Excellent service! Drinks were great. Food was amazing! It was a totally new experience for me. I loved all the authentic flavors of the food. I would highly recommend it to everyone.
Great tasting Colombian dishes and drinks every time we visit. The flavors are authentic and bold. The house salsa is garlicky, limey, and so good that I end up putting it on everything. The Picada is a must order appetizer with a delicious mix of meats, potatoes, yucca, and plantains that is perfect for sharing. The Bandeja Paisa is another favorite and never disappoints. I have also recently fallen in love with the pechuga de pollo. I skip the sauce and use the house salsa instead and it makes the dish even better. They also have fun and memorable Colombian items, coffee, and snacks at the entrance that I love browsing through every visit. Always a great experience.
I was in East Austin with a bunch of friends when we decided to try Casa Colombia. Two members of my group had never tried Colombian food before, but by the time we left they were hooked. The atmosphere was alive for a Saturday night with families celebrating birthdays and people on dates. I had the Ropa Veija, which I was suspicious of because I grew up in Miami; however, it was amazing.
What a fantastic place to eat! Have been twice now and both times had excellent food! Had the opportunity to talk with the owners and really enjoyed the conversations. Last trip was to treat the in-laws to someplace new for their anniversary and they both enjoyed it very much. We will definitely be back. My question to everyone else is...what are you waiting for? If you haven't been you're missing out on great Columbian cuisine!
Amazing Colombian food in Austin! I started with their Colombian martini. There are several flavors to choose from, and I went with mango. It’s made with 2.5 oz of the rum of your choice, 1.5 oz Triple Sec, 2.5 oz sweet and sour, 0.75 oz agave, 3 oz tropical pulp, and finished with a splash of Sprite. Super refreshing and perfectly balanced. For an appetizer, my friend and I shared their beef and potato empanada — a fried cornmeal patty stuffed with seasoned filling. I’m used to Argentine empanadas, so I found the ratio of cornmeal to filling heavier than I prefer (more cornmeal than filling) but the flavor was still great and it came out nice and crispy. For my main, I had the churrasco — grilled top sirloin marinated in chimichurri sauce, served with green beans, fried yuca, mashed potatoes, and a ramekin of chimichurri on the side. It was a ton of food and absolutely delicious.
Lulo juice and Mora juice they’re my favorites!! I had Arepa rellena with chicken and is really good and the sauce “ají” is magnificent. Delicious! The staff is very nice and the music too, remind my time in Colombia. POV: if you want to order something for to go, please check your order before you leave the restaurant, because they put an older empanada in my order for to go.
If you’re looking for authentic Colombian food that feels like home, this is the place. I was born and raised in Queens, New York, and have been searching for Colombian food that brings back the flavors I grew up with—this spot delivered exactly that. The food was incredible and reminded me of meals from my childhood. We started with the arepas con queso and Colombian chorizo—simple, classic, and full of flavor. My husband ordered the bandeja paisa, and I had the tamal valluno—both were comforting, hearty dishes with generous portions. We even had leftovers to take home! We also grabbed a pan de bono to go, which was perfect with coffee later. The drinks were just as impressive. We ordered the mango colada and maracuyá mojito—both were made right in front of us and were super refreshing. Service was excellent. Our bartender, Daniel, was friendly and made great drinks. Stefany F., our server, was so kind and patient—she really made us feel welcome. The restaurant has a spacious layout with plenty of seating in the back and some cozy spots near the bar. It’s a great place for lunch, dinner, or a family outing. Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for delicious, authentic Colombian food with great service.
Casa Colombia is a lively spot that clearly attracts a crowd, so don’t be surprised if smaller parties find themselves getting less attention initially. Service started off a bit slow and could have been more attentive, especially compared to the big groups or regulars who seemed to be prioritized. However, once our server Carlos got around to us, he turned it around and provided excellent service—great job, Carlos. I tried the Pabellon, a traditional Venezuelan dish featuring marinated shredded beef with criolla sauce and plantains. Although it’s not purely Colombian, the flavors were close enough and fairly satisfying. One thing that stood out, though, was the speed—my dish arrived almost too quickly. It made me wonder if they’re just pre-assembling these in the back rather than cooking fresh. Not necessarily a deal-breaker, but something to keep in mind if you’re looking for that just-made taste. The atmosphere is vibrant and upbeat, with plenty of happy chatter and authentic Colombian music filling the space. Overall, Casa Colombia is worth checking out, especially if you’re in the mood for lively energy and quick, decent food.
Our party of three arrived around 1:45 pm on a Sunday. The parking lot is a bit small but we're able to find a space. It was a hot day but we agreed to be seated outside so our wait was very short. There were fans that kept us from being too hot but it was pretty warm. Our waiter was very efficient and friendly. We were served in an appropriate amount of time. The food was really delicious. Probably the best salmon I have ever eaten.
We flew in to Austin and were on our way to Waco. We stopped at Casa Colombia for dinner after a day of traveling. The staff were all so inviting, our server was amazing and so kind. There was a DJ playing music and the food was AMAZING! The overall experience was great, the food was colorful and so flavorful. We tried a sampler as an appetizer, I had the Tamale and it was so good. My wife had the stuffed chicken and we couldn’t get over how fresh everything was. I would highly recommend this as a place to visit.

My food was so good! I had a stuffed plantain, a shrimp appetizer, and the chicken casserole. Amazing food and service!
I love Mexican cuisine but it was so great to find more Latin flavors! Enjoyed a Cuban favorite (ropa vieja). \n\nThe space was clean and had some cute wall decoration and our waiter was attentive.
Food is bomb and I'm always craving it. They're super quick and fair priced. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for authentic Colombian food.
Great food for a fair price, ordered takeout steak and it was cooked really well. Will eat here again

So good, I can’t wait to visit again. Marciella was especially kind and generous with her attention.
Cozy place with very attentive personnel. The food was really good, quality, taste and portions. The fruit juices are exquisite!

I found this restaurant by accident and it was not disappointed trying Columbian food for the first time. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, he explained every item on the menu.
i wouldnt call myself a picky eater but i was a bit nervous trying colombian food for the first time, i did not know what to expect from any plate but man this might be one of my top favorite dishes in austin. i recommend the Bistec a Caballo, its steak topped with a onion-y tomato sauce which is AMAZING. it comes with beans & fried plantains but we like to substitute an extra order of white rice & mashed potatoes. their portions are big so my partner & i like to split this dish!
Food was good. The space was OK. There was alot of tables very close together and it was difficult to walk around. Difficult to get a server or get them to bring napkins. Parking near the restaurant was rough but they did havw more parking across the street. Overall the experience was nice.
This place is authentic Colombian with Colombian waiters and clients. Loved their demeanor and the place’s character. Food was a bit greasy but if you like your food to be on the greasy side and very tasty, it’s for you. Loved the down to earth attitude and service. The garlic sauce that came with the tostones was delicious!

We were so hoping for some good Colombian food to remind us of home, unfortunately we were disappointed. We sat on the patio as it was quite noisy inside, but we didn’t escape the noise, it was difficult to talk. The chairs were not so comfortable but we persevered. But we persevered and ordered empanadas as an appetizer. They were not so good, more like meat pies rather than empanadas. My wife ordered Arroz co Pollo with a side of red beans, unfortunately it was bland and the beans were rather tasteless. I ordered sausage, beans avocado and fries. The sausage was ok but the beans were bland and the fries were cool. All in all not a great experience. We will continue searching for a nice Colombian restaurant in Austin.

Upon arrival, the entrance was extremely crowded, creating an uncomfortably warm environment. The addition of ceiling fans or improved ventilation would greatly enhance the guest experience during peak hours. The service was acceptable, though not particularly remarkable. Unfortunately, the food fell far below expectations. I ordered two arepas with chicharrón, and the arepas became hard within minutes. The lack of seasoning and overall flavor was disappointing, not only in this dish but across several other plates we tried. Regrettably, this was one of the most flavorless experiences I’ve had at a Hispanic restaurant. There is significant room for improvement in both the food quality and overall guest comfort.

I don’t want to give a low review. I had the best time. Pero. My waiter gave my friends and himself “free” shots that were his words gratís (didn’t ask for them). But they were on my bill. I get the hustle but not for that
We had good food, but the mood was off from the moment we walked in. 5min without any word from staff so we sat ourselves, had to ask for menus then they asked if we wanted to move and if we were eating there. Then they told us someone had dined and dashed earlier and thats why half the staff was in the parking lot. The power went out twice while we ate, and we had to beg for a check after everyone went silent and would not look our way. I finally paid in cash since the card reader was down. No attempt to tell us what was going on, it was like pulling teeth. Awful service and way too many employees loitering around for a total of four patrons

Austin's Slice of Colombia: Savoring Authenticity at Casa Colombia
There’s a spot in Austin that’s quickly becoming my go-to when I crave a true taste of Colombia, and that’s Casa Colombia. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a family secret, serving up dishes that are both hearty and incredibly flavorful.Let’s talk drinks first, because their Colombian Martini is often a highlight.
