Got food really quick. Salsa spicy, just the way I live it. Food wasn't bland like most places. Waiter really nice.

Good morning friends of Facebook The catedral del marisco on4118 hwy 35 so. At ben white is under new management Sincerely Paco lara
This place has amazing food & service!!! Highly recommend it 👌!
This is some of the best Authentic Mexican food you’ll ever eat. Exceeded my expectations by far, I was so happy I chose to wander in there and sit down and it. If you know anything about Mexican food or even if you don’t, you’ll love it. First timers this is the place to find out out how it’s really done. The bomb!!
Delicious seafood. Good prices. Great service. Food took a little while to arrive but it was fresh, made to order and so required a certain time to prepare. Other reviewers complained of slow service, perhaps they neglected to take this into account.
I judge a Mexican place by its salsa and Guacamole. If that’s processed a not made in the restaurant, I don’t except much. Both of those items were fire. Their homemade hot sauce was great too. The portions are big, but don’t expect posh atmosphere. I think there has slot machine in the restaurant!
Two words: homemade tortillas. Great prices. Amazing chips. You know, the kind that can actually be used to scoop up the barbacoa that falls out of your taco but doesn’t break your teeth. (First chips and salsa is free.) The red salsa is a good blend with great spices. It is spicy. But the good spicy, flavor not just heat. I ordered one barbacoa taco and one Al pastor both with corn tortillas. Yes, they are greasy. That is what I wanted. But if you want super dry, blah Mexican on the healthier side, go to Torchy’s. I liked the Al pastor with the green salsa served alongside. But, barbacoa always has my heart. Note there is a 4% fee for payment via card. The music was kind of loud. An oasis for a former Texan spending the last 6 months in Northeast Wisconsin.
Had the chicharrones with green sauce, scrambled eggs and beans very delicious. If I'm in the area again I will be there again.
Food is amazingly awesome here. Pork taco was the best in town. We will be back for sure. The music is pretty loud.

Atmosphere is chill, Sopa 7 Mares was rock solid, their other options looked good too, tortillas appear to be and taste store-made which is a plus

I had a seafood soup and it was good. The hot sauce there is spicy and good
This place is great I love the tortas and the service here Is good 🌝
My shrimp cocktail was delicious! I will be back.
The food here is pretty good.
Good food
The waitresses are nice
Foods really good.. Service wasn't as good.. But still yummy food and good prices. 😊
We stopped into #3 as we passed by. Some really great tasting TexMex. Super friendly service and good sized portions. We took our food to-go so we sat in the entrance and waited briefly for our order. Good stuff here at #3 Dicks

Nice place great hostess
Cozy with well seasoned food.
Food was ok.
What this fine restaurant lacks in amenities, it makes up for with great seafood at great prices. Beer is also served here and the Coke is from Mexico with real sugar. Bathrooms were super clean.
Don't understand why I was charged a 5 percent of my bill because I used my credit card. Other than that food was good.
Authentic Mexican food and an authentic Mexican enviornment. The food however was lacking flavor and the staff seem uninterested in the guests.
It's not that good and more expensive than they should be.
Not impressed with their breakfast! The place is really a Mexican food restaurant geared on Seafood Mexican style. Also beware that the menu has a price and at check out it's another. According to the waitress they updated the POS system first and neglected to change the menus.
Descent establiment. Ordered caldo de pescado y camarón, cóctel de camarón y plato de costillas. Ordered iced tea and a michelada. The fish had bone so that was a turn off for next time but good flavor. Michelada had something missing. It had a watered down sauce taste so wasn't too happy about it. The cóctel was good. And as for the costillas, the meat had an old taste or probably the oil they use to cook the meat. The green sauce was supposed to of had been spicy but it was bland. I added chip salsa to it. Loved the fresh tortillas tho 😁
A tad expensive for what it is … It’s a seafood based Tex-mex joint, kinda old school, kinda shabby, but perfectly acceptable. (Seriously, the environs are pretty bare bones inside, very much a “seen better days” vibe) The food is good, not great, but perfectly good. If only the prices were around 30% lower….
So The food is really good. First of all it smells like fresh menudo. Either you like and can appreciate that smell, or you don't. I don't and it was tough for about the first 15-20 minutes until I couldn't smell it anymore . It did seem a little pricey for the meal. For my wife and I it was $50 including tip. That just seemed steep for the restaurant style and food. The service was great. The food tasted good, but not $50 for 2 people good. I had a seafood platter and my wife had the spicy seafood soup. The selection of different kinds of shrimp was excellent. The grilled shrimp and the bacon wrapped were definitely my favorite. There were 2 catfish fillets that were ok. The fish tasted good but the batter was odd and thick. I don't do oysters by my wife said they were oysters. It came with no other types of sides - no rice, beans, guac, coleslaw. My wife loves the spiciness of her soup. Lots of shrimp and imitation lump crab. There were also a whole lot of mussels and clams and probably octopus. Not her favorite selection in those other items, especially as overwhelming as they were. But if you love that selection this soup would be great for you

Food is good, but if you don't change the music I wont be back. Who can enjoy their meal listening to Mexican Rap? Tejano, Nortena, Cubano. Anything would be better. Most people who dine here are not 20 yr old clubbers.

Food came all tossed everywhere on plate mixed all together
The food is good but the prices are like if your buying a piece of gold🥴 we paid 60 bucks for 2 beef fajita plates.. yikessss
No carne guisada on the menu. We both had the Gringo plate and it was ok. We ordered a chili con queso that just didn't look right. The flavor was off too. It tasted like someone had crushed up a bunch of cheddar goldfish and mixed it in. But then when we started stirring it we realized that the cheese was curdled.
I thought the food was good. However, I hate to say this.... But, here is the truth. This place is VERY bias against "non-hispanic" people. They insisted that I pay for my meal BEFORE it was prepared and served. The other patrons that were there were all Hispanic and ALL of their tables were given their bill AFTER their meal was finished. But not me. Also, all the other Hispanic tabels got chips & salsa when they sat down. They also got refills of the chips & salsa. I had to ask for the C&S... then got no refills. When I asked for some more, they told me it was an additional $3.50! There was no additional charge for the others (I Actually asked the table behind me). They gave me my water in an obvious "cracked" and very old plastic glass, which leaked on my table. I had to take the container to the front for a new one. The other tables got "nice" containers. They even charged me a Service Fee for paying with a credit card ($1.69). Again, I asked the other table next to me.... They were charged NO Service Fee for credit card payment. The server even watched as I filled in the tip (I subtracted the $1.69) on a 5% tip. I found they were insulting and bigoted. Again, the food had a good flavor - However, I cannot recommend a restaurant that treats non-hispanics with such contempt. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
Had the fish and shrimp soup, flavor was ok but wasn't a fan of all the bones on the fish. Ceviche mixto was a little better. Not worth it for me.
They get 2 stars because the food is really good. The service is the worst I've ever encountered. I've been here several times but won't go back again. I ordered 5 tacos to go, and showed up 15 minutes later. It took an extra 30 minutes to get my tacos, and every single one was wrong. It was like they made them wrong on purpose. Lately they hang up on you when you try to make a to go order. Pass!
Terrible customer service. Was told to sit at table for order but they attended other people arriving. When bringing it up the waitresses were rude as if it was my fault to remind them to attend to us. Sea food wasn’t prepared correctly , and portions were small , like they just threw everything in to get us out as fast as they could. Wouldn’t recommend.

Ok place small and seems family owned, this is my first and last visit. Traditional Mexican food. You pay for extra chips and all extras, they were trying to charge me extra for everything, even a fee to pay for my food. I stayed by counter waiting for my kids and wife to return from the restrooms and other tables were not charged extra as I was. Food portions are small and didnt match the portions or numbers of items per plate and prices on the higher side for what you get. 3.5 stars. Ok service but the waitress had to ask me 3 times what I ordered and even the cook was asking her multiple times what i ordered, i had to repeat my order in spanish and i shook them because they understood i could understand what they were saying but am American. service was ok but seemed biased to me, little run down but decent food next to the hotel. Easy and quick if you are staying there. I hate saying it but I had the feeling I was charged extra and treated differently by the way I looked and my race. I really will not plan on coming here again and dont recommend this establishment. I just smiled and payed the extra 10 dollars they over charged me, a payment fee and left no tip.
Very poor service they never came to ask what we needed to drink or take our orders!!
DO NOT EAT HERE WORSE SEA FOOD IN AUSTIN!NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!BAD SERVICE AS WELL!
They charge $6 for a 12 oz. Bottle of Corona beer.
Wasn't very good at all but it was late.
The worst ever place to eat Mexican seafood. I came with my family, we ordered 5 plates an none no any one was as at least medium quality that the worst place in Mexico would offer. The food was flavorless, no salt in it, worse seasoning. Th crab tostada with the worst sour cream ever the cheapest quality. The fried beans in camarones al mojo de ajo where not fresh they were from a can and also of the cheapest quality you can notice right away the conservative flavor on them. The bathrooms are falling apart and old . And the worst is that the pricesses are not cheap at all.
Nasty old tacos, I got food poisoning
The survives suxs been sittin her 20 mins and still no one came and ask for drinks or our order. Tha tables that was set after use have been survived. No one that works here speaks english.. Worst place ever lord help these ppl
Would not recommend it here we ordered shrimp rice and beans and was not good at all very dry unseasoned beans and rice didn’t look fresh also corn tortillas were very hard and stale.
The worst "restaurant" in Austin, the service awful, the music excessively loud, long time waiting for the food and the place dirty, booth seats all teared up... definitely not going back.
Don't order the seafood. Was over cooked, and hard to chew. The Mexican enchiladas were good.
Bad service. Ryder waitress. Shitty food.
Expecting better taste for being mexican food, food was too greasy, sorry not a good place to eat.
Very expensive not great food or service.. only my husband ate and two of my kids.. our bill came out to $72
Went in at 9 pm. We were the only 4 in the restaurant and they got 3 out of 4 of our orders wrong. The waitress was rude and didn't offer refills. Asked us what kind of tortillas we wanted then never brought them. When one of us pointed out their order was wrong, she just said...sorry and shrugged her shoulders and walked away.
Worst experience ever. Bad looking place on the outside and inside(okay no problem, sometimes places like that, have the best food right!!!.) NOT THIS TIME!. REALLY, BUT REALLY BAD FOOD TASTE, ALL WAS OVER COOK, WITH THAT BURNING NASTY TASTE. I ended up paying 95dlls, for two plates, and some appetizers, I guess there over charging you to remodeling the place... Definitely NOT RECOMMEND IT. AND BELIEVE ME, I am not going back to that place even if the food is free......
I gave it one star because I have to. I've seen this place since after IHOP (precious previous restaurant) and have always been tempted to try it out. They did not put effort in the interior (still looked like ihop) I should have noticed something was wrong bit I decided to stay. All of the plates looked good ok the menu. I ordered enchiladas Guerrero-4 enchiladas w/ a quail. The quail was ok (I think it was a morning dive though) my greatest disappointment was in the enchiladas. There was almost no cheese, and to top it off it was PARMESEAN CHEESE. For all of this I paid 16$ Never again.
Ordered to go food and while picking up added an order of chips and salsa forgot I had all about my drink when I got home noticed and started calling the place to ask about my drink nobody ever picked the phone which I also had called the restaurant's #2 location (I had ordered at the #3 location) and after hanging up on me and me calling back they said to me that they were also not picking up the phone @ location #3. Anyway long story short I had to physically go to the Catedral del marisco #3 to have the lady at the counter fulfill my order and then she had the audacity to say she never charged me for my drink so she charged me again which at this point I did not care anymore because I was very thirsty. Anyway needless to say I will not be returning here. Even though I really like their 2 other locations on cesar chavez and oltorf. This one really blows.
Everything was good but the waitress was overcharging us plus she didn’t put no condiments the cilantro and onions. Plus always has an attitude arrogant
Service is terrible, waitresses does not listen and does what she wants. Busted bits of chips, can't scoop salsa, no soada machineis like McDonald's icecream, broken. How is this a terrible place that can't speak Spanish or understand what Verde means? These people are a joke.
Today my husband my self went for the 2nd time. The 1st time we went was great. The service ,the food, very clean, Great. Although after today don't think will be going back! The food was still great but the service was awful. There was only one waiter and I am fine with that but his customer service was awful made us feel like weren't wanted there. We ordered the levanta muerto caldo , ceviche tostadas, the raw oysters the calamari and a shrimp cocktail to go a michelada and 2 beers which we never gone one of them. Then we ask for more tarter sauce and waiter shows up with another order of Calamari we said we didn't order it that we just wanted the sauce the waiter just push the plate of calamari on the table said well i place another order We had to pay for it not even a i'm sorry or anything. He was very rude!
Husband and I are in from Houston. We were joined by two of his works for dinner. We order the 30$ mixed grill. We got one set of tortillas (4). The other two got the crispy taco dinner that took 20 minutes to make. We ordered more tortillas and got chard’s 2$ for 3 tortillas. They guys ordered canned sprite and received bottled told the waiter they order canned he smiled and said it’s okay. We got charged for the waiters mistake. The kicker was at check out. The waiter gave my husband his change and has the nerve to say “ the tip isn’t included just in case you were wondering “. As a waitress I have never reminded the customer that the tip wasn’t included in the bill! Expensive prices , cheap food and poor service! And awful music. First and last time we go there! 🤦♀️
Food was terrible I didn't expect my mojo de Ajo to have big pieces of tomato and big pieces of bell pepper that was not authentic in any way than my rice was full of the onion and bell peppers and tomato made the rice super salty could not enjoy it I spent 75$ for all the food I ordered and I would not ever return again. Service was good fast but food not something I would suggest!!.
They have meals listed for $14.99 we ordered 2 plates and 2 drinks and we were charged $61.48 very disappointed and the food was not worth the price of the meal. Wait staff was not very helpful. The place needs to be cleaned properly, there was a bad smell of old wet mop when we entered the restaurant, that should’ve been a red flag. But we decided to give this place a try, it was our first time there. BIG MISTAKE!!
