Opinions de Marufuku Ramen Austin
Walked in for an order of Ripple Fries and the server Naz gave me a wait time. While I was waiting, I noticed how intentional, caring, and nice Naz was being to several customers that walked in and with his team members. After a few minutes my fries were fresh and ready! Naz was attentive to all customers and made walking into SweetGreens for fries an exceptional experience. Will be going back again for more Ripple Fries!
I love when I walk into a place and I am greeted with a hello and smiles! Everyone was super helpful in helping me figure out what kind of salad I wanted I ended up getting the crispy rice bowl but subbed the cabbage for kale! It is a nice location - get your salad before or after a movie at Alamo!
With all the conferences occurring at the hotels in Austin, Sweetgreen is great as a healthy alternative to the amazing BBQ in Austin. The service is quick and the value is amazing. It was $0.50 more to add on extra veggies per item. The salad was delicious and the ingredients are fresh. Highly recommend. They also have plenty of seating outdoors.
Guccipotle The $18 Harvest Bowl was tasty and healthy. It came with many veggies and the portion was a good size. Great service. The only thing I didn't like was the container. I was given a to-go container even though I was going to dine in and it made eating out of it more complicated.
Staff was friendly and helpful. There are some great healthy options. My shrimp salad was tasty and filling. It would be great to pick up and have in your refrigerator for later.
AJ took our order and made our food. He was so polite and everything tasted great. Exceptional customer service from him.
The Kale Ceasar is the best salad I've ever had. Great service and nice area of town.
Ordered thru the app. Easy to do, including making changes to a standard offering. Paid with Google Wallet. Order was ready and waiting at the promised time.
My all time favorite spot for lunch or a quick healthy dinner. Plus Ruby is always so sweet!
Aracely was a great server who was quick, kind, and diligent. She truly made my bowl as if she was the one that was going to be enjoying it - not a lot of servers do that! Also, Aracely, came to serve me when she noticed that I had been waiting for a couple minutes on the primary server - really great guest awareness!
Very satisfying ramen! Great flavor profile, comes with the usual toppings! Good service, they’re all very nice and helpful! Interior is so warm and inviting, while still looking fancy, perfect for a dinner date! Takoyaki is always freshly made so please be careful when you take a bite because it will be piping hot! Retains heat well, so I kinda just ruin it and poke a hole in it haha, it works! Great umami taste, nice sauce and flakes on top! Also, definitely get the yuzu mango tea! Delectable! Something I wanted to bring up is how my spicy tan tan ramen was dressed, looked a little concerning, and unappealing but! Still tasted good of course and that’s what matters! One more thing would be how small the matcha cheesecake slice is. I was laughing for a minute, trying to compare it to things around it. It’s a mini slice that comes with one scoop of vanilla ice cream. I’m not too sure if it suits the $7+ price tag, but what can you do. It is creamy at least!
one of the best ramen places in austin and honestly— it has become my favorite. the menu is limited to a few types of broth and appetizers but justifiably so, as the broths are delicious. it is rather pricey because you cannot remove toppings but can add them on the side so it can add up. the service is pretty typical, i went on a rather slow day and enjoyed being able to enjoy the atmosphere and my food.
Currently the best ramen in austin. Tatsu-ya sadly feel off years ago and it took me way too long to find this place. My one gripe is parking is not validated its discounted through a qr code thats printed and taped to the door which i don't fully understand. Its needlessly confusing but thats more of a mullar issue.
This ramen restaurant is absolutely amazing! The noodles are perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and honestly the best I’ve had anywhere in Texas. The broth is rich, the toppings are fresh, and every bowl tastes like it was made with real care. The service is friendly, the place is clean, and the food comes out hot and delicious every time. If you’re a ramen lover—or even if you’re trying it for the first time—this is definitely the spot to go. Highly recommended!
Visited this place a couple of weeks ago as we were craving some ramen. Loved the cozy interior and welcoming staff, with plenty of comfortable seating available. We ordered the octopus balls and vegetarian (tofu) ramen. Everything was served fresh and hot. They dont guarantee non bacon/pork contact, so thats one thing to keep in mind if you are a vegetarian or have other religious dietary requirements. The food and ambience however were amazing.
We’ve been here before but visited recently for their buy one get one promotion. We had never seen it this busy before! Normally, we don’t have to wait but this time, it was about a 45 minute wait on a Sunday afternoon. When we were finally seated, we were told they had sold out of the Hakata Tonkotsu DX which was a bummer as it’s our favorite. Basically, they were out of the buta kakuni. So we ended up getting the Hakata Tonkotsu and added corn and nori. The broth is so good and I love the jammy egg that comes with it. Overall, this place is a really solid choice for getting your ramen fix in! And the atmosphere inside is very nice too.
Honestly, some of the best ramen I've had since I've moved to Austin. I got the hakata tonkatsu and I was really impressed with the broth! There was so much flavor and it didn't taste too salty. It was perfectly rich and creamy. The egg was perfectly soft boiled. The pork belly was very flavorful and very delicious. The noodles were pretty good too. I also got an order of the karaage which was juicy and crispy! Service was really nice and the interior felt cozy. I especially loved the seats! They were so comfortable. I highly recommend this place!
Such a gem for our group! We came here for Mother’s Day with 2 families, the ramen did not disappoint, warm sake was delicious, dessert was authentic, kids meal was a steal with meal combo drinks and dessert 🤗 my picky kids loved everything! Such a wonderful evening spend for a perfect celebration 🎊
I was quite impressed with the depth and tastiness of the broth! Count me in as a repeat customer. We tried the spicy chicken tantan and the paitan (we don't eat pork, so we were limited to either chicken or veggie based broth). As starters we tried the fried chicken, squid and octopus. Everything was very tender and tasty.
Tried the Chicken Paitan DX and wow This place really delivered. The broth was insanely rich and flavorful, probably one of the best I’ve had in a while. The ramen itself was perfectly done, and I really appreciated the texture and depth of the toppings. That grilled chicken leg on the side had this amazing sweetness to it that balanced out the whole dish in the best way. But honestly, what made the whole experience even better was the service. My server (I believe her name was Brandi) was super friendly, attentive, and just made the whole vibe feel warm and welcoming. Definitely looking forward to coming back
Came here from a friendly recommendation from those that like food and i was beyond surprised at how much i enjoyed this place... I had the spicy mosso Ramen, my child had the chicken paitan, and my wife had the chicken karaga bowl. Everything here was near prefect. The food was fresh with a good presentation. The flavor blends were great. I gawked a little at thy no substitutions note but can see why now. I normally am very hit or miss on miso broths but this raised the bar. Service was great and the patio seating was nice. We will most certainly come back even with a sizeable drive.
I can see why this place is popular now, it’s a really nice and flavorful tonkotsu broth. The medium spice didn’t really have much spice so I would go more if you’re really looking for a “spicy tonkotsu.” The egg wasn’t marinated like I prefer but at least was cooked really nicely. Service was fine, atmosphere was kinda busy and warm.
Convenient spot for healthy options in plates or bowls. I had the hot honey chicken. It satisfied. I like the list of food suppliers on the wall. 👍🏼
There was a short wait when we went for dinner but we were surprised by how quickly we got our table, and the service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed the Hakata Tonkotsu DX ramen. I got the spiciest level, but it was perfect and wasn't spicy to me. Overall, this is a great ramen spot to satisfy your cravings.
This spot is all about bowls with healthy options. The amount they give you in each bowl is just right, enough to fill you up and feel satisfied without being too much or too little. The service is decent, and since it's rarely crowded, you get served quickly without long waits. You can also order your food online and pick it up, which is convenient. The downside is the place itself - it's kinda dull and gloomy, not really a lively atmosphere. I'd recommend grabbing your order and eating somewhere else to enjoy your meal more.
I dined in yesterday, and it was a little pricey($18) for my bowl but everything was fresh, nice portion size and delicious. Today at work we ordered Sweetgreens from Mueller via Grub Hub and we were extremely disappointed. Maybe due to the large order(11 bowls), but it looked like everything was quickly thrown together without consideration of portion size or presentation. The picture of the bowl shown has not been touch. Due to to the premium ingredients of goat cheese and avocado this bowl was slightly more than yesterday at $20!
Tried the new Omega bowl, the salmon piece I got was so small (nothing like photo on the app). Not worth $18. Also service was sub par. Should’ve gone to Honest Mary’s right next door
I come to this sweetgreen all the time as I work nearby. Today I had an unfortunate experience. I had ordered online, picked up my food and walked back to work. When I opened it I realized they didn’t give me chicken I was supposed to get and put sweet potatoes instead which I didn’t ask for. I walked back and showed them the order. She took my plate back which I find unsanitary to begin with. But then picked up the sweet potatoes from my plate and put them back in the serving tray on the line. Then plopped the chicken on top and gave it back. I think it should’ve been remade for food safety reasons and considering it contained an ingredient I didn’t ask for. I’ve worked food service and I know this is not how it should’ve been handled. I’m not one to complain but that was very concerning to see and I feel people should know about this since it is a health safety concern. I come here a lot and usually don’t have a problem other than staff being kind of short and sometimes rude with me.
Tried here during their ramen bowl BOGO event. Glad we did, as the base prices are pretty high for what you get. We had the tonkotsu ramen with the extra meat (pork belly). Overall, the bowl is quite small. The chashu is very thin and just two slices. Not much flavor from it. The pork belly was better but not the tenderest. Other toppings were minimal, and I’m not really a fan of corn in ramen. The only thing plentiful was the noodles, which were quite nice. Very good texture. The broth was decent, but not up to the standard of others like Tatsuya. A bit thin. Oh, and the egg is very basic. Just soft boiled. Not marinated. Overall, pretty disappointing. Oh, and when busy, it is very loud inside. Service was pretty lackluster. You could tell they weren’t having fun with how busy it was. We were also told to wait outside after we added our name to this list when we arrived, with the host telling us you can’t wait inside and block space. We asked if we could get a drink at the bar and he said, ‘no wait outside’. Later, we saw people waiting inside exactly where we had been standing. They seemed to be friends of the host, so I guess didn’t have to wait outside on a hot day like the rest of us peons.
I usually don’t write reviews unless I’ve had either an amazing experience or a truly miserable one. Unfortunately, this visit was the latter. When I arrived, there was one person ahead of me being helped by a woman who was patient and compassionate. As I waited, the man prepping in the back came up to assist me. The moment he approached, he said “What you want,” in an uninterested, dismissive tone. I brushed it off at first, but things only went downhill as I started building my bowl. I was completely disregarded in terms of patience and customer service, even though I was ordering two bowls—one for myself and one for my partner, as I often do. After choosing my base, we moved on to toppings, where I felt rushed through every selection. We couldn’t move forward because the customer ahead of me was still choosing their toppings, yet he kept pushing me to list everything I wanted, even though we hadn’t reached the other stations. I asked that we complete one bowl at a time to avoid confusion and cross-contamination. Throughout the entire interaction, his impatience and rude tone made me genuinely want to walk out and abandon my order. Once I was passed off to the woman who had been assisting the previous customer, the experience immediately shifted back to the level of service I normally expect from Sweetgreen. As a loyal customer for years, this visit was incredibly disappointing and left me with a genuinely miserable impression.
Lol this place is sad! I don’t really review places unless it’s amazing or the opposite. This place is definitely the opposite. Don’t know what happened but the last few months this location has gone to trash. I’d rather eat out of the trash than eat here. Don’t know who’s managing it but it seems to be run by a bunch of children who think they are so cool! I overheard them making fun of a customer with a nut allergy saying some very gross things. Won't go into details but I’m sure you can imagine. What happened to the older guy who was managing before? He actually seemed to care about this business. I’ll be going somewhere else from now on.
Just came here for the first time since I’ve been wanting to try their salads. I did a create your own salad and it came out to almost $30 for one salad! I was charged additional for everything added while some toppings like mushrooms is the cost of chicken because it’s “protein” I would have left this salad there but I didn’t want to feel bad and waste the time of the person who made it even though he face off a very nonchalant attitude….. then to learn that there’s a limited season special salad on the website for $15 that is the exact way I made my salad. Yes I probably should have done a little due diligence on my end to fully explore the menus and offerings…. But would have been nice if the employee caught that and made the suggestion to a patronized customer. Guess every dollar counts towards him getting a raise. Go figure.
The menu in the store doesn't actually tell you prices. It tells you a range. So the cost is just a surprise at the end. The staff didn't know how much certain protein choices would cost, and there was literally no way to know. I guess they only want rich people eating here? Unbelievable.
Quality of the food has significantly gone downhill. Let’s face it - we return to restaurants for the food / quality of ingredients - NOT just the service & the atmosphere. I won’t be returning anytime soon. They used to have many ORGANIC option of the toppings etc , now there’s barely anything organic.
