Opinions de Brunch Bird Austin
Best quick breakfast spot in atx so far! Havent sat down and ate here but have picked up to go a few times. Each and every time has been great food and service. The biscuits are big and filling, great prices as well. The food is consistently excellent and have never had any issues. The firebird is my favorite, not too spicy at all. however I just tried the lovely day and that one is also great. However the dill sauce is to die for so I dont think anything has topped that one.
Heads up, order online before you go and do pickup! This places gets PACKED, but for good reason! Everything was so good and you’d be surprised at how much that chicken biscuit fills you up! Chicken quality is so good and so yummy. Love the outdoor seating area too!
The Firebird sandwich is crazy good, also their coffee! My second time there, was in line for ~15min and by the time we ordered they ran out of biscuits (almost end of day), so the manager gave us a giftcard so we can come back and eat for free next time. Over the top service! Definitely going back.
The food was so good! I had the Queen Beak, Fire Bird, and let me tell you each one had it own flavor and taste that just hit my soul to my toes! Had my dancing! Try there sauces as well cuz that made a difference! SHOUT OUT TO BRENDA! She help us Make the best choices and she checked up on us honestly her customer service was so amazing that this will be one the reason I’ll come back here 10/10
Staff is incredibly friendly and nice, especially Max! He gave us free lemonade, donuts when I told him that it was my first time visiting the place. Biscuit was top notch. I will keep visiting the place. Great seating area outside.
Best chicken sandwich biscuit of my life - the Carolina caviar was balanced really well with coleslaw and pickles. The fries and cinnamon dough doughs are must order too. The only annoying thing is seating - there are so many bees flying around by you.
Seriously the BEST breakfast biscuit sandwhich and the best bird bird biscuit location in my opinion. The food is always amazing and don’t skip on the biscoff cookie it’s to die for
Delicious biscuits, with a good sized piece of chicken but not so large it’s messy to eat. The green chili pimento topping was such a good flavor paired with the chicken and the biscuit. I like that the biscuit holds together and doesn’t crumble. It is still fluffy with a good texture. My husband got the hot chicken biscuit and demolished it in record time. He didn’t speak until he was done so I’m assuming it was good.
This place was amazing. There is a kiosk you order from and text you when your order is ready. It does get pretty busy but it is quick. Parking could also be a bit challenging. The biscuits were good. We had the lovely day without pesto. We also ordered a biscoff cookie and it was delicious. We spent about $30 here. I would definitely recommend and come back again.
“I had an amazing experience at Bird Bird Biscuit. I ordered the Queen Beak for the first time, and it blew me away — the biscuit was warm and flaky, the chicken perfectly cooked, and the flavors balanced and delicious. It’s one of those sandwiches you think about long after the last bite. Highly recommended!” -Sincerely Nick
First time reviewing this tasty biscuit spot but definitely not the first time eating here. These biscuits and jam/jelly are just a morning delight. Biscuits with strawberry jam is my wife’s go to every time. Btw the jam is made by them 🤤. I have enjoyed every biscuit sandwich and tbh I could say all of them were my favorite. A very reliable place to eat and love that they are pet friendly. Staff has always been awesome as well!!! Thank you staff for that great work and environment.
Bird Bird Biscuit never disappoints! The food is always absolutely delicious, and their hospitality is just as amazing. Every visit feels welcoming, and the team always goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. A special shoutout to the handsome guy who remade my order—he was so kind and really made the experience even better. Thank you for making every visit such a treat!
As someone who doesn’t typically like fried chicken sandwiches, this was shockingly delicious. The biscuit is warm, thick, buttery. The chicken is crispy, flavorful. And the whole sandwich comes together so well. I got the firebird and would definitely try other items too. I could not finish one, so will be sharing with someone next time.
We went to the location on Manor Road. I did not have any problems parking on a side street right down from the location. You place your order at a kiosk, however, I didn't realize I walked right by it until we walked up to the pickup window. The cashier was very pleasant and came out to walk us through the process. He also mentioned that they were cashless. However, if my friend wanted to pay by cash he could take her at the window. I was very happy he was able to accommodate but he wasn't sure about how much change he had. I guess it depends on the day and if they have any cash paying customers. I ordered the queen beak which was really good. The biscuits are delicious. A combination of warm, crispy and buttery. The Chipotle mayo is a nice combination with the right amount of spice. My friend ordered the firebird and she also enjoyed her sandwich. She talked about it all day after eating it. 😁 She was visiting from North Carolina and this will be a place she will want to go back to on her next visit. Sorry about my food picture. I started digging in before I remembered to take one. I would definitely go again.
THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN BISCUIT. I’ve spent 5x the price at other top-rated restaurants in Austin and Bird Bird Biscuit has better friend chicken and biscuits than all of them. I crave this weekly and can’t wait to come back soon (like this week probably). 11/10 would highly recommend. Their manager was also soooo nice and made the already amazing experience that much better. Tip: order ahead on toast for faster pick up.
Absolutely incredible. Bird Bird Biscuit served the best sandwich I’ve ever had — and honestly, the best food I’ve ever eaten. The biscuit was buttery and flaky, and the chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful. Everything was fresh, hot, and made with care. Fast service and super friendly staff made the experience even better. This place is a must-visit in Austin.
Update: My husband and I were invited back by the owner, Brian for a redo. My previous review was definitely an off day because this time it was amazing. The biscuit was buttery and fluffy, the chicken was thick and juicy with perfectly seasoned breading. Everything was perfectly balanced and truly was a delight to eat. We got the fries and dill dipping suace which if you haven't tried it I would highly recommend you get it on your next trip. On the day that we went it was pretty windy out, we ate our fries last and they were still pretty warm and not soggy. Raul also gave us an off menu drink which is the mixture of apricot sweet tea and strawberry lemonade. Honestly this was sooooooooooo good, a splendid beverage that was sweet(but not overly sweet) and refreshing. This honestly should be the drink of the summer. Finally we got an order of Dough Doughs, I was a bit surprised by the texture as it was more cakey than expected but still pretty good. The jam dipping suace was super good and honestly if I wasn't already full from the biscuit and fries I probably could have eaten another 20 of them. This visit was the BBB I fell in love with, amazing food and staff members. A big thank you again to Brian for reaching out to us and making sure that we had a better experience. He truly takes pride in his work and his company and ensuring each customer gets the best visit they can. Thank you again to Brian, Raul, and the BBB staff for the amazing food and service. BBB truly is the best buscuit spot in Austin and you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't try it out. ------- Went and got a queen beak sandwich the other day and it felt like i was just eating a biscuit and breading. The chicken patty was so thin and small and to top it off it was overcooked. Don’t get me wrong the biscuit, honey sauce, and mayo were fantastic but I feel like I should’ve just ordered a biscuit with those sauces on the side. This saddens me as this used to be my go to for a good chicken biscuit sandwich 😭 I’ll definitely give them another shot in the future and hopefully have a better experience.
THESE WERE AMAZING! We tried a biscuit with strawberry jam, it was so simple, so delicious! You could taste the buttery, flaky, goodness in the biscuit!! We also got the fried chicken sandwich with bacon, and we added an egg, it was the best!! We ordered when we got there at the self serve kiosk and it took maybe 10-15 minutes to get our food, and there was a line, so not bad at all! Definitely planning on going back when we’re in the Austin area again!!
Came on a Sunday morning around 10 AM and there was a crowd waiting for their food. Ordering was easy with two self-service tablets. It took about 20–30 minutes for our food to be ready. We ate our biscuits fresh and oh my Lord they were delicious! Firebird ($12): spicy fried chicken breast, dill mayo, thick cut spicy sweet pickles, cilantro. The chicken was beautifully battered, juicy, and flavorful. The warm biscuit had a great crumble and the dill mayo was perfect for this sandwich with so much flavor. The pickle slices were a little too thick for me (about 0.5") so you have to take big bites. I also didn’t feel much heat. Regardless, I'm still thinking about this sandwich, especially that dill mayo. Queen Beak ($11.50) + Egg Over Medium ($1.50): fried chicken breast, spiced pepper honey sauce, bacon infused chipotle mayo. The flavors weren’t as good as the Firebird for me but my husband actually preferred his sandwich. For me, it was lacking a hero flavor. Theodore ($13.70) + Spiced Honey ($0.50): Fried chicken breast, bacon, BBQ sauce, and cheddar. My husband asked for no cheddar. His fried chicken breast was huge, but the biscuits were more overcooked compared to the Carolina Caviar. The spiced honey surprisingly didn't pair well with this sandwich. The BBQ sauce didn't taste like your typical BBQ; it reminded me of cranberry sauce since it was more sweet than tangy. The bacon tasted like McDonald's bacon and was dry and shriveled. I actually made an egg at home and added it to the sandwich, which helped. Carolina Caviar ($14.40): Fried chicken breast, hatch green chili pimento cheese, dill pickles. The hatch green chili pimento cheese with the biscuit gives crab cake benedict vibes in the best way. The biscuits were still overcooked and crumbly, slightly brown instead of golden. Because the biscuits were dry, I like adding the dill mayo on top for extra flavor and moisture. This one was better than the Theodore for me. Dill Mayo Sauce ($1.20): Still delicious, but not as phenomenal as the first time. Fries ($4.20) + Bacon-Infused Chipotle Dipping Sauce ($1): The fries weren't crispy when they arrived, so we air-fried them. The seasoning was good though. We didn't really taste the bacon in the chipotle sauce, so I would skip it.
Went there for the first time a few days ago Super nice staff - the lady free us a fries as that was the first time that we tried . The biscuit itself taste pretty good - I like the butter flavor in the biscuit I order the queen one - not bad, it would be better if there’s more sauce as the chicken doesn’t have a lot of flavor (if you eat it with the biscuit) MUST TRY ITEM - the fries - crispy outside and soft inside, seasoning are SUPER good as well. Definitely 10/10 for the fries. Will eat it again if we have a chance to go there Ps I barely do a review but the staff and food are too nice that I have to do one for them .
We started off Day 1 of our Austin trip with one of the best biscuits I’ve had in my life. For lunch, I had the Queen Beak Sandwich with fried chicken breast, spiced black pepper honey sauce, bacon-infused chipotle mayo. Delicious! And my Biscuits and gravy connoisseur husband gave the sage gravy a thumbs up. The strawberry lemonade was nice and it was cute/ ironic to have a pretty bird come visit while we ate our lunch. Great start to our foodie adventure💕
Plummet from grace. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s been going downhill for a while. At my most recent visit they served a greasy chicken breast wrapped in a pocket reminiscent of something from the freezer aisle. Oil leaked all over. Total garbage, couldn’t finish it. See my second photo for what it used to be like. Dealing with the rude staff used be worth it for the sandwiches. Never coming back after this.
