Great quick meal! Stopped in, had the simple sandwich egg avo and queso Fresca and is was great. Solid almond milk latte Atmosphere is good for some quick work on computer and a lot of to-go orders.

Mary's Cafe is one of those little gems that makes Austin feel like Austin. It's quirky aesthetics are brought to life by a lively and fun crew working hard to make sure their customers leave with a smile. I left with a smile, a full belly, and some how hungry for more!! I had a vanilla iced latte. It tasted like coffee, with hints of vanilla and cream. Which is more than you ask for from most places. It was moderately priced and a good size for the large. It was definitely above average for a nice latte. In a city filled with banana foam lattes it's nice to get a well done basic vanilla latte. I ordered the pumpkin waffle, a season menu item. It was simply delightful. It had an almost caramelized crunch on the corners. The inside was fluffy and the pumpkin flavor was mild to moderate. If you love a flavor punch in the face this isn't your bag of beans but I'll get to that in a minute. This dish was all about the medley of fall flavors. The way the pumpkin, cinnamon sugar, and sweet cream cheese came together felt like a warm hug. It reminds me of coming in from a hard day playing in the snow to get a cuppa hot cocoa and nice piece of cinnamon toast from your mom. Now, for you punch-to-the-face flavor lovers I also got the Pimento Cheese Chicken Panini. It was saucy and smoky with a vibrant kick from the pickled onion. The pricing here is bang-on and very fair. If anything It's a little cheap for what you get flavor wise. It's an affordable cafe with perfect portion sizes for a good lunch that won't leave you feeling gross and may even have a snack for later. Both dishes were big enough for one meal I shared with my husband.

Mary's builds tasty waffles, sandwiches, and coffee with love. Their passion shows through in their food as everything seems to be made in house. When you order a sandwich with a fried egg, that egg is fried then and there. The space forever smells of fresh waffles. The coffee is wonderful and there is not a microwave in site. As Austin's food scene continues to shift towards corporate cash grabs, Mary's represents a memory of a time when eateries were run by passionate individuals crafting food with love.

The Berry Tyler Moore waffle was awesome and was just the right amount of food my wife said. I tried the Shakerato and it was good, reminded me of a brown sugar shaken espresso. Would definitely like to come back and continue trying different items. The sandwiches look really good here.

Old school Austin vibe just down the hill from St Davids. Nice interesting group of diners, staff is young friendly and personally invested in accommodating customers and building clientele- - food is of the bagels and hot wraps. No table service. No frills. School cafeteria furnishings Good coffee. No blueberry pie :( Great warm friendly atmosphere (which is good because it is cozy)

Cute and (very) little cafe. I brought my kids for brunch around 11am on a Tuesday. We were able to get a table as someone was leaving, but I could see getting a table during peak hours to be an issue. I would guess the whole dining room seats less than 20. That being said, this place was a total gem to stumble upon. The spicy tofu wrap was out of this world!! The waffle was also delicious. Service and attention to detail at a level all cafes should strive for.

Warm, cozy, welcoming environment. Nice prices for what you get. The waffle was hot and fresh! Loved the cinnamon sugar, chocolate syrup, and cream cheese frosting that went along with it. Bagel was good too! Toasted perfectly and was not stingy on the cream cheese! Nicely dimmed on the inside too which I enjoyed on the rainy morning it was. Definitely come out and support!

Delicious bagel and coffee shop. My friend and I ordered: •Migas Wrap (Delicious, the corn chips inside the wrap were super yummy) •B.A.T. Bagel (Absolutely delicious, they put a sauce on it that is to die for) •Kay Smoothie (So delicious and refreshing!) •Olsen Smoothie (So delicious, creamy and smooth) The decorations of this place were so fun to look at since they’re all based on someone named Mary. The servers are so nice! Please be patient when you come, since they are understaffed. If you want delicious food, this is the place to go to!

Perfectly delicious! Mary’s is an adorable little cafe with food big on flavor. Had the Local Toast and an oat milk latte. Yummm! Three others with me and we all had different times bagel & lox, avocado & bacon bagel sandwich and a migas wrap. We all enjoyed the breakfast and left full and happy! Will definitely be back!

I was hungover the other day after spending the night at someone’s house when I needed a pick me up before work. I came here hoping to come back to life and boy did it heal my woe’s. I had the Mary had a little lamb waffle which was stuffed with banana filling and had peanut butter on top which was delicious and filling. I didn’t know how filling it was so I ordered a side of Eggs etc and left the place stuffed and feeling way better. The eggs in my eyes were fried to perfection, the waffle itself was savory and satisfying and the staff for 7 something in the morning were cool and helpful. Lastly the atmosphere was great, a real Mary based cafe. If you work near bye or live around the area you have a hidden gem near ya since this place is delicious and reasonably priced. For a very filling breakfast I payed 15 (with tip). So overall this placed is reasonably priced, definitely not cheap but not expensive and great quality food. Highly recommend checking it out

Every time we come we are greeted and welcomed. The sandwiches are a great selection and it’s hard to choose. You can’t pick a wrong choice.

Food and drinks are good, servers are kind, I just have a little feedback though. Egg sandwiches are a pretty good deal even if on the small side. We appreciate that gluten free does not incur an up charge. The space is very small and they have done what they can with it and it is nice for what it is. However whenever I leave I feel I always smell like food even if I’m not there very long. Some ventilation or one or two air filters would probably take care of this. Also, last I checked, they only had disposable cups for drinks, and they aren’t compostable. If you bring your own cup they will make it in that though which is nice but I would appreciate if they had a zero waste option.

It’s expensive. Don’t believe the people who say otherwise. It’s not egregious For Austin, but it’s rough. Bright side isn’t the pleasant room, it’s the especially high food quality. Each item I had was prepared above my expectations. It’s like they understand and practice all the basics every time. You shouldn’t ever have a disappointing experience here. Well-made food. (I’ve been multiple times)

Stopped in while in the area. The staff were great and they have a good selection of breakfast and lunch. I had the chicken salad sandwich. It was good, but not the best I’ve had. I loved the bread they used though! I would go back and try the waffles.

Lack of flavor in the, “Iced Honey Lavender Mactha.” The egg and turkey slice in my croissant did not taste fresh. This place is better known for its waffles. I would recommend ordering that instead of other food options.

I love JJ and I order once a week but not sure I should continue to. The last 4x I have ordered a SPICY Italian sub they didn’t put hot peppers. I let it go the last 3x but last night I called to let them know since we ordered two spicy subs both missing peppers as well as additional toppings. After speaking to 3 different people I was asked in a rude tone “so really the only issue is no peppers?” Yes, the only issue is there are no peppers in my spicy sub....They also notoriously forget items like chips and cookies when I get it delivered and I don’t like to call and complain since it is only a couple bucks but it’s not something that should be looked over so much. Update March 2024: Ordered the beach club, Jimmy John's this is what I got tonight for an almost $9 sandwich....where is the turkey Jimmy? :(

I have been holding my tongue for a month now (4 visits to this location). the last 4 times in my sandwich order has been missing items that cost extra. total lack of care and attention to detail. I have tried to give them chances, but will be taking my business to other sandwich places moving forward.

First time having Jimmy John's and I was thoroughly not impressed it was filling but only from the bread barely any meat, maybe two pieces of turkey lettuce looked old. The people there were real short with me,borderline rude sandwich was dry and incredibly overpriced for what you get I'll try another location and see if it's better

I walked in and the music was at full blast. it was like walking into a bar on the weekend. After having to yell my order to the person after they finally noticed me standing at the register. At 8:35 the guy making my sandwich said it was ready and that he would be locking the doors in 15 minutes which is 10 minutes before the store says it closes. as I'm sitting here the music is still uncomfortably loud. I've had good experiences here before but definitely not this visit.I also revorded a smsll clipso yoi coulf hear hoe loud the music was,but for some reason the audio isn't playing.

Found a few hairs in my sandwich, do not go here it’s a health hazard! It also looks like the employees have their kids around, are watching shows, and vaping while working?

Edit to add: went in a couple weeks ago and overheard some of the employees talking about a former coworker bringing a gun to the store? What is happening at this location? Went in today, Sunday 10/12, and the woman who said she was the manager on shift was incredibly rude, insulting, and hostile for no reason upon entry. I left immediately. As I left she said “I never wanted this damn job anyway” Edit to say this is usually a great location with really nice employees

They messed up our order. Not toasted when asked for toasted. Charged for 2 extra sandwiches. Taste was not bad but food was just thrown there besides the piece of bread

Jimmy John's Fails Vegetarian Customer! I recently had a dismal encounter with Jimmy John's that left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. As a vegetarian, I rely on establishments to honor my dietary preferences, but unfortunately, Jimmy John's fell far short of even the most basic expectations. I ordered a veggie sandwich online, trusting that my request would be fulfilled accurately. However, upon reaching my destination and eagerly anticipating my meal, I discovered to my dismay that I had been given a turkey sandwich instead. This mistake was not a mere oversight; it was a blatant disregard for my dietary restriction and a complete failure on their part to deliver what was promised. Returning to the store to address the issue, I expected a sincere apology and a swift resolution. Instead, I was met with indifference and apathy. The staff's response was shockingly dismissive, asking me, "What do you want us to do about it?" Such callousness only added insult to injury, exacerbating the already poor customer experience. Moreover, it's essential to emphasize that this wasn't a minor error like forgetting an ingredient. They served me a sandwich containing meat, completely disregarding my vegetarianism. When I requested them to rectify the situation by preparing the sandwich I initially ordered, their response was shockingly unprofessional, telling me to "chill out." This entire ordeal speaks volumes about Jimmy John's lack of regard for their customers' needs and their cavalier attitude towards customer service. As someone who values businesses that prioritize customer satisfaction, I cannot in good conscience recommend Jimmy John's to anyone, especially those with dietary restrictions. My experience was not just disappointing; it was downright disrespectful.
