They must have an amazing GM here because all of the serving staff is amazing. Yes the food I delicious but the staff everytime I go is top notch. A+++++. We eat here like 2-3 times a month! This location is by far the best Serranos in central Texas!

Exceptional Food, Outstanding Service, and a Manager Who Truly Sets the Standard I had an absolutely fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared — everything you’d hope for in a great Mexican meal. From the appetizers to the main courses, each dish was clearly made with care and attention to detail. The atmosphere was vibrant yet comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. But what truly made this visit stand out was the exceptional service, particularly from Stephan, the manager. In all my dining experiences, I’ve never encountered someone so genuinely attentive, personable, and passionate about hospitality. Stephan went out of his way to make sure every guest felt welcome and well taken care of — not just at our table, but at every table around us. He brings a level of energy and professionalism that you rarely see, and it’s clear he leads by example. It’s not often you leave a restaurant raving about both the meal and the management, but this was one of those rare occasions. Stephan is a true asset to the restaurant — warm, engaging, and effortlessly good at what he does. His presence elevated the entire experience. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be returning — and bringing friends.

Booked a retirement party for my mom here and everything went wonderfully it was a surprise party, and the manager was very attentive to us as well as the two staff members he had helping with the party the food was delicious and came out timely. Any concerns we had were met with enthusiasm highly recommend having your party here

I found my new favorite restaurant! Our server (James) was outstanding, the food was fabulous and the chips & salsa was so good the 6 of us each ate a basket of chips and had several refills on salsa! The Enchiladas were so flavorful with the fire roasted Verde sauce.....highly recommend!

This Serranos has been a favorite of our family for many years and is arguably the best Mexican restaurant we've ever been to. The salsa is very fresh and exceptionally flavorful. Every dish we've had has been consistently excellent from the appetizers to the main courses, but the Pollo Perfecto is definitely a standout. Highly recommended and hope to keep coming back for many years to come.

Stephan runs a fanatic ship service and experience wise. I’m not sure the quality of the food is in question, it’s good but it’s not great. I don’t think it’s due to lack of care but maybe food cost budgets or ticket time targets that are maybe a bit fast? Weird to complain about quick ticket times but for instance my fajita’s sautéed onions and peppers weren’t really that sautéed. They didn’t caramelize… there was was no char on them….

I ordered the mixed fajita for 2 - it is delicious every time! My only gripe is that curbside fee. Given a recent promotion where you can get 15% off if you order curbside, you are still charged a curbside fee. The total was around $55, took off $7 with the promotion, but still charged a $3 fee. This makes zero sense! Otherwise, great food.

I love Serranos. They have broad menu variety without being overwhelming. Their food is always above par. I love their chunky salsa! Today my server was a bit slow on the initial take and impersonal. I sat for quite a bit before he brought chips and took my drink order. He didn’t have much to say - just write down what I said and went on. Today I got a half order of the shrimp nachos. It was just the right size for one. Sort of difficult to eat but after tearing it into pieces, it was yummy.

Classic TexMex Serrano's has been in Austin for many years. It provides solid food at reasonable prices. Restaurant atmosphere is what you'd expect for a chain tex-mex restaurant. Fairly comfortable and colorful. I had the Chimichanga with chipotle creamy sauce. The chicken had a nice flavor with the sauce giving it a nice rich compliment. I wasn't too excited about the rice content, but it was ok. All around a pretty solid meal. Additional note: The restaurant has a nice bar area with TV monitors for those who like a drink.

Visiting Austin in a weekend break! We came for Lunch and ordered the parrillada mixta! The beef and chicken fajitas were savory, soft and well done! Beef fajitas tend to dry out but not these ones!!! Delicious!! The homemade corn tortillas were delicious too! Soft , warm and filling! The rice was ok, the frijoles borrachos were ok too. The salsa was spicy but good! The chips were not authentic enough but we ate them! The service was quick & the place looked clean. Price is moderate.

Regarding the restaurant in sunset valley...food's okay but not worth the frustrations in dealing with waiters who need training in how to earn a tip, and the management knows it...so be patient.

Easy access, adequate parking, seated immediately, helpful staff, large selection, reasonable prices, good flavor, cood quality food, good portions, drink prices are a little too high.

The server, James, was great, but the food was terrible! Bland, and soggy, and the fajita meat had more fat than meat. If I could give zero stars for this place, I would. It bothered my stomach, along with the entire family. I do not recommend this place at all. Don’t come here. I thought since it had good reviews that it’d at least be decent, but it was awful. For the price I paid, $149, I would expect better food. Again, the server, James, was amazing and kind—in no way is my review over the service he provided for me and my family. Simply just the food and atmosphere.
