Authentic Thai flavors and a warm, inviting vibe — Sip Saam Thai is a gem in Austin! This has been one of my favorite Thai spots since day one. Their Green Apple Pompano is a must-try — the whole fish is fried to perfection and topped with tangy green apple, red onion, tomatoes, cashews, and a refreshing lime dressing. Flavorful, fresh, and absolutely satisfying. We also ordered: Yellow curry with mixed seafood — rich, comforting, and perfectly spiced Pineapple fried rice with mixed meat — sweet, savory, and so good Mango sticky rice and fried banana with coconut + sesame for dessert — both were phenomenal The quality, flavor, and presentation are consistently top-notch. Whether you're dining in or ordering out, Sip Saam never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious!! The tum kha soup was amazing!! Pad see ew was perfect. The atmosphere was ok until be placed next to the kitchen the smoke came our way and we couldn't stop coughing. Service was good.

Found this place based on someone's review, and I was not disappointed. We were seated immediately we walked through the door. The meals came out fast, and it was served fresh and hot. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good Thai restaurant. We ordered from the stir-fry menu, the vegetables were not overcooked with a generous portion of protein which is ideal for one person.

We recently dined at Sip Saam Thai and tried several dishes: Vegetable Gyoza, Chicken Green Curry, Seafood Pad Cha, Egg Noodles, and Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. The Vegetable Gyoza was the standout appetizer. These crispy, fried dumplings were filled with a flavorful vegetable mix, and the texture was spot on — crunchy on the outside, soft and well-seasoned inside. We thoroughly enjoyed them. The Chicken Green Curry came with sticky rice and was ordered at a medium spice level (5/10). It had a creamy coconut milk base, a mix of vegetables, and a decent portion of thinly sliced boneless chicken breast. The flavor was decent, though not exceptional. The Seafood Pad Cha was average — neither great nor terrible. It didn’t leave a strong impression and probably isn’t something we’d return for. The Egg Noodles, unfortunately, didn’t meet our expectations. We’ve had better versions of this dish elsewhere in the area. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Mango Sticky Rice. Perfectly ripe mango paired with sweet sticky rice made for a delightful ending to the meal. We would absolutely go back just for this dessert. Overall, the dining experience was good. The service was excellent — quick, attentive, and friendly. While not everything wowed us, the warm hospitality and a couple of standout dishes made the visit worthwhile.

Food:4/5 I loved their papaya salad and ginger tea a lot. Especially that flavorful lime in papaya salad. I have been craving for papaya salad since then. Green curry was okay… portion was good for the price. Service: 5/5 the fastest service that I ever had. Server was friendly and smiley. Atmosphere : 5/5 enough space to dine for lot of people. Parking :5/5 free and plenty Note: their sake was good and I though the price was reasonable compare to others restaurant. 375 ml = $15.

This is a solid Thai Restaurant. The plating of the food is eye catching. The flavor is good. Portion size for what you pay are generous. Reasonably priced. Location is not hard to access. Service could be better. Sometimes the mango sticky rice is not available. Overall a great place to come. One of our favorite regular places to eat.

it's decent thai food and authentic flavor, the service is ok. we were seated close to the kitchen, there's strong kitchen exhaust throughout the whole time of dining. the service was a bit slow, hard to get their attention to order or get anything. chicken wing app didnt wow me, but the lamb shank curry is pretty good flavor and good to go with rice. the sizzling short ribs is enjoyable. tender juicy.

Well, we made advance reservations & drove 30+ minutes to this restaurant with high expectations. Reviews are very high, so we expected a nice lunch with our bunch of friends. We just tried 1 Appetizer to start with, but were disappointed. So we ordered the main course. It arrived in less than 5 minutes, which was really surprising. 2 portions of Pad Ki Mao were cold !!! This is not acceptable. Even then, we took couple of bites & it had no taste. It was very dry. We finally had to call the server & complaint about it. They just replaced 1 Pad ki Mao & brought a new one which was Hot, but still no taste. Normally, I would doubt myself if it was a new dish I am trying. But Pad Ki Mao is our family’s preferred dish & we just didn’t like it here. Green & Red curries were good, just like most other good Thai restaurants. Nothing spectacular though. Thai Fried Rice we ordered was okay too. Finally, we wanted their special dessert, but they ran out of it. May be it was just not our day. We will look for a different Thai place next time .

I had great hopes, sadly kind of let down. Not value for money. Food is pretty good but the bill came to $30 which is basically fine dining for something that obviously isn't. All I had was a $7 iced tea (not even alcoholic to jack up the price) and a pad Thai. Not even dessert. Iced tea would reasonably be $5. Food is good but very sugary. I know Thai cuisine incorporates a lot of sugar but you can really taste the sugar on your lips from the pad thai sauce. I've never experienced that before from previous pad thais I've eaten. Decor is basic but pleasing. Unfortunately you will get blinded often by headlights from cars pulling in at night. Service is very focused on getting you out of the restaurant. I came at a relatively peaceful time with many empty tables and even ordered quickly. I did not appreciate being disturbed in the middle of my meal with the bill and if I wanted the rest to go. I wasn't taking that long either. I don't understand this kind of service, what if I had wanted dessert? Would they rather I just leave their quarter-empty restaurant? Another sign they are understaffed. Oyster sauce is in everything so something to note if you are vegetarian or kosher or have other dietary restrictions like that.

Ordered fried rice and pad thai and found bug in food. This is serious risk that they dont follow safety practices. Also I ordered food this food through Uber Eats and their customer service was bad and multiple requests has to be done to refund the amount.

I’ve been ordering takeout here for several years and always enjoyed their food, so I decided to dine in recently. The food was, as always, very good — flavorful, well-prepared, and fresh. However, the experience was seriously dampened by the service. While the server was attentive and friendly to some tables, our table did not receive the same treatment. She was noticeably rude when taking our order and didn’t even offer us a to-go box at the end of the meal. We also had to wait quite a while to place our order and for any check-ins, even though other guests who arrived after us were served promptly. It’s disappointing because the food quality really deserves better service. After this experience, I’ve decided not to return or order from a restaurant that treats guests with such disregard. There are many other places that value their customers and show it through their hospitality.

I’ve been enjoying Thai food for years and have been introduced to a wide range of authentic dishes by close Asian friends. So when I saw a dish called Kra Pow On Fire listed on this restaurant’s Google menu, I was genuinely excited to try it. I tried calling several times to place the order, but no one picked up. I then ordered online, where I only found a similar-sounding dish called Pad Kra Pow. I’ve had Pad Kra Pow many times before — it usually comes with ground meat, herbs, rice, and a fried egg. I assumed Kra Pow On Fire was just a spicier variation of this, renamed on their online system. What arrived was completely different — chunks of meat, no egg, and clearly not what I had in mind. When I called to explain the issue, I was shocked by how rude the staff were. Rather than listening or acknowledging the confusion (caused in part by their own menu setup), they immediately placed the blame on me and claimed that “all their customers know the difference.” That kind of attitude is completely unacceptable — especially considering I spent over $60 on this order. Restaurants should take responsibility when there’s a clear miscommunication stemming from their own system, not belittle the customer for it. For $60, I expected better food and basic respect. There are plenty of Thai spots that serve great food with great service. This one is neither. Save your money.
