Awesome musical taste indoors, excellent and tastefully decor merch and beyond good food. Pricey, but do you really want to skip out on taste and quality. For thebdkill of thebgrillmasfera alone you shoukd be paying Black's or Stiles level of prices but you dont. Banana Pudding, great, mac n cheese? Dude get it every time in in here with no matter what I try next, it's that good lol.

This Texas BBQ spot absolutely nails it if you’re into serious sandwiches and good beer. I had their pork rib meat sandwich, and it was outstanding. Deep smoky flavor, tender rib meat pulled perfectly, and stacked in a way that didn’t fall apart halfway through eating it always a good sign. You can tell they respect the meat and don’t drown it to hide mistakes. We also tried their take on a cabin sandwich, and it held its own. Different vibe, same execution: balanced, rich, and satisfying without being sloppy or overdone. Both sandwiches were genuinely delicious. Pair that with a solid beer selection and a laid-back Texas BBQ atmosphere, and it’s an easy recommendation. I’ll be back. No question.

Slab has really good customer service. We were not able to make it into the store of but we ordered online. Patrick answered the phone. I was able to accommodate us last minute. Very grateful and looking forward to the pork ribs there. Also, you have to taste the potato salad if you order from this place.. Thanks, Patrick

This place is delicious! I love coming here to share a giant plate of nachos. The portion sizes are huge, but so good. We can feed 2 adults with drinks for $30. Today I knocked over a cup of bbq sauce and I didn't even have a chance to place a napkin on it when a guy came out of absolutely no where telling us very nicely to not worry and he cleaned it up. He then fixed the wobbly table and checked on us and others during our meal.

Dopest bbq in Central Texas hands down. The godfather is my go to, but you can’t go wrong with the nachos. They are my go-to for when friends and family come into town and now order catering for professional functions when I want to look like a hero. Awesome staff, great beer selection, good food… not sure how this place can get any better.

Amazing restaurant for delicious barbecue! The place is just the right size, with a great menu and fantastic food. The service was even better, super polite and friendly. We tried a variety of dishes and everything was super tasty . At the end, the staff surprised us with a traditional banana pudding, saying ‘you can’t come to Texas and not try our banana pudding and it was amazing! Excellent service and a wonderful experience. Thank you!

I was in Austin earlier this week with my nephew and we were visiting my brother who has lived in Austin for ~10 years. We were looking for a place for a late lunch after spending the morning at the range and my brother recommended this place. There were very few people inside and we were able to order right away. My nephew and I had the Chicken NWA sandwich and my brother got the ribs. We also shared an order of chicken nachos. My sandwich was very good - it wasn't pulled chicken, which I love but the chicken pieces/chunks were very tender and all the ingredients tasted fresh. My brother LOVES the ribs there and said that for him, Slab has the best ribs in Austin. I don't eat beef or pork so I can't attest to how good they are but I trust my brother's opinion so if he says they're the best, I would bet that they are. The nachos had lots of chicken on them and were very good. If I could make suggestions for them I would say to put more shredded cheese on them and leave them in the oven/broiler a bit longer so the chips get more browned (the chips had lots of queso on them and maybe a small amount of grated cheese but I think more grated cheese would make this appetizer even better). Oh, and offer guacamole to put on them. Very friendly service, the food was served quickly and everything was delicious. It's a dark interior, but I reckon that's good if you're gonna have bbq sauce all over your face and you don't want folks to see you in that condition. Oh, and the men's room is clean.

here is what you need to know before coming here The way the class pass app works is you need to choose a time and your points and then either call ahead or already be there and let them know the order and then classpass will bill your points but then they will bill ClassPass and then put in the order From there's plenty of dining room in the inside even though it doesn't look like it from the outside shared parking by emerald tavern so keep that in mind with plenty of drink options at the bar they have four different amazing homemade sauces to choose from and a variety of options with the happy hour being something unique to class pass to give you a discount on that Pacific item for that portion size regardless of the time which gives you an even better discount compared to the normal pricing of some of their other items with a variety of options I got the bowl with brisket and then it's the barbecue bogey bowl which was absolutely delicious and then I got for my mom the mac and cheese with brisket which came out magnificently and goes great with their gold rush mustard sauce with plenty of napkins at each table then send women's restrooms and a friendly staff and some unique music that they plan to background giving it a nice ambience while you see sports on the TV screens and even enjoys super Pac-Man in the corner old school style makes this place a unique stop to come by highly recommend it

Seeing that I live in the north part of Austin when I come down to the highland Anderson area. I definitely love stopping at slabs. When I'm super hungry their portion sizes can fill you up no problem. Today me and the Mrs. Were medium hungry. If so, we decided to split some nachos with extra meat and the $2 extra charge for premium brisket. I also chose to get some banana pudding cuz I love the cookie that comes with it and it is delicious. This location, one of two remaining. The other being in the Brody Lane area. If you like pure sugar sodas you'll enjoy the sugar cane brand soda fountain. There is also, bottled Mexican sodas. There is also a bar with multiple drafts on tap as shown in my pictures. I did notice half price rib night is on Thursdays as well as some very cool merchandise and barbecue sauce around the front entrance area. There is definitely some really cool original art throughout the establishment. Plenty of space for at least 60 people and they offer discounts for military and veterans. If you get a chance to stop by slabs, you won't regret it

The food is always delicious, I have never been disappointed at either of their locations. I had the Texas O.G. with sliced brisket. I normally get the chopped brisket but thankfully decided to try it sliced this time. The brisket is really good, mixed with the red sauce and Cheddar jalapeño bun, pretty amazing. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my sandwich before digging in, but I did take a picture of my Live Oak Hefenweizen 🤪

My husband and I had to try this restaurant while we were visiting Austin over the weekend. We saw this restaurant on Diners, drive-in’s and Dives. The bbq was on point and tender, we ordered the brisket sandwiches Mac n cheese , slaw and the banana pudding. Everything was amazing and so delicious, I wish they had a location in Houston!

Delicious barbecue! I really liked the nachos - the pulled pork nachos were really good. The cheese, pickled jalapeños and onions, were a great combination.The ribs were only a little smoky, so I could understand the critical reviews, but the meat fell right off the bone and was nicely trimmed 🍖 I highly recommend the Mac and cheese!it was so cheesy and even had a slightly smoky flavor 😋 Their original sauces are unlimited and very tasty. They deserve an award on their own. Sweet and spicy 🔥 Not as expensive as downtown Austin and never has a wait! If you're looking for BBQ that's off the beaten track, I'd give it a try.

Great BBQ for the price! Friendly staff and passionate about BBQ. First time dining at Slab BBQ. Ordered the B.C.B.C sandwich. The smoked chicken was flavorful and succulent, while the brisket was tender and flavorful. I enjoyed the strawberry habanero sauce flavor. Though I feel it was a little on the tame side 😉 they have an assortment of unique sodas on the fountain. Highly recommend 👌 the ribs looked really delicious, fork tender!

Great BBQ and sauce that’s actually spicy. Pricing is a little high, but that’s my only complaint. This place was shockingly kid friendly. Will definitely come back here again with my kiddos since we had such a good experience. Kids meals are only four bucks and they have delicious mac & cheese, and mild queso. Also best banana pudding I’ve ever had in my life.

I had the brisket nachos and my husband a pull pork sandwhich and the food was good. I would have liked my nachos to have a little seasoning but other than that it was great. Wonderful service!!!

SLAB is cool, it's got a laid back, chill atmosphere that allows people to just hang out, watch a football game, and enjoy their food. I went with my family and we had a nice time. I got the Notorious P.I.G. with the sauce. And it's by a tavern and a bowling alley, so there's stuff to do after.

Overall enjoyed myself, no serious complaints. I rarely drink soda but they have a bunch of fun flavors to pick from. Just definitely on the pricier side for something that didn't do anything special when there's fairly steep competition. A sincere but muted hearted yee to the haw here.

Disappointed with my first visit to this location. It really annoys me to have regret for not making sure everything I ordered is in the bag. I just assume it can’t be that hard to get an order for one person correct, that’s what I get for assuming I guess. The staff were friendly from the 2 I interacted with but that’s not the only thing that matters. I came in for food, I ordered food, I need to get what I ordered and paid for without double checking their work. Aside from the experience at this location, Slab is good food.

Had the Das Brisket and the Regular B.C.B. at Slap. The food was very average, nothing memorable about it. The location itself was also quite ordinary, nothing particularly special about the ambiance. The staff were fine, just doing their job, but there wasn’t any standout service or personality. Overall, if you’re looking for a basic meal without any extras, this place might work, but don’t expect much beyond that.

The food was good but not great. Would go back for a decent meat sandwich. The atmosphere seemed like this place was cool at one time but then kinda stopped trying. Needs a bit of an energy boost. Service was good. Food came out quick and the people were nice and friendly. If you’re looking for a good BBQ meat sandwich I’d check it out. If you’re looking for good BBQ I’d probably skip it.

This place has potential but unfortunately the food is cold, not fresh. If you do a sandwich maybe it's okay. But if you do single plated items, you're in for disappointment. It just taste reheated. The workers were very nice tho.
