KAWTHAR IS AMAZING WE LOVE HER. Best service EVER!!!!! Food is amazing, all recommendations from her, we had the best time. Thank you also to the hostesses shout out Leigh (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) so so kind and amazing ❤️❤️
I popped into Guest House after hearing about it through friends. The quality of food is really incredible and I left extremely satiated. I personally really enjoyed the music, very Tulum/Ibiza feel. Not sure if it’s for everyone, but the food certainly is. If you don’t get anything else, be sure to get the tuna caviar cones and the espresso martini. Phenomenal. The steak was fantastic as well. Maria was amazing too, I briefly mentioned how I was celebrating a work win, and I got a congratulatory dessert. So sweet. I’ll definitely be back again.
I had a dinner date here after reading some good reviews online. It was a busy Friday night, so definitely make a reservation if you plan to come. We arrived about 10 minutes early, and even though our table was ready, they asked us to wait until our reservation time. The hamachi crudo was amazing — such a good starter! We tried the chicken pesto next; it was tasty but not super special, maybe we’ll try something else next time. The potato fries were huge and made us too full for dessert. Service was excellent overall. Thank you!
Come here for a nice dinner! We made reservations ahead of time which was helpful. The service was tentative and even gave recommendations. The atmosphere as intimate and lively as others were having dinner. The food did not disappoint. This place is good for a date night too. I would come back!
My food and service was an 100 out of 10!! So beautifully tasty. I had the scallop ceviche and rigatoni. Amazing! But service by Vaden made my experience over the top. She was super friendly, gave terrific recommendations and made my experience memorable. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in Austin.
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food. We went for a team dinner and booked the private room. Service was on point and the food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We had several shareable plates and 3 courses. The drinks were also on point and everyone raved about the food. I would love to go back and try their regular menu.
I recently had my birthday dinner here with my best friends. Mike was attentive and knowledgeable and made wonderful recommendations. The sommelier also recommended the most amazing French wine. The food was excellent and the presentation was even better! Loved the atmosphere! I recommend dinning early if you want a quieter dinner. The Guest House was definitely a fun and adventurous dining experience. We're already planning bringing friends for our next visit!
My husband and I had the most wonderful experience at TGH! From the moment we walked in everyone was so kind and welcoming. Amanda, our server, walked us through the menu and had great suggestions. We had the NY strip, wagyu pastrami, Mac and cheese, and the s’mores dessert. When I mentioned to Amanda that I had been searching for the EXACT glassware that our drinks had been served in she worked her magic and made some available for purchase to us. It is rare that you find that level of amazing hospitality!
I have enjoyed every experience I've had at Guest House to date. The food is good, but the vibes are immaculate. They did a fantastic job with the classy decor, perfect lighting and the way they have a DJ at brunch and at night really sets a lively and engaging atmosphere. The waitstaff have always been very attentive and thorough. It was not hard to get a brunch reservation - and it should have been with such great energy. You should come check this place out!
The communication with The Guesthouse was fantastic from start to finish! After booking online, they reached out the afternoon of my reservation to confirm, then texted again 15 minutes before to let me know our table was ready — super thoughtful touch. The hostess was friendly and seated us right away. We started with drinks and the bread I’d read so much about — and wow, it lived up to the hype! It truly melts in your mouth. My espresso martini was to die for — thick, creamy foam with just a hint of cinnamon that made every sip feel like an explosion of flavors. My dinner partner didn’t love her drink, but the staff handled it perfectly and swapped it out without hesitation. For dinner, we both ordered pasta — she had the bucatini and I went for the spicy rigatoni. Both were excellent, but the bucatini had such amazing flavor that I’m already planning to order it next time. Our neighboring table had some of the wild “fantasy cocktails,” which they kindly let me photograph — they’re gorgeous and super fun, though definitely a splurge at $60 each! Dessert was an absolute highlight. I’m a lemon lover, so the lemon cheesecake was perfection — tangy, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet. My friend ordered the sundae, which arrived like a whole campfire scene with toasted marshmallows, brownie bites, ice cream, and chocolate syrup. Cute, creative, and delicious! The ambiance ties it all together — soft lighting, a DJ spinning great music, and an overall fun, upscale vibe. I’d definitely recommend The Guesthouse and will be back next time I’m in Austin!
Had a chance to take some clients out for a post work dinner and chose The Guest House Austin. Been to the Las Vegas location, which was nice, but this one, just wow! Wednesday night, 6:15pm reservation, already pretty full. Chill music playing. By the time we were finishing our appetizers, they had an in-house DJ spinning some fantastic songs that picked up the vibe perfectly! Get seated, order some appetizers, table is constantly being touched by our servers, Amanda (who was amazing and I highly recommend requesting her if you book a reservation) and the team who made sure drinks were never empty, dishes were constantly swapped out as well as silverware. Truly an elevated experience. Amanda did a wonderful job engaging the table, took all of our orders by memory, which is risky but she did not make a single mistake. I asked her about it and she said it allowed her to stay engaged with the guests. Top notch! Everything she recommended was exactly as she described. It's not often you get a meal where every single thing from the bread (almost criminal to call that bread because it was so delicious) to the appetizers (Steak Tartare, Spicy Rigatoni, Beets, Apple & Endive Salad) to the entrees (Rosewood, Cacio e Pepe w/ house made noodles, Short Rib, Veal Parm, Whipped Potatoes, Broccolini) to the drinks (too many to name but we did get one of their Theatrical drinks) and the desserts (Lemon Swirl Cheesecake, S'mores, and Ice Cream Sandwich). I don't drink and I had mentioned it once at the beginning of our experience to Amanda so when we got a round of champagne to toast, she brought me a non-alcoholic, and with the Theatrical drink, she made sure I wasn't left out and brought me a non-alcoholic serving of Mango Margarita).
By far. The. Best. Social. Dining. Experience. Liked the close tables and all around vibe. Amazing meal to include beets, tartare, steaks done perfectly per medium rare request. And that bread. Deserves its own sentence! All staff were friendly, made eye contact and smiled versus the “normal” aire of pretentiousness at many fine dining restaurants. I especially appreciated the hospitality (and overall kind human nature) of all staff including hostess, server (Mikiela was lovely), bartender, sommelier and food runners. I cannot say enough positive things about our night. Will go down in history as such a beautiful night. Would definitely come back and/or go to Vegas location. We dropped a lot of money on this dining experience, and it was totally worth it. Loved the music/DJ and rose gold ambience, too. Wish I could do it all again. Thank you for everything!
The Guest House feels like New York decided to crash Austin’s party. I got Manhattan when I walked in. It’s glamorous and dripping in chandelier sparkle. This was night cap! I came for drinks and fries! Simple enough but they gave me a special aioli so my fries felt fancy. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were talkative and interesting! Loved!
We had dinner at The Guest House yesterday as a group of three, and it was absolutely fantastic! The service was outstanding — Nick took amazing care of us the entire time. He was super attentive, friendly, and his recommendations were spot-on 🔥 Every dish he suggested was delicious, beautifully presented, and came out just right. The atmosphere was warm and stylish, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed evening. You can really feel that the team here loves what they do. Huge thanks to Nick and the whole team — we’ll definitely be coming back!
We always have an amazing time when we go. Food is delicious, the Tea Party drink is also delicious and the service is amazing! The bread is out of this world! I always order the Rigatoni as a side to share with my husband, but this time I had it as my main course, I added some shrimp and it was delicious. The Hamachi Crudo is definitely a must, any of the Butcher's Best is a great option, the Wagyu Burger is delicious, the Sweet Corn Pudding, Parmesean Truffle fries, are also delicious. Everything is amazing, the place is so romantic and chic. I recommend 100%.
Stopped by The Guesthouse in Austin and had the best experience! The vibe was already great, but what really made it stand out was the service. Our bartender/server Mike was seriously the sweetest, super attentive, friendly, and just made the whole night feel fun and easy. Drinks were on point, and he made great recommendations. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a good time. Definitely one of those people who makes a place even better. Can’t wait to come back!
The guest house has such a fun atmosphere and vibe and the food was really good! I made a reservation for 7pm on a Friday night and got seated within a few minutes. It definitely has a girl dinner vibe, every one was dressed super cute and looking around a lot of the tables were just girls having a great time. I had never seen that before and it was nice. There were of course couples and other groups there as well. The music was so fun too, the DJ brought the Afro beats/Tulum vibes to the restaurant. Drinks were fun and the Food was also extremely yummy. The bread they bring out at the beginning is hands down the best starter bread I’ve had. It’s a croissant bread and it just melts in your mouth.
This establishment was truly remarkable. I was thoroughly delighted by the exquisite flavor of the food. The salad selection was particularly enjoyable. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and the wine selection was impressive. I highly recommend making a reservation. It was a wonderful celebration, enhanced by the fantastic service, delightful drinks, and delectable food. This has become my new favorite place.
Great ambiance, a bit hard to hear, but perfect for parties. Good service as well :) definitely get to your reservation on time and with all guests, they don't allow you to wait for one

The food here is absolutely delicious!! The best bread I’ve ever had and I’m not even a big bread person. Loved the atmosphere too. A must when in Austin.

Had a great overall experience, the setting was very romantic and cozy. Servers / hosts and staff were very friendly with the service and willingness to help you make a choice. Food and drinks are pricy but well worth the overall experience.
I planned a group event for brunch and it wasn't a pleasant process. Only because of Edward and Kawthar things turned around and I would consider coming back to Guesthouse. Edward ensured everything went smoothly and his communication skills are excellent! Kawthar consistently checked on our table and offered us some great recommendations and paid attention to detail. They both made all the difference for our experience. Nice atmosphere, great food. Highly recommend the banana bread for a brunch appetizer and truffle fries for a side!
My friend and I have been wanting to try The Guesthouse for a while and we went this past weekend during the rally’s and Formula 1 so it was quite busy. We had a resy at 5pm and were seated promptly. Shelby was our waitress and she was fantastic. The service was friendly and professional and the ambiance had cool vibes. The interior is elegant and intimate with tables very close to each other which gives it that social vibe. The patrons that night were more of a younger vibe (late 20’s - early 30’s) dressed nicely and some out of towners (they actually came in with full luggage). My friend and I are in our 50’s but didn’t feel too ‘old.’ We ordered the Crabcake (5 stars), Caesar salad (5 stars), Raw Oysters (4 stars) and Shrimp Cocktail (3.5 stars). The food is generally presented nicely or you can go with some ‘theatrical’ presentation options. The taste was not worth the high price but good to experience just once. The drinks were delicious as I had 2 margaritas and an espresso martini that was perfect to my taste. Service is impeccable thanks to Shelby but for me just a place to try once.
Bit of a strange experience here where the food is so much better than both the atmosphere and service. I appreciated the bread service with a very creative brioche. Intense richness, beautiful presentation and it was a great way to start the meal. I had the roasted beet salad and it was one of the best uses of beets I've seen. Hamachi Crudo was excellent as well with a my only criticism being the thickness of the slices. There were cut a little large and uneven. The garnish of a raw jalapeno was a little weird. Service was the area that was most lacking. One of our friends did not have their food come out with everyone else's, there was a strange lag of about 4 or 5 minutes. Additionally, there was somehow confusion about where a plate should go from the back waiters that brought thing out. This kind of stuff is okay at Chili's but not a location that is considering itself fine dning. Very young crew in early 20s without a whole lot of sense of how to do things in fine dining. Tabletop was weird with kind of a placemat like thing on top of a wood table top. It was just a mismatch on the atmosphere of being fine dining and candle lit (led). Our average check was about $72 a person without any alcohol.
We had a reservation on a Friday evening but still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. The music was also extremely loud, making conversation difficult. The only good things were our server, who was professional and friendly, and the food—which was good. The tuna cones were amazing!
I booked a table here for my birthday dinner on a Tuesday evening and was impressed by how smoothly everything flowed—we were seated immediately upon arrival. The atmosphere was vibrant and stylish, with a DJ adding to the lively, upscale energy. The food was solid overall: the Parmesan filet was the highlight—perfectly cooked and richly flavored, an easy 8.5/10. The spicy rigatoni was good but didn’t quite wow me (7/10), and the chicken was flavorful and well-executed (8/10). I wouldn’t recommend the GH chopped salad; some of the toppings were overly tough and distracted from the experience. A sweet surprise came at the end when they brought out a cookie ice cream sandwich for my birthday—a thoughtful gesture that made the evening feel extra special. Overall, it’s a chic spot with a great vibe, ideal for celebrating a special occasion.

First time here, and not sure we’ll be back. First the pros: excellent service—albeit all the servers are scantily clad in black, if that’s your thing—like a classy Hooters. Their brioche bread …
It's a shame to give this a 3/5 because I liked the food. My expectation for a brunch is to be so full, to the point where I would consider skipping dinner. Even though I was down 2000 calories from running the Austin Marathon, I managed to drink 3 mocktails and eat 2 entrees (minus the fries). Maybe the establishment's expectation is to order appetizers, but I don't think that's heavy enough to be a brunch. The first entree that I ate was the Wagyu F.O. Burger, which was really juicy and not too oily. I think the onions were over powered by the other ingredients of the burger, but I still liked the overall flavor. As stated before, the burger is a bit too small and felt like a big slider. I was a fan of the truffle levels in the fries, but I really wanted more from the burger. There was a lot more going around in my second entree, which was the Short Rib Hash. I could taste the peppers, onions, and the salsa, but I think the overall dish was a little too salty. I did enjoy this more than the burger because it was bigger than the burger, so that's not saying much. On a side note, there was an issue with my table (which had a circular bottom). I am a relatively small person with a healthy BMI, and even though I lost 5+ pounds from running the Austin Marathon, my table kept wobbling every time I put my feet on them. My plates and drinks would suddenly slide towards me, and I constantly feared them falling on top of me. I can only imagine would could've happen with a person that's 20+ pounds heavier than me. The best part of my experience was the service. Kawthar was a phenomenal server; she was always checking up on how well I was enjoying my food and was incredibly patient with my inquires in regards to the menu. I really wanted to give this review a higher rating because I could see the vision of the food and I enjoyed the service, but I can't ignore the remarks I have with this establishment. I really suggest giving bigger portions because the size of one entree is not enough to be considered a brunch. Perhaps dinner would be a different story, but the latest reviews in regards to pricing and portions seem to align with my complaints.
