I strongly endorse this venue for those who enjoy exploring emerging local and touring heavy metal bands. The food and beverages are excellent and affordably priced. The staff, including bartenders and management, are warm and inviting. It's a fantastic location in East Austin.

The last one star review was left by someone who came out on the busiest night this place has ever seen, they were overwhelmed, I’ve been coming here for years and the bartenders here are the fastest in town even on busy nights. I came here for the first time new in town and not knowing anyone, they welcomed me with open arms and I made so many life long friends here. It’s the best place to see a show, but even when there’s no show it’s the best place to come and have a drink, listen to great music and enjoy the funky atmosphere. The owner is a wonderful person who has done the most to keep live music alive and accessible to people on a budget. The staff are the salt of the earth and are the hardest working people in town. As long as you are polite, friendly and respectful (which is how you should behave in any bar you go to) you will have a wonderful time and have excellent service. I’ve never felt safer in any other bar. It’s a treasure and a second home to me and many others. This bar and the local bands who play here are deserving of your support. If you want classic weird Austin, this the place to go.

Great metal dive bar. 6th street was a bunch of, for lack of a better term, frat/sorority tourist. Brought my daughter to this dive and disappointed no band tonight but the dj has some great metal playing hard. Did not try the food truck but will be back here some time and will update when I do. The bartender is amazing tonight as well. Super friendly and welcoming. If you like a true dive with metal you will love this place

The food truck outside is always great but the venue itself it’s probably the last bastion of whatever remains of the metal scene in Austin. It’s small, nothing fancy but the drinks are well served and the atmosphere is unique. Marcello is the man. Love this place

This place is great! The bartenders were very kind, the crowd was having a blast, and there’s plenty of room to sit and visit both inside and outdoors. Wailin’ Storms was playing that night, the lighting and sound was perfect (check out the band cause they are REAL awesome). It was clean, no fights took place, just things running smoothly to create such a great vibe.. As for parking, you can park along the road- there’s no meters or tow signs. Excellent experience. Thank you so very much The Lost Well crew for the teamwork to keep this great venue going for us to enjoy.

Lovely coffee shop with friendly staff and tasty, well roasted and crafted coffee drinks. Great spot to take a breather and relax. Edit: this was meant for Fleets lol, but I'm sure The Lost Well is also excellent <3

Love dive bars? Love drinking? Love music (especially live Punk and Metal) ? Can't stand 6th Street? Well, then this is the place to be! Get the feel of old Austin underground around friendly folks at this place. Plus , you grab tacos and hang outside with your dog(s) in the cozy outside area!

I love the convenience of the drive-thru. Ordering ahead via the app is great. I only wish that they would pay attention to the request to "slice pizza into squares." I started paying cash and check to see if this is done. I'll start tipping again at the window when it is. App deals are good, and food tastes great. Friendly staff.

The pizza was really good! They were slow, and passed the time my order should be ready. Then one pizza was ready, but they forgot the other one, so I had to wait.... No discount and no apologies. I was disappointed.

UPDATE: FINALLY got a one-topping stuffed crust replacement but not before a bizarre, frustrating amount of phone calls to the experience people that emailed me to tell me I had $30 I could use on my "account" (non-existent) to use with the store. They said to check out with them and they'd know what I was talking about. Apparently, someone used my phone number to order themselves a pan pizza, and I guess convinced them they were me? I never ordered or received anything besides the wrong pizza a couple weeks ago and (thankfully) the free stuffed crust today. It would have been better to just refund $30 to my credit card. Less hassle. BUT they ultimately did the right thing, so review has been updated. Ordered a stuffed crust pineapple pizza (large) and got ... A regular pineapple pizza with no stuffed crust. When I called and asked about it, I was told they delivered it that way cause there was no stuffed crust left ... Then tell me that so I can cancel the order? And this isn't the location's fault but the Door Dasher they used was late cause they couldn't figure out the address. I'll update the review if they do the right thing and refund it (the person on the phone said they'd talk to a manager) but for now, not happy.

Pizza is always dry when ordering from this location. Gimme some sauce and cheese plz.

I’m not going to give a horrible review. However I didn’t get my wings I ordered online with my delivery, granted dashers do stuff like that all the time but then I call to replace my missing item, the manager handled it great, offered to replace my item free of charge delivery and a complimentary drink. My item comes and I get no drink 🤦🏻‍♀️ so again it’s not horrible but the mess ups are too many.

Order a Dr Pepper Cajun fries and some wings. Wings were great and drink was correct but barely got any fries. Been to other locations and have received more. Also when I asked for a fork I was given a spork for my wings so I ended up waiting until I made it home to eat them. Other than that wasn’t half bad

I am writing a negative review after my visit on Saturday, Feb 21st at 8:30 PM. I came in for a pick up order that was for delivery that was supposed to be ready for pickup. I was told it would be an extra 10 minutes until it would be ready. I ended up waiting a total of 23 minutes for this order- which upset my customer- as I had to explain why her pizza that was supposed to be delivered 20 minutes ago, still wasn't ready. The main reason I am writing this review is because of the behavior displayed by an employee, older woman (the younger female employee refused to give me her name). She was in the back banging things around, cussing, yelling and then to top it off, she walked out of the kitchen with a cigarette in her mouth (not lit), mumbling something angrily as she walked through the dining area and out the doors. I was shocked to say the least.. I am pretty sure having a cigarette out, in your mouth, lit or not, while you are in the kitchen with pizzas is not okay.

Previously I ordered 10 pizzas, this time I ordered 7 pizzas; an order of Cinnabon’s and an order of Brownies. Just for the sake of context. Yesterday, I placed my order at 7:45am to be delivered to my church by 5:45pm. I received a notification at 5:30p-ish that it would be delivered by 6:14pm. 30min late! I called the store- was told only two people showed up for work. How is that my problem? At 5:45 they were still preparing my pizza order. I also tipped the driver $20 when I placed my order, not aware that it was a DoorDash Driver. I was notified a little after 6pm that my order was picked up. I didn’t received my order until 6:38 when the church is less than 10 minutes from the store. I had to cancel the pizza social to keep our event on schedule. It was a waste. When my order arrived, it was lukewarm at best; the Cinnabon’s were doughy and so undercooked- they were inedible; the brownie I ordered was missing. A few minutes later I received a text from the DoorDash Driver saying, “I dropped your cookie that’s why I couldn’t give it to you.” Now, the problem with this is- I ordered from this same Pizza Hut previously when I had an event at church. That time I personally picked up my order. I arrived early and waited 30 minutes for my order that time. Again I was told my order was large and they didn’t have enough staff. But I saw lots of workers stumbling over each other, yet my order was delayed. I want my money fully refunded. I also want the $20 tip to the inept delivery driver refunded as well. I was told, “we don’t have delivery drivers. We contract with DoorDash.” How and I supposed to know that as a consumer? I didn’t pay DoorDash, I paid my transaction to Pizza Hut. This was a total mess both times I ordered from this Pizza Hut. And it will never happen again.

Staying in town and placed an order to my hotel. Not only did they not deliver to my room, they never said it was delivered so it sat at reception for 20 minutes. Then the pizza was wrong missing the toppings we paid extra for, the dessert Cinnabons didn’t have any frosting at all. I called to bring this to their attention and the call center transferred me to local location who left me on hold for 23 minutes then disconnected on me when I told them what was wrong. I will be disputing the charge with my bank.

Ordered mini box individual pizza, meat lovers melt ,wings the food was delivered fast hot .It was fresh but I was disappointed because I was charged for wings.That was missing in my order . If they return the money, my refund in time frame they say they will I'll come back give it 5 stars.\nOther than that , it isn't good to charge people for items they didn't get or ordered.

Called this location because my order was incorrect and the manager on shift on February 10 at 11:03am answered the phone and upon letting him know I had a issue with my order he Proceeded to hang up in my face, Very rude and disrespectful.

To the goober bartender today and hope the owner sees this: Well, if you’re looking for something “lost,” it’s definitely good service at The Lost Well. This grungy dive bar delivers on the grit but fails spectacularly on basic decency. The bartender? Less welcoming, more “I’m too cool to care if you exist.” You’d have better luck finding water in a desert than a smile behind that bar. Sure, it’s a dive, and I’m all for the rough-around-the-edges charm, but this place somehow manages to miss even that mark. Instead of being the kind of laid-back, no-frills spot East Austin is known for, it just feels… lost. And not in the cool, edgy way you might hope for. If the goal is to leave customers parched and unimpressed, then congrats—they’ve hit rock bottom. But as for me? I won’t be digging my way back to The Lost Well anytime soon.
