Titaya has been in Austin for years now, and Without a doubt, offers the best and most authentic Thai food I've had in the USA. From the moment we sat down, it was clear we were in for a treat. The restaurant is also reasonably priced, making the incredible quality even more impressive. The service was remarkably fast, without any compromise on the top-notch food quality. We highly recommend indulging in their classic fish specialities. The Pad Cha, Chuu Chee Pla, and Pla Sum Rod were all phenomenal, with sauces that were truly out of this world – bursting with fresh and vibrant flavors. We also started with the chicken skewers appetizer, which was absolutely excellent and perfectly prepared. The Tom Yum soup lived up to its reputation – incredibly spicy and utterly delicious, a must-try for those who enjoy a good kick. To perfectly conclude our meal, the mango sticky rice was the ideal sweet ending. And don't miss their ice Thai tea, which was strong, refreshing, and incredibly delicious. Overall, my experience at Titaya was exceptional. If you're looking for truly authentic Thai flavors, fast and friendly service, and incredible value in Austin, look no further. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!
Best authentic Thai Restaurant do try their Thai Ice Tea Late
I was there last night visiting from out-of-town. Our server was very attentive and very sweet! I had the crying tiger, and the spiciness lived up to its name. I have had problems finding places finding heat like I grew up with. Since visiting from OOT, I had my company AMEX card. They accept it for online orders but not on-site. However, being a small business owner, they were able to work around it by making it an online order. That's what I call service and going the extra mile with a smile 😃 😊 something we dont see these days.
Titaya’s Thai Cuisine is truly a gem in Austin. The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the visit. The restaurant was packed with both dine-in guests and nonstop to-go orders, which only shows how loved this place is. I originally stopped by for a to-go order, but with a 45-minute wait, I decided to dine in instead. The dine-in wait wasn’t too long, and I’m glad I stayed. The staff was warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive despite the busy crowd. One thing that really stood out was the atmosphere. Even the regular customers were so nice and helpful, offering menu suggestions and sharing their favorites. It made the experience feel welcoming and community-oriented. Overall, Titaya’s was absolutely worth the wait. Amazing food, great service, and a friendly vibe all around. I’ll definitely be back!
Absolutely fantastic Thai food. I had honestly given up on enjoying Thai food in Austin till we tried this gem. The staff is polite, efficient and knowledgeable and the restaurant was bustling. Unique items I recommend trying are the sweet corn taro fritters and black rice pudding! Can’t wait to come back during mango season for the sweet sticky rice!
I came here for a Saturday night dinner with my family. We loved the food and our server was fantastic. The food was not only delicious but it came out so quickly! My favorite dishes were Pad Woon Sen, taro fritters, and the papaya salad. The Pad Woon Sen was flavorful and had a slight smokiness to it. The taro fritters were perfectly crispy and had a tasty batter. The papaya salad was fresh and spicy! The shrimp in the papaya salad were fat and sweet. Other dishes we enjoyed: basil fried rice, tom yum soup, chu chee pla, and fish cake appetizer. The pad see ew was just ok. The portions were on the smaller side but matched the price. We had a party of 5 and got 5 entrees and 2 appetizers. Overall, I would come here again! I loved the food and service. The dishes tasted authentic and flavorful. I would love to explore more of the dishes on the menu. This is a great place to take your family to, people visiting from out of town, or a tasty dinner date. The atmosphere is relaxing and calm and the restaurant is beautifully decorated.
Local Guide, Kelly Nguyen's review of Titaya motivated me to drive over to Hyde Park and check out this Thai hot spot. Here's how her review began: "Titaya has been in Austin for years now and, without a doubt, offers the best and most authentic Thai food I've had in the USA. From the moment we sat down, it was clear we were in for a treat. The restaurant is also reasonably priced, making the incredible quality even more impressive." I have never met Kelly, but I think we would be culinary buds. I chose the Satay Gai ($10.50) as an appetizer. The marinated chicken skewers are served with peanut sauce and a cucumber relish. It was a nice light appetizer that I paired with another Titaya favorite. Tom Yum soup. If you haven't tried it, the soup is a spicy broth with chili, lime, lemongrass, yellow onion, tomatoes, and mushrooms. You can have it with chicken shrimp or tofu (I chose shirmp $7.95). It is available in a bowl or firepot. If y'all appreciate Thai heat, this will fire your taste buds up in a hurry. For the entrées, I tried two classics. If you ask most people what they know about Thai cuisine in America, they will probably mention Pad Thai ($13.50 including chicken) The dish is perfect for my wife, because she has a low tolerance for heat, and she loves the signature sweet tamarind sauce. I really enjoyed Titaya's take on it. For my meal, I chose Chuu Chee Pla ($19.95) off Titaya's Classic Favorites menu. A crispy Basa fish fillet is topped with a coconut red curry sauce. The heat is more subtle coming in at the end of each bite after delivering a sweet creamy taste at the start. Overall, the meal was excellent. We already have our next meal picked out - Hung Lay Buns ($10.50) and Spinach Dumplings ($7.50) as appetizers and the Pad Cha ($19.95) and Pad See Eiw ($13.50 with chicken) for the main meal. There is so much good Thai food and so little time! This place is a must stop. Add it now to your list! #MattGoodEats
The👏🏻best 👏🏻noodles👏🏻ever💯🔥🙌🏻 I’ve never enjoyed noodle dishes at Thai restaurants until I ate at Titaya’s. We came here on a friend’s recommendation and I’m so glad that we’ve found our favorite Thai restaurant in the Austin area now. We got the Pad See Eiw (one with tofu, another with chicken) and it was sooooo good we ordered Pad Kee Mao to go! The Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk was OK and not something I’d order again (strong coffee though). The black rice pudding is a barely-sweet kind of a dessert and definitely an acquired taste if you’re not used to rice in desserts (kind of like a rice kheer, almost). We’ll be back for the noodles 💯🍜
Great spot. They are super dialed in here as a business. You cannot be seated until your entire party is present. They get packed right at 6pm for dinner. The menu has an awesome array of Thai dishes. The service is very quick and efficient. The food was awesome. Definitely a must while in Austin!
We went here during an early lunch to celebrate a coworkers birthday! 11 am and the place was practically empty but it filled in soon after. The service was fast during this time and the food was SO DELICIOUS. All four of us ordered something different and we each absolutely LOVED the flavor of our meals. The amount of the entire dishes was plentiful and the protein amount was very plentiful as well.... pleasantly surprised with this! This was my first time here, but I'll definitely be back or ordering delivery. I had the N10 aka Pad Soon Sen with chicken and shrimp 😋The other pictured dishes were F2 and pineapple fried rice.
Excellent customer service from the moment you come in contact with the hostess to the waitress that took care of us. All the food that I ordered were very tasty. My favorite was the crab meat fried rice. It was not dry and full of flavor. The pad Thai along with the curry that I got were very good too. The sweet rice with thai tea egg custard was so good! The rice was warm which complimented the custard very well. I will be coming back to try more of their menu.

Best Thai I've had in Austin. Easy parking, great ambiance (typically pretty crowded), and friendly service. Everything was delicious, but our favorite was the Kao Todd - sooo good!!

Highly recommend, friendly great service, excellent food., good prices and large portions. They have a full bar and the cold sake is terrific.
Last night’s dinner? Baby… it showed up and showed out. I ordered the green curry herb with bamboo strips, eggplant, fresh basil, zucchini, and serrano simmered in coconut milk — and I added chicken and shrimp because we don’t do halfway over here. If we’re eating, we’re eating. Let me tell you something. The balance? On point. Just enough coconut milk to make it silky without drowning the dish. Just enough serrano to whisper heat instead of scream at you. The zucchini, eggplant, and bamboo strips all held their own — nothing mushy, nothing fighting for attention. Every bite felt intentional. It was pickup, but I stepped inside to grab my order, and that place was spotless. Clean like somebody’s mama was doing inspections. And the staff? Friendly, efficient, no nonsense. This wasn’t just dinner. It was a “why don’t I order this more often?” kind of meal. Yes, I’ll absolutely be back. And next time? I might dine in just to soak it up properly. 🌿✨
Classic Thai food with classic Thai flavor, and my partner, her cousin, and I really enjoyed the courteous service that our server offered us throughout our dining experience. I don't have a lot of comments about this one, so I will just leave what I can! We ordered quite a few first bites, and they were all pretty good. The wings had good marinated flavor from the lemongrass, garlic, and peppercorns. The taro fritter was like fries made with taro, and it was an interesting experience that I simply treated as eating fries eventually. The crab cakes were solid as well, as I could taste sweet corn and eggs in them, and the spicy mustard aioli on the side worked well. I ordered two bowls, one containing tom yum, and one containing tom kha. I enjoyed tom kha a lot and thought it was the perfect amount of coconut milk included, and the effects of galangal, lemongrass, lime, and chili were obvious. Tom yum was okay, as I thought there was a bit too much chili, but I understood that it was supposed to be that way and it was my spicy tolerance that posed an issue. They offered a lot of tofu which was great. I do have to point out that my partner's cousin ordered the tom yum fried rice but was served crab meat fried rice instead. We ended up just letting it slide, but would like to mention that it happened. The crab fried rice could use a bit more seasoning. The flavor wasn't quite there, unfortunately. One more thing that might help elevate the experience was coconut water, if we could have a real coconut instead of an existing carton. But this is just me proposing something that could be potentially unrealistic and it is only because I have seen other places do it. Regardless, overall solid experience and I would recommend this establishment to those in Austin looking for Thai food.

Food is fine if you are into thai. The usual spice is very low when compared to indian spice. The tom-kha soup is warm, sweet and coocnutyy. I liked it . The chicken skewers are low key tasteless. The pad thai chicken is good. If you are into spicy food you should probably mention it to them or else they do default 20% tip is mandatory for a party more than 5 but the waitress selected 20 by default and was forcing us to sign it up. We were 3 people That ruined the experience for me
I like this place as it’s one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in the area. I had the basil fried rice which was very delicious. Here’s my only complaint they were going to charge my friend extra money for asking for a slice of lime. Very strange. I’ve been to a lot of Thai restaurants and limes are usually complementary. Great food though. Maybe BYOL (Bring Your Own Lime) 7/10 Lime Slices 🍋🟩
My wife and I eat here at least once a month and the jungle curry is my absolute favorite. We’ve always had good experiences, but in my most recent order I found a sharp piece of metal in my takeout order food. I called right away, and they gave me a refund and said they’d run it up the chain, which I appreciate. I’m posting this just to share what happened since it’s a serious safety issue. I really hope it was a one-time fluke because we’ve always enjoyed this place
