Tuk Tuk Thai Cafe is praised for tasty, affordable Thai food and friendly service. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are popular. It's more of a takeout place with some seating. Some report issues with order accuracy and food quality, but most experiences are positive.

Great food, great vibes! Thanks for the great meal
Delicious! Great selection, my food was ready quickly, and the woman at the front was very kind and helpful! I'll definitely be back soon.
First time visit. From West of San Antonio. Although it’s take out or delivery you are more than welcome to eat inside. Ordered beef noodle soup with extra noodles and beef. Was not a long wait. Very quick. The beef noodle soup was the most popular dish as many ordered it. They are very friendly and treated my family and I to free mango sticky rice dessert. Delicious!
This is really one of the hidden gems of Austin, imo, especially for takeout. It’s small, so there’s not much seating, but everyone who works there seems friendly - thoughtful even. Most importantly, though, their food is delicious and seems to be made from quality ingredients. Their fried dumplings and sesame chicken are highly recommended. I love that I can set a custom spiciness level for dishes that I order, too.
Best Tom kha gai I have had since Kanomwan in Houston. The y were very nice too since we didn't know it was take out only. My husband wasn't too impressed with the Pad cashew chicken, was a bit bland compared to the thai food he normally eats.
Had the best experience with Tuk Tuk recently and wanted to be sure to leave a stellar review. My friend and I had lunch here and the food was delicious all around! My car battery died while I was there and then my phone battery was running low so they graciously offered me a phone charger and also to jump my car (had already tried with my friend and subsequently called a tow company). I felt so supported and they truly did not need to go so far out of their way to offer to help me. As I was waiting, another customer came in to pick up her food and said she lives north but this is her favorite Thai restaurant. Everyone needs to visit Tuk Tuk asap!
I honestly think this might be the best food in Austin. Had a religious experience eating my take out. This is the second time I’ve ordered from here and literally everything I’ve eaten has been EXCELLENT. Some of the best money I’ve ever spent on food. Thank you Tuk Tuk Thai 🙏🏻
Very good Thai at a decent price. Bonus for staff being extra friendly and helpful when you order take out. We will come back next time we are in town. For those wondering— we felt like the spice levels were on the spicier side. 1-2 were mild, 3 was hot, 4 was too much for us, can’t imagine what 5 is.
Great food!!! But they only have take out now. However, the staff let us eat inside and even cleaned up after us. I really enjoyed the food and wished my stomach was bigger so I could eat more. Parking lot is a little small, so just be aware of that.
This little Thai restaurant caught my eye as I was driving by while I was hungry. Glad I stopped. It's a simple little takeout place with great food in generous portions. I got the green Thai curry which was plenty of food for me and I took home leftovers to my husband. It fed him and there was still some left. The guy who took my order was very polite and gracious and brought my food to me while I was sitting outside at the tables and chairs that are chained up to each other with no shade. Not much atmosphere, and no place to sit inside, but perfect for takeout. Thankfully they didn't use any styrofoam and asked before putting plasticware with my order. In fact, I asked for no bag and he cheerfully brought out my Curry in a reusable plastic container with the lid and rice in a small paper box. Most places when I ask for no bag or silverware they give it to me anyway.
Best Thai Food I’ve had in TX so far…and I’ve been searching. Had Chicken Pad Thai, And TomKa, and Crab Rangoon. All tasty! Excellent service too. Right now they only serve food in Togo boxes but you can eat at tables no prob. They also have a little Thai Market so you can stock up on ingredients if you wanna cook Thai yourself! Very cute.
This is probably my favorite Thai place in Austin. The food is really good, and for a great price. The staff is super friendly, and they even have a little shop inside. I typically get their Tom Ka, which in my opinion, is the best thing on the menu. Everything I've tried from here is delicious though. I highly recommend this place.
In my search for actually good crab ragoons and fried dumplings.... THIS IS IT! They do it correctly here. There is crab and onion in my ragoons! The pineapple curry fried rice was delicious and the Thai tea is spot on! I enjoy ragging on a place when they suck. This place is far from bad... if I could do 10 out of 10 stars they would still be an 11. The hostess was delightful and the service was great.
We were from out of town and stopped by! It’s mostly take out but they pulled two tables up front together and sat my family! The waitress/hostess was so nice to us. Most importantly the food was absolutely delicious and every time we go out to eat we choose Tai! This place is one of the best!
Lovely little Thai spot. Mostly great for to go orders. We didn't have to wait long at all to get our meal. Both dishes were amazing, we had both green and pineapple curry.
Amazing place for takeout. I love their fried rice - if you're getting a curry the $2 extra upgrade for fried rice instead of rice is 100% worth it.
I have been ordering from here for years because the food is always delicious but yesterday was my first time to dine in. The service was exceptional. The young lady that served us was so friendly. What a pleasant experience. As always the food was also phenomenal. This will always be my go to Thai place. Thank you!
Very delicious Thai food. I had the yellow curry and thai tea along with fried dumplings.
I dine at Tuk Tuk Cafe every other day. The staff are consistently polite and helpful. I have been a patron of Tuk Tuk Cafe for over six years. I have sampled a wide variety of dishes from their menu and have always been pleased with my meals. Currently, the green curry special is my favorite.
Best Thai food I have ever eaten. I had the pineapple chicken curry with jalapenos. The owners give first class service above and beyond all expectations. Will eat here again any time I am in Austin.
Tom Kha & Massaman Curry @ a spice level 5 = HEAVENLY!!!!! Currently this spot is family owned and operated and they are 100% masked up. Please be patient and order ahead. They will call and text and let you know when your meals are ready. There is ZERO opportunity to sit down inside - BUT I’ve included a photo of the little patio area with bistro tables that you are welcome to eat your to-go food at.
Very welcoming, clean, accurate, knowledgeable. Ordered takeout and it was ready within 10 minutes. The woman at the front counter knows how to handle her business and customers very well. I was absolutely impressed by her. I will be coming back to Tuk Tuk.
Food tasted amazing. Orderd chicken satay, panag curry and pad thai. All of them tasted so good. The mango dessert was a little salty which we didn't expect and may be ruined the dish a little but rest all were amazing! Wish they had dining
One of the best Thai places in Austin! The pad Thai is amazing
Tuk tuk is the best Thai restaurant in Austin Texas. it's a family-run business and their food is consistently fresh and good. You get plenty of meat and fresh vegetables in the dishes. One of my favorite dishes is the Thai lomein - It has cabbage carrots broccoli some garlic and the lo mein noodles and your choice of meat with a brown sauce. Delicious! The owners are warm and inviting and the prices are really good. There's a few tables in the front where you can eat inside but they do mostly take out. Be sure to check their hours because they do take a break between lunch and dinner. Great place to eat!
Beautiful authentic Thai. Friendly and prompt. Love the fact they have spices and sauces for sale in front. Wr ordered a bit of everything for. 1st time thai eater. Everything was delicious
Stopped by Tuk Tuk Thai on Manchaca today. Friendly staff, even though I was just using the restroom (sign said "customers only," but they were cool about it). Didn't eat, but liked the atmosphere – they have some Thai groceries and knick-knacks for sale. Picked up a can of coconut cream.
Best Thai I have had in Austin From the DC area and have found the Thai lackluster compared to all of the consistent options there. Tuk Tuk Is the one restaurant Where the food feels authentic and delicious.
Wish I could rate this 10 out of 5. I do not say this lightly, this might be the best thai food I’ve ever had. Ever. And I’ve been to Thailand (3 times). The massaman is absolutely perfect. Potatoes were cooked right, tofu had great texture, a very light but delicious spice. The basal thai was also fantastic. Cooked well and very very delicious! Highly recommend, can’t wait to eat here again!
I love this place! The girl that answers the phone is the sweetest! She gives the best recommendations and always remembers me by name when I go in to get my order. The food is always tasty and made just right! So flavorful and always hits the spot. I would give it 6 stars if I could!! Definitely the best thai place in south Austin hands down!!
Simple to go place. I lived in La for 18 years and have been craving Thai very much. Any Asian really. But the places are few and far between and it’s been like having dim sum in Omaha Nebraska….. but tuk tuk had my favorite pineapple curry with shrimp and I got a side of fried rice. The service was so nice. The woman who took care of me was so dang sweet. Well the curry hit home for sure. I’ll be back.
I have ordered Tuk Tuk on uber eats like 7+ times! I have been searching for a good basic pad Thai for 2 years and Tuk Tuk has it! It’s flavorful, and the portion size is amazing for the price! I always have leftovers!! I’ve never been to the actual location but I’ve never had an issue with them! So good!!
REALLY REALLY good Thai food. Very friendly staff, you can tell it's family owned. They do mostly takeout and the food comes in takeout containers only but you can stay and dine in at one of the tables if you like.
In the 3yrs I’ve been here in Austin, I’ve probably dined at Tuk Tuk Thai restaurant over a hundred times. I go through my favorites rotation of fried rice, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew or Tom Yum Goong soup for the cold/rainy days. But what fan would I be if don’t try their full selection? So I decided on a quest to try EVERY single item on their menu that I haven’t had before. For tonight’s visit I opted for their Pla Lad Prik chef’s special and ohhhhhh mmyyyyyy goodness!!! I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this delicious concoction all this time! I rarely step outside of my own personal norms so me trying something new really really paid off this time! The lightly battered boneless tilapia fillet was fried to golden perfection and drowned in curry sauce with bell peppers and jalapeño. I’m not even embarrassed to share I ended up consuming 3 scoops of rice. This family owned restaurant goes above and beyond to continuously and consistently provide not only soul satisfying food, but genuine and world class service as well. This crispy fish in a sauce dish reminds me so much of my Papa’s Escabeche cooking. Thank you Tuk Tuk Thai for being a piece of home away from home for me. 💙💚💛🧡❤️💜 Even my fortune is on point tonight: “Don’t worry about the stock market. Invest in family.”
Delicious Thai food, portion is large, too. Parking and wait time a little tight during busy time. Updated July 2019 Been back 3 times since. Updating stars from 4 to 5. Their food is consistently good quality, fast service, and authentic. They sell a little assortment of Thai ingredients like curry paste and tea mix.
Authentic, big portions, delicious. Awesome customer service. Pad Thai, Basil Thai fried rice, dwi noodles, sesame chicken, yellow curry. all flavorful and right spice level. The 5 is a Thai 5 so prepare to sweat.
I order from Tuk Tuk regularly and have never been disappointed. There are lots of vegetarian options and you can select tofu as your protein for most dishes. The portions are generous and the food is super solid. Takeout orders are usually ready within 20-30 minutes. Happened to order takeout for a group the night of the White Lotus finale, which apparently was a VERY popular night for Thai food (rightly so). 🤣I have never seen the parking lot or interior more packed. Despite a longer than normal wait due to the influx of orders, the food was excellent and nothing was missed. Everyone enjoyed the heat of the level 3 spiciness. Will continue to order from this neighborhood gem!
Loved, loved, loved this place. My colleague recommended it and I honestly didn’t expect much, but wow—I was so wrong. Everything we ordered was fresh and super flavorful. We got the spring rolls, Thai basil fried rice, chicken satay, and pineapple curry fried rice. So good. Make sure you ask for extra chilli oil—it’s insane. They don’t have much dine-in space, just a few outdoor tables, but the food more than makes up for it. Only regret is that it’s far from me… or maybe that’s a good thing, otherwise I’d be there every day.
Really good basil fried rice, great dumplings, large quantities of food, very friendly staff
Been coming here for over 10 years and not once was disappointed. Tom Kha and shrimp spring rolls are my go to and I swear their peanut sauce is the best in town. If you like the heat tell them and they’ll challenge what you’re capable of handling. Top spot in town! I think it’s still take out only but even on the back of your truck in the parking lot - worth every bite
I love this spot. They’re so reliable every time. I like the pad se ew and the panang curry.. don’t skip the rangoons!
Amazing. I got the cheese and Pickle wontons and the Spicy seafood soup with crab, squid, shrimp. BOMB. This place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Real authentic Thai food. I don't like the other Thai places, Madame Thai, yuck, the herbs taste old or dirty. It's not supposed to. It's supposed to taste fresh. Looking at this menu you know the food is high quality. This place is ALWAYS busy!
I probably ate one of the best Thai food here in a while. A true hole in the wall, they served amazing food. We ordered the tom yum soup(be prepared to be blown away), khao soi with chicken, pad thai with chicken. Everything was exceptionally made and made us go wow with every bite. Great hospitality! Will be back 😍
Awesome, very respectable and honest. Had the beef fried rice with#5 heat.. Great. Everything was great
I love this place so much. The food is great especially for take out. And the staff are so nice! It’s a small place so it can get slammed sometimes, especially with delivery services, but just be patient. I’ve always had my order ready within the pick up time and the staff are always very helpful.
One of our go-to takeout spots. We always get the Pad Thai and the Pineapple fried rice. Great gluten free options too.
Ordered the Pad Thai and Fried Dumplings. Delicious food with perfect spice at 3/5. Eric was very friendly and created a wonderful atmosphere.
This is a great spot for some awesome Thai! This is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in Austin. The Pad See Ew is absolutely fantastic and generously portioned. You get to add a spice level to your dish as well, and level 3 is a very good and tolerable heat if you enjoy spicy food. The interior is a little small but beautifully decorated. Don't let the exterior of the building fool you, it's actually a unique and peaceful place inside. The service is very friendly, and the dishes are very affordable. Definitely recommend this place!
I’m so glad I got to try this Thai restaurant here in Austin. I bought their pork pad krapow, pad see ew, and mango sticky rice. Pad krapow definitely hit the spot, totally would order that again. The pad see ew was a bit salty for my liking, but the dessert was such good value! A little hole in wall, great Thai food!
It's a nice little place where you'll have delicious and original Thai food. The place is clean and staff are always happy to take care of you. I highly recommend it.
I’ve been living in this neighborhood for my whole life, but have been sleeping on Tuk Tuk until this year. It has got to be some of the best food available in South Austin. The people who run this place are so sweet and kind! I adore their Tum Kha Gai (pictured with chicken, YUM!), but be warned that Thai food don’t mess around with their spice levels (max I can do is level 2, I love it though!). Their Pad See Ew (my second fav), DWI Noodles, Sesame Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and fried rice are all solid amazing choices! Great portions too (pics aren’t accurate as we’ve already digged in) We’re definitely going to be regulars for probably the rest of our lives haha!
We ordered takeout shortly before close and they were super accommodating while letting us eat on the patio since we were on bikes. Green curry with tofu hit the spot after riding around the neighborhood. Food was delicious and we will definitely be back!
As someone who stayed in Thailand for 3 months and Thai food being my favorite cuisine, I can vouch for this place consistently hitting the spot when I’m craving Thai takeout (pad thai and curries). Just don’t go expecting Jitlada level, it’s not that - go bc you are in Austin not in LA (or of course, Thailand) and you need authentic and decent neighborhood Thai.
Hidden gem. Everything is delicious. All of their curries are so good. (I think it used to be a breakfast taco Mexican restaurant.)
This place rips, food is killer, affordable, and the staff is always wonderful. Been eating here for 8+ years, can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed in a meal. It truly is comfort food.
Tuk Tuk Thai is a great Thai food spot. They're more of a takeout kind of a place, but they do have seating. If you wish to dine in. Just realize they're more oriented towards take out food. The food is fresh and it's great. The flavors are amazing. The portions are huge. Hubby's Pad Thai was loaded with shrimp. The sesame chicken had a fantastic taste, not just a glaze. My pad see ewe was delicious with a lovely balance of ingredients. Remember they are mostly a take out place so service so is done in take away containers, take away plates, everything is temporary. There's no metal forks or spoons or plates or like that here. Great food! Very nice friendly staff
This is more of a take out place, but the food is great. My wife and I stopped in on the way to our hotel just based on the reviews. They don't lie. The quality of the food was actually better than we expected.
Took my two young daughters here for lunch on Sunday 12/7. The woman working in the front made a great recommendation (flat noodle dish) and they loved it! Food was served quickly and it was great!
This place provides a comfortable and really clean serene atmosphere. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. I got the tom yun pork noodle soup and my sis got the pan nang curry at least I think thats what they were called. Both dishes were brimming with flavor and packed with food. The crab ragoon that we got as a side might be the best crab ragoon ive ever had!!! And we got the coconut pudding we havent had that yet but im sure its yummy!
Had dinner at Tuk Tuk Thai Cafe and it was a delight — their Pad See Ew was silky and packed with wok flavor, and the Tom Kha Gai coconut soup brought the perfect balance of creaminess and tang. The Salt & Pepper Seafood Platter also impressed — crisp calamari, shrimp, and tilapia tossed just right with black pepper and chilies. The vibe is casual and comfortable, and though it’s mostly takeout, the staff were warm and helpful (even walked me through spice levels). It’s the kind of spot where you leave feeling like you got something real and satisfying, not just “good enough."
Friendly Thai restaurant selling most of their business as to go orders even though they have several peaceful tables inside and on an unshaded patio in front of the store. They have an extensive menu of rice, noodle, and broth-based dishes with many vegetarian options. They have a small free parking lot. They are located across the street from a library and just down the street from great desert at quank's.
It is the absolute best Pad Thai in South Austin. My Thai friend recommended it, and I've been a regular visiting at least two times a month for the past seven years. It's super affordable and they give you huge portions. Plus, the food is just amazing. I've tried their Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, nearly all of their fried rice options, and the Tom Yum soup.
So much to list ✨️ First and foremost, love the welcoming 🙏 The cleanliness was just a first impressions spot on 👍 The food OMG 😲 !!! I ordered the half fried half steamed dumplings 😋 they were the bomb, as soon as Pete brought them to my table , instantly reminded me of horsd'oeuvres, soooo delicious 😋 perfect bite soze dumplings. . It gets better, I ordered the noodles 🍜 soup with pork loin, beef was just so beefy 💯 👍. The taste and the aroma from that soup was far beyond any pho I've ever had . Pete was the hots brother, he was a gent, super nice guy , couldn't have a better half a week without you guys 😉 Thanks Tuk Tuk Thai Cafe ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️
i love this place and their food so much!! the pad see ew is amazing, and this beef noodle soup is incredible!! one of my new favorite soups when i need a comforting meal. flavors are perfect, portions are generous, spice level is customizable which i love! all the food i’ve had from here is great
Tasty food, friendly staff, and clean environment. Can’t beat the price. I ordered a side of fried rice and got a very generous portion for only $3.25. My previous visit I got what must have been a 32oz iced backlash tea for the same price.
By far the most welcoming, friendly, and tasty Thai in Austin!! The food was prepared within a reasonable timeframe, everything was so flavorful, and the price point/portion size was just right. We ordered level 5 chicken pad Thai and level 4 panang curry. Delicious food and ingredients tasted fresh. The cashier/server was super friendly and helpful with any questions and very attentive, considering how EXTREMELY busy they were. Just in the 45 min we sat and ate, at least a dozen to-go orders came and went and she was so nice and hospitable to each single customer. We will definitely be coming back and letting everyone know what great food and service we received. 10/10
Best Pad Thai, so good. Although they still have some seating, it's really a take out place at this place. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They also do a great job of under promise over deliver on the turn around time. 30-35 minutes, 25 minutes later.. food is ready. Full disclosure I've only ordered Phad Thai here but its incredible. I've heard from more adventurous eaters that the rest of menu is just as good.
I ordered Kao sui noodles and mango sticky rice. Both were good. Definitely a good place to checkout
Stir fry meal I had was quite good, decent portion size and price. Almost all the inside area was closed off when I went on a Sunday, so there were only a few tables to sit at. Maybe they're primarily takeout on Sunday. But it could be like that on all days for all I know. Update: The sesame chicken has an unbelievably large portion of high quality chicken. I could not finish it in one sitting, which for me is an almost unique occurrence.
Good food - fresh, good quality, made to order. We had chicken pad Thai (slightly sweeter than we’re used to) and Pad see ew (made with regular broccoli rather than broccoli rabe or bok choy as we are used to). We also had Thai iced tea which was sweeter than usual (and that’s saying something!) but I liked it because I mixed it with unsweetened iced tea and enjoyed it longer. They are only doing takeout, so best to order ahead. They do have a couple small tables with an umbrella at the front door that you could sit and eat at if you’d planned to eat there. Takeout bowls are plastic and cups are styrofoam, if that matters to you.
This place has good food, the staff is great, service fast and you get a small salad (it's pretty much just iceberg lettuce and dressing) and a small egg roll during lunch time. My red curry tasted good, but I eat a lot of curry and it wasn't as flavorful as other Thai restaurants I've been too. The inside of this place is a lot nicer than the outside. Over all I like this place and I will go back! My husband eats here a lot because his work is close.
Tasty little Thai spot in S Austin. The recent remodeling spruced the place up and it looks good. I’m a big fan of the Crab Rangoons and Massaman curry. There are a lot of other interesting options on the menu. The dining space is cozy, and they make good use of every square foot. The staff were kind and fast. We’ll be back and likely carry-out, rather than dine-in, next time.
Always great food when I come here, and of the south side Thai food places this one is second. They have been closed for months of remodeling which must have been mostly in the kitchen because the dining area is still kind of small. Unlike some of the other places I have visited the noodles taste fresh. They are a little light on the spices but overall the food is good. Parking is still not great, with a small lot out front you are lucky to get a space if it is during meal time. The dinning area is small still which is nice when it is not crowded. Plenty of decorations and a cosy space make you feel like you are eating at home. BUT when it is crowded or someone with a small child shows up the arched roof acts like an amplifier and it gets loud. Conclusion - Great place I would recommend to anyone who lives south and likes Thai food, just try to go when they are less busy.
The vibe was off when I stepped in the restaurant. Not sure if the restaurant is under construction or something. Better to order “to go” than just dine in. But food was good.
After seeing so many good reviews, I decided to try this place today. The staff was very friendly, and my order came out quickly. I decided to order the massaman curry because it's my favorite dish, but unfortunately, I'm disappointed. When I've ordered it at other restaurants, the curry contains potatoes, carrots, onions, and peanuts, which is what gives it a special flavor, but at this restaurant, they only use potatoes and chicken, and the flavor is very bland. Not sure if I would like to try something else.
Got take out from this place and it’s a SOLID thai food place. Best one I have had in austin so far!! I knew it was gonna be good when i got off the car and i got hit with a whiff of lemongrass 😂😂. I got the Pad Woon Sen, spicy level 5 and it was really really tasty!! It had broccoli, celery?? and onions✨and I ordered it with chicken. Nice portion might i add. I will say i like spicy food so the level 5 was not too hot. Will definitely go back to try more of their food. Also my friend got the green curry and i honestly think it was too little for the $12 he paid 😭😭 so maybe if you’re getting that then eat at the actual place; I feel like there was more rice than curry.😭
Really good and fresh. Service was ok. This is an unassuming little joint, so don't dress up! Light bulbs out, sticky floors, tired floor tiles. I'm used to a restaurant in my home town (Mee Mee's) that also serves freshly made Thai food and she definitely has a different point of view when it comes to spice level. This place is tame! I had to keep adding chili paste to my dish to get any kind of heat. So what would give it 4 stars? Condiments brought to the table, more prompt service, a little more heat. I'd come back.
So the food was good . But when the lady served me the food she Did not ask if I needed anything . Before I could ask she was gone . I like hot sauce to be readily available if the food is not spicy enough . Also if you give me the check before I’m threw it makes me feel like I’m being rushed out . It was not busy inside . If I’m given the check Before I ask for it how am I suppose to ask for desert ? Feeling rushed . I ask for a to go container . They gave me a single piece of foil .... for pad Thai . That’s like wrapping up spaghetti loosely . Did not appreciate that the business can’t afford containers for their customers left overs like a proper business . Even a plastic cup would have been better then a FOIL. So idk if I’ll be back . The pad Thai was really good though . Way better then “ Thai fresh “ at least and they listened to me requesting “mild to medium “ . Some other Thai places will just give you super hot regardless of what you want . Idk so the experience here was sorta good and sorta not. I’m a pregnant women . I don’t wanna tolerate inconveniences for the first meal of my day after work . Thank you
This place used be decent but the last few times have been abysmal. Egg rolls came dry with no dipping sauce and the Tom kha (which is my go to) had zero flavor. Even when I put 4star spice, it’s a bland mess with extremely rubbery chicken. Sad because this used to be one of the best Thai spots with great prices
Food took about 30 - 35 minutes to get to the table after ordering, and my order (Masaman Curry) was missing an ingredient (peanuts). The curry was watery, and potatoes were sponges, so not a great combo. Not a lot of flavor, either, so I didn’t finish. I would give a three star for food and a two star for service.
Not good ): the sesame sauce part of the chicken was good, but the chicken tasted old and dry. It wasn’t fried and breaded like sesame chicken usually is. The fried rice tasted like it was made a long time ago and frozen. It was terrible. I had a vegetable soup that was delicious, but extremely salty. We ordered a side of yellow curry sauce, and that was delicious. That’s the only reason this is two stars and not one. If I ever eat here again, I’ll be ordering a bunch of curry sauce to go and making my own food at home with fresh chicken and fresh rice. Can’t believe I paid $35 for some bad sesame chicken with bad fried rice, a CUP of salty soup, and 8 ounces of decent yellow curry sauce. Never again.
Not a legitimate business. They add things to your meal that you didn’t ask for and which they will charge you extra for. When you confront them, do they say “oh sorry let me offer you free dessert” or something like that? No, they point to the menu and say “it says right here at the bottom of the menu that brown rice is extra”. Then, days later, when you get your credit card bill, they have added an extra 20% to your bill. The $10.99 item you ordered ended up as $18.98 on your credit card bill. I was recommended this place by a friend. Even as the soup was good, however with way too little chicken meat and the cheapest kind of chicken meat you can get, it’s not worth being scammed for. I will let my friend and other people know about the kind of train wreck racket these folks are running here.
Terribly salty chicken, tom kha gai had way too much lime, rice was mushy. Lived in TH a while, and this place was the worst thai food I've ever had. Hope it's just a really, really bad "one off," but I'll not be ordering from tuk tuk again
I don't usually do this but I had to say something about the bad quality of food from this place. I ordered dumplings and sesame chicken, both were so dry it was hard to swallow. It tasted like re heated left overs from weeks ago.. worst than frozen food you would buy at a store. I don't recommend it.
I’ve been a longtime customer and today I was truly disappointed. I ordered ahead yet when I showed up to pick up my vegan Tom yum the lady explained she never even got the order. I showed her my call log to prove it. She argued with me for a bit before she told me they would put in my order. I proceeded to wait 15 minutes while I watched so many people get their food before me. I heard the woman go in the back several times talking to the cooks to make the Tom yum. I was definitely forgotten. A woman from the kitchen rushed out to just give me a bag with it. However there was no spices, sauces, or to go settings. I had to ask the woman in the front again for this. I asked her to make this right and clearly said how this took way too long. She didn’t offer to make it right with a drink, refund, or anything. She just tried to explain that Tom yum takes a long time to make. I’m deeply hurt by this experience. For a place where they serve out of to go containers to the patrons inside the entire experience felt really bad. And for such high prices I will not be returning. It seems years ago this place was the best. Clearly they’re gone down hill and adjusted their prices to a very inauthentic, transactional lack of heart experience.
