Harbor Reef Restaurant

Opens at 5pm on the dot ....salmon wife ordered really yummy . My bison burger was delicious. Waitress was really nice and knowledgeable of the menu.

The best restaurant in town. Lol the only one too. I like tacos I try tacos everywhere I go and I have to say fish tacos from harbor reef restaurant didn't disappoint. Fish was fryed to my liking and had lots of flavor. Customer service was great, outdoor sitting area was nice too. We enjoyed our lunch with a view. We had good lunch experience here at two harbors. I would highly recommend this place.

Yum! We stopped for lunch at Harbor Reef while we were visiting Catalina. We were actually the first people to get the lunch menu (which starts at 10:30) and it was great. We got their burger, their hot dog with bell peppers and bacon, and their nachos. All 3 were delicious and fresh. The nachos were generously topped, which I appreciated because dry nachos suck :( The seating outside was beautiful and gives you a good view of the palms and sand. Everything pictured came to 46 dollars, which I think was fair for a heavy lunch, especially in a more touristy area. Good eats! 😼

This place rocks! My group went twice during our backpacking trip in Catalina. Shout out to the chef and staff for being awesome. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

We came up for a late lunch and had the BEST time. Our server Caroline was very sweet and accommodating (we had a few special requests) the food was 😋 we had the Chaat-chos as an appetizer, but we dug in so fast, I didn't get a picture. My husband had the black bean burger and I had the ahi tuna and my friend had the oke poke and it was all very fresh and tasty. Thanks again to Caroline for the exceptional service. We hope to come back soon and taste the rest of the menu. I almost forgot to mention the fresh cut potato chips were also great 👍

**Customer Review: Harbor Reef Restaurant** I recently visited Harbor Reef Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The location right on the beach is perfect, and the view is amazing. They have a great selection of beers and food. We enjoyed the okie pokie nachos and fish and chips, which were both delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is truly a blessing after hiking the trans-catalina trail from Little Harbor (4.5 miles almost all uphill) The food was pricey but not too expensive to enjoy this island restaurant. It was packed with a mixture of boaters and hikers with everyone chatting away about their adventures. I had the fish and chips and after the long hike, it really hit the spot. Cleaned the entire plate and will be coming back in late September when I complete the entire hike from Avalon to Two Harbors!!

The restaurant, saloon or grill are all great. The restaurant opens at 5pm for dinner. There is also an outside dining slot. The Sands. Overlooking the harbor. It's all here and it's the only place. So enjoy. Staff are happy. Food is good

Sitting here is a wonderful experience. It’s so beautiful and welcoming. I love that Two Harbors has become a fun destination, but still it’s small, uncrowded and quaint... at least not in the summer. Definitely recommend.

The fish and chips were surprisingly delicious. The Buffalo milk was over-hyped but the piña colada was actually pretty good. Wait time was quick even though the place was packed. The only thing they could improve on is the very wobbly tables that were dirty and replace the many burnt out lights. Solid place to go for expensive food though!

The dinners in the past have always been fabulous, but since I haven't been back for 20 years since Lombard around the restaurant, I'm guessing I need to have dinner before I do an actual review, at which time I will revise this review.

Way too pricy for the quality of food, but it's a tourist spot so what can you expect really. Buffalo milks were good!

What a pity to have such buffalo burger and fish tacos after hiking. Even half of a day's physical exertion did not make them appear to be delicious - I never had fried fish so stiff like the one here. Fortunately the bar saved us. The drinks were not bad.

Catalina is an island where people come to fish, and yet there isn't one offered on the menu. Why did you have to go to Avalon to get a fresh fish dinner. Harbor Reef used to have the best fresh fish on the island, yet when I was there no fresh fish offered. Why, what happened? Somethings fishy but not on my plate! Follow Up: We miss the days before the pandemic- Sea Bass, Baked, Mashed Potato or Rice Pilaf plus Vegetables . Choice of the Soup Of The Day or Dinner Salad and Fresh Bread. We couldn't wait daily to see what was written on the chalk board. They had New York Steaks, too. On a positive note. Presently your old stand by "Yacht Club" is arguably #1 sandwich on the island. I ordered a fruit cup and a latte, and unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The latte was probably the bitterest I’ve ever tried, and the watermelon in the fruit cup tasted like it had been sitting around for a week—it had already gone bad. On top of that, the service was not welcoming at all. Definitely won’t be coming back, even if it’s the only place around and I’m hungry.

**I usually don't leave reviews but my initial experience was so bad that I felt it necessary I came here after a day of hiking, excited for a delicious and warm meal. Unfortunately, I was met at the door by an older white lady (I believe she said her name was Katherine- or something along those lines). Not only was she unpleasant from the moment I walked in, but refused to answer any questions I had about the menu (what I assume was due to lack of menu knowledge), and scoffed at me when I asked if dining room seating was available. I got the message from her passive aggressive remarks under her breath and quickly walked past her to the bar, where i was warmly greeted by a younger male bartender. The bar was nice and warm, and the music wasn't too loud which was nice. I ordered the burger and fries, per the bartenders suggestion, and it was delicious. Shortly after having ordered at the bar, I see the same old lady with the hunchback from before sitting at one of the bar high-tops, scrolling through her phone and glaring at guests as they walked past her. Beyond unprofessional. The food and BAR service was great. But whoever that old lady is that I first encountered needs some serious training. I'd recommend putting someone else on the floor if that's how she treats guests.

Our most recent visit was awful. The food was shockingly bad. The orange cauliflower was soggy and flavorless. The pub burger tasted like it came off a cafeteria tray. It was dry, bland, and low quality. Worse than the food was the atmosphere. The energy in the restaurant was cold and off-putting. The staff all looked miserable.
