best dim sum spot on staten island id say, the meat dishes are superior to non-meat dishes here, ranking top to bottom: 1. beef ball / siu mai / ha cheong 2. fung zhao / ngow pa yeep / pai gwut / congee / ha gow 3. turnip cake / lai wong bao
Solid Cantonese food - served fast and fresh. We enjoyed the meal. And spacious place. Would come back again!
The best Peking Duck on Staten Island. The bird was plump and cooked to perfection with delicious crispy skin. Enjoy your dim sum today!!!
Precious Island Tea Shop is an authentic Cantonese gem right on Staten Island. The stir-fried lobster with sticky rice was rich and flavorful, the fried pork chop was perfectly crispy, and the stir-fried garlic steak was tender and loaded with garlicky goodness — every dish was a hit! The customer service was excellent and very attentive throughout our meal, making the experience even better. If you're looking for genuine Cantonese flavors and great hospitality, this place is a must-visit!
The food is magnificent! I’m a foodie and I know Chinese food especially Hong Kong style like this. The peaking pork chops are absolutely delicious. The wonderful walnut shrimp was scrumptious. We had a great time. People were laughing and having a great time. The portions were big! As you can see by the pictures. We took some home. It didn’t make it to the next day. (devoured in the middle of the night) would definitely Go again and bring my friends!
Came on a busy Sun lunch for 2, got seated right away. Clean, lively spot. Dim sum was main reason for visit, but they can accommodate gluten free, as my husband is celiac but enjoyed the fried rice. Staff very attentive, food comes lighting fast & piping hot. Ordered about 7 different dim sum, could not even pick a favorite, it was all so delicious! Read a previous review to be aware of upcharge.. I mentally kept tabs, and they matched it without having to discuss anything. Honest service, in our experience. Already planning what to try for next time!
Very solid dim sum place. On weekends and holidays they come around with carts and you get to choose from a very wide selection of assortments. It’s always packed we came on a Monday at 11am and still had to wait 20 minutes for a table…. Worth it. Best dim sum in nyc outside of manhattan’s China town.
Probably one of the only dim sum places in Staten Island, to be honest. They make the classic authentic dishes that I can find in great restaurants in Brooklyn and Chinatowns, like Phoenix claws, cha kueh, and steamed rice rolls. The place is popular for this reason and very crowded on weekends, even towards the later dim sum hour after 1-2 pm. The workers can be a bit varied in temperament, with the one who does seating, cashier, and delivery appearing a bit snappish, since they do like three jobs. Servers can be super attentive but also extremely busy helping customers who don't know menu items at all, since this place doesn't have only Chinese customers. They are very helpful. The food is always pretty good. I usually enjoy their seafood noodles the best, as it has crispy noodles mixing with the vicious sauce and plenty of mollusks. For dim sum, I recommend the pork ribs and any of the rice rolls, from shrimp to fried dough. The crowded and loud nature of the place is pretty much the atmosphere of any thriving dim sum tea hall, and it is a nice place to sit and catch up with family and friends.
Came here with friends for dinner and we had a wonderful time. The location is nice with a parking lot to the side of it. The interior is nice and the staff are very attentive. The food that we ate was delicious and we're definitely coming back again and bringing family. Definitely come here as early as you can if you want DimSum as it does get crowded very quickly.
Came for dim sum brunch. Food is good and the lovely atmosphere is great. It was busy and pretty packed when we got there at Sat 10:50AM. Service was fast and they constantly cleared our dirty plates without needing to be prompted. The only downside is very limited parking, but that isn't something the business has control over. I would recommend this place for dim sum!
This is the only place you will get AUTHENTIC Chinese food in the island without having to travel to manhattan or brooklyn. Been coming here since they opened and the food is still great. You’ll get a lot of family vibes if you come here. Ordered here a lot during the pandemic and the food was good but eating it fresh in the restaurant is a whole other experience. Definitely recommend this place without a doubt. 10/10.
Fair dimsum. The wait tho, not my favorite. Had to share tables a few times which isn’t preferred but when we want to eat asap, we say okay. We don’t order take out/dishes here anymore, just a preference thing.
Came here at 12:30PM for dim sum on a Friday and it wasn’t too crowded. We were able to get seated right away. We had some of the traditional dishes - har gow, siu mai, steamed pork bun etc and they were pretty standard. The shrimp dishes had pretty big pieces of shrimp in them so that was a plus! The date pudding was one of the best we’ve had in NY - very fragrant and tasty! The mango pudding was a bit too sweet for us. Overall, a pretty good dim sum place for Staten Island!
Hand down one of the best dim sum place on the island. Really none in the island. The great thing is the dishes that I like are good. Save me going to Brooklyn. The place have 2 floors, not a huge place, but good enough, parking lot can probably accommodate about 15 cars, but no worry it easy to find spot around the area. Service is good, can get pretty busy. Haven't really try the dinner so, but for dim sum definitely a go.
One of the best options for dim sum on Staten Island! There is on site parking and they have a great selection of dim sum! The restaurant is located on the first floor and is wheelchair friendly. They are checking vaccine cards at the door. They also do take out and delivery. Would totally come back again!
Went there dinner tonight with family to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival and it was packed with people. We ordered a lot of food for eight of us and food was great. The downside was waiting over 30 minutes after they served us soup. We understood the restaurant was packed and they should have hired more people to work for the special day.
2018.04 jumbo oyster....golden shrimp 2018.04 dim sum improving... Very hk feel 2017 4th visit cashier suck. She enter wrong order and doesn't want to admit it. Big minus 3rd visit .. dinner ... for sure MSG in food thirsty 2nd try... dinner... not bad .. nice delicious food Chinese style .. my son eat non stop ... pick your fav dish ... don't follow other .. u will be surprise .. don't feel thirsty this time Nice service, dim sum not bad ....but seems to hv lot of msg....thirst afterwards
Typhoon shelter style dungeness crab ($80) is the worst I have ever had - not even close in terms of ingredients and taste. Water spinach ($26) is very oily and to my surprise completely tasteless. Chicken is very dry and also a little tasteless. Fish and soup (also $80) is not bad but overpriced. The only thing tasted decent is the pork with cauliflower.
It's very bad. I called for the first time in the New Year to ask if two lobsters were $76, which I could accept, but when I called to place an order for the second time, a man said $94.I said why the price was different. The man said that plus the tax. What tax is for $20? It's very ridiculous .Ask the price clearly before you place an order.
Disgusting – Grease Pool, Red Dye, and No Flavor I ordered the General Tso’s chicken and it was absolutely inedible. The chicken was sitting in a pool of grease, with no crispy coating at all—just soggy, oily breading drenched in flavorless sauce. To make it worse, everything was coated in an artificial bright red dye that looked unappetizing and unnecessary. The entire dish had no flavor, just grease and dye. I took one bite and threw it all out. For the price, this was a complete waste of money. I’ll never order from here again.
