Waitress was attentive to us despite being outside. She would make sure to stop by every now and then to see if we needed more drinks. She even invited us and asked if we would like to see a stand up comedy for free and we obliged to come in. Three and a half years ago my girlfriend and I stopped here and got fries and we are still talking about how amazing those sugar-sprinkled fries were to this day. I forgot the name of the restaurant because it was a one time visit but I spent ten minutes just now investigating just to tell you how much we loved those fries. lol.

Really like this place. Good beers selection and cheap. The staff is friendly, ideal to go after work for drinks. They have a pool table, maybe not a professional one but it definitely does the job. They serve food and it is good overall.

Sometimes, weird is better than good, it's great. But Spotted Owl at its best IS weird and that may be off-putting to many, especially those not ready to deal with a divey East Village crowd. Pool, a rowdy and friendly bar, solid prices... I think it has lots of what makes a bar great. If you're the sort willing to make friends with the bartenders and customers alike, you'll be juuust fine. Just don't expect the Ritz and it'll be perfectly ritzy for you.

Enjoyed a nice chicken parm and my wife had spring wrap. Food was good and what you would expect for the price. Beer was cold and there is a pool table with lots of room to move around and shoot. Over all a nice spot to kill some time and enjoy a beer and some food.

The Spotted Owl has a casual vibe. They have a decent beer selection, the wings are ok. I'm not a fan of breaded wings in sauce because it tends to become soggy. The fries are delicious and seasoned well!

I appreciate the location and the name. The music is also pretty cool. the only thing is the cigarette smell and the martinis aren’t very good. They also serve all alcohol and water out of plastic cups. It’s def a more casual dive bar type vibe. I don’t think i will be back unless by invite but cool experience i suppose!

Fun bar on the east side. It got crowded outta nowhere and was tough to get to the bar for a drink, but if you can go on a slower night it's a great spot. They have a pool table in the back and a couple TVs for entertainment. Drink prices are reasonable for the area. It's a good spot.

Honesty the place is very chill and seems like a nice place. However the bartender clearly lied to us about the prices. She charged us more than what was listed on the company's website. I didn't want to believe it at first but it seems something similar happen to someone based on their Yelp review. Watch out!

Use to have great bartenders, food, and atmosphere but post covid just a poorly run college bar unfortunately as a loss to the local neighborhood. Use to recommend this to new locals, but any other dive bar in the area is worth your money.

Horrible service. came here with a group of 7. 3 out of 7 got drinks while the rest were deciding. were told to hurry up by the heavy set female bartender or else we would be required to leave. disappointed
