Opinions de Thai Terminal New York
This restaurant serves excellent meals and I'm just trying it for the first time. Their team delivers superior experiences. Their portions are generous and tasty. Thai Terminal keeps their standards high consistently. I rate this restaurant beyond the maximum.
The complete package demonstrates true hospitality. oh yes, the people working here are delightful. The setting shows purpose. Thai Terminal delivers on taste and freshness. All aspects deserve praise.
Based on a recommendation, my partner and I went here. Walking to it from Union Square wasn't too terrible on a Monday evening. We were pleasantly surprised by the pride flags and lights outside. It made the place seem more warm and inviting. We were seated right away. My partner and I went through the menu and decided on the chicken & shrimp dumplings along with beef drunken noodles and chicken spicy basil fried rice. Everything was good. The price was something my partner was mindblown by. Definitely stop by if you're in the area. Be careful of the door, it swings both ways (no pun intended).
The lunch special here is incredible value. I wish I’d been paying more attention when I received the pad thai so that I’d have had the sense to take a better picture. Was reading a book, glanced up to say thanks to the server, and went back to reading when I realized “wait a minute, this is a lot of food”. The pic doesn’t really do it justice. The pad thai with beef was excellent.
📍 @thaiterminal EV eats ✨ had lunch with my mama this weekend at the quaintest, most charmed, what NY’ers like to call a “hole in the wall” .. one that you step into and transport to a whole new world of culture, authenticity and good eats 🤫🙏🫶🏼 Thai Terminal located in the East Village is a location worth checking out. Spice levels are on point, dishes are unique in every way - my Panang curry had chunks of 🍍, so yum & details that will keep you smiling through out your dining experience (cutest roses made out of the paper of a straw & 🤎 rice with every dish🥹, I mean, c’mon…..) we indulged! Us girlies had ourselves a fantastic lunch! ✨ 🤎 Classic Thai Iced Tea 🤎 Lychee Thai Iced Tea ✨ Appetizer Sampler: 2 spring rolls, 2 shrimp rolls, 4 tofu cakes & 4 chive cakes - EACH with its own dipping sauce 😉 🦀 rangoons - latest obsession, the creamiest cream cheese I ever did have, 10/10 so good🥹 🍽️ Chicken Panang Curry - both sweet and spicy 🍍🌶️ 🦐 RAMA THAI - steamed mixed veggies in an incredible rich and comforting peanut sauce. 🍨 Fried Honey Banana with Vanilla Ice Cream 🍌 📍 @thaiterminal 349 East 12th Street, New York, NY 10003 Open Daily 12-10PM* Happy Hour 🍸 ALL DAY Monday- Wednesday 12-7 PM Thursday - Sunday #thaiterminal #thaiterminalnyc #thaieats #eastvillage #manhattan #foodie #thaifood #eastvillagenyc #wheretoeat #nyc #nyceats #ilovethaifood #thaifoodnyc
Thai Terminal in the East Village is a hidden gem for classic Thai cuisine at an affordable price. The steamed chicken and shrimp dumplings are an absolute standout, while the coconut shrimp is perfectly crispy and flavorful. I loved the shrimp pad Thai with its perfectly cooked noodles, and the salmon fried rice was loaded with generous chunks of salmon.
Had a fantastic meal at Thai Terminal! Started with Coconut Shrimp and Chive Pancake, both delicious. The Crispy Basil Duck and Drunken Noodle with Shrimp were standout mains, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The Thai Iced Tea and Lychee Thai Iced Tea were refreshing. However, the star of the show was definitely the Mango Sticky Rice, warm, freshly made sticky rice paired with perfectly sweet mango. It’s a simple dessert, but they nailed it, making it a must-try. Highly recommend for authentic Thai flavors in a cozy setting!
Loved this cozy spot! The food I ate here came in a decent portion for the price and everything I ate here was under $20 each. They also have a good lunch special that’s pretty affordable as well. The food was really yummy and I really liked the decor here. I also saw that they had a great happy hour deal $4 on beer or wine after 4:30pm everyday with a purchase of food. I will definitely be coming back here for their happy hour next time!
Thai Terminal is a true gem! We started with the Appetizers Sampler (2 Spring Rolls, 4 Fried Tofu,4 Chive Pancake, 2 Shrimp Rolls) and Chicken Satay – everything was so flavorful! I especially loved the Chive pancake😋 For our mains, we had the Kao Soi Noodle with its rich yellow curry broth and an array of toppings. The Green Curry with Duck was a standout with duck pieces in a spicy green chili paste, bamboo, eggplant, and basil. The Drunken Noodle with Shrimp featured perfectly cooked shrimp and spicy, stir-fried flat noodles with a medley of veggies. Dessert was the Mango Sticky Rice, a perfect sweet ending. Our drinks – Mango Saketini, Mango Sticky Rice , and Thai Iced Tea – were all refreshing and sweet. *** Happy Hour at 4:30PM *** $4 Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet, Sapporo Draft Beer. The service was amazing – attentive, friendly, and quick. Great food, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere. Highly recommend!
We went to this place for lunch special on Thursday afternoon. Their lunch special includes appetizer, salad and entree. We ordered two lunch special including thai spring roll, steamed vegetable dumplings and for mains drunken noodles and spicy basil friend rice. The portion was really good and we got Thai Iced tea extra to go which this delicious spicy lunch. The vibe and decor is amazing and the service is fast. I would highly recommend this place for good food and amazing vibe

Got the drunken noodles which lacked the true undertones this dish is known for (no pepper berries, barely any fresh herbs such as Asian basil… but salt… and then more salt). The food might’ve gotten 3 stars (maybe even 4 if everything else had compensated) but it left a bad taste in my mouth that we were charged an extra $1.50 for our iced tea (on top of the regular $4 price). Why? Bc I asked for no ice. This felt tacky and petty. Who charges extra bc you DONT want something? I’ve never had it happen, esp since it was served in a very small glass and it’s non-alcoholic. And if they’re going to do it, ok at least disclose it. Be transparent. List it in your menu price. Or tell me verbally: “if you want no ice, we tack on an extra charge.” Look, $1.50 is a small fee, it’s symbolic, but it’s the tactic that felt like a “gotcha” moment… haha, found a secret way to charge you extra and you won’t even know it till you’re done and it’s too late. It felt very “nickle and dime you.” They may have gotten an extra $1.50 but they certainly lost a returning customer
Thai food for real? Hair in the dish??? We walked in this Thai restaurant randomly. Most of the employees are having a break and eating, which I fully understand. But we waited for 30mins in the table so we finally decided to take out bc it took too much time. And after we got home we just found we ordered some junk…can anyone believe it took half an hour to have this kind of thing???thai food for real??? And this is not even the worst thing when we found a strand of hair in it…The worst Thai restaurant I’ve ever had.
I have been eating at this restaurant off and on for years. I came in for lunch today and literally was only able to eat two bites before the food made me sick. They did not offer to make me a different meal and charged me the full price. When I explained to the server how long I’ve been eating here and that the food literally was making me sick, they said if you don’t pay for it, I will have to -we don’t care. I said you could easily offer to make me a different dish, I’ve been coming here for years, and she said ‘goodbye’. I asked for take away containers because they charged me full price(had I known the restaurant had become racist and ableist I would have just walked out), my intention was to give it to someone but obviously something is wrong with the food if it’s making me sick so I of course did not pack and take it. So if you want to be ill, and if you’re Black, & want some racism from this particular employees, by all means come here for some horrible tasting food.
