Sauce on the Creek

This place was pretty cool. Mother’s eating pasta, children eating pizza and dad’s chilling with a drink was very inviting to me. Our waiter (I forget his name) but was on it ok. The food was great.. honestly the salmon with the mash tators was a winner!! It’s a must try and I will be back for more.

Wow - so glad we found Sauce on the Creek. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable, the staff was attentive, and the food was so worth it. They’re social-distancing their tables and the staff has their mask on the entire time. We ordered the surf and turf special, family size ravioli of the day, family size Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail and were impressed with all. The family size can definitely fully satisfy 3 people but the portions overall were pretty big. The standout of the night was the shrimp cocktail...by far the best I’ve ever had. They used jumbo shrimp and grilled them, which I’ve never had it done like that before. So simple but yet something we’ve never tried. The surf and turf was a wagyu steak and scallops, both cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. It had a side of charred broccolini which complimented the dish well. The family size ravioli of the day was a tomato, spinach and cheese ravioli in a bolognese sauce with charred brussel sprouts and shaved parmesan. We couldn’t finish it all but, again, everything was perfectly cooked and you can tell they know how to make pasta. Highly suggest coming here. Great for families, date nights, and everything in-between.

The four of us decided to stop here and have a drink. We ended up ordering several appetizers since it was Happy Hour and then a full meal because the food was so delectable 😋. The Rigatoni and Sausage was fantastic. We also enjoyed the house salad and The Big Tony, which is meatballs, marinara and parmesan and was excellent as well. Three of us ordered the house Pinot Grigio and it was surprisingly very good. Our server was John S and he was so personable and provided outstanding service!!! Scott J, the bartender, was also personable and funny 👍. We sat outside on the patio and had a great time! We'll definitely be going back here during our weeks stay in Avon😁

This spot was AMAZING!! We were greeted by a kind, smiling face. Our waiter David kept us laughing! He was very friendly and enhanced our experience. Let’s now talk about the food! It was DELISH!

Love this place ...Ross is a great leader for the organization. Get the meatball sandwich and ckam chowder!

I can't remember the name of our waiter..the older gentleman but his service was amazing! It's great to visit a place with outstanding service. The bolognese pasta was absolutely delicious. The margherita pizza was a bit lacking ..with no basil. My spritz was good too. Will definitely return!

Our family eats in at the restaurant often and this was our first time ordering delivery (ordered via toast app and delivered via uber). Pizzas and pastas and dessert were delivered accurately and within the quoted time. Will definitely order delivery again, super convenient. P.S. the Chocolate torte and cannolis are the best!!

Loved this place! It’s definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Best of all they have plenty of parking. All of our food was delicious!

Great food and service with a mountain view away from the big crowds of the main area of Avon. Supremo Applewood smoked bacon, sausage, wild mushrooms, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, red sauce. Caprese Salad Seasonal tomatoes, moist burrata, basil, balsamic reduction.

Amazing food! Great service! With every bite we just said WOW!! Highly recommend Rose sauce!! We were a group of 11 people who went for a dinner here. John was our server there. His hospitality was so cordial!! Not a single chance of disappointment! Kudos to Sauce on the Creek! Keep it up!!

Best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had, great homemade mix. We had the rigatoni sausage dish and penne alla vodka, and both dishes were just as the name says, saucy! Nothing’s worse than dry pasta and this was stellar. We got a little bit of sliced bread to dip it in and it was perfect.

Excellent food. The pizza dough and sauce is made in house, and they use freshest ingredients. They have live music every Sunday. They have happy hour from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. There is an outdoor patio with games. Free parking and it easy in/off the freeway.

Wow. This place was great. Food was great. All sorts of wine and liquors. Service was great. Definitely will return.

Amazing pasta, excellent service. We were visiting for 3 days, and ate there every day. They have a great happy hour with 10.00 plates and wine specials. We highly recommend Sauce.

Great food, excellent service! We left another local Italian restaurant because it was so loud we would have been screaming to have a conversation. This place was perfect! Our server, Romina, absolutely made our evening delightful! She was so patient answering all our questions, made wonderful recommendations and always had a smile. The cheesy garlic bread was great. We shared the Penne alla Vodka with shrimp and scallops. It was delicious!! If we are ever in the area again we would definitely come here and ask for Romina!

Good lunch spot with a variety of daily specials, dinner is also good for a nicer spot.

The team was providing great service!! It was busy and the staff was on top of it. Our server was hustling and doing a great job with her section. The atmosphere is great! The food was absolutely delicious and timing was perfect. We enjoyed the meatballs, Italian wedding soup, and the chicken parm!! Brussel sprouts were phenomenal and a great portion size!! Highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back!

We had dinner tonight and it was pretty busy for in between seasons, the staff was definitely running around to keep up. Jim did an amazing job even though it was clear he was slammed. Food was great definitely recommend it.

Took a chance after seeing a sign near the interstate. Reviews were all good so my wife and I went. Our means consisted of Bruschetta, penne bolognese, and carnivore pizza. Well let me tell you that I have never had a better pizza in my life. My wife said her meal was top 10 of all restaurants meals she ever had. And living in New Orleans that says volumes. The service was extremely satisfying as well. Plenty of leftovers too. These guys are getting it right folks. Great job Sauce….great job.

Our server Myra was helpful in navigating the menu. We especially enjoyed hearing stories from Myra about her world travels and her time in Colorado. Food was excellent. Our first time here and we would very much like to come back.

My carry out order for chicken parm took longer than anticipated, but well worth the wait. The manager apologized for the wait as she hand me my food. The portion was nice sized and very tasty. I even ate the green beans that came as a side and I generally don’t like green beans.

We pass through town about once every six months. Service is great as always. Olivia has been our waitress every time. She remembers us and is an amazing waitress. Highly recommend this place.

The bar and atmosphere are nice. We got arancini which was good. The red sauce is nice. Had a cheese pie and it was good. Also had a blackberry lemonade cocktail and they were tasty. I was not thrilled about the PIF, but I’ll likely be back to try some of the other menu items. Thanks.

All in all, great place and no complaints! Gluten free options! We loved the location and vibe of the restaurant. The wine was really good and the caprese pizza was delicious! I have celiac so I am very familiar to gluten free pastas and pizzas. This honestly wasn't my favorite gluten free Alfredo. It was a smaller portion than I anticipated, for the price and it was rather bland. I would have loved a little more flavor like salt, or herb or something in the sauce. All in all though, great experience. I do recommend!

They offer a unique take on classic Italian food. The soup and spicy ravioli we're not to my taste, but the family liked the spaghetti marinara, pizza margherita, and eggplant appetizer. The location is convenient for those heading home from skiing, the service was good and so was the ambience...which helps justify the high price a bit.

Anne was great. Very friendly and attentive. The caprase salad and chicken parm were yummy. Unfortunately, the pasta and green beans were over cooked and a bit mushy. The cheesecake with berry compote was divine.

Update: I bumped up to 4 star as I am appreciative that the owner acknowledged and replied to my post. It shows good engagement and a desire to do the right thing. Very much appreciated. Original post: The guy at the front counter was very nice. Unfortunately, our waiter didn’t introduce himself. Basically walked up to us and he said, what do you want to eat? no-name. No recommendations. When we needed a minute he just walked away. Pizza and pasta were tasteless. Ice cream was the best thing on the menu. This place has potential, but would not return again anytime soon.

Presentation was great! Ingredients for pizza and Pasta were fresh, shrimp and scallops were cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. Not a 5 star because as beautiful and fresh as the plates were, they surprisingly lacked flavor.

Casual decor and chill vibe, service was good. Hubby and I came in for dinner during our recent snowboard trip at Beaver Creek. We start with the Chopped Salad, Shrimp Scampi with Butter Garlic White Wine Sauce, and shared the Linguine & Clams with Spicy White Wine Sauce (creamy not the classic style). Over all food was okay, nothing stands out nor wow me. At least we tried this place but won’t eager to come back again on our next snowboard trip.

Ate at Sauce on the Creek, a modern Italian spot with a rustic look—though some of the décor (like the roof tiles) leaned more busted than stylish. Our server, Mayra, was quick and tried her best, but it was clear they were short-staffed. Service took a hit because of that. Food was decent, not bad, but nothing memorable enough to pull me back. Decent one-time experience, but that’s about it. Drinks were not worth $15 you can tell by presentation there was little to no effort so stick to a call beverage like Jameson on the rocks that’s hard to mess up.

We got the brussel sprouts and bruschetta which were both good but i think a little under salted. The chicken parm was pretty good i would give it alone a 4. My wife really liked the marinara sauce. The penne vodka and meatballs were both really bland definitly under salted and seasoned

The flavors are pretty generic. Nice atmosphere. Our server was pretty hip and friendly. We sat at a small table in the bar area. They were out of the wonderful sounding gelato. Breckenridge Bourbon Salted Caramel Gelato.

The place was nice but the food was overpriced for what we got. I love penne alla vodka, but the one here did not taste like the regular sauce normally would. The dish tasted okay. The portion size was for one person, which is disappointing considering the dish was $34. The Brussels sprouts also could have been caramelized better. Not worth the price.

Have been here many times. Always good. Tonight, $50 for a take out sausage pasta. Bin of soggy pasta with barely any sausage. Perhaps their product is declining.

I don’t like to put bad reviews. But what I lived and observed gives me to comment on it. I came in alone to eat and changed places because my back hurt, the next few minutes the manager (adult woman) came very rude and moved me. After I had moved, a disabled person entered with paralysis and I noticed that the manager could not give him an appropriate place and from my perspective he did not take it seriously. If it weren’t for her manager who is an adult woman, the staff and the food are excellent. Their waiters and baristas were friendly, the margarita and pizza delicious. Too bad that someone who leads them is someone without a sense of service, without customer experience and rude. Dedicating yourself to the restaurant service always requires generating a good service, having experience in leading with circumstances,being subtle and polite with customers.

Very disappointing. When I first got there, I got the feeling they didn't want business. They had the patio closed even though it was great weather, so we ordered pizza and gelato to go. As for the food, to start off they got our order wrong. Even if it would have been right, the pizza was gross. What they did put on the pizza was odd (full garlic cloves) and the crust was burned on the edges and undercooked in the middle. The gelato tasted ok, but they didn't give us much. To sum up, bad service and the worst pizza I've had in years. Store bought frozen would have been far better. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I’m giving one star because the server was kind. I only did a take out order so minimal interaction but she was nice. ….sadly the food, for the second time again, was a huge letdown. All I ordered was a pizza this time being in a second chance And it came out so burnt can’t even eat it ruined the whole flavor of it. It’s extremely frustrating having to pay over $20 for a small BURNT pizza. I don’t recommend

I used to go here a long time ago and I couldn’t remember why I stopped. Now I remember, the food is grossly overpriced. I paid $38, $50 with tip and taxes for a basic fettuccine Alfredo. The fact that sauce can’t even bother with putting seasonings or mushrooms to make it any more different it’s hilarious. This place is your typical tourist gouger. Nobody will read these kinds of reviews and they will still get the business. This is another restaurant in the vail area that doesn’t care about quality but only profit margins. Also, this is a corporate owned business with several other locations and types of businesses. They don’t care about anything but your money. I wish this place would actually care about quality. It would be better if they shutdown and someone else came in.

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience tonight. Everything was perfectly fine until a party of about 10 adult men (with some high school–aged boys) was seated next to us. We had two small children and a baby — completely appropriate for a 6:15pm reservation at a loud, family restaurant. Toward the end of our meal, our baby was tired and cried for about 10 minutes while we wrapped up. At that point, three men from the neighboring table — who had clearly been served multiple rounds of drinks — interrupted us to verbally harass us. Comments like “You need to get that baby out of here,” “Shame on you for bringing a baby,” and “This is torture for us” were directed at our family. They were loud, aggressive, and even encouraged their sons to join in. What did management do? Nothing. In fact, while this was happening, another full tray of drinks was delivered to their table mid-harassment. Servers and management turned away and continued service as if nothing was happening. Multiple other families stopped by our table to offer support — complete strangers recognizing how inappropriate this was — yet staff remained silent. One server quietly whispered, “I’m sorry about this,” as we left. That was the only acknowledgment we received. If you’re a family, I would strongly reconsider dining here. There are plenty of other options. When management tolerates — or effectively enables — this kind of behavior, it’s simply not worth the risk of having your evening ruined, as ours was. Edit in response to owner reply: totally understand it was a difficult situation. Take the context out of it: you had one table verbally harassing another who was simply enjoying their dinner. You only have a tough time deciding who was at fault because we had a baby crying, so even Steven in your mind I guess?? Not the right approach for a family restaurant. There are options: offer to reseat the table who is so offended by a baby at a family restaurant, offer to reseat us, buy everyone drinks to calm the situation, etc. Silence is unacceptable.

Our first time here and our waiter was nice enough but the salads and entrees came out all at once and took a long time with many open tables. Also two things we ordered came out wrong and our family entree was so insanely salty it was like they used a salt-cured fish technique... for Chicken Marsala. Thankfully he took it off the check. Doubtful we'll make it back in here on our many ski trips and we wanted to love it :(
