Family style Mexican Restaurant, with such a warm welcome from the moment you walk into the door. The owner and his team were very accommodating. My party had 10 of us an hour before closing and had a very short wait. We will definitely be back soon. Bonus: the horchata was AMAZING 10/10 highly recommend!

To me, it wasn't like a Pepe's, King Taco, or Alberto's. It was way better on my behalf. Better attention to the quality of food and their customers. Taste great as well. The owner is well respected in the community, friendly, and it's also one of the hostesses. Overall, it was a great place for lunch, dinner, or breakfast.

Real nice Mexican restaurant. Great atmosphere, although very high noise level. We sat next to a large family party with some young kids that were a bit loud. Reasonable prices, service was fast and efficient, and meals were very tasty and huge portions. There was about a 10-minute wait before we sat which was very reasonable. I had the Grilled Chicken salad, and my wife and son got the burritos, which portions were huge on all three which we all took home with us. Plus, the Sangria was good and tasty

We really enjoyed our time here! We came on a Friday night and called ahead since there were 14 of us. After a long day of hiking, we really needed a big meal and this restaurant was perfect! Service was outstanding. The food was delicious!

The decor is pretty cool, two floors and the customer service is excellent. I had the carne asada and pork pozole and they were both delicious. The bar side looks great and fun at night. I definitely recommend this spot. I just had the beef enchiladas and they were awesome.

Delicious and generous amount of food. This Mexican restaurant is located in the old Town Azusa. The building was old and beautiful with un upstair dinner room with street views. The main dining area was big with many unique characters. The food was plenty and delicious. I ordered a shrimp with garlic sauce. The shrimps were big and solid, not like those farm raised shrimps and would shrink after cooking tremendously. The garlic sauce was special and tasty. They also serve rice and beans and they are delicious too. The service was quick and good. Even though it got loud since the birthday parties were going on, but I like the noise when I see a lot of people are happy and enjoy themselves. I certainly will come back to this restaurant again and try different dishes.

The restaurant is clean and friendly environment. The staff are nice and serviced focus on customer. The food is nice but rice is dry and very spicy sauce. They don't have salsa less spicy, too bad. The meat from chile verde could cook a little more tender.

We love Max's! As soon as you walk in the door they make you feel like an old friend whose come back for a visit "Where you been?!" The food is always delicious..and of course when you ask for another cocktails it's always "Why not?!"

We find pleasure in visiting this establishment, as the service is consistently excellent. The cuisine is undeniably authentic. On this occasion, we ordered the small Cosido, and it proved to be quite a generous portion. Furthermore, their Margaritas are quite delightful. A particularly charming aspect of this place is that the owner frequently takes the time to personally greet each table.

This place is your standard Mexican-American spot. I will say, I enjoyed the carnitas burrito. The atmosphere is worth coming in by itself. Service was good. Overall, if you're looking for a decent spot with a good vibe, look no further.

A real Mexican restaurant with a real Mexican menu. Yes, they serve chile verde and it comes with “nopalitos!” If you want them. We arrived at 10:00 AM and were told there would be a 20-minute wait. That seemed fine — until 20 minutes turned into over an hour. When we were finally called, we had to wait another 30 minutes just for them to clean the table. Once seated, we were told there were two large parties ahead of us and were rushed to place our order. We did as asked, yet still waited another 45 minutes for our food. The cocktails were warm and poorly mixed, and when the food finally arrived, it was bland and disappointing. The service felt unorganized and the staff seemed overwhelmed and dismissive. After such a long wait and poor quality food, it’s safe to say this experience was not worth it. I do not recommend this restaurant.
