Food is decent for beach food, but on the pricier side. Staff are all fantastic (friendly, helpful, outgoing). Overall, I really like coming here when the weather is good. Only thing to look out for is the parking lot is managed by the Town of Babylon and they charge to park if it’s before like 4 or 5 pm. I think it’s $40… we try to arrive right when the paid parking ends.

The atmosphere for the beachside establishment is in line. As for food, it's just a little weak. If you don't go here for gastronomic delights, then ok. In general, the place is not bad and pretty.

We had a great experience at Salt Shack! We went for the beach and the food, and ended up really enjoying the live music as well. We ordered some seafood, including calamari and wings both were delicious. The service took a little while since there was a line, but while waiting, we chatted with one of the managers who was incredibly kind and friendly. It really added to the experience. Overall, it was a fantastic spot to relax, meet new people, enjoy good food, and have a great time in a lively, beachy atmosphere.

First time at Cedar Beach and enjoyed every bit of it! A staycation that felt like an actual vacation. It was about an hour drive from Howard Beach for us but we get a room Friday night-Sunday close y so we don’t have to drive further and explore the town a bit. Entry for non-residents is $40 and free for Babylon residents but totally worth it. Just be sure to arrive earlier, it can get busy and while parking is ample, it can fill up. The beach itself and Salt Shack is clean and well taken care of. Salt Shack was such a lively and fun vibe. Plenty of outdoor seating on the sand with comfortable seats or picnic tables. Plenty of drink and food options. The staff are great, just overall great visitors and people all around. Definitely the go-to for weekends during the Summer!

My wife, daughter and I hung out here for a little bit while our other daughter was at concert at the Jones Beach amphitheater. Really cool vibe and atmosphere even in the gloomy light rainy night. Expansive decks and levels (covered and uncovered). Stage was big enough to accommodate a 9(?)piece band (that 70s band) Several bars throughout, snack food offerings. A little bit of a hike down to the beach past the dozens of volleyball courts, but well worth it.

Highly recommend this place for the family. Enjoy the music and the good vibes. The staff always seem to keep the place cleaned. The woman's bathroom has an attendant. Security staff were all around and very friendly. Fully staffed bars.

Everything was great! The food, the atmosphere, the band, the ambiance. The food could use a little garnishing and my lobster roll needed a little help but overall everything was good. Our drinks were delicious. The entertainment was absolutely amazing!

Had a blast we went to see Somethin Fresh Band perform and we partied until close. It was packed but very festive. The bar looked full but they took care of us quick. There were a lot of workers. Also the upstairs bar was much less crowded for the second round. I loved how they had the securities posted all around and they were easily identifiable. The food smelled good too but I didn't get a chance to go buy. Will be back for sure.

I didn't give 5 on food because I'm not a fried food fan in general. It was a little to much like fast food for me personally. The bar here is great I would give them a 6* if that option was here. They have a good amount of seafood options. They're is no table service. If you go small children someone will need to pick up the food. I went to see a great band. I'm sure they were called Mystic. It's a safe place with some of the staff being security. They have bathrooms indoor and some port o potties outside. All around it's got a great vibe. It is on the beach so at night you have s nice view. The biggest set back is it cost 5 of us $200 to get in before 4pm. I support local musicians do i got over it. With my food and drink order it was like a $100. I don't drive and like i said they had great drinks.

This is a very popular spot that's right on the beach. The atmosphere is pretty fun and the best part is the live music. The band is pretty good, and there's also a dj that plays in between sets. The crowd here is pretty diverse, with everyone just having a good time dancing and enjoying the music. The lines for drinks and food are separate and are usually pretty long. I was not particularly impressed with the food, I got chicken fingers and French fries, and my friend got a wrap with sweet potato fries. The drinks were OK. If you come earlier in the day you'll will. need to pay $40 for parking, which is probably why it's so crowded later at night when the parking is free.

Food was pretty good, although portions for the price were not the biggest. It tasted well, but nothing extraordinary (nor it is supposed to be in a beach bar, but still, it's rather expensive). Cocktails were completely mediocre. What I really liked though is a place itself and the fact they have live music every weekend.
