Wonderful little restaurant. Their house bread and crispy tortillas is a great way to start the meal. My spicy Cabinita cocktail was delightful. They had delicious table made guacamole and super crispy tortilla chips. The tortilla soup was also fantastic and my octopus was extremely tender. Anna was a great server too.

We went there for dinner and shared a few starters along with a main dish. The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. The only downside was the music—it was a bit too loud for a dinner setting. Still, we'd definitely go back!

Amazing restaurant- really good atmosphere, decor and music for a chilled but high class dining experience. Every course we had was amazing as was the service, especially watching the guacamole be made in front of us! Definitely worth a visit- would highly recommend!

Wow… wow… if you are in Bacalar, you have to grab lunch or dinner at La Cabañita. The food and cocktails were incredible! We went there for a late ish lunch and the place was for ourselves which was great! The Piña Colada is to die for and we had the Salmon Rosado and the Cerdo with Mole and wow… incredible!!!! The combination of flavours was unreal!!! The portions are very generous and flavour is incredible. So happy to have come across this gem! Thanks to Juciel who was an amazing host!! Don’t hesitate to pay them a visit if you are thinking of going to Bacalar!

This restaurant was great! The food, service and atmosphere were exactly what we wanted. The prices were very reasonable considering the level of quality and presentation. The seafood was so fresh and the portion sizes for all dishes were enormous! We had the table side guacamole , the Peruvian ceviche which was so delicious, and then we had the pasta which was handmade fettuccini with tons of shrimp, we also had coconut shrimp and mashed potatoes, and the NY strip with grilled potatoes, onions peppers, and the creamy spinach and cheese. This place did not disappoint at all! I highly recommend it!

Amazing food. We came for lunch, bizarrely we were the only people there. Loved the bread on the house - lovely tacos of different colours with different sauces. The chorizo starter was really tasty. My tuna main was mind blowing - so good! Incredible heritage carrots. My partner’s burger was really well executed. Salsa picante - wow! Great cooking and presentation, very well priced. Thanks!

They really deserve a 5 star review! Finally a place that combines outstanding food and drinks, with a nice atmosphere and very attentive staff. The cocktails have very good sizes and the overall amount of food you get, won’t let you leave hungry. My favorite restaurant in Bacalar!

We had such an incredible night! It really makes the dining experience that much more enjoyable when the staff are happy and passionate about their work and their food! Saul was fantastic! I could not speak more highly about all the beautiful staff at La Cabañita. The cocktails were some of the best we’ve had during our month in Mexico. I loved the fact that the guacamole is made right in front of you and that the avocados come from the tree growing at the restaurant. Doesn’t get any fresher than that and it tasted amazing! The salmon was my personal favourite, all the flavours worked so well together. 10/10 I recommend paying a visit when you’re in Bacalar!

I had the coconut shrimp and my travel partner had the rib eye. Both were fantastic (but be warned the ribeye was huge and came with a MOUNTAIN of mashed potatoes. Alex our waiter was great

I will not got back to this restaurant due to back service. Food was great but the waiter never came to table after our order. We needed more drinksdue to the lack of service, I was not able to order the drinks. I would go somewhere else.

Not worth the hype, service is bad - were out of a lot of food options and they didn’t advise us when bringing the menu (out of pasta, out of pizza, out of lobster…). All tables apart from ours got a starter on the house, again no explanation. Too much meat to little vegan or vegetarian options and music too loud.
