El lugar es muy cómodo para una comida familiar, la comida es deliciosa al igual que sus bebidas además de ser económico y con buenas porciones, la atención es excelente aunque se tardan un poco en traer los alimentos, pero vale completamente la pena, sin duda un lugar recomendado en tu viaje a Bacalar.

Excelente lugar para comer ceviche, aguachile y tostadas de camarón. El encargado es súper atento, siempre al pendiente de todo, nos regaló hasta una cerveza 🫢 Muy rico todo, excelente sazón. De verdad dense una vuelta por este restaurante.

Nos dejamos guiar por las reseñas y la verdad es que no mentian, un lugar en donde la comida y la atención son excelentes, les recomiendo el ceviche grande, (que en realidad es gigante jaja) y los camarones al mojo de ajo 10/10

Este lugar tiene las 3 B, es bonito, es buenisimo y es barato. Sus precios son más que razonables, se agradecen en un área ahogada por el turismo extranjero, la comida es riquisima y la atención inmejorable. Recomiendo los camarones fritos y el ceviche, estuvo todo delicioso. El agua de horchata estaba riquisima, casera, como esas que ya casi no se encuentran. Una joya de Bacalar, bien mexicana.

Efectivamente es una joya escondida en la zona habitacional de Bacalar, gran servicio y el sabor buenismo! No le pide nada a los restaurantes caros o más famosos, por el contrario, supera gratamente todas las espectativas. El ceviche, el aguachile y el caldo de camarón están al nivel de los grandes restaurantes del país. Felicidades a Javier y a su equipo, siempre atentos y dispuestos a consentir a sus clientes!

Un rinconcito con sabor a Bacalar, el lugar tiene una vibra súper local, con atención amable y un ambiente tranquilo ideal para relajarse después de recorrer la laguna. Pedí el coctel de camarones y estuvo espectacular: fresco, bien preparado y con ese toque justo de picante que se agradece en el calor, los precios son justos y las porciones generosas, perfecto para quienes buscan buena comida sin pretensiones y con mucho sabor, sin olvidar también la deliciosa agua de tamarindo.......Totalmente recomendable

Uno de los mejores aguachiles que he probado en mi vida, súper fresco, buenísima relación cantidad-precio-calidad, también tienen muy buenos preparados de micheladas, desde que lo descubrimos se volvió nuestra parada obligatoria para comer en Bacalar a un excelente precio.

A little further away from the city centre but highly suggested! We had dinner here early December 2025. We were greeted with a smile and had the restaurant to ourselves. We ordered two types of fish for the main. As we were in low season, the owner mentioned the fish were caught two days ago and were then frozen. Obviously, as we were in low season, it doesn’t make sense for the owner to catch/buy in lots of fish and not sell in a realistic period of time. Even though it was frozen, it tasted fine and we digested without any problems. Would 100% come back in the future! Just bring some bug spray. Great value for money with amazing service !

Went to visit Bacalar from Tulum for a day trip and we got hungry. Googled “Mariscos near me” and saw it had good reviews. Long story short some of the best seafood we had ever! The Aguachilles was amazing. The owner was nice and took pride in his service to make us feel welcome. Great price for the amount of food we received. Great hospitality. We don’t usually write reviews, but La Chozita earned it! If you’re nearby give it a try and support the business!

We’re very happy that we’ve discovered Vincente’s restaurant soon after our arrival to Bacalar. It is a great experience and all food we tried was delicious - from huge and fresh ceviches, to guacamole, camarones with garlic or chipotle sauce, milanesas or pastor steaks. (Cheladas and drinks too!). If there’s a restaurant you should go to when in Bacalar, this is it. We’re looking forward to come back!

We had the Ceviches Camaron Grande, which was delicious and more than enough for two... but we also ordered the Camaron Al Ajo (garlic shrimp) that was larger prawns in a very tasty garlic butter sauce. We ordered a fresh squeezed lemonade that was also delicious. The service was good and attentive. The price is VERY good, especially for the quality and amount. We highly recommend this place as a must visit. The table beside us ate there yesterday, and came back again today!

We had the aguachile, fish ceviche, fish filet and a fried fish and everything was delicious and very affordable. The portions are quite big and their homemade lemonade is also very good! The owner ads to the ambiance with his open, cracking jokes persona and checks on you regularly. Gorgeous restaurant with fantastic food and a charming owner. We went last night. I had the garlic prawns, my boyfriend had the fish fillet with garlic. They were $160 each and came with rice, chips, and salad. So delicious - highly recommend.

Amazing seafood restaurant run by a very lovely, smiley guy and his family. The one-person ceciche is super generous in portion and very fresh. The marinara spaghetti is tasty and packed with loads of fresh seafood. Price is very reasonable for Bacalar. Such a shame we only found them on our last day here.

Feels like a more local, family-like place, absolutely worth the walk from downtown. Can not recommend enough! Have some cash at hand, and a little Spanish doesn't hurt either. We went to Chozita with our group of nine people. The restaurant was excellent! We had huge delicous ceviche, whole fish and fried fish fillets. All great!! The outside dining room is welcoming and the bathrooms are clean. The service was so nice. We really felt like they wanted us there. The kitchen is small and we were a large group so the food came out a dish or two at a time. This was not a problem for us at all. It is hard to find this restaurant as it is in a residential neighborhood. We found them using their outside sandwich board sign, but drive by them a few times first. Because they are a very small restaurant and we are a large group, we went by in the afternoon to make a reservation. They were ready for us with multiple gracious servers. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We ordered: ceviche mixto, filette empanizada?, and the rice special with combination seafood mix. The food was wonderful! Everything tasted really delicious and clean and it was made with love. It seems that the owners are the chefs here which is based out of their home - it does take some time for the food to get prepared but it was so worth it. BIg portions and AMAZING price for it being located in bacalar, I’d say 20-25% cheaper than other seafood restaurants near by and quality isn’t poor. They gave us free nachos and a soup as appetizer with our meal. If the owner is reading this, hello from Canada… we hope to come back one day.

Tienen un gran sazón, muy rico todo, solo es servicio tarda un poco pero vale la pena la espera. Los platillos de camarones al tamarindo me hubiera gustado que tuviera más porción. Volvería y recomendaría este lugar de aquí.

We ordered the shrimp with rice and the fish and rice. While the shrimp and rice was not so great (too salty and slightly undercooked rice), the fish dish was AMAZING. The fish was HUGE and fried very well, with crunchy on the outside but very moist and soft on the inside. Extremely worth it for the price. Coming from a tropical island it was the best fish dish I had outside of my country:) The owner was also very sweet and quickly went out to buy rice after seeing that we wanted to order the rice dishes even though they had ran out of rice.
