Some of the best Mexican food in town. ((2019)) ((Update)) 2024 Food is still great, but like every thing these past few years the price has gone up and the portions have gone down. It's $40+ take take a date, close to $100 for a family of 5. They are up charging for everything. If you have the money, this place is great. If your on a budget. Go some where else. I would go almost every week, now, I may only go three times in a year. It's sad to see places like this nickel and dime you. Good luck to them.

The 'B' on the door was a warning I did not take. I just wanted a carne asada taco. Something small and familiar I could eat quickly. The inside was nice and comfortable. Of course the TV was blaring mexican news. The taco was decent. Nothing special. Its not like it had some super bomb sauce or anything. It was a decent taco. Fortunately for me, the cucaracha I saw was dead and not causing a distraction by running around.

I remember this place being a lot better than the last visit. There was enough shredded lettuce to feed a small elephant tainting all my food. I got the tacos, rice and beans combo. The bean were whole beans that tasted like they were dumped out of a can and microwaved with no seasoning. They covered everything in cheese but the beans were completely flavorless. The rice was also dry and flavorless. Tacos were the only good part. Service was also friendly.

Its April 2022. The biggest issue with Tacos in Bakersfield is "Authenticity" and "Quality". That being said, my visit to this eatery is is once again being given only 2 stars for its lack of Authenticity and quality. First, the taco is being served with sub-standard meat that is not cooked properly. The meat is of low quality and dry, hard and feels in the mouth as if its been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Second, the 4 tacos shown in the picture were served without chilies and without flavor to speek of. Unfortunatly this is typical of Tacos eateries in this city My advice....Pass on El Taco Loco and make your own at home..

chile verde burrito was new got it and was majorly disappointed not entirely by the burrito but the price. the burrito is worth $12 tops why is it $16.22 for a little burrito filled with barely any meat and majority rice with a few beans. don’t recommend if you want your moneys worth. don’t get me wrong it tasted good but still very skimpy which is just embarrassing

Bad experience order two tortas it. Was cold bread tasted burnt meat hard last time comming to this place the first time was good but this time badd disappointment on top of that had us waiting good minute to get our food just to be cold and burnt

First and last visit unless something drastic changes. Ordered the carne asada torta, what I received was honestly pretty sad. I spent $21 with tax for the #3 combo which came with the torta, 1 taco, and a small drink. The taco al pastor wasn't terribly but definitely wasn't a great al pastor by any means. The torta was the most disappointing item, received it with one tomato on only one side, the same side had cheese but no avocado to be seen. The other half had avocado but no cheese and no tomato on that side. The asada was pretty flavorless and was dry, not to mention there wasn't much of the meat on the torta. They couldn't even be bothered to cut all the way through the torta forcing me to rip the other part of the bread in half. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

this is so disappointing! We used to love this place, but it’s been a bit of a letdown lately. This is the second time we’ve ordered Two Veggie Tortas, and they’re both missing any lettuce.I think this might be the last time we try it. Spending $50 plus for an old torta and stale rice is just not worth it.

65.00 for 4 people and cold beans and little portions especially for a Mexican restaurant. The worker had a lunch break and made her tacos big and looked yummy for herself but for customers it is not as good as the commercial boards that are posted on the freeway .. very disappointing for our money that we spent on this food 🥺

El Pollo Loco has been a long time favorite of mine. I remember a long time ago when when this restaurant was just a food truck and the huge burritos were just $2.50. . .not to date myself. A lot has changed since then, but the quality of the food hasn't. They still use the freshest ingredients, and the food still has the same delicious taste. If you in the area and want the best tasting food then El Taco Loco is a must try. The atmosphere is very clean and the music is soft, and relaxing. My only complaint is I was the first to order my food togo out of 9 guests, and they served all the guests who ordered after me first. They all ate and finished and left and I'm still waiting for my 3 togo burritos. The wait is utterly outrageous and downright disrespectful.

They were gonna charge us $2.17 for more salsa , we said no too expensive! But she assured us that each taco already had salsa,.. well one did not . WAY TO EXPENSIVE.

The speaker at the drive through it’s to high and very small you always have to scream in your order. They take along time to help you. I scratched my car at the drive through because the brush by the speaker is sometimes to big . The food is good but the ride employees make me worried for the quality of my food.

$10+ for three small tacos and an horchata. The sign out front said no credit so i asked if they take debit and they said yes. They ran my card and added a 79 cent ''convenience fee' and i didn't use a pin. Explain how you run debit without a pin. When I asked about this, the employee said 'its on a sign'. Never going back.
