The Cowgirl Cafe in Atascadero is a large restaurant serving a large variety of tasty American food. Our family was there for breakfast and the portions are large and well prepared. Prices are also reasonable and the service is fast and courteous. We will return.

FANTASTIC FOOD, pancakes cooked perfectly! I asked for my eggs over medium, and they were Very Large, perfectly cooked over medium! The Bacon, was nice thick sliced bacon, cooked perfectly! The sausage was also delicious, cooked just right, nothing like the ordinary chain restaurants. FABULOUS SERVICE TOO! I know where to go to get lunch next too!

Breakfast was delicious. They were a little understaffed but the food was great and the servers were very attentive. S.l.o. location is also good. I had the corned beef hash and would definitely recommend to hash lovers.

This is easily the best cowgirl cafe. Food was immaculate. Portions enough for a large man for every dish. If you've been to another cowgirl cafe do yourself a favor and come taste perfection. If you're looking for breakfast this is the place.

We often go here for breakfast, as the food is good with large portions. Friendly staff and always get seated quickly. Lots of parking. Reasonable rates.

Awesome service! 👏 Our server Francisco really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and checked on us multiple times even though it was extremely busy. We will definitely be back because of him.

If you're looking for awesome breakfast I suggest going to cowgirl Cafe. Everything they make there is great. Personally I like to go get the biscuits and gravy with home fries. They Services fast and friendly and the place is always so clean any of the cowgirl locations are awesome place to visit and suggest that you do so soon. Some of the smaller location such as in Paso Robles and get crowded at sometimes but it is definitely worth the wait. Rather you're by yourself or with a group it is definitely worth it.

I love the theme of this place, as a sucker for old time saloons and westerns. The tall ceilings and decor really warm the place. Large portions of food and a great chicken fried steak and crispy hash browns every time. A fantastic diner that is never a let down. However I'd like my coffee refills offered a little more often and the tables to be wiped down a little better. I've sat at sticky table tops a few times here but the food and environment is a must try for any western buff with a big cowboy appetite! Friendly staff. I love it here!

Delicious homemade comfort food with great service and great pricing. We were so tired of the overpriced trendy breakfast spots with their tiny portions. The ham steak and hot links hit the spot! Biscuits & gravy were on point; everything was so good! We'll definitely be back again!

I was seated fast and coffee was in my hand (in a cup) within seconds. The most difficult thing was to decide what to order from the several options. Once the plate arrived, my gut yelled at me to better take it slow but when do I ever listen to my gut when I wanna chow down?!?! It was super delicious and i don't think I will be hungry until dinner time! Thanks for having me, and will see ya again soon!

We stopped in for breakfast not expecting much. What a pleasant surprise! The service was top notch and the food tasted home-cooked. I had a spinach/mushroom/artichoke omelette. The artichokes weren’t just chopped up in the eggs, they were hearty. My partner’s pancakes were fantastic. We both got grits on the side, an uncommon treat. The coffee was perfect. I know people are eating out less these days but I hope the community keeps this gem in business for a long time.

Classic American restaurant with a variety of breakfast. Affordable and cosy

The food was delicious and the servers were very responsive. The strawberry french toast and hash browns were wonderful. The portion sizes were alright, too! However, no one was wearing masks.

Great western atmosphere. Greeted with a big smile, right away. Enjoyed the sr breakfast, best bacon ever! Heidi was our most excellent server. Would have given 5 stars if they had flavored creamer for my coffee.

Always good service and good food. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I was charged $6.95 for 4 slices of bacon! I just thought that was a bit too much. But we will still go back, I'll just be more careful choosing sides first.

Staff were friendly, nothing was BAD, but really not spectacular. Potatos were undercooked, but we did really enjoy the biscuits and gravy. Overall just OK.

While restaurant was busy all the young staff had neutral put out faces that they did not want to be there. Had to wait and ask for our check. Food was just ok, eggs way too well done.

No Air conditioning! The food would have been so much better if the ac worked. 96 degrees, we still had good service but could not sit there and eat any longer. This restaurant is losing good business by not having better AC.

Typical sysco prepared food biscuits and gravy were bland tasted like it came out of a can my nephew ordered a steak breakfast. We had to go to Food 4 Less after as we did not even finish our plates. I think the only thing they made from scratch. There were the cookies they handed out at the counter.

I remember coming here years ago and I remember really liking the food. I came back and I ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was just not good. The gravy did not taste good. I really liked the atmosphere. Though I don’t think I’m gonna come back

Oh my gosh, what a nightmare! It was after my brother's middle school graduation and we went to Cowgirl Cafe for brunch there wasn't a whole bunch of people there and only four people were working in the entire cafe. It took our food 45 minutes! To come out we were going to go to San Luis Obispo since it was packed but unfortunately, the lady said oh no your food will be coming! My dad got a burger and gave him less than 10 fries and somehow my mom a sandwich and she got like 30 fries! I don't get don't these people not proportion sizes I got an omelet and OMG it was terrible. How did these people how do the workers not know what was happening in their community? My mom and dad said this would be the last time were ever coming here!

I hate to say but the food at this place was not good. It tasted nothing like the San Luis Obispo location. I don't know why this chain doesn't have consistency. I ordered the same thing I get from the other location, potato skins vegetarian style. The potato skins were not actually skins, they were just soggy soft potato wedges with no flavor. The potato skins at the other location are deep fried and crispy. The eggs were not done in the same way, like an omelet style. They were just scrambled. The salsa was some store bought salsa that tasted like pace, where the salsa at SLO is home made. It was truly disappointing. Please have consistency at locations and have your cook Jesus from the SLO location train the staff at other locations. The servers were great, the food was tasteless.

So sad to give a 1 star review. This was our second visit the food is great & the bus boys are great. The service was worse this time then the last time. We waited at least 30 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge us. Then we waited more then 30 minutes for our bill & had to ask twice. 😢

They stereotype. My mother went in there to use the bathroom and they told her no because she looked "homeless" and I was in the other store buying something about to come in and eat lunch but then she told me what happened. And I went in there told them we wanted to eat but my mom told me what happened and I was telling the waitress they cant discriminate. And then they asked us to leave. I wouldn definitely not go there if your a person of color, Jewish like we our, or "look homeless or rough".
