Moretti's - Barrington

Awesome layout, food was great but service was slow. Friend I went with, said it was the same the other time he was here. So I would say put your orders in early if you're in a hurry.

New Life Resale held their Christmas Party for the volunteers. Kim and Colleen catered to their every need. Attending to their beverages, food inquiries and showing them where the restroom was. The food was so delicious with appropriate portions. Kim did a fabulous job on creating a Christmas theme with all of her pretty decorations. These gals rocked on customer service in all areas. New Life Resale will be using Moretti's for the Christmas party in 2026.

I recently was at a party for New Life Resale for Christmas at Moretti‘s in Barrington and I had a wonderful experience. The staff was awesome. They were right there giving water and everything to drink and the food was wonderful. I really really had a nice time and I would certainly go back as a customerwith my friends.

I went to a work party here servers were amazing at checking on us. Food was great and it was a fun atmosphere.

We were in town for the dog UKI Invitational for the week and stopped here to eat. The atmosphere was great and it was pretty busy. HARRISON was our waiter and he was AWESOME, he worked his butt off taking care of everyone in his area and was very polite and respectful and professional, you could tell he wanted your experience to be great. For a young gentleman to show this kind of work ethic was great to watch. The food came out fast and was VERY GOOD especially for how busy they were. Thanks Bob

Morettis is our favorite place to go. The food is always reasonably priced and delicious. In the 20 years I have gone there I have never had anything bad.

This is their flagship! Beautiful inside and the tried and tested food like all the other stores. Love it.

Pizza was amazing, cheese and crunch, and they were patient with my wild children 😀

I came in the other day while visiting family and had Dylan as my server. He did an incredible job. He recommended food that all of us loved. We had the fried calamari, meatballs, and bruschetta for the table, with a Deep Dish pizza. He walked us through everything made sure drinks stayed full and even gave us ideas for what to do in the city. One of my favorite parts of my trip. Thanks Dylan!

We had a great experience at Moretti’s. Our server Maeve really knew the menu and gave us thoughtful recommendations that we ended up loving. She was attentive without hovering and checked in at just the right times. Overall, such a great night with genuinely great service. We’ll definitely be back!

I had an amazing experience dining here. My friends and I were celebrating valentine’s day but with the girls and we had an outstanding server named Faith. She was sweet, funny, fast and made us all laugh a lot!! She’s a sweetheart. The food and cocktails where great.

Went in last night for pizza and it was awesome! Our servers name was Maeve and she was outstanding! She was super friendly and went above and beyond for our family! We plan on coming back again soon, it was the best time!

We came here for our Valentine’s Day dinner and I have to say I was beyond impress With the food and the staff. Dylan was our server and he was so attentive. When we asked about the surf and turf meal he really knew his stuff. I can tell the managers really work well with their staff and their knowledge. I also noticed the two blonde waitresses and another in a pink top that seemed to really be working as a team. All around this is a diamond here in Barrington and we will definitely be back !

Absolutely love this place! Great atmosphere, great food, and great service! Our server, Dylan, was fantastic, he helped us choose the perfect meal and paired it with amazing drinks. Everything was spot on from start to finish. I highly recommend checking this place out!

I always love coming here. The last time my friends and I went we had Isabelle as our server. She was OUTSTANDING!! She made sure our food was good and that our drinks were full. She made our experience 100x better!!!

Isabelle was my server and she made the experience 10x better!! Her attitude and service was amazing, will be back! She also made me a drink at the bar at another visit and it was delicious!

This is my favorite Morettis location. The food and the service are both outstanding. I was there last week with a group. Maeve and Isabelle were awesome! Really made it a great experience for us. Will return again.

Wow wow wow! I had the pleasure of dinning in with a server named Maeve. I have to say she was the best I have ever experienced. So attentive to my table and had a very positive attitude. She made me wanna come back!!! A great representation of the restaurant, she needs a raise! Food was great but service was even better.

We had such a wonderful experience at Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria thanks to our server, Maeve! She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel extremely welcomed from the moment we sat down. Maeve knew the menu well, gave great recommendations, and checked in at all the right times without ever being overbearing. Her positive attitude truly elevated our dining experience. We’ll definitely be back and will be asking for Maeve again!

Food was great...Service was not the best. We did have an issue with one of the drinks too. Pizzas were yummy, and the cheese bread was amazing!

Enjoy Tuesdays half off pizza. Last time I was there I had an appetizer that was huge so had to take pizza home after only having a few slices. Pizza was good at lunch the next day!

Went for bingo night (free) and it was also half price pizza night! Food was good, service was a little slow but could’ve been due to number of people vs staff. Will be back!

We were there to celebrate a friendship farewell party. The food and service was buffet style, so the review is based on that. Food was great while service was average. Atmosphere was great as well , very sporty...

We hosted a party in the private room, managed by Kim who with her many years of experience was able to keep track of the details that made the party a success. From tending bar to keeping an eye on the food needs, plus small details like fetching a high chair, she was amazing. Thanks to Alex for managing the room booking and the audio visual, very accommodating overall. I'd recommend hosting a party here, it's a great venue.

Our crabby waiter (who was already in a bad mood when we got there) walked out in the middle of service on our table of 6 and never returned! We basically could have just left but I finally got up and went and got someone to help us. The new person we got was very nice and apologized, but even so how could the restaurant not know about this?! We were offered nothing for the inconvenience which I thought was weird. On a good note, we’ve been here a couple of other times and have had outstanding service. It’s just a shame that we suggested to come here with guests this time and had a bad experience.

I have mixed reviews for this restaurant. I was there a week ago and we had great service, our waitress Hayley was awesome! The food tasted actually good. When we order dessert, the brownie with ice cream, they were out of it. I don't understand why they make a DAILY SPECIALS menu if it's the same for a very long time! If they don't offer something new then don't call it daily specials with dates on it. At the front is always Jung girls and some of them are not friendly and gave me a bad attitude. I place an order for pick up, the app/website had a time where it says I can go pick up my food. Which was already 30 min waiting. When I get there to pick up my food 30 after placing the order. it wasn't ready. I waited 50+min for my to go order.

My complaint is the following: My husband and I were the only Hispanic couple there, all of a sudden the television we happened to sit in front of went from showing an encore basketball game (go Bulls!) to a local Hispanic all Spanish speaking channel, Univision. We didn’t request that nor should there have been a reason to. We asked our bartender and she advised to ask the manager to change it. He finally was walking past us after greeting other patrons around us and my husband kindly said “hey don’t think I requested the channel change, can we go back to a sports channel; please”? With a slight eye roll and huff, he did. Please, don’t claim to want to be inclusive. It came off rudely and very unnecessary. Do better. Other than that food was just as delicious as other Moretti’s I’ve been to and the bartenders were the best.

I went in tonight for one of their daily specials, called steak and bake. It’s a New York strip steak, baked potato and salad for 19 bucks. It’s a great deal. I ordered my steak medium and it came out and I cut into it and it was not even close to pink in the middle. It was very well done. The waitress kind of vanished on me for five minutes, so I just went ahead and ate it. It didn’t kill me, but I was really disappointed. The Caesar salad was good and the ambience of the restaurant is nice. If I go back and order a steak at Moretti’s another time in the future, I’m definitely gonna tell the waitress what happened. But the food in general is good and I like going there anyway.

Party of 7 Fri night seated at 630 apps and drinks served reasonably 17 min did not get the cold dinners 5 of 7 till 830. While busy there were open tables. Apologetic servers, but just poor food served cold. The kitchen must be a mess. Received 30%off.

Really a bar with some food. Had a pizza, it was passable, but many much better options nearby for delicious Italian food. Atmosphere isn't great either, but our server was great.

Very Disappointing – Not Like the Photo Tuska’s veggie pizza was completely different from what was shown in the photo. I thought it would be a classic veggie pizza, but it came looking more like a dip. The vegetables weren’t even visible — they were hidden under the tomato sauce. It wasn’t just cheese like in the picture, and the taste didn’t make up for the confusion. We didn’t like it at all. It really ruined the meal.

They penny pinch on their servings. Be aware if you order to go. They'll show a stack of vegetables in their photos and give you two instead. I'm adding a photo of what we received compared to what their website advertised

I’m not sure if management changed or if the cooks have changed but this was our first awful experience at Morettis In Barrington. We placed an order to go for grilled calamari, pasta with a side of meatballs with Italian sausage, the Halibut dinner and the broasted chicken. When we placed the order over the phone , we had them repeat the order back to ensure there weren’t any mistakes . Somehow ….. they still messed it up ! After waiting about an hour, we finally received our food only to discover that the grilled calamari and side of sausage with meatballs was missing. Mind you this was supposed to be MY birthday dinner celebration. When we called back they informed us that those items weren’t added to our order even though we had them repeat it back word for word ?? The girl who answered had attitude, which didn’t help AT ALL. They eventually decided to drop off the missing items at no charge . This was still inconvenient because the rest of our food got cold before the remaining items even arrived . Once they did arrive … what a surprise, they forgot to include the meatballs with the sausage even after I called back to make sure they were included! To top it all off … nearly every single food item was OVERCOOKED. The Halibut was like jerky and my pasta was mush ! What a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT , especially when it was supposed to be my birthday dinner . Over $100 later for what ?? For overcooked food with half the items missing . What a waste of time and money. I recommend trying Zazas in Lake Barrington instead . Amazing Italian restaurant with great service and great quality food ! Located at Shoreline Rd.

Received a pizza, which was completely mangled in transport. Although upsetting, the fact that there were also bugs on the pizza was absolutely disgusting. Place should be inspected by the health department.

Just got a pizza delivered about 20mins ago and they didn't listen to the instructions of the food, and also the bacon that was on it was mostly floppy fat, pizza was cut terribly an imo this is the worst location because of that. You're better off going to the Palatine or lake in the hills locations, those ones are great!

Wow, you hate to see this happen to a local institution but what has happened to Moretti’s is really sad. Last night we went to celebrate after the Barrington elementary orchestra concert and walked into a nearly empty restaurant on a snowy night. However, it took over 40 minutes on a Monday for us to get our food. The kids were falling apart and what should have been an hour turned into two. Our waiter came over to check on us and apologize, but no manager ever came to discuss. When the food arrived it was barely edible, my shrimp cold, my wife’s bowl of Italian beef just basically a sad beef soup. Then, when the check came, there was a 3% surcharge that, in the fine print, said we could take off, so I had the waiter adjust the bill, but seriously. The meal already cost $100 for four people for crappy, slow food. The audacity. You’re stealing money from people for walking in the door. I was going to ask to see a manager but by then, we just needed to get home. This coupled on an experience in the fall for the BASA/FCB fundraiser where I did not eat but was told that because I was there (and it was for charity) I had to pay. When I asked if all the money then was going to BASA, they said no, it was a percentage. I told them then I would just donate the full $30 to the club, I was told by the manager “That’s not how this works.” They’re crooks. Again, stealing money just because I walked in the door. For charity. I will never return. I’d rather burn my money to keep warm. What the owners are doing is disgusting. Good luck.
