My Wife and I just enjoyed an amazing Brunch. The preparation, spices, and exceptional recipes are the best I’ve had in central Texas. We will be returning often! Update 11/08/2025. We came back for another Brunch. Exquisite as always. Perfect seasoning and preparation! Really enjoy coming here!
Busy place--to avoid a wait (prime brunch time!), we sat at the bar. Joyce, the bartender, was fun. She not only gave recommendations from Store House, but for other sites/places around Bastrop too. Her knowledge of the menu was spectacular--both food and drink! We both had the Bastrop Big Brekkie--the smoked potato hash was fantastic, a blend of both regular & sweet potatoes and fresh herbs, gently smoked. He had an impressive old fashioned and I had OJ. The skewers on the Bloody Mary's were homegrown pickled veggies. The details were amazing all thru this historical building. Store House is a true Farm-to-Table eatery, with most of their stuff coming from a farm about a mile from downtown. Their fresh jam of the weekend was an apple date blend--flavorful & smooth! We will definitely go back again! The eclectic decor makes for some great conversation. I almost forgot--they have a special me up for your pets, check out JoJos pet Menu!! (out on patio!) What a fun opportunity for your pup to dine and delight as well! Enjoy!
I have been wanting to try Store House since Eden East closed and it was more delicious than I had imagined. We got the biscuit, shrimp and grits and the crab cake Benedict with the hash. The hash was just the perfect crispness with the amazing flavors of the vegetables bringing out the sweet and savory together. Anytime I have ever eaten crab cake I always find a little bit of shell, but you can eat this with confidence and enjoy every single bite. The biscuits with the honey whipped butter and jam that I could drink it was so good. I am jealous of all who live nearby to easy access to this place. Sonya Cote has a way of inspiring what foods can be.
Is this Bastrop’s secret gourmet experience? Brunch ambience was remarkable, service was exceptional. Loved the friendliness of Matt and Joyce, thank you for sharing so much about Bastrop! The decor of both the dining space and bar are hip yet country quaint. This place marries it all on top of exceptional fare. Crab cake Benedict was a hard 5/5, French toast with local peaches transcendent. This is no hyperbole, pull off 71 as soon as you can and make a visit!
Absolutely incredible experience here - we were camping in bastrop and decided to stop in for some brunch and were not disappointed. Had the crab cake Benedict with hash, and the red fish BLT with regular fries. LaToya was an incredible server! Thanks for the great food and service, yall!
This place is a farm to table restaurant. I happen to stop in during happy hour and got a half priced bramble. It was very good and hit the spot on a hot day. The grass fed burger was excellent and the fries were hot and house made. Everything I put into you could taste the local freshness. Doesn’t look like you can go wrong here on what you get. When I was there August 2025 they were about to drop a new menu. They also have wine and desserts that all sounded really good. The staff all seemed upbeat, nice, and ready to serve you. They have a nice outdoor space and have a lot of seating inside. The prices are higher than what you probably would normally pay but it’s quality over quality here and it’s worth it.
Beyond our expectations! After our first visit, we will be regular customers. The food is “real” and every morsel is a delight. The atmosphere and service- above par!
Sonya has truly created a fantastic experience with this restaurant! The atmosphere is both charming and lively, striking the perfect balance to make guests feel at home. The staff is exceptional—attentive, friendly, and easy-going, which enhances the overall experience. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious, with flavors that pair beautifully. What sets this place apart is its dedication to the local community. The commitment to using farm-fresh, locally sourced ingredients ensures every dish is crafted with care and quality. Additionally, the restaurant provides a welcoming space for the community to host meaningful events, further solidifying its role as a gathering place for connection and celebration.
We were in town for a wedding when we stopped in for brunch. The farm to table food is what drew me in, but words do not do this place justice. Delicious food, interesting and beautiful decor, and our server was pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Farm to table delight. Happened upon the Store House while in town during brunch, and was pleasantly surprised with the impressive quality of the food. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the owner herself came out to visit our table in the patio. She gave us an open invitation to visit her farm down the road, and offered us a complimentary dish of her amazingly delicious, perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, savory quails, that were not on the menu. First time tasting it - and because of this culinary experience, definitely not the last. Every bite was heavenly. Drinks were on point. The vibe was awesome. Will make it a must to visit when we’re in the area.
Our server/bartender Joyce was so much fun and makes a fantastic Old Fashioned The food, atmosphere and people make this a must stop.
Amazing muffaletta, delicious tea, and awesome fries. Great service Soya was 👍👍. Will definitely be back!
This place is a magical. I found it while on a yoga/wellness retreat in the spring of 2023. I was engaged in the summer and could think of no better place than Store House to host 80 of my closest loved ones for our wedding reception. From the menu, venue, and most importantly people, this staff goes above and beyond to make all guests feel like second family. Since having our reception there, we enjoy the date-night dinner, weekend brunch, or farm fresh food stands they have available. Coming from the heart of Austin to Bastrop, this is truly a gem and destination visit. Their coffee, lunch, and special events (Feast of the 7 Fishes) are well worth the price. The owners, Sonya and David, genuinely care about their staff and guests. They have extended kindness, curiosity, and delicious produce and dishes to us as newcomers to Bastrop. I look forward to many more memories and loved ones getting to visit and dine at a place that is so special to our hearts.

My husband and I fell in love with this place a few years ago. The farm to table concept makes it a special gem. Being able to eat food that is fresh and cared for properly is unparalleled. For brunch: we love the burger and black garlic fries. For dinner: we come here usually for the seafood tower. And we get the fries again. It feels like every time we come, the menu is slightly changed, and more so when the seasons turn over. The food is balanced and well seasoned. Many of their items carry a good amount of spice to them, which we love. And I don’t think I’ve ever had pickled veggies as good at Store Houses. The vibe and service: it’s definitely upscale but with an approachable and relaxed feeling. Eating Al Fresco in such a beautiful town, what more could you ask for?

Everything was cooked to perfection, and the service was truly top-notch; very attentive, warm, and professional. The ambiance added to the experience, making it feel like a special occasion. If I ever find myself in the area again, I’d absolutely return without hesitation
Top notch experience! Joyce provided fabulous service with lots of laughs and the food was amazing! I highly recommend the crab cake Benedict and the Peach spoon bread. Also the Ms Gingy drink!! Cute place. Great service. Delicious food.

We had our wedding reception at Storehouse and it was amazing! The event coordinator Amy, went above and beyond to make the experience stress free, Sonya created the perfect menu, and Wesley made sure the service and drinks were on point. Really can't say enough about the way the staff added to the experience of us and our guests!
First let me start with the service!!! We had Joyce as our server and she was energetic, knowledgeable about the foods (it was our first time there so we had questions), she interacted with our baby and overall just made us feel so welcomed. Now the FOOD- my god was it spectacular! We have the big breakie and those potatoes were to die for, bursts with flavor, Joyce had us try the chefs hot sauce to go with it and it was the perfect amount of spice with the flavor of the potatoes and veggies. The baby got French toast and let’s just say, mom ate the majority of it because it was so good I couldn’t stop. Definitely recommend brunch and we will be going back.
Came here with my husband for his birthday and it was amazing . Lucky us we went on Thursday, burger day , and had an amazing black garlic burger and got to upgrade my fries to the black garlic malt fries! They are phenomenal and per my husband the main reason to go. Hibiscus mint tea is so good. We normally go to Austin when we want a nice dinner but now we know we have one right in our backyard. LaToya gave excellent service and we will definitely be back !
Our first time eating here and I cannot be more happy. What a great experience! As first timers we had many…many…many questions about the menu and our server, Liz, took the time to answer every single one in a welcoming, knowledgeable fashion. From the customer service, to the drink suggestion, to the actual meal; it was a wonderful experience. I personally had the quail, and (gratefully) got to try the tri-tip, and the ribeye, HOLY MOLY! I don’t know if I could pick a favorite if I tried. Everything is beautifully curated and made with such intention and love. We also got a bottle of the orange wine, Kabaj, and what a great suggestion and pairing. Their holiday cocktails were divine and so unique! The Tennanbaum was a perfect combination of pine and sweet, what a creation! If you have the time and the opportunity, stop by and have a curated meal, a lovely glass of wine, and experience a farm to table meal that will leave you full, but wishing you had a second stomach for more!

Looking for an amazing dinning experience, or date night, family dinner night with some upscale taste? This is the place. They are kind, knowledgeable and the food is wonderful. Absolutely worth every dime and you will feel good about it. I could not recommend them enough.
Overall this is a lovely establishment. I really enjoyed how esthetically pleasing the food looked and the intimate dining space. Their servers were very friendly and welcoming to everyone. They helped with all of our questions and gave detailed descriptions of menu items. They did end up forgetting one of our crew members food, so it took a while to get to us. They were extremely apologetic and continuously checked in with us. As far as the food goes it was pretty good. I love the Farm to Table aspect. The food did lack salt, but they made up for it with their delectable jams and herb butter. I definitely recommend trying this place.

We had reservations for Valentine's day, which was our 50th wedding anniversary. We were seated in the rear of the restaurant, next to the bathroom and a large food refrigerator, along with the kitchen entrance. We heard the kitchen staff conversations during the entire meal. A special menu with 4 courses was presented. I chose the vegetarian side and it was tasty, but very small portions for the high price. My spouse got the Wagyu beef and it was not tender at all and very chewy. He said something to the wait staff and the chef came out, listened, commented about it being local and walked away. We did not realize it would be a set menu, with a high price, and did not include a glass of wine. Website said something about a valentine menu but no mention of what it was or price. We were very disappointed with it all.
Second time here and had a very poor meal. If you pay premium prices, you should get premium food I ordered the ribeye, medium rare. It came very light, pink, almost gray in the middle, and the rest of the meat was a very odd color gray. I think the store house is buying extremely low quality meat, that looks almost lightly dyed red by a person instead good Hardy deep red cut. H-E-B has better cuts. Premium prices, premium food, we ordered the Red fish, which is farm raised. Which is a cheapest you can buy and The least healthy between Wild or farmer raised. The menu says sustainably raised.. wha?? Same thing as farm. This speaks to them not actually getting quality food That you would pay for premium prices, they buy the cheapest they can find and then dress them up to get premium prices. But the Meat shows its quality. no matter how you dress it up you can’t hide poor quality food. Order the apple tart, and I think they cut the apples with a Knife, they used to cut onions with, without washing it..
