Order was accurate, fresh, delicious, and didn't take very long to get out the window and into my belly where it belonged. Good service and vibes from employees. Plus they have my favorite ice cubes. All around satisfying experience.
Came here for lunch while in the area and used my coupons for free kids burger meals. The girl taking the order was very sweet and bubbly. Everything was correct, food tasted great
We visited at a good time, as it was not busy. Plenty of staff, no line, food was prepared fast, hot, and tasted good, dining room was clean and neat. We paid about $7.40 per person for burger with fries and medium drink. I did not view the ladies restroom. I hope it was clean! Staff greeted us when we entered and wished us well as we departed. I would definitely stop here again for a fast meal.
Mr. Jeff, the manager, was on point. During a very busy hour while dining in, our food came out faster than usual, hot and out burgers were right on the money - they came out exactly as we ordered! We’d like to give a great thanks to the staff and the manager during todays dine-in experience!
I went through the drive-thru but I've been inside. Place is clean, neat, and professional. A little personality from the employees would go a long way with the customers (ie. Friendly). The food 🍔 🍟 was downright tasty!!! 😋 I put down 3 stars ⭐ for for service and atmosphere just because after all, it's just a fast food restaurant. I do recommend!
The burgers are hot and delicious with lots of veggies on them. Soooo good. Best of all, though, was the safety of the restaurant and for that I thank the manager. All the employees I saw had on a mask and gloves. Not only that, there was a portable sink and they washed their hands before re-entering the restaurant. Not only did I feel safer eating there, but I was so glad the health of the employees was cared about so much by the manager. Excellent business. Good for them!
I always get the number two double meat burger. What I learned a long time ago, always add mayo, other their burgers have too much mustard. That's on all their burgers. I'm not dinging Whataburger here, just my opinion. The food is always good
My family and I come here a bit. & Often, it's a so so experience. They have messed up, just like all of us humans do! But our last 2 visits, Emily has waited on us, & has shown us a better standard of customer service! I have many years in customer service, & I believe in recognition for good service! Emily takes the time to read back our orders IN A CLEAR VOICE, both after each item, & then recap at the end! We usually have special orders, & she has worked very hard to fill them, especially when my wife forgot to order her sandwich how she wanted upfront, & Emily had to run to the back & fix it. She has smiled, not pretended she would rather not be at work. & It clearly was awesome enough for me to take the time to write this review! Maybe if other cashiers would show such care, this industry could have a better reputation!
So, I ordered a BOB combo and an extra sausage and egg sandwich.. I drove off and found they forget my extra.. Call them, and I spoke to the Owner. He gave me a second meal and was very professional and apologetic. There are many Whataburgers, but this one stands out
We were greeted immediately upon walking in by all the employees that were up front. A manager or shift leader took our order. He was super polite and very friendly. He even spoke in Spanish with my mother in law and helped her with her order. This is hands down THE BEST service I’ve ever received at any Whataburger.
I love Whataburger but they are so overpriced now it's hard for me to eat there when I can go to P.Terry's and eat a burger and fries for under $7.
We had a hot delicious hamburger and fries. Hubby had Dr. Pepper Blackberry shake that was very tasty.
One of the best Whataburgers I've ever been to. My order came out a lot quicker than expected; food was fresh & hot. Lobby & bathrooms were clean. Will definitely be back next time I'm passing through town.
Went in and order my food and Jessica was her name was very sweet and made sure we got our food on time and everything was correct and ready. Would recommend for raise.

My family and I traveled from North Central Texas to Bastrop down in Southeast Texas on June 16th, for our annual family reunion at Buescher State Park. We checked into the hotel and went to the local What-A-Burger for lunch. We were laughing, visiting and just enjoying a great burger. We were about halfway through lunch and a What-A-Burger employee Named Otha, brought a large Dr. Pepper milkshake to the table for our granddaughters to enjoy. Ms. Otha sat with us at our table and visited with us for about ten minutes, getting to know us and just relaying a friendly attitude. As we left I asked her if she’d mind if we took a picture of her with our family so we could look back and reminisce about our four days in Bastrop. What a great visit we all had! So if you’re ever in the Bastrop, Texas area, drop in to the What-A-Burger on Hwy 71 and enjoy a great meal and be sure to say hi to Ms. Otha. Thank you What-A-Burger, Bastrop, for such wonderful customer service and delicious food. We will visit again when we’re in the Bastrop area!
You can't gi wrong my order was exactly perfect but 2 number 7 ended in me paying 22. 00 so I need to learn to read my receipt. My fault extra item was rang up and she said it back but I am hard of hearing. Food is always awesome.
Ok service, ok store, perfect and outstanding service describes this Whataburger location perfectly. The food wasn't the only thing that had me drooling. Carlos performed suitably, spoke eloquently, and delivered the food to my car promptly. This service deserves wages to live up to it.
I usually visit like 3x a year with low expectations (cold fries) but this location was a home run! Pleased with their drive thru experience, everything was very fresh

Normally a great spot to grab a burger. **Avoid the trap of the promo day(s) where you can get a free or severely discounted burger. Absolutely not worth an hour long+ wait and it was chaotic as heck. Orders being called, can’t hear them, too packed to find a seat, tables not cleaned often enough because staff was exhausted and overwhelmed. That being said the staff held it down and were rockstars considering the mass chaos.
I'm a lot biased cuz I love Whataburger! 🍔 But the service is almost always good, I mean, nobody's perfect 😊 The food is yummy and I can put avocado on my Whataburger made just how I like it. 🫶
I was thinking this would be like any other whataburger off the block, but the employee named Brendan was such a great help that he truly made my visit a great one. His customer service was astounding and he was very accommodating to my needs. I would definitely recommend anyone to come visit this whataburger purely for excellent customer service.
This place needs extra lanes the line is just way to long. Fortunately the pick up was quicker. It’s not their fault they get full the food was accurate and good. However corporate needs to do more for these employees they need to make the drive through more efficient with extra lanes and more staff. The cashier inside was so nice explained they were running late but was so nice about it I wasn’t even mad. It wasn’t too long passed my pick up time maybe a minute past. I've been here way too many times to count and I'd say it earns a good 4 stars. The last I went a while back, it took some time to get medium-quality Whataburger... Overall I've had much more experiences that are good rather than bad, so yeah I reccommend it :)
These guys are slow. Used to be faster. Under different mgmt. Very crowded and noisy. Used to go in and sit and visit. They want you in and out. Clear the area for more business. Not as friendly as it once was.

Would give 5 stars, except last several times I was there, the only thing hot was the tea. Fries and burgers were so cool, that the cheese on the burgers wasn’t even melted. This visit, ordered (and paid) for bacon on grilled cheeses for my dogs and get home to no bacon.

These hamburgers are better in different Whataburgers so just keep trying different places for that heavenly burger .
The people that work here are genuinely nice, but they absolutely need more staff at night. I get off work at 11 PM so by the time I get over here around 11:15 I am at least waiting until 12 almost every night for my food in the drive-through. Definitely not fast food. It’s quicker during the day but anytime after 11 PM you will wait almost an hour. you normally see people just give up and drive away. Because it is excessive how much time they have to wait.
Not the first time that I’ve been stuck for a long time in the drive thru. Something needs to be done about it. I have been here 35 minutes and estimate at least 15-20 more the way is going. Giving 3 stars because it’s not the employees fault and normally have no issues with food. Edit: It will go faster now since two cars in front of me left. 🤷🏻♀️
Always worth the wait for a Whataburger
Not what it was when it was still a Texas owned company. Long waits to get food. Curbside is a below average experience with long waits wrong orders.
I enjoy going to Whataburger when in Texas. Regrettably, I won’t be stopping back at this one. Although they had a number of employees, the store was dirty and trash cans were overflowing. The burgers and fries were cold and we had to go back to the counter and wait for ketchup and napkins. There was no tea in the dispensers. The employees we interfaced with were very polite and helpful but we shouldn’t have had to go get items that should have been delivered with the meal. Chris was very friendly and helpful.

Waited in the drive thru for a good 25 minutes for a meal and kids meal, which was frustrating. Kennedy (I think that was her name, but probably way off) was very apologetic and sweet, bless her heart. She made up for it with a sweet treat, even though I know it wasn’t her fault. It was the thought that counted.
I came in and ordered 2 fajita tacos but when I went home to eat them they lacked a significant amount of what is advertised on the taco. I basically paid over $14 dollars for chicken and a tortilla. I called and spoke to a manager and was told that the peppers and onions are portioned out after I had told her they barely had anything on them. She stated next time I come in and get them they will add more peppers and onions. I had gone to the elgin location and they were more than willing to help me eventhough, it was not their issue to begin with. Yes I would of liked them to offer to replace the tacos next time i visit because $14 dollars is an insane amount to begin with to not get what is advertised or even close to it. The manager just kept saying we portion out the amounts without any resolution.

Went through the drive thru & ordered 2 whatachickens. One all the way, one with no sauce, no tomato, add cheese. They gave me a dry sandwich with no cheese. Went in to get it fixed and Addy or Abby was the hostess. I let her know it was wrong and she walked away as I was telling her no sauce no tomato. RUDE. sure enough my sandwich came out with sauce and needed to be re-made again. The manager fixed it but it got made wrong AGAIN as a spicy sandwich. Maybe take the time to slow down and listen to your guest rather than rushing to get the order done. Also reconsider addy/Abby as the face for the customers unless she can fix her attitude.

Waited 30 minutes in the dinning room while 10-12 orders went out to the drive thru. Manager didn't want to give me a refund, told me it would be just a little longer. I got a refund and left. More interested in serving the drive thru than the dinning room. Won't go back again!
I ordered a jalapeño biscuit with cheese and sausage only. I received regular biscuit with 2 eggs and sausage...no cheese. Why can't you get the order right? Only 1 other vehicle in line so your not in a rush.
Spent 35 minutes in drive-thru lane for 1 medium ff, 1 medium tea, 1 water with no ice. I called the store after 25 minutes to complain that I was still sitting out here after 25 minutes for ff and tea. They put me on hold for 10 minutes. At that time, the car in front of me was served and left. I sat there for almost 5 minutes, waiting for my order and finally left. I went to Dairy Queen and drove through, ordered the exact same order, received it in 5 minutes, with fresh hot ff's. And $.30 less than Whataburger. Y'all need either, better management or better workers, or both. This was just sad. I used to work fast food way back when and I know what I am talking about. And putting me on hold instead of handling the call is wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I wasn't even being hostile, just irritated. Until I was disrespected by being put on hold and left there. I won't be back.

Pulled into the drive-though with one car ahead of me. I waited so long that I turned the car off....19 minutes to be exact, before I got my food. As expected, after a long wait, the fries and burger weren't hot at all. When I told the young lady it was a ridiculously long wait, she just closed the window. When she gave me my food, no "have a nice day" or "I apologize for your wait"....just vlosed the window again. Very disappointing.
Super disappointed. In no situation is waiting 30 minutes in a drive thru line acceptable. Much less waiting that long and not getting food. At the 30 minute mark we were still in the same place. The car in front of me (I was in the right side line) finally got their food and left and so did I. I would have left sooner but I was blocked in by the curb. Two food orders came out the entire time I was in line. Mind blown. I was extremely tempted to go inside to try and understand how in the world this could be the case. Even with one or two people running the entire kitchen you can crack out orders with a 10-12 minute average—at most. If this standard is so far off, I feel confident in assuming the other important standards, like food safety, and cleanliness are also off.
Went through drive thru on 2 separate occasions, ordered a sausage and cheese biscuit with no egg, the person taking the order verified my order, and yet both times they got it wrong and put an egg on it. If I go INSIDE, the order is amazingly done right, but so far my experience with the drive thru is that they just don't care or pay attention.
If I could rate this place a ZERO I would. We went in at 10:50 to order 2 fries and 2 apple pies. We watched them make 5 batches of fries, and an employee clock out and take one of the two pies they had ready. After 20 minutes of waiting. We still had to wait an extra 4 minutes for the pies. Because they no longer had 2 for us. To say I’m livid is an understatement. The guy who looked like the “manager” couldn’t care less about the service he and his employees were providing. We eat at whataburger almost daily but will drive a little further from our new home as to not visit this location again. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
If your wanting your food quickly avoid putting your order in online. These poor excuses for fast food workers will serve everyone else first and make sure you know how much they dislike you!
~$47 for the same exact order I got across the street for ~$23. Not including the chocolate chip cookie I got with my better tasting $23 order. How is the house burger more expensive and bland than other out of state burger franchises within a mile? If you're willing to pay an extra $24+ on top of your entire order for 0.1 oz more per burger in your order this is your spot, but in my humble opinion; I don't have a valid reason to walk into a Whataburger in the future if I'm looking for both a tasty and valuable burger.
Yesterday, my wife and I ordered the same coffee here. Later, we both had food poisoning. We didn't order anything else besides the coffee. The order at the cashier was processed by the manager herself. It was strange that instead of a single item advertised as "mint coffee," it was listed as several separate items: coffee + syrup + syrup + syrup.
Just moved to Bastrop and was excited to see that one of my favorite fast food chains was nearby my new place. I’ve been to the Bastrop location here 3-4 times over the course of the past 2 months and the service has always been terribly slow and have always had to pull up to wait for the food. There’s also no communication as to why the food would take a long time, not until you get your food 30 minutes later! Definitely not happy with this location and sad to see that I can't enjoy whataburger when I'm at home.
Went there to order some food after work. I got there shortly after 11:30 at night. I guess the person on mic couldn't hear me but I ordered at the second window after it took 20 minutes to reach it. I was asked to pull into slot one to wait. I'm normally pretty patient but I proceed to wait another 20 minutes while smelling STRONG weed smell in the parking lot as there were employees openly smoking in their car. After my girlfriend went inside to ask if we were forgotten it was 10 minutes and the roughly hour long transaction was finally over. Not impressed at all. Left roughly at 12:25
Nothing special about the service and the food is always consistent. However, if you come by the drive thru late at night, you will wait 30 or more minutes. I was the third car in line and the inside is completely dead. Idk why it takes 30 minutes to make a few combo orders. The workers are respectful as expected, but the service here is super slow. And if it’s busy, there is a high probability your order will be wrong. That is inconsistent for whataburger, being that this location is the only location for miles. I would think they would have it together to push out orders.
Waited 45 minutes in the drive through to get an incorrect order. Workers were rude when I walked inside to get it corrected. All the prep tables were covered in food not going anywhere and all the employees seemed to be moving at the slowest possible speed. The food was cold as well. Something inside had burned and filled the kitchen with smoke. Just a definite case of mismanagement
If only they were as good as they used to be... I made an order in the drive thru for a burger with grilled onions. No, no cheese. I pulled up to see only 1 truck ahead of me and thought, "Good, shouldn't be too long" since their service time has been getting longer and longer. I arrived at the window and paid my fee and was told to move up to the trash can - which tells me they are cheating their drive thru delivery times and this is going to be a long wait. It was...and by the trash can, really. Then I am finally handed my food and I left. Once I get home, I find that the burger has cheese, no lettuce, no onions, and extra mustard - not what I ordered. And since I ordered it with No Cheese because of a food allergy, it is completely inedible. Poor food, poor service, and a poor atmosphere. The food quality has gone downhill, the service is minimal at best even when we go into the dining room, and the location atmosphere is no longer welcoming.
4:01 pm/ Rosy V was at the drive thru. What an awful person to put in the drive thru. I felt like I was trying to sell HER some stuff. It was an unhappy person. No hello, no can I help you, no hello…. Just “what do you need”…. Got to the window and that was no friendlier. No smile, no thank you, no have a nice day.. just took my card and handed it back with a miserable look on her face. Food was good as usual but holy cow. Whoever put ole Rosy V at the drive thru should have their head examined. Awful customer service.
I tried to use your app. Not user friendly. The girl tried to help in the drive-thru, but couldn't. My food was wrong, cold, and undercooked. I asked for no jalapeno but it had jalapeno ranch. Went into the store. The manager's brilliant answer was that isn't jalapeno. Seriously. I scraped off the disgusting dressing in the lobby since they refused to make a new one. Still enough on there to make me ill. Fries were ice cold and pulled at least 45 seconds early from the vat. The only thing right was my drink which I had to ask for twice and got an empty cup. So I filled it which is why it was right.
I lived in Bastrop for years and when I was 18 years old I used to work at this same Whataburger. It's crazy how bad it got since then, I guess Chris doesn't own this location no more. The dining room was absolutely disgusting (food all over the ground and tables to the point we had to search table after table to find one clean enough to eat at). The food was cold and the service is rude, slow, and unprofessional. The culture has really hit a low here. The reason this place is terrible is because of the management it's obvious because they have a high school kid as the manager who does not know what he is doing and is very unfriendly. He gave me push back to everything I asked for my order as if I was a burden to him. We won't be supporting this mess anymore I'd rather go to roadhouse for a burger. To the owner of this franchise, when ever you fail and sell it please let the new owner know to put a sign at front saying under new management only then will I come back to this location.
This location just keeps going downhill. Every single time I go in, it's worse. Today's negligence was the last straw. After waiting 15 minutes for my 1 cheeseburger, and seeing 4 cars pass me in the drive thru...where's my freaking burger. Not that difficult, it's in your name for peets sake.
Lakenya could do a better job being at the window.. acted like she didnt want to be there.. employee offered napkins ketchup salt & pepper said id do it all with spicy ketchup.. I had nothing in the bag but the food & all she said was here u go. & walked away .. other ppl are actually looking for a job if she doesn't want to work she doesn't need to be there! Simple.
this specific location often makes me want to take my life in front of the workers because of how mean they are.
I do not recommend ordering this drink. I ordered a coffee with white chocolate peppermint, but the drink turned out to be overly bitter and strong. I could only drink a third of it before I started feeling unwell, and it eventually made me throw up. I decided to try this coffee after seeing an advertisement, but the staff didn’t seem to know about it and looked confused. It’s possible they made a mistake with the recipe.
Want your whole order? Want the correct order? Too bad. I thought the first time i went was a mistake. But the second time was the same mess.
Was on my way to work. I've never seen a Whataburger in 36 years thats not 24 hours and has the loby locked at 4 am with employees standing around the front counter.
I have given this place several times the benefit of the doubt. But this morning put the icing on the cake. I had two vehicles ahead of me in the drive the thru. It took 20 minutes to get a chicken biscuit and a drink. I will never ever go to this place again. I understand it’s made to order but come on really. My food was cold when I got it also.
Worst service ever, waited 20 mins for fries
I went through the drive-thru at 3:30pm, thinking it would be a quick stop. Not so. I waited thirty minutes and my burger was ice cold. The cheese wasn't melted, at any point. They had plenty of people working. Also, the girl at the window sneezed into her hands, then proceeded to stock the napkins and straws.
Just picked up a replacement burger from one that was wrong and it's cold and what looks like a bite taken out of the patty.... So disappointed in this establishment. 3/4/23 trying again. I wasn't going to say anything but, by the time I'm eating my burger, it's dripping in oil! The top bun is saturated in oil. My burger is ordered dry, onions only. The rest is this, I ordered curbside, waited 5 minutes over the time. Went inside employeeo standing around, my order was clearly at the top of the que, he found it and handed it to me from beneath the staging area. Cold fries, no napkins, no ketchup which they clearly ask and it's stated on receipt. Just need a little push on making the order and behind aware when bagging it. Come on, I might change my Star
It looks like this place has consistently bad reviews, and whoever is running it isn’t doing a great job. This restaurant needs better management and staff to improve the overall experience. This is my second time ordering lemonade, and it tastes absolutely terrible—like something from a sewer. I’m surprised no one has complained about it before. Please make sure all drinks are properly checked for quality before serving them to customers!!!!
So 2 weeks ago I gave a 5 star. 2 days ago staff changed and order taker AND window peson changed. Took 23 minutes more to get order filled, and was told because of call-in orders. I went same time and day as I have for last 3 nonths. (I go twice a week). Tonight even worse. Drive-thru lane closed, AND inside closed. Little after 12, and can see a full staff getting payed to not figure a way to take care of customers!!
I'm only giving one star because 0 don't exist. I've been to this location 4 times now. It's always slow but last night was ridiculous 1hr 1 minute from time I got in line until I got my food. At one point an employee was outside yelling at someone in drive-thru. My food like every other time I've been there was wrong. It's a shame I hear great things about Whataburger and I'm new to Texas and Whataburger and I have yet to have a good experience with this one. I am done trying here.
I have had many order issues with this establishment, but tonight was my last straw. To begin with the drive thru attendant was incredibly rude and unprofessional, continuously cutting me off mid order with a rude tone and attempting to end the order immediately after choosing a meal despite the order not being done nor given a sign it was, furthermore although I took my due diligence double checking the order with the attendant I still managed to receive a wrong order, being given root beer and not the Dr.pepper I ordered and PAYED for, if you're considering going to this establishment I would hold my horse till you arrive in Austin.
i made a online order to pick up after i got off grave yard shift on a monday at the bastrop location to find out that the building had a power outage and was not able to fill any orders which i understand and was told to contact customer care to get a refund from company for it being online order which i did and so far i only got my reward pts refunded to me and i did see on my bank acct amount of $13.77 had disappeared for a moment to it being recharged 5 days later on thursday night and when i went to store to ask manager on duty if i could just get the order made since whataburger ran the charge she argued that she could not do that because the store did not run the online side of the operation which in my option is BS and bad customer service it all same company name if she would have filled the order i would have dropped any complaint and this review would have had a different rating and outcome but i guess customer service is not part of the industy anymore and the bastrop location has lost a 40 yr loyal customer for ever and the customer care center is just as bad i called everyday since monday and they told me they summitted ticket for a refund for me and i would just have to sit and wait which is BS as well they took my money in a sec and im 5 days waiting and still not REFUND OR ORDER
My order was totally wrong I wanted to try the whatabites and I said light sauce they put light ice. Really the drink was filled all the way to the top with ice so they didn’t even do that.
Ordered a kids meal and a sandwich by its self, total came up to be $20.10?! Brought up to manager that front menu price for kids meal was $5.99 to what he replied that menu was outdated and there was nothing he could do about systems new prices charging us $9.08 for a 4 piece chicken bites. We paid and drove home just to find out they gave us the wrong order! Shitty service
Everytime I order a sauce with my fries like the Honey BBQ they NEVER PUT IT IN MY BAG. You literally charge me for the sauce.. the least you could do is put it in the bag?
So I just got a burger from there and it was wet? The whole top bun was wet? Final straw with that one. Normally, when I take my kid in there, there’s a bunch of 17 and 18 year-old children trying to be cool by cussing loudly and using racial slurs. So my son and I stopped going inside to eat. Now we’re getting wet burgers, so I think that was our last trip to Whataburger. Thanks for ruining a core memory for me growing up.
Went through drive thru and speaker was very rude. Said thank you after ordering and the speaker replies “yup” completely unprofessional.
When ordering at the drive thru orders are consistently wrong. Went by today, asked for no onions on 3 hamburgers and 1 patty melt. Guess what, half the order had onions. Won't be going there again.
