Opinions de Coffee Time Baveno
I am so glad to finally visit this place, with the wait time being less than 30 minutes. There had been times it was at least an hour long! Overall was very impressed...loved the cozy and inviting atmosphere with the homey feel and the customer service was top-notch! The made-from-scratch food definitely reminded me of homemade comfort food. I got the Farm Breakfast. There is a choice of bacon or sausage and I asked if I could have one of each. They were both delish! I opted for a biscuit and let me just say the strawberry butter was amazing! It was so smooth in flavor and texture, although very tasty. My eggs were cooked to perfection and I loved the potatoes! I also had a latte with lavender added and it was so good, one of the best I ever had. Do yourself a favor and stop by, then head over for the whole Magnolia experience on the other side of the interstate. Great for a day trip, especially on a beautiful day!
Definitely make a reservation! My son ordered Jo's crunchy French toast with over easy eggs and bacon, my sister and I ordered the Farm house breakfast and we had coffee. Everything was SO good. The French toast was the favorite. The bacon is very good too. We were seated at 10:20 am, and our reservation was at 10:30 am today. Service was very good and the food was delicious! We loved the atmosphere! The plant boxes everywhere were very nice. The restrooms were very clean and they had an attendant in there to keep it clean. We appreciated that there wasn't music playing in the background. You could just hear the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant and the conversations of people enjoying a meal together. We will make sure Magnolia Table is part of our annual trip to Silobration!
On a quick anniversary trip to Waco, the wife wanted to stop by magnolia table and check out the remodeling, along with the food. Staff members were very kind, and provided great service. Food arrived quickly and was very good. Can’t say enough good things about the buttermilk biscuits, and variety of butter to complement them. Biscuits are a must have.
I went there for lunch with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We didn’t have reservations and waited about 15-20 minutes on a Friday afternoon. I’m gluten free and they have some options but not as many as I would have liked. For example, no GF bread. However, I did have a salad with grilled chicken that I enjoyed. The place was packed! Great service and delicious food.
If a perfect dining experience was defined in the dictionary, this would be it. The food, delicious, high quality, and big portions. The service exceeded expectations. The atmosphere, warm and welcoming. The place is gorgeous!
While in Waco, I visited Magnolia table for breakfast. Sidenote here. We made a reservation ahead of time and thank goodness that we did because there was quite the line of people waiting. When we came in people looked at us like good luck, we went up to the hostess, gave them our name and were immediately seated. The waitress came right over, provided us with water and then took our coffee order. While we perused the menu. We placed our order and the food was brought out quick and it was hot. I believe I ordered the farmers breakfast and my daughter ordered pancakes with bacon. The pancakes were huge. The portions were large, definitely more than we could eat. My daughter did point out that it was so quiet in the restaurant, even though it was full. She noticed that there was no music. When the weight staff would come to clean off a table, they were very quiet about it, and there was no clanging of dishes, which was very nice. When we finished we paid our bill and then went to check out their little store on the other side of the restaurant. I would go back.
Absolutely stunning! We’re visiting from Houston and this place is not only delicious but incredibly beautiful! Highly recommend! Well done Chip and Joana - you made a place where my picky eater kids actually finished their meals! Shoutout to our waitress Lauren for being super sweet and helpful!
My mom and I stopped in at Magnolia table for brunch. I was able to make a reservation an hour prior with no issues. The space is beautiful and very clean. It was around lunchtime so it was pretty busy. We were seated within a minute with no issues. Our server was very patient as we were indecisive. Everything on the menu looks so delicious. We decided on avocado toast with bacon on the side and the three sliders. The pimento bacon cheeseburger was my favorite, it had so much flavor! The avocado toast was very flavorful as well. The sourdough bread and olive oil made it next level. After brunch, we walked over next-door to the store where you could buy some of the things they offer in the restaurant and souvenirs such as sweaters, hand towels, magnets. Shop with caution everything is pricey. We did end up buying some blackberry jam, vanilla, strawberry jam, orange honey, and they’re famous strawberry whipped butter!
This is, by far, my favorite restaurant ever! Everything was perfect! I finally understand the meaning of “melt-in-your-mouth“ biscuits. You must give them a try. No matter what we ordered. It was wonderful. The restaurant was super clean and are server was helpful, attentive, and very sweet. Thanks to Magnollia Table for a fantastic experience!
I don't often stop in to places like this but we gave it a shot tonight. This place lived up to the hype and was great! We got in around 7 ish with no problem. Friendly staff, atmosphere and we loved the dishes we selected. Apple pie with vanilla was to notch also. Do yourself a favor and stop in here for a bite👍👍
Came here for the first time for a quick brunch, and also because I was curious about this place I watched on Fixer Upper years ago. Perhaps because it was a Tuesday, it was very easy to make a 12.30pm reservation last minute. Still, the place was full when I got there, and I felt lucky to find a spot right away in the parking lot. Upon entering, I found the place quite large and bright, although the hostess could be a bit more welcoming to guests. Once seated, service and food came quickly, and my server was excellent. I ordered the avocado toast with a poached egg, and a pumpkin spiced latte with soy milk. Perhaps paying $16.50 for one slice of toast with no sides was a bit expensive, I was pleasantly surprised that it was super tasty, and the sourdough bread was nice and soft, just the way I liked it. The pumpkin spiced latte was a bit too sweet for me, but the flavor was good. All in all, it was a very nice experience and I would certainly recommend this place for brunch.
Cannot say enough positive words about Magnolia Table. Now folks, Magnolia Table, and the Silos including Magnolia Market have come to be quite the destinations in Waco, and we knew that going in. So, we made reservatioons at Magnolia Table for 2:00pm on a weekday. When we arrived about 15 minutes early we were seated within 5 minutes. Had a VERY pleasant server. We ordered the Breakfast Sandwich (Her) and I had the French Toast Crunch. Photos of both attached. Both meals were EXCELLENT. Our only complaints (an observation more than complaint) was that the portions were HUGE. My wife didn't fininsh her side of potatoes, and I really struggled with my French Toast. The couple next to us (had a nice chat with them during the meal) left 1/2 their food on the plates. So, 5 stars for Magnolia Table. The place was spotless, waitress was very pleasant, food was excellent, and restrooms were tidy. Like I said, make reservations well in advance if possible, and yeah ... you'll likely be dining in a full restaurant.
Amazing place to visit while in Waco! This is our third trip to Waco, and we ate almost every meal at Magnolia Table for the 3 days while we were in town. Our waitress, Courtney S. was AMAZING!! We requested her the second time because she was so friendly, prompt, and provided wonderful service! If you want OUTSTANDING service with a smile, ask for her! The food is always hot, fresh, and tasty with portion sizes that could feed an army! We love visiting Waco and Magnolia Table!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Magnolia Table is truly a special experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with that signature Magnolia charm that makes you feel right at home. The staff was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The food was absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The biscuits and strawberry butter are a must-try, and every dish we ordered felt like it was made with care and attention to detail. Portions were generous, and everything came out hot and delicious. What really stood out was how everything—from the décor to the menu—felt thoughtful and intentional. It’s not just a place to eat, it’s an experience that leaves you smiling long after you leave. I highly recommend Magnolia Table to anyone visiting Waco. Whether it’s breakfast with family or brunch with friends, this is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.
Absolutely stunning space — very bright, welcoming, and classy! We had a wonderful experience, made even better by our sweet and attentive waitress who not only gave us great food recommendations but also tips on what to explore during our visit to Waco. I enjoyed the Gaines Brothers Burger with the jalapeño jelly. One thing you must try is the strawberry butter — I paired mine with a butter croissant, and it was heavenly. Highly recommend this place for both the atmosphere and the food!
First time visit here while I was in Austin. The atmosphere was quaint and cute. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The server was a wonderful young lady and very friendly! The best thing we ate was the appetizer of maple bacon & deviled eggs... absolutely hands down the BEST 👌 10 OUT OF 10! The other food we got was good but the eggs and bacon app was the show!
Beautiful restaurant! The staff was amazing! Food was good, but not exactly that "next level" I was expecting. Don't get me wrong, it was good, and I would go back. I guess with all the hype I was expecting more. But overall its an awesome dining experience. I suggest reservations. It was packed when we arrived and the seated us immediately.
We decided to make the drive from Dallas while visiting, and it was definitely worth it! 👏🏼 The biscuits + honey butter are exceptional! A must get for your appetizer. We shared the signature smash burger and it was delicious. The Brussels sprouts!!…SO GOOD. Don’t be fooled by the dark crispy color, these are incredible. Service was amazing as well! Shout out to Loren for making our experience so welcoming. 🫶🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We visited Magnolia Table in the late morning on 2/3/26 after walking through The Silos. This was our second trip to Waco and The Silos; our first visit was before Magnolia Table opened, so it had been high on our list to try. We started with the Bacon & Eggs appetizer—deviled eggs with bacon. The deviled eggs were solid and paired nicely with the jalapeño relish, but the real standout was the bacon. Thick, glazed, and flavorful. Easily the star of the table. For lunch, we shared the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was well-seasoned and very moist. The fries were just okay, but the fry sauce was excellent and did most of the heavy lifting. The biggest letdown: the food arrived warm, not hot. With a single shared entrée, that was hard to overlook and ended up being the low point of the visit. My wife had the strawberry mimosa which she enjoyed. Would we go back? Maybe. The food was good—clearly well thought out—but not quite memorable or exceptional. Solid experience, just short of the hype.
If you’re planning to dine at Magnolia Table, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. It’s one of the first things they ask when you arrive, and based on what I overheard, the wait time for walk-ins can be quite lengthy. The atmosphere and layout are beautifully designed—welcoming and spacious despite the crowd. Even during peak hours, it didn’t feel cramped or overwhelming. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate, which we appreciated. Since we were just passing through town, we made a reservation around lunchtime, preferring a lunch option over breakfast. My husband opted for the Gaines Brothers Burger with Jalapeño Drip Jam—a solid choice for any burger lover. He really enjoyed it, and the generous serving of fries was a nice touch. I went with Jo’s Favorite Chicken Salad Sandwich, which turned out to be a perfect choice on a warm day. It was light, nostalgic, and refreshing. I especially appreciated the toasted croissant, which added a nice texture. While the sandwich lacked the red grapes and pecans listed on the menu, it wasn’t a dealbreaker. However, I wasn’t particularly fond of the chips on the side. A choice of a side salad or soup would’ve been preferable, as the kettle chips tasted overly salty and store-bought. Overall, Magnolia Table is definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area—just be sure to plan ahead!
We landed in Waco Christmas Day and made a reservation with Magnolia Table for Friday morning. It is a bit out of the way, but the place itself is nice with an upscale diner feel. Seating at wall tables was a bit cramped. Parking is a challenge. Service was reasonable, our waiter kind and relational asking about our trip and how our Christmas had been spent. THE STRAWBERRY BUTTER WAS WORTH THE VISIT. Their breakfast sausage was yummy, and sourdough toast a nice option. In all honesty, strawberry butter appears to be whipped butter with strawberry preserves added. Not sure if they are homemade or store bought. The rest of our meal was rather ordinary. The biscuits looked like something reheated from frozen. The scrambled eggs came out lukewarm with chives or parsley sprinkles, not so special, the home fried potatoes were basic Denny's or IHOP fair without peppers or onions -- appeared to be from a bagged frozen food service, and our waiter while fast and relational at first was absent while we ate, and we had to wait for about 15 minutes after we finished our meal to get our check. At $50+ dollars for two breakfasts, a coffee, soda, and 4 biscuits with strawberry butter seems a bit overpriced. A unique local restaurant in D/FW without strawberry butter for two similar breakfasts with homemade biscuits and real butter was less than $30 and more satisfying portions.
Here in Waco with my daughter for the weekend and we planned dinner here, I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and our waitress was amazing, exceptional service. We had the chicken biscuit sliders for our appetizer and it did not disappoint, I ordered the steak frites but subbed the blue cheese sauce for the chimichurri sauce and also subbed the fries for the mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were ok, my steak was unevenly cooked (I like medium rare) and a bit chewy/tough, but I'm a hard critic when it comes to steak, the chimichurri sauce was amazing!! My daughter had the bucatini pasta and that was perfect! Overall food and service was good I would definitely come back but I would just choose a different main entree! very good, however
I visited Magnolia Table in Waco and really liked the nice interiors, they give the place a warm and cozy feel. It’s definitely a spot where making a reservation is recommended because it gets busy. The service was reasonably fast, which was great. The food was decent overall. The biscuit with strawberry butter stood out as something unique and tasty. The rest of the food was good, but not excellent. Still, it’s a nice place to visit for the atmosphere and a pleasant meal.
Upscale diner with small but tasty menu. Inand out in less than hour. I ordered crispy chicken and it seemed like it was pre-made and sitting under a heat lamp waiting for someone to order. It was good just not fresh. This is a really nice place . Just level set your expectations this is not fine dining think of an upscale cracker barrel. The stuffed mushrooms were very good !
