Place is the bomb. Tortas , and gorditas are best item. Tacos are pretty decent. Aguas frescas are good as well!

This is my go to spot when traveling to and from Houston on hwy 59 when I want a good authentic taco. I always get the al pastor tacos on corn tortilla. The Torta and Gorditas are on point as well. Service is always friendly and fast. I highly recommend this place.

Service was amazing. I met the owner before knowing she owned the restaurant and she was sincerely such a kind person so I knew I had to find and support her business. Those Camarones a la diablitaaaaa - Holy cow —- soooooo goooood. The beans were great - rice was good - chips were good as was the salsa but honestly the shrimp did it for me and it wasn’t a small plate. Good sized plate.

If you don't like your food touching, this place isn't for you. Otherwise it is fantastic. The margarita gave me a brain freeze though, but that's probably my fault

I have heard ALOT about this place from my friends, I finally had the opportunity to stop here, great food, great service, and very good prices. The flavor was the same that my Grandmother had. WOW, I was not expecting that!!! Only wish they had homemade corn tortillas. I will be back! Lots of room for parking.

Awsome spot. The food is well prepared and the staff friendly. They dont hold back on the portions either. They keep the place very clean. The menu has pictures in case you don't understand what you're ordering. The restaurant is spacious so the staff can move about freely without interfering with your meal.

There are not enough stars to rate this restaurant!!! While I was waiting for my bowl of Caldo de Res, I was looking 👀 at all the orders coming out! Fried fish, enchiladas, fajitas. Everything looked so good!! My soup was fantastic! I live in Houston but I will be back to try the other items on the menu. It was hands down the best soup I have ever had!! Plenty of meat and cabbage carrots! Don’t miss out on this restaurant! Don’t bother going anywhere else but this restaurant. It has got all you need or want!

I was pleasantly surprised. They allow me to dine in which was a change for me since I normally have to eat in my semi. I ordered a menudo and couldn't stop eating. Afterwards I ordered the Mini Tacos (w/ Asada) which came with a cup of Beans and bacon. That was also very good. 2 Heineken and I was feeling great! I would definitely add this spot in my Google Maps and stop again. The staff was friendly, the food came out hot and quickly with a presentation that makes you feel like your going to enjoy what you're about to eat. The size of my serving was more than what I expected and didn't feel like I was paying to much for what I was getting. Thats another big plus. Taqueria Fernandez, thank you for making my experience a good one. Thanks to the ladies in the front for checking on me and doing their job with courtesy and I can't forget all the guys in the back making the food taste delicious and keeping it fresh. Thanks again.

Great food and prices. We had the beef enchiladas, quesadilla plate, and tacos. The limonada and agua de melon were awesome!

Excellent, speedy service. The guacamole was a bit too lemony, enchiladas were tasty.

The tortas are always amazing and full of meat. Great flavor. The staff are very polite and attentive. Overall will always return for more.

Food was Great, service was good just wanted dessert and we payed. Once we payed she said they didn't have what we wanted to that ticked the wife off lol. But other then that is was Great!!!

Really tasty, authentic Mexican breakfast (full disclosure: I'm not Latino). Great service, fairly priced and several options including American entrées. My favorite is the machacado breakfast tacos. The salsas are bland and they're slow cleaning the tables but otherwise a wonderful breakfast choice. I'm not familiar with their lunch menu.

The food is usually enjoyed or by myself anyway after a night at Greek Brothers. The menudo is awesome the rest of the fair is authentic and fresh. So check Taqueria Fernandez out on 71 and El Campo Texas.

The restaurant entrance was nice and clean , It was my first time at the place , so we didn't know where to go , so we decided to take a table , the table was clean the server took around 8 minutes to hang out the menu but that's ok , the place was very busy at that time, the food was ready in our table really fast , food was great , service was ok . I strongly recommend this place . I will definitely visit this place on my next visit to El Campo,TX.

It was too cold. I asked for a chill mug, was given a mug chill but dressed. I don't drink my beer dressed. Don't assume the customer wants a dressed mug with a mexican beer. Ask!

The prices are great. The food was okay. And the service was good also. I'm use to having more heat to my Mexican food. But, all in all it was a good choice.

We just had the best experience in breakfast this morning. Had the chilaquiles which were very good, not too spicy but great flavor. My husband had the Mexican Barbacoa which was also good. He loved the potatoes & beans. I would have given the a 5 bit when I asked to see manager or owner they gave me two different names & one of the ladies said no manager at this time lol! I did tell them how satisfied we were, how I would stop by again when coming this way. The young lady ( Noeimi) served us very well with a smile & as soon as saw our ☕ cup low came to refill. Like I said all you need is a little confidence in your establishment....all I wanted was to meet your owner just to give you this compliment.

Well we use to love this Restaurant but a lot has changed. The service for one is just awful now 😞 you have to wait until the servers remember that you're there to get a refill on your coffee or drinks, or you'll have to flag them down to come to you. I ordered the Texas Plate and believe me it's awful not worth getting it. No flavor for one and idk what kinda sauce they use for the Cheese Enchiladas but it taste like Molé sauce and that shouldn't be used for Enchiladas. The atmosphere is okay a little chilly inside but your body will adjust to the temperature... Other than that it's 🆗

I came here last night to get a Texas Plate with Beef Fajita enchiladas and it was horrible. I made it home, checked my order and I was so upset because this place has good breakfast, menudo, burritos, etc. My enchiladas was ground beef with peas and corn inside and I thought that was so disgusting which it was very bland, the beans were bland with no seasoning and the only thing I can say was good was the Carne Asada and tortillas! I don’t know if I’ll ever go back and I’m waiting to see if I’ll be refunded today which I should.

Food is good , but the drive thru takes soo long! They should let ppl order, pay & then pull them around back in to the drive thru line again . That way that people that pre ordered on the phone can just pick up their order without waiting so damn long. Instead of waiting for each person individually.

Found hair . Then on my burger I asked for no cheese and all they did was remove cheese that was already on a burger and I can still see and taste the cheese . It makes me want to vomit . Honestly very upset . Not happy and I don’t get to eat for the rest of the day :/

I was highly disappointed in this resturant. I would never go back! My husband and I walk in and theres flies everywhere. The place was not clean. We sit down and a waitress brings the menus which is falling apart and being held together by tape. We order our drinks, she brings it along with old stale chips and Picante salsa. I ordered chicken flautas with rice and beans. I saw my plate and didnt even want to try it. No cheese on the beans, rice looked dry and flautas where dripping in orange oil, flat and had hardly any chicken. I took a bite of it and it was soft and mushy. Beans were not home made and rice had no flavor. We asked for different salsa which both had no taste. Los Cucos is 100% better than this place.

The service was really great but the food wasn't that good. I ordered the #4 Mexican plate and the taco was ok but the salsa was bland. The enchilada sauce didn't have a good taste, tasted as if it came from a can. I wouldn't return.

Not good at all. The food is pre-canned and packaged Mexican food from the grocery aisle. The tortillas were from a bag and microwaved, the beans were fresh from the can. No added spices or anything. My Carne Guisada tasted like wet boiled meat with no real flavor. The cheese enchiladas tasted like they were from a frozen dinner or canned enchiladas (and I suspect that may indeed be the case). My dining companion had nothing positive to say about his burrito, and neither of us finished our meals. The restaurant itself is in an old Burger King location, as can be seen on the many remaining fixtures from its fast food roots. The service itself was fine. Nothing bad, nothing great. Seeing the previous reviews I was hopeful, but the restaurant is simply bad.

I sat inside this restaurant for 45 minutes no waitress came back to the table But yet they complain they don't make money do your job and you might get tips. This was at 1:30 only about 5 tables with people

I was not impressed. The food was okay, but not for the price. I also got fajita-sized tortillas, which seemed old. I ordered the egg and Barbacoa plate, not an order of fajita tacos. I felt short changed. If you are going to give me small tortillas, do me a favor and give me fresh tortillas.

If I could give this place -10 stars I would, this was the worst experience I have EVER had at a Mexican restaurant. Not only did we wait almost an hour in the drive through line, when we got to the window the employee asked, “whats your name? What did you get? Did you order?” Are you serious? You don’t know our order. We then open the bag to the SMALLEST tacos on the face of the earth. The worst tasting EVER. Bland, greasy, inedible. This place seriously needs a reality check.

Stopped here for an early breakfast on my way to Corpus Christi from Houston. This place had decent reviews and the parking lot was full. Sure fooled the heck out of me. Ordered the machacado and eggs plate with flour tortillas. I asked if the corn tortillas were house made, she said store bought. I think everything here is store bought. The flour tortillas looked and tasted like Mission brand. The salsa tasted like chunky water. The beans tasted like Old El Paso canned beans. I apologize if someone is making this stuff in the back. If they are, they perfected the mass produced recipes. I guess it was crowed due to it’s proximity to the interstate.
