My former boss introduced me to this restaurant , it's a great place to stop and eat. Never a bad meal there.

Our favorite Chinese buffet in Bay City, Tx. This visit was for our Grandson's birthday! Great way to feed 14 hungry people! The kids loved it!

Friendly and courteous employees. Great selection of food. Not only Chinese food but large selection of what I would call home cooked American food. My son's favorite is the meatloaf.

The chauffeur was nice, they had TVs it wasn't as busy when I want which was like 5 o'clock they had good fresh food. Some Seafood too. I cant complain on the crawfish😋

Yeah that's the one in Bay City I love it I go there all the time they actually change their grease cuz you know the food tastes good but I usually eat baked food but overall it's a good place to go and just one young lady that talks to me all the time I like her she's cool

We do not have many choices here in town but for buffet, this one is the one to choose. All kinds of different foods Chinese to American. Sushi bar, salad bar, dessert bar etc. Crawfish season is best they have delicious crawfish. Not a bad price and clean. Staff is friendly and inviting.

When I walk in the restaurant I was Amazed by how big the restaurant was but the food was bigger there was pizza,orange chicken,ice cream and bunch of different flavors of variety I was pleasantly surprised.The design looks pleasant to the eye and the chandeliers looks amazing.The servers are very nice and generous. Overall this restaurant is a nice place for family and friends can join together and eat some delicious food!

I've been to many Chinese buffets throughout the Houston area and this Chinese buffet is not the best, but it does have a good high quality of food. Its also alot more cheaper than any other Chinese buffet I been to. Staff was amazing and friendly! I really enjoyed their orange chicken, egg-rolls, and Wonton soup.

I've been going here since they opened their old location by Walmart. They have their occasional issues but overall have maintained good quality and consistency. The workers are all very friendly and kind. My favorites are the jalapeno chicken and fried rice. My husband loves the mushrooms and rice noodles. They always have fresh fruit and a decent salad bar available as well as several dessert options. The best times to go are when they first open and when they're relatively busy as that is when the food is the most fresh. We will keep returning as long as they're around.

The food was still fresh and hot. It surprised me that due to the fact that we had a late day and didn't arrive until 9 and they closed at 10, they still made sure all the menu was still available on the line. Our waitress was very nice and attentive even while doing her closing stuff. I have visited this restaurant several times and have never had a problem.Besides were else can u go for endless crawfish for 15 bucks, including drink inless u enjoy a nice glass of water. Would recommend it to anyone. Plus, the fortunes aren't bad either.

Very good buffet type restaurant. Food was good. There's a big variety of food on the buffet. Chinese, American, salad bar, sweets bar etc.. you serve yourself (fill your plate) buffet. This place is clean with tables or booths, all you can eat. For one price. A good dining experience.

It's a good buffet. They have a fairly good selection. The Crawfish was awesome all spicy and salty the best I've had at a Chinese buffet. And be I've eaten at alot of them lol. The hot and sour soup was yummy. My husband likes the roast and potatoes and carrots. Would recommend eating there

The selection of food is pretty good at this buffet. The sushi is a bit dry whenever we go so I can't recommend it. The staff is nice enough and this is deffinetly a great place to take large groups.

Much better than when I was at old location. I can't eat wheat/gluten and they're were plenty of selections for me. The fish was great. My husband doesn't usually like Chinese type food and he thought the fish was excellent and enjoyed the buffet. Very clean, great service. Friendly staff.

This place was delicious and fresh and tons to choose from. Service was very good too! They even have ice cream, like real ice cream that you scoop. They have a wonderful variety to choose from. Asian food, sausage, a few fish options, sushi, fresh cut vegetables. I will definitely eat here again.

Most of the food was good, service was good and not rushed. Had seafood also like crawl fish/crawdads, shrimp, salmon and fish but the fish was not at all good. The noodles weren't good. There was no general tso chicken. They had a variety of food but more would have been better.

This was our first time eating at this buffet. The food was great, and the price was the best thing. We ate so much it was all so good. The person in charge of refilling the buffet was on top of their game ! Very clean and the food was hot and fresh and never an empty tray for very long.

Decent place to eat, i would go between 11-5, it seems to be the only time they have hot/fresh food coming out. If not it's usually food thats been sitting and isnt very good.

This place seems more like a golden corral than a Chinese buffet. The food was meh.. I found 3 things I liked, that's it. My girl ate alot of the seafood, and didn't complain lol.

Nothing exceptional. The service was ok. The food was ok. I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat there. Some improvements would be to move the plates to the end of each island to encourage customers to visit each one. Also a sign indicating restroom locations would help.

Server was attentive and pleasant, host was friendly and professional. Unfortunately the food was under par and restrooms needed attention. Based on many visits over an 8 year span the visits recently made in the last 3 years have declined in quality and quantity of food products. Optimistic for improvement in the future visits.

It feels as if you've eaten at 1 Grand Buffet, you've eaten at them all. There's a Grand Buffet where I live and it's not great by any means. I was hoping this one would be different being across the state, but not by much. Food was hot at the time I went to eat which is a plus, but nothing special. Sweet and sour Chicken is way overcooked, vegetables in the fried rice is hard. I've been to Grand buffets with Sushi, this one does not have any. The fried shrimp was good though. Wether they truly are a chain or not, I will keep my rating the same. Sodas taste way off, took 1 sip of a coke and changed to sprite, took 1 sip of the sprite and decided it wasn't the syrup but the water they use. Just my opinion. In other words, it was as expected which is not to expect anything great.

Large tables if you have a good sized party. Clean bathrooms. Good service. Decor looking old. Food is basic heat and eat, nothing special. They have frog legs and crawfish which I haven't seen in the buffets like this before.

first time here and in bay city. they must have moved location because we could not find it where goggle maps said so we went looking for another place to eat down the road and ended up finding it...very friend staff. huge selection of items - Asian, American and lots and lots of desserts. all the hot food i tried tasted the same with a weird taste - the cocktail sauce was so watery it did not stay on anything we dipped in it and was really bland until i added wasabi. all the puddings came from cans. the best part of the whole meal was the ice cream that you scoop yourself.

The food is great. The prices are great. The service is decent. The music is AWFUL! Loud pop music, with vulgar language. It's the same music, every time we go.

Not really Asian food mostly American food. Good desserts. No hand towels in men's restroom. Told the waitress, washed hands before I ate, went back after I had eaten and still no hand towels.

2020 - Quick, cheap, basic as hell. There are about a dozen Chinese-based dishes, and the rest is just kinda there. 2022 - it's super thin. Jalapeño chicken & General Tso's is about all the Chinese chicken.

I cannot claim this is the worst Chinese buffet, but it is down there. The food was bland and stone cold. The lights over the food were just incandescent lights, not heat lamps. The steamers were evidently weak, I could not finish more than one bite of most of the meat. The general Tso chicken was mostly gristle and the breading was gummy and gritty at the same time. Good ambience and architecture, adequate parking.

Why isn't there more Chinese Food on buffet? It's mostly seafood (shrimp shrimp shrimp) and American food. The past few chinese buffet restaurants iv been too has the same menu. They offer it on their separate menu but not on buffet. Frustrating.

I was in town for work. I decided on Grand Buffet largely because of the decent reviews it had. I was disappointed. Very few “Chinese” options at this Chinese Buffet. The few choices they had were not good. The ice cream is the best thing they had. Never thought I’d leave a buffet hungry, but on this trip I did...

The food was gross. Not very many items were marked. The ice cream was old and so gross that the kids didn't wouldn't even eat it. We won't be going back here.

The food was not good. It had been in the warmer to long. It was hard and really didn't have any taste .overall it was not a good time. Drove 35 miles to get there.

This place used to be so good. After covid, this place just went way downhill. Can't even be considered a Chinese buffet any longer. More than 3/4 of the stuff on the buffet isn't Chinese food in any way. The place is always stuffy now as well. Wouldn't hurt to turn the air down a little bit. The hostess and the servers are always great, it's just the food isn't good like it used to be, anymore.

Don’t know why I keep expecting the food to be hot, there is steam coming up from under the pans on the buffet but food is barely warm. On a scale of 1= cold - 10 = scalding hot I give it a “3” for barely warm. The general Taos chicken is not very good here, the sauce is very watery and no flavor and the bread chicken is always so hard to chew. Last I was here I paid at the table, i usually pay up front and my card got charged $2. Extra had to call to get it refunded. Not sure who messed up the waitress or who ever puts the tips in at the end of the day? Senior discount when you are 65. 😕otherwise with water and $1 tip it’s $15.

The egg roll was good. That's about it. Food was very bland. Some things tasted spoiled. No variety compared to some we've been to.

The food was not good. They don’t have a great selection. They had more American food than Chinese food. It was $14 a plate with a coke, totally not worth it. The chicken and broccoli was mushy and had a horrible flavor. Definitely do not recommend.

TERRIBLE!!! Food has no flavor, very bland! Let's not forget the Wonton Soup.....VERY oily. I grew up in Spain and we would cook a lot of food with olive oil, which of course food tends to be on the greasy/oily side, but this was way over the top!! The soup was PURE oil! Would NEVER EVER recommend!!!

2 adults and 2 kids came out to $50 for some nasty cold food that tasted like it was sitting out all day. The food had no flavor and the noodle were sticky. Terrible place I don’t recommend anyone to ever go there.

Went in there because Takashi told me to go see Jakuza there. I ended up getting bad service from the grandmaster because I was a disgrace to the sacred family. They did not give me my samurai sword and they ran out of the spicy chicken

My husband and I love Grand buffet. On the 11th I was out grocery shopping and decided to drop in on my way home and pick up a buffet to go. When I got home and proceed to eat I found 3 pennies in my shrimp fried rice. Threw the whole thing out. YOU ALWAYS GET SCREWED IN THE DRIVE THROUGH.

We have been going to this restaurant for years. Never had any issues. Last night we went and the food was just plain bad. I always get at least one piece of their meatloaf. Well last night I waited for a fresh pan to come out and when I got back to the table it was not only cold but rubbery. How is that even possible. We told our server that the food tasted horrible and her excuse was they were probably lacking cause it was slow, but thanked us for understanding. It was just horrible. On the way home I had to pull over cause my husband had to throw up. Was home maybe 5 minutes and vomited myself. Would like to have said it was a certain dish but no we eat totally different items when we to. Very unsatisfied. And will not return

I have never written a review but this place deserves it. The food was so stale and horrid. I threw most of the food away from how gross it was. The quality of the food was even more morbid. The chicken tasted funky. Everyone giving it 5 stars is lying. The food tastes horrible. In my 25 years of living, I have never tasted something from a restaurant that has tasted as horrible as this. The food tasted like it was days old. I love Chinese food and have tried it in China and different places in the US but this place will now haunt me as the worst meal I’ve had. DO NOT GO THERE.

We just ate here and it was some of the worst food I've ever had. Wish we hadn't eaten the food. I'm very worried about food poisoning at this point. Not only was the food very bland there was very little Chinese food and it looked very old. The ice cream scoop had mold on it. On top of it I was charged $45. Money wasted!

Nope. A few things were okay but a lot of the food I could tell was frozen and heated as opposed to being fresh/homemade. I also had food that tasted like it was going bad. The "ambience" was akward and dark and the restaurant wasn't very clean. I see lots of cars there during peak times and wonder what those people like about it because we were not impressed. We won't be returning.

First off the food was cold, rubbery, was not fresh, bland and soup was watered down. I came on a Saturday evening, I complained to the manager about the food she said it was hot it's kept on warmers, I told her that doesn't make it hot or fresh and the fact her and her staff watch every move you make and what you put on your plate is very uncomfortable. She did not try to offer a discount or anything to compensate for the food. I will never come back to this establishment. Bay city needs a real Chinese buffet this is not it👎🏾

What Chinese Buffet charges for a 3 year old? Yeah they can charge whatever they want but never in my life has a Chinese Buffet charged for a 3 years. Your food isn't even good enough for what you charge adults. Let alone $10 for a 3 year old.

The server was the only good thing, the food was horrible, then they brought new food out and just threw over the old food 😳 that is horrible they did it with the nuggets, shrimp, and the catfish!!! It was just not a good experience at all, they need to do better!
