Liberty Tree Tavern is a popular restaurant at Disney World, known for its Thanksgiving-style, all-you-can-eat family meals. Customers rave about the excellent service, delicious food (especially the pot roast and mashed potatoes), and charming atmosphere. Some find the colonial theme outdated.
Tip: Make a reservation, as they are punctual with seating times. Plan on taking your time and enjoying the experience.
This is a wonderful place to have dinner. The food is excellent from beginning to end. They give you more than enough to eat and it is all you can eat. The service staff is excellent and makes you feel welcome. It is a nice old style atmosphere that gives you vibes of what things may have been like long ago. It does get a little noisy when they are busy, but it is tolerable.
If you have the time, and a hungry dining party, this is the place to go at MK. Famously, they serve a large Thanksgiving-style meal. And I do mean large. The first helping of salad, rolls, turkey, ham, pot roast, potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and mac 'n cheese was more than my wife and I could eat. They offer to bring you more, and the meat is the plate you'll most likely want more of. And the toffee dessert is as advertised (killer good). Our server (Claire) was very personable and made it a special experience for my wife's birthday.
Love this place! Excellent food. It feels like Thanksgiving dinner when you eat here. They have my favorite dessert in all the parks. Oh and it's all you care to eat family style.
One of a kind place- they dont makem like this anymore Enjoy these places while there still around A real bar with real people - legendary live music through out the week along with Comedy shows sometimes The owner Kevin is a Endless Hole of Information and can hold his own in any subject on Earth and possibly beyond Classic Drinks- a few beers on tap The train runs behind the bar every hour The town smells like Sausage Walkable to anything downtown Elgin,Texas 30 minutes from Austin,Texas Dont miss out on these incredible Song Swaps the do there on Tuesdays between 2 booked artists 8-11pm See you there
This place was a 5/5 the food was family style it just kept coming, it was Thanksgiving style but the food was absolutely incredible. The service was good the salad was amazing. I wish I would have been hungrier! 35 minute wait but well worth it
We had a wonderful experience at Liberty Tree Tavern in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The food was delicious, very hearty, and incredibly filling — exactly what we needed after a long day in the park. Our waitress was excellent: friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. We really enjoyed everything and left very happy. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a satisfying and classic Disney dining experience.
We recently dined at this wonderful restaurant that offers a fantastic traditional meal experience. I highly recommend making a reservation, as they were punctual with our seating time. The service was exceptional throughout our visit. We opted for the package that includes three main dishes, along with unlimited salad, main courses, and dessert. It felt like a traditional Thanksgiving feast, and everything was delicious. The salad and turkey were standout dishes, complemented perfectly by the condiments. My wife particularly enjoyed the dessert. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely return for another meal. Great place.
Tons of food, and extra if you need it. Flat fee for everything including soft drinks. The salad was great, the food was all good as well, and the bread was also really great. I had a glass of wine and it was also just great for me. The included dessert was ice cream and a cookie or something with chocolate and maybe nuts, I really don't remember, I just know it was great, that's what I left thinking, that's what I'll remember. We did have a really annoying issue though. We had reservations for 630 but they couldn't take us before 7 due to some delays earlier. We got in and only got finished right before 8, just before the fireworks. This really bothered me. By the time we got near main street they would not let us enter and we got ushered through a back alley to get back to main street much much further away and after the show had started. This is the other thing I will always remember, because that was important to me, and I didn't get the view I wanted on my last day in Disney world. Be very careful and do not trust your reservations.
We had an amazing meal! The food was great, the service from David (Milford,ct) was fantastic!
"The Thanksgiving Restaurant" is the name I've heard before. We've been going to Liberty Tree for over 10+ years, and think of it as a charming and pleasant restaurant to sit for a while and take our time. The restaurant serves family style with a set offering (which can be altered for pickier kids, allergies or dietary restrictions), but it's kind of a serve one, serve all sort of deal. Meals include choice of non-alcoholic beverages, and begin with a simple salad with shallot dressing and homemade rolls. The meal consists of turkey, roasted pork loin with mushroom gravy (outstanding, ask for extra gravy if you're a mushroom fan) and pot roast. The pot roast is the standard by which we compare all other pot roasts. It is the best we've had. Sides include mac and cheese, whipped potatoes, green beans, stuffing, Cranberry relish and turkey gravy. See why it's the Thanksgiving restaurant? Dessert is outstanding. A sticky toffee gooey cake with ice cream in a skillet. Everything is all you can eat. Dining room is charming, relaxing and colonial. We often take about 2 hours here to refresh, eat slowly, enjoy coffee with dessert and recharge. Several cute colonial dining rooms make up the dining space, decorated to period. Each room is themed after a historic figure from the 18th century.
My sister and I love this Disney restaurant! It was our second visit. It's all-you-can-eat but the servings are big enough that you may not need second servings. I'm a vegetarian and the server was kind and sensitive about my options. She knew which items fit in my diet and which items to avoid. They changed the vegetarian "meatloaf" recipe and I liked it better than the first Impossible recipe. The meal is a Thanksgiving-type meal with potatoes, veggies and stuffing (not vegetarian). I think they also changed the toffee dessert recipe. I didn't like it as much as the previous version but it was still tasty. I like the atmosphere and it fits well with the historical America theme. It's a cozy and cool place to take a break. Make reservations ahead. Also, if you take the time to talk to your servers in the Disney restaurants, they usually have very interesting histories. We've met a couple people now who love working for Disney and have been there for decades.
First time visitors. Wonderful experience. Very well themed. Calm, quiet. Comfortable waiting area and Comfortable chairs at table. Waiting staff was excellent in keeping in character for the restaurant. Big shout out to Michael for making our experience magical in every way. We had some special food requirements that he met and exceeded. Thought the tab was very reasonable for the experience. The food was also excellent. Definitely should work this one in to your schedule . #Lunch #ice cream #service #Americana #salad

By far my favorite restaurant at Disney World. The service is always great, atmosphere is delightful, and the food is right up my alley with a Thanksgiving delight. We come here every year. If you visit Disney World you should always dine here for lunch or dinner.
We dined here on Dec 24/23 for our Christmas dinner. We were a family of 5 and were seated right away. Our waiter was very gracious and prompt in bringing out our drinks and starter bread. He brought out delicious platters of turkey, pork and pot roasted. Mashed potatoes, gravy etc. It was all delicious!! Even the two picky eaters in our group loved it. It was all you can eat and the drinks were endless. The food was fantastic and we couldn't have asked for a better Christmas dinner away from home. The service and atmosphere were great and we were stuffed to the gills. The only downside was right after we went on Tron lol!!!!! My sister and I had to sit in the back seat part because we were so full lol!!! If you're going to have your holiday meal here, definitely book 2 months in advance.
Booked our lunch reservation here on the Disney World app a month prior. Was not disappointed. We opted for the AYCE style meal, which was way more than enough for two starving adults. We couldn’t pass up on unlimited turkey, stuffing, and pot roast. Service was exceptional and the colonial themed decor was well done.
Never had a problem here, food always has been good, reasonably priced for being in Disney World. Service is always good, themed well including the servers, its almost like being part of the show. Kids food selection is maybe not the best, but ask for chips and ketchup and you can't go wrong. They are very accommodating, I think they share a kitchen with Diamond Horseshoe next door and skipper canteen over the back, so they can steal items from each if needed. Ooey gooey cake a must.
Bruce was a great server, very helpful and attentive. Other than that the food was amazing definitely recommend. Ericka and Marilyn were really nice.
I can’t say enough about how wonderful our dining experience was today at Disney’s Liberty Tree Tavern! The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly made the visit unforgettable was the exceptional service from start to finish. Our waiter, Michael, was an absolute gem—so sweet, kind, and attentive. We were traveling with our 1-year-old toddler, who was starting to get fussy, and Michael went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Whatever we needed, he was right there with a smile and genuine kindness. He truly turned what could have been a stressful meal into a joyful one. Disney and the restaurant are truly lucky to have him!
Had lunch here today. Would heartily recommend getting a reservation otherwise you might have an exceedingly long wait time. The decor is quaint and there is a nice waiting area in the front with seating and a fireplace. You are called up to either side of the restaurant by your family name and where you come from. You're then directed to a particular room of the restaurant which has a founding father namesake. We had the Jefferson room which was nicely appointed. We weren't feeling all that hungry so we opted for ala carte intstead of the all you can eat 39bdollar a person option. I ate the namesake Bell Burger which is a very nicely sized cheeseburger with a poached egg and lobster along with fries. The mix of lobster and burger was interesting and the egg was perfectly poached. My partner had the Pilgrim's Feast which she said was delicious. Her gravy went quite well with my fries! Overall a great dining experience in the Magic Kingdom, one of the best I have! Try it out if you are here, a much better option than pricier fare like Be Our Guest.
Best family style meal I've experienced at WDW. All the meats were amazing: turkey, pork, and beef. The dinner included: All 3 meats, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Mac & Cheese, Green beans, Stuffing, Cranberry sauce. Dinner Rolls. Even the salad was delicious with it's honey dressing. Then it ends with Ooey Gooey Cake. It's all served family style but can be refilled if you need more. The Sangria was good as well. Overall it was my favorite dining experience. Best food selections and good sized portions for the family to enjoy.
As a professional growing boy, you can trust my opinion. This place low-key slaps. Turkey, 10/10, Mac n cheese 10/10, bread 10/10, vegetables, no comment, I'm not a rabbit so therefore I do not eat anything a rabbit would eat. All you can eat, high quality food. Two things that come together at the tavern. There's nothing else to say besides I 100% recommend it. I also recommend making a reservation, we got in in 10 minutes.
Family style holiday meal. Turkey, roast beef, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy. green beans, salad. Husband enjoyed beers and I had white sangria. Amour favorite place for lunch. Enjoy the parade out the front door and take a seat. Bathroom is hilariously small and old.
This was our second time dining at Liberty Tree, after I swore that Disney was a one and done for us- bahaha! The first time was with our little family, and this time for a family girls trip. If we visit Magic Kingdom again, we will HAVE to eat here. It's simply a must at this point! This is the meal that you weren't aware that your body was craving! When you are walking 30k steps a day, do your body a favor and make reservations here. Very laid back & relaxed, not much to stimulate your or the kids, out of the heat & in air conditioning, and a great home cooked meal= I promise that it's a nice little break & reprieve that you didn't even know your body/mind would need. To start off a meal with a tasty salad is a huge bonus! Turkey, pork & pot roasts. Stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, DIVINE cranberry sauce (I don't normally like cran sauce). End with ooey gooey toffee cake. Our last server told us that it's okay to order the meal backwards and start with your dessert to make sure you have room for it- that was great advice! This is 5 stars all the way around. It's served family style and you can eat as much as your want and request more of anything at anytime. With it being Disney, it is pricier, but it's well worth it to fuel you up before you head back into the park.
What a fun experience. This is a all you care to eat thanksgiving themed dinner. The food was very good and very cozy. Truly tasted like thanksgiving dinner. The decor was very colonial cozy feeling. But the reason I’m giving a 5/5 was because of our amazing waitress Rockee. She was so fun, so personable from start to finish. She really made it feel like we were at a family dinner. Always making sure we were doing ok. She even gave us a little something special at the end with dessert cause my husband and I just got married a few months prior. She made the night very special. Would definitely recommend trying to give this place a try.
Liberty Tree Tavern is a great spot for comfort food and Dianey Service. We had lunch reservations in mid- afternoon, so we also enjoyed the opportunity to cool down. The Disney app is great for notifications and reminders of your reservation time and when your table is ready. The decor is early colony style, and comfort of chairs is good. The price includes everything but drinks. They have a full selection of soft drinks and a variety of options from the bar. You can eat all you want, but our initial serving was plenty. We wish we had another person with us because it was too much for the two of us. The house made dressing on the salad is a delightful and light honey shallot vinaigrette...yummy! Don't fill up on rolls even though they bring plenty! Dessert was a cookie sundae, but we opted for the fresh sorbet since it was a bit lighter and has no added sugar. There are restrooms available in the restaurant, but they are very small for the number of people the restaurant holds. We loved it!
I’m so glad we didn’t skip libertytreetavern because it was a wonderful experience. It tasted like real home cooking and for all that you care to eat including many varieties of drinks and salad and desert plus main courses- not a bad price. My mom is #plantbased and they have so many options now! She got everything from salad to desert plant based and it was delish. I recommend the plant based buns over the regular ones- yum! Thumbs up! Elena our server was wonderful as well! The restaurant Is cool, cozy and an experience. We loved it.
This is our favorite place to go for food at Magic Kingdom. It's Thanksgiving every day. We always end up getting the Patriot's Platter: Roasted Turkey Breast, Pot Roast, and Oven-roasted Pork with Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Herb Stuffing, and House-made Macaroni and Cheese It also comes with rolls, salad, and Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake for dessert. The service has always been good. My favorite is the Pot Roast, but it is all good. That Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake is where it is at though. Worth the trip just for that. It feels like I am coming home anytime we go here. I'm sure we will have some trip to Disney that we don't book here, but it won't quite be the same when we do.
I love it here! It truly takes you back to the olden times! I’m here to say the food is very much like a homemade thanksgiving meal- not the kind you find at your run of the mill hometown buffets. I’m still obsessing over the dressing on the salad. It’s some type of vinaigrette and it pairs so perfectly with the sweetness of the salad but also offers a savory side too! Don’t get me started on the sides- I’m a carb lover- so my favorites were the stuffing and Mac n cheese! The rolls were also to die for with an herb seasoning! Lastly, the dessert was some type of amazing toffee sundae! We only wish they let you take it home in boxes!
We have heard mixed reviews about this place, so we had to try it ourselves to see. We have no complaints. The atmosphere is awesome. The CM are very friendly. The Thanksgiving All You Care to Enjoy Family Style Meal is excellent. The whole meal was enjoyed by all. I enjoyed the Mac and Cheese and I don't like Mac and Cheese. Everything was Perfect.
Amazing food. REALLY good with allergies. Emma at the check in was so great with my daughter, talking about dresses twirling and remembered the conversation later. It made her feel special. The food was gooood
The liberty Tavern is a great Place to eat! Talk about comfort food And if it’s a bit nippy out, the fireplace atmosphere along with everything they bring out is comforting and reminds you of the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Next to homemade, I have never had turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings that tasted that close to homemade in a restaurant. Delicious and a definite five stars!! Enjoy!
The servers here are always nice and funny. The food here is always good, and with reservations, it's not a long wait to get in. A favorite dish of mine is the mashed potatoes. The atmosphere here is nice and comfortable, and I was full by the time I left. The staff were kind and joking, and they always filled my glass.
Excellent food - The loveliest mashed potatoes I've ever had, with a lovely roast turkey & pot roast. I even loved the veggies. Excellent service right from the door... Teresa who served our table was super nice & warm... everyone was nice & warm; I even got complimented. If you're in the park, definitely make a stop by here.
It's been a while since we have had a chance to review this place. It is still one of the best at Magic Kingdom. The brownie was replaced by a toffee cake but we aren't upset at all! They also have some plant based options as well for those who need it. 2017 - Great food at an outstanding price. We ate so much Disney lost money at our table, the turkey and cranberry was the star with the brownie close behind. We had a feast and great service in the georga Martha Washington room you need to request it!
We ate here because they were not on a wait but so happy we did. The style is very colonial, calm, peaceful (cottage-core). Our waiter was so sweet and caring. Food was delicious. Honestly we we not expecting such perfectly cooked mashed potatoes, green beans, braised beef, salad, and bread rolls from a theme park. From the gravy to the stuffing, this meal topped Thanksgiving at my grandmas. Peaceful getaway from the mayhem for a moment.
Loud and lively, the Liberty Tree Tavern is your place for a not-your-average theme park meal. Colonial America theming and well prepared and presented Thanksgiving inspired menu. Wine and beer available, too! Price is fixed and food is served family style. Save room for dessert; it's a gooey delight! Service was excellent! Reservations are a must! This place was PACKED at 3:30 PM. It is also very loud, but in a good way. Highly recommended!
Very delicious but heavy food. Great service. This place is better for winter trips is my take. It’s hard bc this restaurant deserves a lot of time and praise but being in the middle of magic kingdom I’m sure it gets overshadowed.
Been here mutiple times and never dissapointed! The turkey is crazy moist but the cranberry relish is strong so use sparingly! The mac and cheese is wonderfully thick without being too rich. We LOVE the pork chops, pot roast, green beans, mashed potaoes and gravy. Theres something special about the ooey gooey butter toffee cake though. Its like a blondie and a toffee cake had a baby and covered in ice cream!
Really amazing lunch. It's just so nice to step inside around lunch time and be treated to a fantastic three course meal+ bread and a couple Sam Adams. Everything served was excellent. The turkey, the rolls, the salad, everything. The sticky toffee cake, which I ate too quickly to get a picture of, deserves a special note and is a must have. We were seated in the large westerny space next door with the player piano and it was very nice actually.
Well, I officially ate to top 3 expensive restaurants in Magic Kingdom, This place is Master Of Comfort Foods... $50 per person and you get unlimited supply of food hand delivered to your table without getting up.. all you can eat special, including a delightful dessert and a soft drink l.... Will come back... Reservations only
First time having LTT, and holy smokes what took me so long to dine here?! Our food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Our server Jenn was attentive and ensured we never had to ask for a refill, which for a Diet Coke drinker, is everything! This place will be a new staple for me when I want a solid meal at a sit-down restaurant option within Magic Kingdom.
The decor was very authentic to the time it represents. The cast members were also dressed for the time and were very attentive. The food was served family style and in large portions. Very delicious. I recommend only going if you are hungry and don't mind drinking unsweetened tea.
We loved everything about this restaurant. The setting/theme along with the Thanksgiving type of food offering makes it feel very "Americana". I will mention it again. Like every sit down restaurant in WDW, please make a reservation as soon as that 60 day window opens up. After we checked in through the app, we were only waited about 8 minutes before being seated. From that point on the service was excellent and very attentive. Restrooms are located on the second floor of the restaurant.
My family and I enjoyed our lunch at LTT. Inspired by American Thanksgiving dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern offers coma-inducing fare--just like celebrating Thanksgiving dinner with the family at your mom's house. I just need a couch to take a nap after. For those dining in groups, Liberty Tree Tavern is a great option. The restaurant offers a family-style dining experience where everyone can share and enjoy the set menu. Moreover, it's all-you-can-eat, ensuring no one leaves the table hungry. My favorite items are the roasted turkey and pot roast. The Bill of Fare also includes oven-roasted pork, mixed greens salad, mac 'n cheese, mashed potato & gravy, seasonal veggies, herbed stuffing, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages are available but for an extra charge. Ending the meal with the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake is top-tear! Save room for dessert! Plant-based menu options are also available upon request. The staff and our main server were excellent. They were friendly and attentive throughout our whole meal. The dining space is homey and vintage, with dark-aged wood furniture and matching decor on the walls. It's a relaxing vibe for the most part, but it does get a little noisy when it's a packed house.
Our family decided to splurge on the "all you can enjoy" offering of Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom. The food was delicious and the service was great! Our family style meal consisted of Mixed Green Salad with apples, cranberries and cheese with Rolls. Followed by Turkey, Pot Roast and Pork. For sides there were Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Mac and Cheese, Stuffing and Gravy! The meal finished with a dessert of Sticky Toffee Cake with ice cream. If at any point you need more of an item, you just ask your server. For our group of 7, we asked for additional mashed potatoes and turkey. I should add, the meal also includes coffee, tea, milk, soda and lemonade. We had such a delicious meal. It was a great experience! If you don't mind the $42 per person I would highly recommend!
Amazing food and super friendly staff. The turkey was really good and the dessert was the best part. The potatoes were so so. The Mac and cheese was more soupy than cheesy. $40 per person. The rolls were softy and good. According to the others in my group it is the best salad they had in a long time, they now want the recipe for it.
The food was excellent, family-style, and unlimited. I particularly liked the mashed potatoes and turkey gravy, and the pot roast. Despite the food, my favorite part was actually our server, Teresa; she made the whole experience. She's kind, attentive, and seems to genuinely enjoy her job. She's also pretty funny which is always appreciated. At one point a member of my group stated they were too full for the desert -which ended up being delicious- and Teresa responded by saying "Well, it's family-style, so *don't* help yourself. I'll be back in the future for sure.
Food is plentiful and amazing. Roast is out of this world. Only negative is the desert. Its awful. They used to have actual apple pie which was great. The new deserts are ready made, a minus 1.
Very good food - and lots of it! I found the pot roast to be absolutely scrumptious and my favorite. The turkey was moist, which can be difficult to achieve for white meat. The pork roast was dry and tough however. The salad was good and the rolls were soft and tasty. The green beans were a standout. The stuffing was a bit salty for me, but tasted good. The toffee, ice cream and chocolate dessert was delicious. Overall a top choice to eat at in the Magic Kingdom. The only disappointment was they were running well behind when we arrived for our reservation and had to wait a half hour. Our server was excellent.
Great experience. All you can eat fare. Wonderful staff and service. Very nice atmosphere. Clean and fresh. Centrally located, so not far from many other spots of interest. Had a wonderful time. Would definately come back. Would recommend it to others. First course - salad, garlic bread Second course - turkey (white and dark), pot roast, stuffing, cranberry, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy, mac n' cheese Third course - a cake, cream cheese, health bar, vanilla ice cream served hot mess
The food here was delicious! It’s simple American Thanksgiving food but really well done. The stuffing was so good. As a southerner I’m partial to cornbread dressing instead of stuffing but I was really impressed with how good the stuffing here was. The Turkey was moist and had great flavor. If you mix the Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce together, it’s so good. They bring it all out family style and you can eat as much as you want. The reorders are fast. Everything was really good, I can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
We loved this place!! They only serve Thanksgiving food. Family style. Basically all you can eat. The salad was amazing. We were a party of 6 and were seated within 10 mins.
Must try! I love this restaurant and would definitely return again. I'm sad that I didn't know about it sooner. My husband's now a huge fan too. It is a peaceful respite from the hot parks. The theming is perfect. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Each room is dedicated to a different historical figure. Perfect for history lovers. The food and service are really fantastic too. My favourite was the macaroni and cheese. My husband's was the pulled pork
They do a full gluten free option my daughter had a full thanksgiving type feast and it was all safe for her. We dream about the food and the relaxing environment that was safe for to enjoy!
Although the atmosphere isn't necessarily what you would expect in the Magic Kingdom, this isn't a restaurant to overlook if you're looking for an excellent experience. My fiance and I had a wonderful experience with Omar as our server who was delightful and personable. Food was well above expectations and the desert is absolutely unreal. I also have a good allergy that Omar went above and beyond for, including asking about cross contamination, etc. Thank you Omar for giving us an excellent dining experience!
Probably one of my new favourite places to dine in at Disney. The family style dining offers plenty of food for everyone at the table ranging from a variety of meats and veggies to topping it off with a fantastic toffee cake for all to enjoy ! The atmosphere is homey and welcoming and the cast members are friendly and warm. Highly recommend for those wanting to enjoy a quiet sit down meal with the option to eat as much as you care to! We ate here then stick around for a little while to watch the fireworks !
Okay this isn't cheap. I think we played $40 a person. So for the four of us it was $190. But it was really really good. Family style we didn't know that when we made reservations. But we got salad bread and then basically Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings with also pot roast and pork. And then for dessert we had some sort of coffee cake with ice cream that was amazing.
For us the Liberty Tree Tavern may very well be the best food in Disney. Roasted turkey, pork and pot roast, with salad, rolls, mashed potatoes and mac and Cheese. Top that off with a ooey gooey cake and ice cream. If you need more it’s all you care to eat. Great service and atmosphere.
We made a reservation here without knowing it was a set menu with only one appetizer, entre, and desert option for everyone. The price seemed crazy for food I couldn’t even pick and I was super disappointed… but when the food came ???? It’s all you can eat so it PLENTY, and the food was SO GOOD ??? So yea I completely change my mind, best food in the park.
Our family loves the Liberty Tree Tavern because the food is very good. Think thanksgiving meal type of food. All the food is served family style and is all you care to enjoy. It starts out with a very good salad with honey shallot vinaigrette and some bread with butter. Then the main platter comes out which has turkey, pork tenderloin, and beef pot roast all around a huge portion of stuffing with a side gravy. The stuffing is amazing! It also has mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and macaroni and cheese. For dessert you get a chocolate toffee cookie with vanilla ice cream which is very good. Sodas are included as part of the price of the meal and children ages 3-9 habe a reduced price. I highly recommend coming here and trying, you won’t be disappointed.
Wonderful restaurant. This is an American buffet type restaurant. They have salad to start. Then main course of baked sliced turkey, pork, and very tender pot roast. Green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing and cranberry sauce. A boat of turkey gravy and Mac and cheese come on the side. You can have another plate, all or just some options as you prefer. They also offer desert but I was too full to try it. Delicious food, and this is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Disney. I highly recommend it.
This place is amazing, the food is so high quality and it's literally like having Thanksgiving dinner in an all you can eat, brought to your table style. I love coming here and it's my favorite thing about magic kingdom at this point. Eat a great meal after a long day, walk out with an excellent view of the fireworks and then slowly make your way home. It's an excellent experience and I'll be back for sure!
Did the 60-day advance reservation for Christmas day. The fixed 3-course Thanksgiving style meal, served family style was perfect for Christmas day. Wonderful service. Appreciate the way all of the serving staff cooperate with both serving and clearing away the plates between courses. As for the food: the salad and dessert were wonderful. The main entre was good, maybe not spectacular. Green beans were done nicely, not overcooked. Spouse had the white wine sangria, and loved it. Hearty 20th century food in an atmosphere themed to colonial America
On Dec 30th, 2025 we had dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern. I have a plethora of eating restrictions and was embarrassed that they were going to send the chef out to discuss my dining options. Chef Andrew did an amazing job! He took the time to create a meal that was not only delicious, but also made me feel included. Thank you Chef Andrew!
This place is worth the hype. I can see why many patrons say this is their favorite place in Magic Kingdom. Starting with the warm, cozy atmosphere and friendly greeting from your host and waiter it just gets better from there. Big glasses of water, iced tea, Coke are brought out immediately. We had an exceptional waiter, Heather, who talked about the menu, the history of the restaurant, and made sure she checked our beverages and plates often. We loved the salads, fresh spring greens with a tasty honey vinaigrette. The rolls with butter were standard, but ok. The meat platter was the star! The roast turkey, pot roast of beef, and pork were all hot, moist and tasty. I commend the kitchen staff for keeping the vast amounts of meat moist and warm all day. The mashed potatoes and green beans very good, too. My husband and son loved the macaroni and cheese. I loved the corn bread stuffing. There was no need for secondplates as it was plenty of food. Save room for dessert: a gooey, chocolate toffee cake with 2 big scoops of ice cream. Granted the cake pieces are small in comparison to the scoops of ice cream, but very tasty. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving feast in August, 100 degrees outside, but can all use some good comfort food any time of the year! Heather, thank you for your dedicated work to your patrons. Disney World is lucky to have you. Highly recommend. Will return someday for sure!
We ate lunch here during our 4 day Disney visit. It was the best meal of our trip!! Everyone loved it from my daughter to the grand parents!!! The gooey cookie for dessert was the perfect ending to the meal! Nobody wanted to let it go to waste! Will definitely go back if we visit again.
Best hearty, homemade style meal I’ve ever had at magic kingdom! Delicious and abundant food, nice ambience and fast- friendly service. Our server Heather was beyond amazing and attentive to all our needs. Food was great, portions are big and you can always repeat if you want. The place is chill out and it gives you a good break from the sun and the craziness of the park. Highly recommended for families and for whoever want some nice meal away from the park fast food. We will be coming back!!
What lovely place to dine. Food was very nicely cooked and plentiful. Fixed menu includes soft drinks, the "happy drinks menu" (alcoholic drinks) are extra to the fixed price. Dont forget the gratuity around 18- 22% extra. Michael our waiter looked after us and made sure we stayed safe as my wife has a nut allergy. Only downside is you rush to eat as the park is still waiting for more adventures!
Food was amazing! I typically don’t go for family style because I don’t eat meat but they provided a vegan option, so I was super excited. Their rolls are amazing, well everything was. I recommend this to everyone, since it’s all you can eat try to skip breakfast.
This place has delicious food. We enjoyed everything very much. It is pricy but includes salad, bread, several meats and sides (all you can eat) plus dessert and soft drinks. We got a late lunch and it held us over for the rest of the day. The bathrooms outside are better than the one in the restaurant. Also our server wasn’t super enthusiastic or attentive as you may expect at a sit down Disney restaurant. I would definitely go back though.
Really enjoyed our meal here. Liked the laid back colonial atmosphere. Our server was fantastic. Friendly and amazingly efficient. Others walking by also would clear dishes which was very helpful. Didn’t have to wait for more food as he was around enough to ask for things without a wait. The food was delicious too. I don’t eat turkey, and the mac and cheese just kind of tasted like Kraft, but other than that we really enjoyed it all. The salad, ham, stuffing, and toffee cake were all very tasty and the standouts. Green beans, pot roast, and mashed potatoes were good too. Price was good for the amount and quality of the food. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Probably the best all you can eat/buffet we’ve had at Disney.

Food: - Pot roast and mashed potatoes: some of the best I’ve ever had. - Dessert (cookie and ice cream combo): disappointing the second time; presentation and quality were not consistent. - Overall, the food is good but, needs to be consistent. Service: - First visit: excellent overall experience. - Second visit: service was still good, but dessert was brought out half-melted for a birthday, which was disappointing. Atmosphere: - Always felt warm and inviting. One bad experience doesn’t outweigh the good. I’ll definitely come back, hoping the third visit brings back that first-time magic.
Down home food with a cozy atmosphere. The food is great as is the service. It's a process and experience all in one, so plan on taking your time and enjoying it.

I would have rated them 5 stars if it wasn’t for the service. First reservation time of the day, yet it took them 10 mins to seat us. Then our waitress was extremely slow. To initially arrive, to bring our drinks, to bring food... and we wanted seconds of many dishes and felt as though were asking for her to bring us gold, she was reluctant to bring more of anything.... and then we had to wait and wait for it (mind you even when we left the place was empty) the food tasted good, and trust me we ate every crumb just to put the waitress at ease to bring more. The ooey gooey toffee cake was the best. And she really didn’t want to bring out extra of that. But we made her. We will go back, knowing that just one waitress does not ruin the restaurant.
For themed dining, Liberty Tree definitely delivers. It has that colonial feel to it. For great comfort food, this restaurant also hits the mark. Food is served family style although for a party of 2 we each received a plate of food that could be replenished. Pot roast, Turkey, pork, stuffing, mashed potatoes and mac n cheese as well as salad and dessert. I would say the only off thing was our service. Our server was polite and professional, but overall lacked that Disney touch. I would recommend for those looking for really good traditional comfort food.
The Liberty Tree Tavern is in the Magic Kingdom. It's a sit-down restaurant with a set menu of bottomless dishes (or at least it was when were there in November 2023). The food was surprisingly tasty! Lots of American favorites- pot roast (superb), turkey, roast pork, macaroni and cheese, rolls, salad, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. The green beans were quite good and fresh. Our server was lovely, but not very attentive, unfortunately. I'm not sure if that's a tactic to avoid refilling dishes, or just because it was the end of the night. The setting is nice- 18th century style.
This was the first restaurant I ate at at Disney and it did not disappoint. There's a reason why this is recommended by so many Disney blogs and videos! Liberty Tree Tavern features a fixed menu with a Thanksgiving feast theme. If I recall correctly, it was around $100 USD for two including taxes and tip and it's the same price and offering for lunch and dinner. For that reason, the next time I come it'll probably be at dinner so I can eat more and take my time since it's all you can eat style! My favourite item was, surprisingly, the salad. It was just so refreshing, my boyfriend and I both had two! Edit 2024/03/27 - Just visited for the second time. I'm removing a star as I did not feel like it was worth the price of $42 per person. The taste is still great - I really do enjoy the food. But I found it hard to justify the end price. There's only so much Thanksgiving feast someone can eat! But I would come again - maybe if they had a single platter option that wasn't all you can eat.
Pricey but worth it for the dinner meal. Quality, all you care to eat, family style meal. I dropped it to four stars instead of five because our server recommended we get drinks that were not part of the all you can eat menu so we had up-charges we weren’t expecting. The food is great, the turkey is flavorful and the pot roast is astonishingly delicious and tender. The sides are good too - mashed potatoes, stuffing and mac and cheese will make you go back for more. The yeast rolls are classic and the toffee cake dessert is wonderful. If you don’t want an up-charge, don’t get the frozen lemonade! I made the reservation in advance on the app and I recommend you do that too, so you can eat when you want and there’s no wait!
Deserves 4.5. Definitely recommend going when not super busy. First time i went (at 5pm) it took 10mins to get my salad and 20mins to get my dinner. Second time I went (at 3pm), the service was unbelievably fast. I love the salad, bread, turkey, and dessert. One of the better Disney all-you-can-eat table service restaurants for sure.
We have eaten here two times so far and both times the food and service were good. The first time was still during COVID so masks were needed to enter the park but could be taken off at the table, the second time was Oct 22. This place is good if you want traditional Thanksgiving comfort food. It also does an excellent job on making that food gluten free. When we went we have one GF allergy so they bring out two separate plates each with all the items, so neither is left out. Want some GF Mac n cheese, or gravy and stuffing it's all there. I also enjoy the tavern punch which is lemon Dole whip and 7up. It's extra but worth it, as the lemon flavor helps digestion out so you can barely have room for dessert. Price is reasonable consider what other family style restaurant charge. Enjoy the pictures of latest visit.
I do not usually enjoy buffets or all you can eat dining, and rarely visit these restaurants while in Disney. With that said, I was pleasantly surprised at the Liberty Tree Tavern. We were visiting the MK during the Very Merry Christmas Party and wanted to eat in the park. The food reminded me of an American home style Thanksgiving. The dessert was super sweet, but delicious. I left feeling full and the price was reasonable. I would definitely return.
The meal was amazing! The bread was delicious, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted great. I also love that soda is included — that’s such a nice touch. The dessert was phenomenal and really topped off the experience perfectly. My only concern was when we arrived to check in. The employees were outside speaking with another party, and we were left waiting even though we had arrived first. A quicker acknowledgment or greeting would have made the arrival feel more welcoming. Overall, though, the food and dining experience itself were excellent, and I would definitely return.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in Magic Kingdom, times are changing and so is the quality of food here. Turkey and stuffing all year even in hot humid Florida still good flavors , but the beef is just shredded watery mush , and the house made Mac and cheese is water logged too. I like the Colonial style setting but servers are out numbered by guests and don't even get orders right even though it is pre fixed
While we appreciate Magic Kingdom offering a dedicated plant-based meal at Liberty Tree Tavern, the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. The romanticized colonial theme feels outdated and uncomfortable, especially considering its oversimplified depiction of a deeply unjust time in history — a trend unfortunately seen elsewhere at WDW (like Port Orleans Riverside). Zero points for atmosphere. That said, our waitstaff was lovely and attentive. We were pleasantly surprised by a vegan bread service — soft, warm rolls brushed with garlic oil that were so good we immediately asked for more. The Tavern Salad was crisp, fresh, and nicely balanced with dried cranberries, apples, and a sweet dressing. The Impossible Meatloaf was flavorful, though the texture leaned rubbery, and it really could’ve benefited from a gravy or sauce. The mashed potatoes and green beans were perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. Dessert was the low point — Johnny Appleseed’s Warm Apple Cake was neither warm nor particularly cake-like, with a dense, bready texture. The caramel sauce was excellent, and the coconut whip was a bright spot, but it wasn’t enough to save the dish. Overall, the meal itself was decent and we appreciated the plant-based options. Here’s hoping Disney eventually updates the theming in Liberty Square to reflect a more thoughtful and inclusive narrative.

Visited here on August 24th a Thursday. They handled my reservation on time and seated us quickly. The salad my wife received was inedible. She said it tasted like old salad with no dressing from last week. Our server took our family of 4 order without writing it down. I HATE THIS! IT'S NOT IMPRESSIVE, JUST STOP IT! With that being said, the order was correct. Still not impressed. I ordered the burger, wife got the Patriots platter, kids got the mac n cheese, and pasta. Overall, the food was very good. My burger was cooked perfect. The one thing I also hate is not having pickles on a burger as an option. So I had to cut my pickle spear up and put those on my burger, kind of annoying. My burger was excellent, but....I had to wait for more ketchup because this place only gives you a tiny cup of ketchup. So my burger had to cool down while I wait.. My kids enjoyed their food also. The bathrooms are super small. One stall and one urinal. The ooey gooey toffee cake is amazing also! But...it wasn't hot. Or even warn. It's on a skillet for crying out load, but still cold.....Overall, the food was excellent but there's a lot of little things that annoyed me.
We have eaten here many times and have found that the food quality is inconsistent. We have had many delicious meals here and several disappointingly bad ones. Our recent meal was terrible. Very salty, runny gravy, meat quality was not good. We were given cheap ham slices not the pork we have had before. Turkey was low quality and salty. The beef was good quality but again, very salty. The best part of the meal was the salad and rolls. Dessert was low quality and tasted just okay. For $45 per person quality needs to match the price. Definitely did not.
Very disappointing experience compounded by inept customer service- this is how businesses fail and lose long term customers. We had a confirmed reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern that was made months in advance for Christmas Day. This was not a casual walk-up or a last-minute plan. This was a holiday reservation at one of Disney’s signature dining locations, planned well ahead of time and treated seriously on our end. When we arrived, the main entrance area was completely blocked by a parade route. There was no alternate access provided, no cast member directing guests to another entrance, and no communication from the restaurant or the park about how reservation holders were supposed to enter. We stood there, along with other confused guests, for more than 20 minutes. It was physically impossible to reach the host stand. By the time we were finally able to get through, we were told our reservation had been canceled and that the restaurant was no longer willing to seat us. No grace period. No acknowledgment that Disney’s own parade logistics caused the delay. Just a flat denial of service. We escalated immediately. First to the on-site manager. Then to Guest Services. Every single person involved gave the same hollow response: “Sorry, there’s nothing we can do.” On Christmas Day. After Disney itself prevented us from accessing the restaurant. After months of planning. What makes this worse is not just the mistake, but the complete absence of accountability or problem solving. Disney is famous for service recovery. Or at least it used to be. This experience showed the opposite. No attempt to honor the reservation. No alternative seating. No compensation. No proactive solution. Just a shrug and a script. This was not a weather issue. This was not guest error. This was an internal coordination failure between entertainment operations and dining, followed by a management failure to correct it. Liberty Tree Tavern may have a good menu, but none of that matters when operational incompetence and rigid policy override basic common sense and customer care. Dropping a Christmas Day reservation because guests were blocked by a Disney parade is unacceptable at any level, but especially for a company that prides itself on “magic.” Disney needs to see this and respond. Not with another apology, but with an explanation of how a paid, confirmed reservation can be invalidated due to Disney-created access issues, and why managers are empowered to do nothing when that happens. If this is now the standard, guests deserve to know before trusting Disney with important family moments and holidays. This experience damaged our trust in Disney dining and, frankly, in Disney guest services as a whole. One star, and that is being generous.
Having spent 3 days at Disney, this has to be the worse resturant experience we've had. We are a party of 6 who had reserved a table and when we arrived, were promptly taken to a table and introduced to our server, Antonio. This is where the good experience ground to a halt. Antonio took our drinks order and left us with ONE menu to look over. On his return he asked if we had made our choice, which to be honest wasn't difficult given there was only one item to chose from, and an extremely limited menu to say the least. Our appetiser arrived consisting of lettuce scattered with grated cheese and covered with a vinegarette, plus a basket of bread rolls. 6 plates were left stacked on our table along with cutlery, which we (supposedly) had to distribute. Eventually our soft and coffee drinks arrived. Later our main course arrived consisting of turkey and ham (6 pieces of each), beans, mash potato, stuffing and shredded beef, plus a jug of gravy. The portion control is very strict and was ridiculously small for a party of 6, who are not exactly big eaters. Our appetiser plates were not cleared, but instead used for our main course as was the cutlery, no clean having been offered by Antonio our server. The food itself was tepid and, at no time were our drinks refreshed. Our desert was ordered and of the 6 only 4 arrived and we had to remind Antonio of the other 2, which then took a while to arrive. For us this was a get them in and quickly out resturant. An 18% surcharge was added to our final bill due to being a party of 6, this being a tip. Antonio surprisingly expected a further tip eventhough his service was poor, out of sync, plus the food was mediocre. I would definitely not recommend this resrurant. Spend your hard earned cash elsewhere and get better professional service and quality food.
This used to be my favorite restaurant at Magic kingdom. What happened to the traditional food that was served here? Brisket? Corn bread? Muffings? Now you get a piece of ham that looks like a Publix cold cut. Store bought potato buns, stew??? And the worst quality Mac and cheese. This review is only for the quality of food served. Has nothing to do with service as to they are excellent.
