Nicky’s on the bay is a must for anyone who enjoys great food, outstanding atmosphere, super friendly staff and amazing views. The new owner and his team are driven by excellence in everything they do and provide. The menu is always changing with new innovative choices with specialty cocktails, appetizers and entrees finished off with delicious desserts. All while enjoying the summer breeze, the view of the bridge and fire island ferries. You can sit inside, outside and even a rooftop too with music and such a great vibe. Come by car or boat but for sure just come and enjoy a very special experience.

Nicky’s is better than ever. The lobster roll was fresh and flavorful, and the chocolate brownie sundae was the perfect sweet finish. Great service and the atmosphere made the whole experience. Can’t wait to go back!

Had one of the best lobster rolls last night at Nicky’s . Great atmosphere service was excellent , I also highly recommend the chicken bib lettuce wraps. Had a good drink menu would definitely go back to try some others.

Went to Nicky’s a couple of times since they opened and I must say change is good. Tried something new each time I went, plus the view does not disappoint. Tried the Braised Short Ribs, Chicken Milanese and shrimp scampi. Everything was delicious. The Malibu Pineapple Mojito, it was just perfect. Went with a different group of family and friends each time and everyone enjoyed. Staff were super friendly helpful. If you haven’t yet, you must give this place a try. Will not disappoint.

The place was really nice the food was really great. The prices were very reasonable. My husband took me for my birthday we had a awesome time. Our server Megan was amazing. There was only one thing that I wish they have the servers to sing Happy Birthday to customers to make them feel good on their special day.

Nicky’s on the Bay exceeded all expectations. The Thai Chili Calamari and Crab Cakes were the perfect start—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Braised Short Rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the Halibut was spot on. Incredible food, great atmosphere—highly recommend.

We so enjoyed our first visit to Nicky’s on Sunday . The atmosphere was fantastic. A gorgeous view and we loved watching all the ferrys and boats passing by. Our server Kat was the best. She offered up suggestions to us as it was our first time and she was on point. I’m not much of a seafood eater so she suggested the short ribs and they were like butter. Appetizers of mussels and clams and even the shrimp cocktail were so fresh and just the right way to start the meal. My husband and daughter both had the Parmesan Halibut and both plates were cleaned!!! We ended our night with the monkey bread a la mode and it was just right. Not too sweet and the ice cream was refreshing. Drinks were great (and strong). Things quickly added up and the bill was high but you pay for the freshness and for the view. We will definitely be retuning. Maybe on a night with some live music.

I’ve been dining at Nicky,s on the Bay for a few years now, and every summer I look forward to visiting because of its stunning location. The restaurant sits right on the water, offering a beautiful, relaxing view that makes it an ideal spot for outdoor dining. When I think of waterfront dining in the summer, Nikki’s is one of the first places that comes to mind. That said, while the atmosphere and scenery are always enjoyable, I continue to be underwhelmed by the food. The menu feels limited, and the quality of the dishes has consistently fallen short of expectations. For me, the food has become secondary to the experience of dining by the water. This restaurant truly has so much potential because of its prime location and ambiance. My recommendation would be a thoughtful revision of the menu and an improvement in food quality to match the beauty of the setting. Nicky’s on the Bay could easily be a five-star dining destination with the right culinary upgrades.

I want to start off by saying the food is really really good and we enjoyed almost everything we had. The only complaint was on the fried mozzarella, it needs to come with a dipping sauce (imo). However the service was super super rough. We waited quite a while for our table to be ready and they took other people to their tables who had later reservations times than us. Not a big deal but confusing. Our server was nice but very forgetful and inattentive. We had to ask for straws and silverware 3 separate times, we had our food for 15 minutes before we were given any silverware. Every time someone tried to run food or drinks to us, they were provided with the wrong table number and it became confusing for everyone involved. Had to ask for ketchup multiple times, eventually one of the bussers were able to get us some, they were working very hard and we were very appreciative that they were stepping up to help out the servers. We overheard from a nearby table that she had found our waitress in the bathroom on the phone, as all of the tables were being left unattended to for prolonged stretches. Overall we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, the service was the only disappointment.

Went on a week night party of 7 with reservations. Didn’t take too long to be seated. But then once we were sat, it took 17 minutes before anyone even came by to say anything to us. Took 21 minutes to get cups of water, and 45 minutes to get drinks and the appetizers and an hour and 22 minutes before we got our food. At some point another worker came over with menus because they didn’t know if anyone had taken our drink orders or anything. So 5 stars for the view, 5 stars for Diego (the buss boy) who was the only attentive one, 3 or so stars for the food, 0 for the drinks and 0 for the service. It wasn’t like the place was super busy and I would stick to beer and wine for drinks. The mixed drinks were watered down and not flavorful what so ever. Especially not for 15+ a drink. Out of the Bloody Mary, mule, Paloma, pinatas drink, margarita and pina colada the only one that was ok at best was the Bloody Mary. But good thing there was a view.
