China Wok

Definitely better than the other Chinese place on Harwood that I tried. China Wok's Chicken Lo Mein didn't have too much of a smokey flavor, but it was otherwise very good... fresh vegetables and everything seems of good quality. For $12 (Lo Mein & 2 egg rolls,) I got enough food for a meal & a snack for later. Two meals if you're a light eater. I'll give the place 5 stars because I think you can definitely order with confidence from here. I wish their location was closer to me! 🙂 I took some photos of their menu (as of April 2022,) which hopefully show up more clearly than the existing ones. Also, they're closed on Tuesdays.

This place is truly a hidden gem. Amazing food, friendly staff and very affordable. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I have lived in HEB for 8 years. I have tried several Chinese restaurants. I never noticed China Wok next to Kroger. This is my first time trying them tonight. I am overly satisfied. That I am writing a review the owners are so nice. I ordered combination fried rice and Beef Lo Mien chefs kiss it was amazing defiantly try them if you are in the area.

This is the BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had. The beef and broccoli is next level and the lo mein is sooooo good . Egg drop & wonton soup are both great too! Great pricing and huge portions!

We ordered a Chinese last week as we have always used wok Inn, but this time it tasted different, it was literally the best Chinese we have ever had! We found out a few days later that they are new owners, and they are so lovely and had great customer service. Definitely recommend trying them. We even got fortune cookies.

Wok Inn has been here for as long as I can remember, there’s a good reason, because the food is great, the prices are competitive and their food hygiene rating is a 5/5. They prepare your food quickly and efficiently, it comes out piping hot and it tastes amazing. Easily the best Chinese takeaway in Bedford. They’re not on JustEat but you can park right outside and they take card payments, or call up for delivery.

First time to try Nice lady I had the orange chicken and the taste was good and it wasn’t too salty, but it was really overcooked ..but it was Alot of food. I also ordered the beef and broccoli and the broccoli was cooked Really good. I will try again just to see if this was a1 time thing Egg rolls were really good.. not overcooked/not too greasy

Food was good. Except the sodas. We asked for a Dr Pepper and Coca Cola and got Dr Thunder and Sams Coke. Good thing we had a cooler full of our drinks. We told her kindly that those drinks were not the original brand and we took our drinks inside. She did not deny it. The good thing is she didn’t charge us for the drinks. Word of advice , do not sell cheap sodas, it’ll cost you on the long run.

Got to go food from here last night. Very good! Will be back. Lo mein was delicious Wings were hot and tasty Fried rice was decent

Decently tasty, low-budget Chinese food. The Orange Chicken was still fresh by the time it got home. The worst part was the stench of old, burnt fryer oil in the dining room which made it impossible to enjoy the meal on-site (or perhaps the sad depression that followed for several hours). The best part was not having to navigate through the North East Mall to get to the food court.

Had a meal for two recently and it was excellent. The repeat order the next week was of lower standard. Tonight, Singapore vermicelli was awful. No egg, no red peppers or green or red slices of chilli to elevate the dish, just noodles, chicken, beansprouts and a few shrimp in chilli oil. Greasy and had a burnt oil flavour - dish not recommended.

Food is very good hence why I always return. The place needs updating in terms of look. I know its a takeaway but the waiting area is very poor and feels cheap. It doesnt cost a lot to make it look nice and welcoming, so just wonder how the kitchen looks which is not open to public eyes.... sort it out and thank me later ; )

Food was cold after it was eventually delivered. Phoned up several times and each time told it would be here within 5-10 minutes! Very sad as food is good quality!! You need to sort out your delivery!!! Eventually Lady told me she would phone me back.......It didn't happen!!!!!!

We’ve been loyal customers of China Wok for 7 years and used to absolutely love this place. The Orange Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken were always highlights—tender, succulent chicken with perfect sauce and just the right amount of crispy coating. Unfortunately, our most recent order was a big disappointment. Both dishes were overwhelmingly breaded, and most bites consisted of tough tendons, gristle, and hard, low-quality meat that barely resembled chicken. It was hard to chew and bordered on inedible. It felt like a completely restaurant that I would never return to. We’re not sure if this is due to a change in suppliers, ownership, or staffing, but it’s a noticeable drop from what made us regulars. We won't be returning. It was that bad.

I had a takeaway here and I didn’t like the duck it wasn’t crispy at all - customer service is excellent. My parents thought the food was much nicer than our usual so maybe I was unlucky with my dish - I didn’t really like any of it - on hearing this the service lady on the front desk called me and offered to cook for me again - which I why I have removed my original review and replaced it with this . Good luck x
