Location is pretty busy and somewhat noisy. So if u are looking for quiet atmosphere then its going to be difficult. Overall experience was great. Staff is attentive and friendly. Food is as always great. Atmosphere is welcoming and lively.

Whenever I go to Houston I always go to Lupe Tortilla. The food is very good and if you’re from the Dallas area it’s similar to Uncle Julio’s meets Chuy’s from Austin. Highly recommend the fajitas and soups. Queso is very good and the flour tortillas are phenomenal. Not easily visible from the frontage road so be ready to turn when you see the sign.

Such a nice place. They have an absolutely huge outdoor patio, and some tables are under the roof but outside. So you can pick whatever table is best for the weather. I got the tortilla soup. It was just right. They put more veggies than some other places do, which I liked. It was flavorful- not just salt and broth. I also like that they bring complimentary beans with the chips and salsa. Such a nice touch. The service was really friendly and laid back. That just made it an overall nice experience. I will definitely be back. :)

The restaurant is real good. The food is great the flour tortillas and meat and guacamole are fire staff is friendly and the ambient looks very Mexican WE ARE DEFINITELY EATING HERE AGAIN.

Great food and awesome service. I frequent this location for lunch. I’ve tried different things on the menu. I love the carne asada and taco salad. Oh I definitely would be remiss if I didn’t add that I love the Lupe Del Mar as well. You get nice portions of food for the cost. The manager will also stop by your table to ensure you are enjoying your experience. I shall return.

Sunday shopping pit-stop here with the girls, need a snack and some drinks! The location was super clean and tidy! Our waiter was extremely pleasant. We recently visited with a large group of 25 people, and they did an exceptional job accommodating us. The food was fantastic, with everyone in our party raving about their meals. The service was equally impressive — the waitresses were attentive, friendly, and managed our large group seamlessly. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely be back. With so many Tex Mex places in Houston this place is actually so wonderful and we really enjoy the food here more than other places like Ninfa’s or Escalante’s. Their fajitas are sold by the pound and have their signature lime drizzle that makes all the difference. The complimentary chips, salsa, and smokey beans are also amazing and filling. Solid drinks. And our server was so attentive and patient with us we couldn’t have asked for a better service. I wish it wasn’t so dark in the restaurant but I’m picking at straws here. We’ll definitely be going back!

I love a good Tex-Amex establishment, and my Houston friends said that this was one of the chains that would be excellent. They were correct. As soon as we came, we were placed on the waitlist however we were quickly seated after a short wait. Staff asked if any of us were new to this restaurant. Being the only one not from Houston, I told them I was. The manager of the establishment personally brought us out complimentary skirt steak tacos for being a first-timer here, and these were excellent. Their skirt steak is the real deal! So much flavor, so juicy, and surprisingly tender. We got complimentary chips and salsa and a bean dip. The bean dip is amazing. I could eat this with chips all day as it had spices and cilantro and was super savory yet thin enough to still eat with chips. Being here during their Hatch Chile season, I had to get one of their seasonal dishes that included this. I got the hatch barbacoa tacos - braised beef with a Hatch Chile sauce and queso fresco, all on a corn tortilla. This was breathtaking. The corn tortillas are freshly made in-house, and this is easily my favorite corn tortilla I’ve ever eaten. The corn flavor really permeates throughout the tortilla while being incredibly soft. The beef was braised so well and a generous portion was added to the 2 tacos. And the chile sauce gave a nice tang and decent spiciness to the whole dish. The dish was served with great rice and flavorful beans. I also tried their carne asada which was a huge piece of tender steak. This was so soft that I legitimately was able to use a spoon to cut and eat it. It had such a peppery and smoky flavor to it. Lastly, make sure you get some pepper shrimp brochette. This is shrimp wrapped in bacon and it’s impeccable. You don’t want to miss adding this to any part of your meal. The manager and her staff were so friendly and attentive throughout our meal which we really appreciated. Our drinks were always kept full and we never felt like we were having to wait for anything.

Wife and I decided to split the fajitas for one. It seemed a little pricey ($31) compared to other mexican restaurants that serve fajitas, but this is way I decided to add a review. Wife said this was likely the best fajitas were have had, and I agreed. I was surprised at how much meat and fixings came with the order. Everything was so delicious. The tortillas were bigger than a dinner plate, thin and soft and warm. It was enough food for both of us. We had the Rita’s also. The only downside was the happy hour did not start at 2pm when the lunch specials ended. We got there after 2pm and Happy Hour did not start until 3pm. Missed the lunch specials and the happy hour specials, so I would avoid the 2-3pm time to visit in case you want to enjoy one or the other. This location for some reason seemed to be a step up from another location (same company) we had tried outside of Houston. I would go back for the fajitas for sure.

His positive demeanor and patience—especially while accommodating a family of four with dietary restrictions—made our evening a great one. He and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and apologetic when things weren’t quite right. As vegetarians, we especially appreciated that our concerns weren’t dismissed when we pointed out an issue with food that was supposed to be vegetarian. Instead, they patiently remade the dish and offered thoughtful alternatives, which made us feel genuinely cared for. Additional recommendations include offering vegetarian rice. Food was delicious from the appetizer (crab stuffed avocado) to our entree. The seasonal blood orange margarita was our favorite. Solid Tex Mex. I went for the salad with beef fajita on top and was pleased. Pricey, but man they make tasty beef! Service was fast, food was plentiful! Had the deep fried banana for dessert. Lupe tortilla is always great. Unfortunately the price of the beef fajitas has gotten crazy high so we don't go as often. The chicken flautas and bacon wrapped shrimp are good too.... And of course the homemade flour tortillas. Service is good. I hate that the tables are so small. The fajitas have so many sides but there is no space to keep everything! And no place to keep a purse so you end up with your purse and tortillas in your lap! And the tables are close together.

I had a great experience overall. The food was delicious and unlike many Mexican restaurants, they had a good variety of vegetarian options and were willing to modify a non-vegetarian dish to suit my dietary restrictions.

Their breakfast was not what I was expecting. Beans tasted burnt, and I really didn't like the huevos rancheros. They were served on a tostada, that wad a first for me. But our waitress was awesome and very professional.

Lupe Tortilla is always good. I like going there for lunch and having Fajitas, but they make an awesome dinner place as well. Recently started going there for breakfast and they have some really tasty options. The breakfast nachos are great, just get queso instead of the cheddar cheese & add some fresh jalapenos and you'll be happy. My GF got the banana pancakes and wr alsonhad the chilaquiles, those I would also order again. All in all it's a pretty good place. Service can sometimes not be as quick as you might like but the food is always consistent and delicious.

Atmosphere is good. Staff is friendly, attentive and efficient. They don't have any beers beyond standard Mexican Lagers and domestics. Food wasn't quite on par with what I had expected from recommendations I had received, but it was good. I ordered beef and chicken fajitas. The meat wasn't as juicy as I would have liked, but I can tell it did have a nice tasty (lime?) marinade. The grilled veggies were better than the meat in my opinion - jalapeno, poblano, and onions. The fresh flour tortillas were the best part of the meal. I wouldn't say this is the best fajitas in town, but it was decent. All in all the experience was good.

I tend to have pretty good experiences at Lupe Tortilla. It's not the most authentic Mexican food you can get, but it gets the job done. The Tex-Mex options are pretty good; I recommend the queso con carne, the queso flameado, and the chicken flautas.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food. $10 for breakfast tacos seemed a bit pricey but considering that is a complete meal it wasn't bad at all. Be sure to ask for the chips and salsa. They are included, but you have to ask. The food is tasty, but not amazing. You probably won't leave disappointed, but don't expect to be amazed.

Spinach and artichoke enchiladas were tasty. Queso is average but salsa and chips were good. Salsa seems homemade with roasted peppers flavor. Rice and refried beans were also average while the black beans were just okay. Frozen strawberry Rita was good and/but not super strong. We waited along time at our table before we were attended to and food took a little while, so don't come too hungry, but not too bad if hanging out on a nice day at the outside patio. Patio is a bit noisy though from music and highway traffic. Service was friendly and attentive once she came around.

Lupe tortilla is a fairly good Tex-mex place. The atmosphere and decor make you feel like you're in someone's house. Today i got the chicken soft taco's (like enchiladas) and a queso with taco meat. Service was great, food was good and everything was clean. I would come back here again

Their ribs are so tender I will only order them when I go there. Certain restaurants will try & accommodate u on ur order, this place didn't. Wasn't too pleased with that but I can't remember the very 1st 1 I went 2 that gave me exactly what I asked 4.

Went to Lupe for a friend's birthday and the waiter Moses was awesome. He was attentive and friendly. The chips and salsa were great. I ordered chicken nachos and they were really good. Everyone's food came out hot even though we had a group. If you go, ask for Moses as your waiter.

Easily 4 stars. Not really a 5 but better than a 4 to be honest, should be a 4.5. Service was excellent with fast and friendly staff. Seated right away and the wait staff were extremely patient as waited for out last dinner guest to arrive before ordering. Food itself was just simply delicious. Good portions with lots of flavours.

The overall taste of the food wasn't there, very bland. The sauce on the chicken burrito taste spaghetti sauce with queso. \n\nStaff was very nice tho!

Lupe Tex Mex offered a unique experience with a beef taco that unexpectedly tasted like seafood, which was an interesting twist. The temperature was a bit off as the taco was cold. However, the Myriah )bartender's personable nature and detailed explanations of both drinks and food added a positive touch to the overall dining experience.

Our server Luis was amazing- he was very patient with our group, attentive and knowledgable about the menu. Unfortunately we tried the queso con chili and 3 meals and all of the food was subpar. While the service was an A+ the food was only a C. We are visiting and saw that are mtiple locations and this has been recommended to us, but we felt the price was too expensive.

Customer service and waiter knowledge - 1 rating. Order was put in wrongly, and I was surprised substitution of proteins were not allowed. But the manager, Mario, was excellent. He was able to subsitute them for us. I suspect they hv to wait for the chicken to lay the eggs as it takes them forever to serve our food, even though the restaurant was not crowded. Now to the food. The fajitas omelette was ok...it lack seasoning. I'm glad tbey hv egg white omelette as I'm trying to maintain my perfect physique. Huevos Rancheros - nothing spectacular.

The first table we were set at was dark. The workers all agreed it's too dark. We moved outside, at night, and had more light. Food was nominal. Our server actually did okay.

Food was okay, but the service was lacking. Server was frowning the entire time. I tried to get him to loosen up by asking how his day was going, we had some friendly banter before he went back to having a scowl on his face. I guess that's the best he could give that day.

If it weren't for the guy flat out lying to me about calling and looking for my car, it wouldn't have bothered me. Then I came home to an incomplete order and this hot mess of a very non crispy taco. Warning, check your food order before you leave! This isn't the first time they've forgotten items.

We dont usually visit this location and the vibes felt off when we got here today. Our service has usually been excellent but today it was below average. The food quality was not what we expected. A manager did as us about our experience so far and we said it was fine because we are not petty people. What made my wife upset 5 mins after was seeing a roach party on the table during our meal and didnt see another manager to bring it to their attention. She lost her appetite and I'm sure anyone else would too. I know we live in Houston and they are known to be here but I would imagine the restaurant would get pest control. It would flop around on its back for a while then get back up walk to the top of the chair to throw itself back on the table and do it all over again😂

I don't often take the time to leave negative reviews. I understand that sometimes people have off days and I'd hate to misrepresent a business simply because I caught them on one of those. With that said, the attitude and rudeness that was given to us by the hostess the last time we visited (1/3/2026 at around 3:30pm) warrants the negative review. The service overall was bad, but thats nothing out of the ordinary for the Lupe's chain, we are used to it. I've been eating at Lupe's all over Houston for the last 15ish? years. The service overall has undoubtedly gotten progressively worse. So our expectations were fairly low to begin with. We go for the food. Our family likes the fajitas and my mom wanted to have her 69th birthday lunch there. Upon arrival we encountered the rudest hostess I've ever dealt with. She was extremely short with our group (10 of us) and visibly annoyed at the fact that we were there and she had to set up our table. Any small request, such as "can we move the tables a little (maybe a foot) to one side so that the sun wasn't in our faces" she scoffed at and we ended up moving the tables ourselves. If there was a manager on site, they were literally non-existent. The food was ok and our actual server did the best she could serving 10 people while also taking care of other patrons by herself (she was pleasant and had a good attitude overall). Ultimately, this will be our last time visiting any of the Lupe's. It is really sad watching a adored local business I grew up with get ran to the ground.

Tried Lupe Tortilla and honestly had a disappointing experience. I ordered the quesadillas which were just okay, nothing special. They served nachos with beans and salsa, but didn’t mention that the beans weren’t vegetarian—which is a big deal for someone with dietary restrictions. What really made the experience worse was the service. The server was rude and gave condescending responses when asked about the food. I didn’t feel welcomed or respected as a customer. Wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you’re vegetarian or expect decent customer service.

I called to place a pick up order and the person who took my order was very pleasant however I found out I placed my order at the wrong location when I went to pick up my order. The manager then refused to refund me bc the order was made already. However I hadn’t picked up the order bc I re ordered at the location I’m closest too and if the manager can’t understand that then why support the establishment. There was no sympathy for the mistake that was made. I was too far to drive to that location and the manager was basically like o well.

I placed the order with catering sales representative Heather Alexander on August 22. Lupe Tortilla #2 confirmed my order and informed me that someone would call on the day of delivery to take payment. At 10 AM, I still hadn’t received a call, so I called the store. They informed me that they had no record of my order. After being placed on hold for about 20-25 minutes, a manager came to the phone her name was Hayli to assist me with my order. I was asked to hold again, and when they returned, they had found my order. I confirmed the details, including the delivery address, time (11:15), and food items. When 11:24 rolled around, I called to inquire about my delivery, and they informed me that the driver was on the way. Five minutes later, I received a call from the store. Hayli said the delivery driver had been trying to reach me, but I hadn’t received any missed calls. After placing me on hold again, she returned to inform me that the driver was indeed on the way and would arrive in about 10 minutes because she had the wrong address (which was confirmed earlier). At 11:50, my order still hadn’t arrived. I called again, was put on hold, and then told it would be another 10 minutes. Shortly after, I received a call from the driver. I initially missed the call but called back within a minute, only to hear the driver say that since I didn’t answer, she returned to the store. This made no sense, as she had just called to say she was outside, but now she was back at the store in less than a minute. I continued to call the store each time, speaking with you and receiving the same response: “10 minutes away.” Finally, at 12:37, my order arrived. While I appreciated your professionalism, there was a clear lack of follow-through. I went into the store to speak with Hayli to obtain a receipt that was supposed to be provided on the day of my order. It was sent shortly after. When I opened the receipt, it was not at all what we discussed. Additionally, she mentioned sending the e-cards, but that has yet to happen. The lack of empathy and follow-through has prompted me to write this review.

I ordered a takeout meal, but when I arrived to pay, they charged me extra for taco meat in the queso compuestos. I pointed this out to the to-go representative, who then fetched a manager named Haley. When the manager came to the front, she initially stated that the charge was correct. I asked her to check the menu, and after doing so, she admitted, "Oh, I didn't know this came with ground beef; you are right." I was taken aback that a manager was unaware of the menu. Eventually, she removed the extra charge for ground beef. Additionally, my order wasn't even ready at the scheduled pickup time; I ended up waiting 20 minutes for queso. Throughout this entire experience, I did not receive a single apology. The service was terrible!

SECOND REVIEW I was so upset this time. I tried this location one week ago and I was happy and i decided to come back for more... bad mistake. I asked for a FILET ASADA “WELL DONE” and i got it “RARE”. So when the meat was “fixed” I got it now WELL DONE and burned on the edges. So disappointed ☹️. Please see pictures. FIRST REVIEW Amazing TEX-MEX food. There is only one thing that i did not enjoy and it was the rice...TOO MUCH CUMIN.

Never order catering here! We ordered food for a funeral and when we arrived, they said they didnt have our order. We asked them to check a different name, and they barely checked and were dismissive. We drove halfway across town to the other location, and they helpfully checked all the tickets and said they didnt have our order. So after driving 45 minutes we had to head back to this location. They had our order ALL ALONG and they didnt seem to be sorry AT ALL. Incompetent team here. They weren't even sure if we paid or not.

We asked for a table for five in the bar from 4:30 to 6:00 on Saturday. We only wanted drinks and appetizers, so they made us sit at a long high-top table less than12 inches wide with high barstool chairs. The comfortable square table with regular chairs next to us that we preferred remained empty the entire time we were there. We will not be back.

I would have loved to have tried the food and received my food order placed online, but for some reason your location keeps canceling my order. It seems no matter what day or what I order, your location continues to cancel it. I've never eaten here before so I can't for the life of me understand why you consistently cancel my orders on Ubereats, but my co workers who order through Ubereats get their food orders no matter what. I don't know what the problem or issue is, but to continue to cancel one person's order for no reason is insane. I hope yall figure it out and stop discriminating against certain guests who don't meet your view of how they should look.
