Opinions de Luna Pizzeria Houston
Jimmy John's is a sandwich haven where every bite is a flavor explosion. The subs and jalapeño chips are a dynamic duo that's not just on par but setting a benchmark for fast-food excellence. The roast beef sub stands tall as a top-tier delight. The perfect marriage of tender roast beef, fresh veggies, and Jimmy John's signature sauces creates a symphony of flavors that's nothing short of extraordinary. Equally impressive is the turkey and avocado sub. A blissful combination of succulent turkey and creamy avocado, it's a testament to the art of sandwich craftsmanship. Each bite is a journey into a world where freshness and flavor collide. Let's not overlook the jalapeño chips – a fiery companion to the subs. Their spiciness is not just a side note but an essential part of the Jimmy John's experience. The crunch, the heat, and the overall satisfaction make them an inseparable part of the meal. Beyond the culinary delights, the place decor is fire – a modern and inviting ambiance that elevates the overall dining experience. Jimmy John's is not just a fast-food joint; it's a destination where the combination of superb subs, addictive chips, and a chic decor transforms a meal into a culinary adventure. Whether you're a fan of the classics or seeking new flavor frontiers, Jimmy John's has mastered the art of sandwich perfection.
Freaky fast, freaky delicious. Great Jimmy John’s experience. Classic and similar to other locations.
I know it's not the norm to cut it like this but THANK YOU Mark and OOH MY GOD Maggie? I know I called them M&M They were nice enough to indulge me and cut my sandwich into really small pieces I work for UPS and this is so helpful when working . ☺️
I love Jimmy John’s. For the first day I tried them, I am hooked. Much better than subway. There is really not even a comparison. The quality of their sandwiches is far better and service is super fast and very friendly. The prices are very reasonable, you can expect to pay about eight to $12 for a large sandwich. I am a big eater and their large sandwich more than does it for me. The quality of their meats and cheeses and ingredients is far better than that of subway. Their only real competitor is Firehouse subs.
Went from Gypsy poet who a lot of people in HTX say has the best pizza but I left there to try lunas pizza right afterwards and it was by far better and more tastier than that one for sure. A htx top spot to try
Pizza snob here (I’m from NJ) riding in the city & the closest pizza shop was Luna Pizzeria 10 minutes before close they answered the phone took my order and served a badass pepperoni personal pizza. I respected the hustle but most importantly the good pizza 🙏🏾 I will be back
Luna Pizzería’s food is full of flavor, and the ingredients taste fresh. This was my first time trying out the food, and it will not be my last. Everything we ordered from the salad to the pizza was a hit. There is no wait staff. Customers order at the cashier and grab a table. The inside is not that big. I did see the majority of people ordering to go. There is plenty of parking and a few table games for customers to play. The staff was helpful and busy working hard. I saw one staff member literally ping ponging around the restaurant doing whatever it took to keep tables clean or serve food.
📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣📣ATTENTION !!!! HIGHHHLLYYY RECCOOMMEENNDDD having lunch at Luna pizzeria kirby, has been really a delightful experience I need more stars to review this place.I ordered salad and pizza for one.The chopped salad is so good with all kinds of veggies and cold meats and cheese.tossed with delicious dressing.Really good.Pizza was crispy, cheesy and great taste.Costumer attention is prompt, corteous and polite.more stars for the crew two ladies and a guy working in constant rythm to make food taste delicious. The atmosphere here is welcoming and there's always seats and comfortable cushions to make you feel really nice like at home. The menu has a lot of options.Pizza is definetly a must have.highly recommend,is so worth to try.
We must protect this pizzeria at all costs. As other reviewers have said, the ingredients really do taste so fresh and the pies are cooked to perfection. Also they have plenty of parking! I got a marg pie and added some sausage and it was amazing. They also have a wide array of additional seasonings and olive oil at the drink station; not to mention the additional garnishments they brought out with my pizza. I also tried some garlic parm wings and they were pretty good! They weren’t the next best wing but they were far from bad ya know? As a millennial, I obviously loved the millennial board game selection for customers to play while waiting on their pie too. They even had lemon lime Powerade, one of the trademark beverages of my childhood. The customer service was 10/10. Nice people, helpful with the menu, and genuinely happy to provide service, which is rare these days. I’ll be back. I’m not even a thin crust pizza guy normally but they balance it out with the toppings and the dough. I recommend this place without any reservations!
Excellent pizza, excellent service, fun atmosphere and good prices especially on Monday 1/2 off pizzas. You can taste the quality and choose up to 5 toppings per pizza. Also had the chicken parm sandwich and they actually use a whole chicken cutlet as opposed to sliced chicken. Highly recommend.
Luna Pizzeria truly exceeded my expectations, and I have to give a special shoutout to Marlene for making the entire experience exceptional from beginning to end. From the moment I walked in, she greeted me warmly and made me feel genuinely welcome. Her energy was kind, attentive, and professional in a way that’s becoming increasingly rare in customer service these days. What really stood out was the way she went above and beyond without being asked, she consistently checked on my table, made sure everything was just right, and even kept refilling my drink without me ever needing to say a word. It’s those small but thoughtful gestures that show real pride in her work. Her timing was perfect, always there when needed, but never intrusive. The pizza was delicious as always, but having someone like Marlene taking care of guests truly elevated the visit. Her customer service wasn’t just good, it was outstanding. She genuinely cared about creating a positive experience, and it showed in every interaction. If you visit Luna Pizzeria, I hope you’re lucky enough to be served by her. She’s the kind of employee that keeps people coming back. Five stars, without hesitation.
Love Luna's (and this location specifically). The team (that I've met during my visits) is very friendly and helpful. The environment is very welcoming. There's a middle bar height tables with several board and card games, including jenga. It's really cute - whether you're breaking the ice during an awkward date or keeping the kiddos entertained while waiting for the food, you're good 👍. The food does take a bit to be ready, but you know what - I love it! That means it was made JUST FOR ME! and not warmed up/fast food. The pizza is delicious and loveee the crust - thin but not a cracker. And it's so fresh - love love Lunas. ❤️
10/10! We were first time visitors and the best day! 1/2 price pies. We got a large custom pizza and a chocolate chip cookie for $15! We even left with leftovers. The restaurant is located in a shopping mall so plenty of parking. You order at the register and take a seat with your number. Your pie is served with a small plate of fresh cut parm, fresh basil, and red chili flakes! Loved it. It was very fast service and friendly folks working. I would highly recommend it and I can’t wait to come back!!
Ive been coming here every Monday for a couple months now for half off pizza, there’s really not much of a better deal in town! My kid loves it, and Ive really grown to love it too. It’s not New York style, or neopolitan exactly, it’s unique! Crispy and thin. Nice chew to the crust, not raw or doughy. The ingredients are quality and the sides are awesome too. Love the wings, 7 wings for 8 dollars is a steal and they’re juicy and well seasoned. Also love the chicken ceasar and the sandwiches. Something about it just keeps me coming back.
Employees were super friendly and easy to talk to, especially when I requested ranch and marinara sauce. Pizza was delicious! Breading had a slight crunch. Pepperoni was crispy, jalapeños were actually spicy(actually good), pineapple was fresh. Meatbal slices were delicious! We definitely recommend and will be coming back!
Nice pricing and reasonably good food. I will say it’s always consistent. They seem to have issues with their delivery team though. We live about 5 minutes away and sometimes orders take 45 minutes to get to us.
Good pizza in houston is not the easiest to find but this place is the exception to the rule. But their wings are a surprise hit. Which is another rule breaker, most pizza places don't have good wings. The pizza was thin, not extra thin. It's a sourdough crust so it helps with the flavor. On a flop scale of 1 being a noodle and 10 being a piece of sheet metal. The pizza had about a 7 score of flop to it. We got the pepperoni and cheese large. We ate all of it. It was fairly light, crispy pepperonis and the sauce was flavorful. We got the wings too, the Buffalo and the garlic parm . The wings were larger and baked. The Buffalo was OK but the garlic was crazy good. Probably the best wing I've had for years. Super dense in flavor layers and the ranch combo was killer!!!. Atmosphere was bland but nothing bad. Customer service was great, very nice and the pizza came out really quick. Overall, good place and will be coming back
I love Jimmy John’s - this location is a hit or a miss. My most recent visit was disappointing, one slice of ham for the entire sandwich.
#1 Got my order wrong. #2 Even though I was standing there waiting for my pick-up order, they never told me it was ready. I watched about 15 people get waited on. I then asked about my order for a second time. It was sitting on a shelf for who knows how long?
Food is great and service is great. The issue my wife had tonight can’t go unsaid, however. The security and safety of this place is questionable. There was a homeless person blocking door and then went inside. It was so uncomfortable for her that she just left.
My previous visits to this location has been great, but on Saturday 09/12/2020 had the worst service experience at a Jimmy’s. It is sad that an employee can cause so much harm to the location, but I do believe a review can help prevent those attitudes towards the customers on this location. The lady that was attending the cash register and making the sandwiches seemed so frustrated and had the worst attitude. I ordered my sandwich online, and noticed that the order was taking longer than expected. I went ahead and showed up to ask about my order, and noticed that my order was already fulfilled. She gave me my bag, and I ask for the drink I ordered, and she snatched the bag from me and scratch my hand a little bit in the process. Didn’t say anything, but it bother me a lot. Overall the drink situation was sort out and I left with my order. The sandwich was great. I just wanted to inform y’all of this situation so maybe management or owners can take action, so there is no future situations like that can affect the reputation of this location. Thanks.
If you order delivery don't expect everything you paid for will be delivered. Had happened many times.
This place constantly makes sandwiches wrong. Multiple orders IN A ROW just flat out wrong. We're talking forgot-to-put-tuna-on-a-tuna-sandwich wrong. Didn't ask for hot peppers? Have some hot peppers. EZ on the spicy mustard? Let's absolutely soak it instead. If you call to ask about it, the guy answering the phone is audibly trying to understand what no tuna on my tuna sandwich means. Instead of immediately apologizing and offering to send out a new (and correct) order, he asks if I still have the sandwich -like I should return it so that I can get a refund instead. Right, just refund it; I didn't want to eat lunch anyway while I'm busy at work and can't get away to a more competent sandwich shop. It's not rocket science to make a basic sandwich, neither is customer service, and these people are constantly struggling. At least it's usually fast. Cept for those few times between 3-4 pm when you think it would be less busy and they take over an hour to deliver. Scary fast? More like scary how often it's sub par. Be warned.
Ordered two pizzas (one regular, one gluten-free) and a salad with chicken—picked up at 9:30 pm. The pizzas were cold, and the chicken didn’t have any chicken. I guess we were fooled by the 4.6-star rating. This was nowhere near that. The Barnaby’s to-go cutlery was a nice touch. It does seem like ownership has given up.
Would give zero stars if i could. Asked for a little extra avocado....it's like eating a wet baby food sandwich. Dont even get me started on the insane amount of lettuce they also use. Worst sandwich in my life!
Ordered a BLT online. It came cold. There was no option for toasted online. I was surprised because BLTs are never served cold (example. Subway). I asked them to heat it up please and they refused to and said they could only charge me for a brand new sandwich. Poor service. Won’t be back.
So my nephew loves JJ jalapeño chips and their jalapeño ranch salsa! So every now and then he just orders that by itself because he loves it! so he ordered online and told me to pick it up ..when I came to the location It wasn’t on the shelf ,so I asked about the order and they were Hella rude and like oh just chips and salsa and sort of made a joke, which I was really confused because we are all grown adults, but it was just the aura and the energy that really turned me off. So when I asked why wasn’t the order in a bag a d ready to go they literally laughed like oh because we didn’t think it was anything. And I never write reviews, but I had to because that really turned me off and it was three grown men like grow the up .Everyone orders different and I’m glad I didn’t get a sandwich because they all look dirty
Disaster. I used the app to do an in-store pick up. I get there 20 minutes later and there are no bags to be picked up. The entire point of mobile pick up is that I can just walk in and get the food and leave. Then I have to wait in line to tell them I want to pick up my order. The order is not ready. I wait a half an hour . Still no sandwiches. Then I talk to them. Then they make my order. This place has no idea what they are doing. Avoid.
First time at this sandwich place because Subway was out of Tuna. I requested no tomatoes on my sandwich, which they got right BUT they did not put any pickles on my sandwich even after I specifically asked for P I C K L E S . Cashier was nice and helpful. Took me a while to try this place out but not going back. Tuna was not tasty. Boring sandwich especially with "forgotten" pickles.
I drove a total of 40 minutes just to have everything I specifically requested on my customized order to be ignored. I order a sandwich with no Mayo, no onions, no mustard, add black olives, banana peppers, peppercorn ranch, pickles, and I received NOTHING as requested on the online order. It came with onions and Mayo and nothing added. It’s not my job to have to check for something that should be so damn simple. It was empty at the restaurant. They didn’t have but one customer already eating but couldn’t focus to get my order right. First and last time at this place.
If you are in a customer service industry you should have good customer service to everyone you interact with when you are at work. The employee I interacted with was extremely rude. They basically told me to get out because I wasn't actively purchasing an item at the time of our interaction. I find it hard to understand that they only have good customer service skills if they are being paid money on their end. I don't want to get into too many details about what happened but I am disgusted by this place and won't be going to Jimmy John's ever again because of the experience I had at this location. That's pretty sad given the fact that I love sandwiches and also that I previously owned a franchise sandwich store which was number 1 in the Houston market of the franchises in the Houston market for our particular store. Customer service is key. If your manager doesn't have good customer service you need to get better employees who understand what customer service is and what type of industry they are working in. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Go to Jersey Mike's sub instead it's down the street and they have good quality customer service that will leave you feeling that you had a good pleasant experience, not leaving like your a homeless person they are kicking out of their store. And if you were wondering, no, I do not own or have ever owned a Jersey Mike's sub shop.
The absolute worse service today! I ordered my sandwiches and prior to them being handed off, I immediately noticed the order was wrong. However, before mentioning it to the team member, I checked the receipt. To my surprise the order had been recorded incorrectly so I kindly asked that they remake it. One employee began to remake the sandwich while a new employee who was moving too fast and not paying attention continued to make the order incorrectly. When I brought it to his intention, he began to argue with me explaining that it was not my order in which he was preparing. All while the seasoned employee is explaining that it was my order. He then grossly took off the cheese + pesto, added regular cheese and ham slapped it in the sandwich and passed it off to me. Literally sloppy + disgusting. New employees shouldn’t be on the line especially if they can’t manage their attitude.
Definitely NOT freaky fast. Not fast at all. Even allowing for them to be behind or short staffed, I’ve never had Jimmy Johns take longer than 1.5hrs for delivery before. We’re at 2hrs waiting and still no food. The store couldnt even get in touch with the driver when I called to ask how much longer it would be.
On Monday, I went to order pizza. I clearly mentioned that we do not eat pork and that chicken is fine. The employee suggested one option but said she didn’t know the name of the Italian meat. When we received the order, it turned out to include pork. I returned the pizza and explained again that we had already mentioned this. However, she did not accept the mistake, continued arguing, and refused to change our pizza. Even though I tried to stay polite and calmly explained the situation, she kept arguing. Her attitude was very rude. Stefanie was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.
