Night Market Noodle is, without a doubt, the reigning champ of ramen in Houston. I’ve tried almost every ramen spot in town, and none come close to matching the incredible bowls they serve up. Their tonkotsu ramen is a masterpiece. I’ve tried various iterations of it on their menu, and each one is better than the last. The rich, creamy broth is simply divine. And let's not forget their amazing appetizers! I’m always tempted by their noodle appetizer set, and their chicken karaage is out of this world. If you're a ramen lover in Houston, Night Market Noodle is an absolute must-visit. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

Honestly, best ramen i have had in Houston. Legit broth, noodles and fried goods. Decent taste, flavour, texture, authentic japanese style (fly over to tokyo and validate this if you dont believe). Rakkan (famous for the wrong reason, overrated franchise) is easily not compatible to this shop. Please keep it up, will come back for the donburi. The interesting menu of roti canai and curry noodle make me wonder if the owner is from Malaysia :)

Google reviews brought me there. Absolutely right suggestion. Best Raman in town. I ordered fried octopus (iko Geso). So delicious, fresh and crispy. The waiter recommended the most popular ramen, Spicy Black. That was a wow factor! Strong texture of noodle but not dry, fresh pork belly. Nice choice. Not all restaurants near China town take credit card, but this one does without any restrictions. Overall five-star no doubt!

Best ramen in town. The burnt garlic ramen was full of umami goodness with a silky, rich texture. Mini side dishes: kimchi and fermented mustard green, with their sharp flavors, provided a great contrast by cutting through the fat of the broth. Adding to the appeal is the chill vibe that’s rare in a bustling city. Definitely would go back!

Food and service is EXCELLENT! There is No Words can described it. My husband had noodle soup "Seafood Jjambbong" so rich seafood broth lots of seafood, the noodle is so special could not find anywhere in the past. I had "Spicy Black" andnsumce I cannot eat so spicy so I asked to put the spice paste separately in a little plate, but it is so tasty and at the end I had to put them all in soup noodle , who cares, Ir is so good ...I just ate them all while sipping cold water. So SATISFYING. We will come back to try more !!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! By the way the atmosphere is so classy and relaxing. The wooden background and the warm yellow light enhance the elegance of the restaurant. The AC is so good...it helps when we eat spicy hot food. 🥰

The lunch special is actually very good for a student on a budget. Try the chicken tori nanban, sauce is soo good!! Broth is flavorful, noodles were enough for myself and I came out so happy and full after a long day on campus. I had the hakata tonkatsu and it was perfect :D

Very good little spot in Chinatown. Located in a strip center with other Japanese options too. The interior seemed a bit sterile, but embodied Japanese style well. The ramen, rice bowl and potstickers were all delicious. The Karaage chicken was also delicious.

Underrated spot for stellar ramen and sides! One of our top 3 ramen spots that you should check out if you're into great ramen that is matched by excellent and shareable sides at an affordable price. Vibe: Casual wooden izakaya vibe inside, very clean. We came in at around 2pm and there were not many people. Decent size, tables are long and can probably seat medium-sized parties together (6?). Service: very friendly server. She gave great recommendations for our appetizers. Food: Ordered a great deal of ramen + mini appetizer for $13.75. We tried the regular tonkotsu ramen, burnt garlic tonkotsu ramen, chicken gyoza, and Korean yangyum nuggets. Chicken gyoza was just OK. The Korean nuggets were incredibly flavorful and juicy with a tangy sweet/spicy sauce and crunchy coating. Very spicy! The quality of all the ramen ingredients really impressed us. The tonkotsu broth had great savory depth and creamy texture without feeling too heavy or porky/grimy. Flavor was straightforward and clean but subtly complex - reminded me of Ichiran ramen in NYC. The straight noodles were perfectly cooked, al dente and chewy. Burnt garlic oil added some extra savory and aromatic depth. Chashu was great, cut pretty thick, with a hint of smokiness. Still had some chew to it. Woodear mushroom really stood out to me as incredibly fresh with a refreshing, thick, and soft texture that surpasses any other place I've had them. Egg was solid, no marinade or anything, but cooked perfectly and they give you an entire egg (not just a half). 100% recommend these ramen, though we would like to add the spicy paste next time to see if we can get even more layers of complexity and flavor. If you're on the hunt for one of the best ramens in Houston, we definitely recommend coming here! This place is Let's Eat Houston approved ✅️

This place really rivals my favorite spot. I got the original tonkotsu as recommended by our server, and it did not disappoint! I also added a mini app of the fried chicken, which was super crispy and a nice balance of sweet and umami flavor. Decor was very unexpected when you walk in. The employees were so kind and very attentative. All I can say is keep up the great work! Your restaurant deserves more praise and I hope you do well!

This Night Market Noodle is one of my favorite ramen spots. I have been coming here many times. Their signature tonkotsu ramen is the best - the noodle and egg were cooked perfectly and served in a rich, flavorful bone broth. The new dish, Mazesoba, surprised me with how full of flavor it was!

I was here on a Friday Night. It was a lot slower than I expected it to be. Food rating. Burnt Garlic Tonkotsu - 4.5/5 Creamy savory broth as intended Takowasa - 5/5 Crunchy raw octopus mixed with wasabi Takoyaki - 4.5/5 Everything was how it was supposed to be. I just wished it was 6 pieces instead of 4. Garlic Soy Wings - 4/5 Like the Takoyaki, there were only 4 wings, 6 would have been perfect for me. Polite and attentive service.

Upon starting a new position at a new job in a new city I tested nearby restaurants during lunch in which Night Market Noodle became my favorite lunch place. The staff is welcoming and attentive to your needs and the kitchen serves food that is both of quality and speed. The atmosphere is comfortably warm with wooden lattices framing each booth. My favorite dish is the Chashu Don for its ability to fill you up while costing you about $11. Their other dishes are yummy as well especially the Chicken Karaage. I’m planning on coming back and I suggest anyone searching for a new place to try to give this one a shot.

Demon ramen spicyness is like buldak. Egg is slightly overcooked. Chaschu is tender but lacking char. Chicken karrage is best appetizers Soy wings are good.

LET ME TELL YOU HFFAS SOMETHING. This place is everything. Me and my coworkers actively come here. Their flavors are out of this world. I love them. I wish there was a place like this in Fort Bend County. I have had the several of their ramen dishes. Absolutely amazing. I want y'all to come here so that they don't go out of business but I don't want to many of y'all showing up because then I won't be able to go here at lunch 😤 literally a dang hidden secret. It gives traditional Japanese ramen joint. Take your butts here and enjoy! It's way better than that ramen place next to H-MART, with all the One Piece posters all over the joint. Trust me, take your butts here and enjoy a great atmosphere and good food. But don't be showing up every 5 seconds because I need a place to chill and eat at. 😤

Since moving to Asiatown, I’ve made it a personal goal to try just about every ramen place in the area and for some reason this place has eluded me until now. For me, it’s easily the best in the area and maybe even the city. I have tried Tamashi, Tiger Den, Mensho, and so many others. But the Spicy Black I had here just blew me away. Full stop. My husband got the Tantan and he doesn’t even normally like pork-based broths but he was raving. Even the appetizers, especially those brussels sprouts, were phenomenal. Even if you don’t like brussels sprouts, I’m telling you just order these. Tommy, our server, was so patient and made us feel very welcome. 10/10 my top ramen spot now. I won’t even comment on the environment of the place because while it’s very nice, all that matters is the food and this place kills it.

This spot used to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants and after covid it transitioned into a ramen spot. I came here to reminisce the old restaurant and to see how the ramen was. I had the curry tonkotsu and they were not bluffing when they said it is spicy. I don’t even want to know how hot the demon ramen is! Overall the ramen was great and flavorful just a tad bit too spicy for me.

I arrived before my friend did & the atmosphere was VERY chill. Only one lady was working the register/serving, which was fine, I didn’t wait very long. She was super sweet throughout our entire service & I wish I remembered her name so I could highlight her here! My friend & I started off with appetizers & those brussel sprouts are SO good & she had never had brussel sprouts before. She ordered another plate after we finished those. The fried gyoza was also good! Just not as good as those brussel sprouts. The Tonkotsu was not as flavorful as I would have liked! I also had to spend $1.50 to make a spicy which I really kinda hate but I do it at other restaurants. I’ll be back to try different ramens for sure & their snack menu is extensive as well. Super affordable, worth the try ultimately. My friend ordered this lychee liquor & it was also pictured in one of the pictures I included!

Night Market Noodle has nice wooden interior with plenty of seatings for big and small groups. The menu has a mixture of Korean and Japanese food. My party had the Brussels sprouts, takoyaki, gyoza, and ika geso as appetizers. The appetizers were ok, except the ika geso. The flour coating on the ika geso was thick, and did not taste good. I had the Moto Tsukumen, which was a disappointment too. The dipping broth was very thick, which had the texture of gravy instead and the flavor was one-note too. The ajitamago was not marinated well, and wasn’t cooked well too. I received good service during my visit.

The overall experience was okay. I’ve never felt compelled to write a review for a restaurant until today. Before sitting down, the atmosphere was great. It was unfortunate that it felt rushed through, including the dining experience as well. I ordered the dish with seafood and it didn’t taste fresh, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

We came here with our friends to try out this Ramen place. I had the Black Garlic Tonkatsu and while the flavor was good the lack of portion of meat was surprising as other places give a bigger portion at a similar price point so that was a bit disappointing. My spouse had the Shoyo ramen and it was a bit more fishy than he was use to, he ended not enjoying it and did not finish. The Squid app was a bit chewy and could have tasted better. The mini apps with the meals were good and the brussel sprouts were delicious. The service was a little bit iffy. The manager/lady wearing a mask was more obsessed with cleaning our table off than bringing out drinks/refills and even interrupted us in the middle of still eating. She even decided to educate us about splitting the bill and then said they can still do it at the register...like I don't need a whole story about it just do it??? Kind of a weird vibe. There are many ramen places in Houston that are the same or better so we will keep trying them to see which is the best.
