Opinions de SOULMATE Bellflower
Well, they manage to be a modern minimalist coffee shop that still has cozy neighborhood vibes. Impressive, because that’s not easy to do. I’m not sure if my parents would feel comfortable coming here, but out of all of the similar coffee shops to it I’ve been to, I’m more likely to take them here than all the others. I had the banana matcha foam which was actually delightful and didn’t taste artificial. It’s expensive, but I have to admit they’re doing something right. I like that the staff remember who you are and walk out to hand you the drink instead of calling out your name. The staff were very friendly. I wasn’t expecting to like this place, just wanted a decent drink, but I ended up really liking it.
Holy moly, these drinks are good. I got a chocolate hojicha with a cream top, and it was delicious. My friend had the soulmate matcha, and she said that it's the best matcha she has ever had. The staff are super sweet as well. This is my first time ever seeing the staff bring drinks to customer's tables (and I have visited so many different coffee shops).
Super cute small coffee shop in bellflower I loved there s’mores coffee, even got 2😅 nice staff, clean atmosphere, great music, they even sell locally made candles and provide board games for you to keep yourself entertained, I did get a croissant sandwich with bacon and omg ima have dreams about it. Def check them out!!
My favorite local cafe, the desserts are yummy and the matcha is delicious not too sweet just perfect drinks
The best ham and cheese croissant I had. The staff were very friendly and the coffee hit the spot. They handed out the food directly to me which I found very genuine and a great touch. Extra points for the selection of old school hip hop
This is a fantastic spot for coffee lovers! The coffee is always great—smooth, flavorful, and well-made. The atmosphere is super chill, making it a great place to catch up with friends, get some work done, or just relax with a cup of coffee or tea. It’s also very welcoming to families, which adds to the warm and inviting vibe. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or planning to hang out for a while, this place is definitely worth a visit!
Love this place! A must try is their soulmate matcha latte with cream top! Really friendly staff, great selection of drinks and pastries, parking is sufficient too! Definitely need to come back :) 9.5/10
Amazing. I love Ricky next door. The matcha is so good and the service so nice!!!
I found a fantastic spot to grab a quick coffee ☕ today; it was such a delightful experience! The line moved swiftly, and I didn't have to stand around for ages before getting my caffeine fix. The ambiance was great, making it a perfect place to unwind for a bit. I was especially thrilled to see they had a Battleship 🚢 game available! It was a lot of FUN, bringing back some childhood memories. #CoffeeLover #QuickBite #FunTimes #BattleshipGame
I tried their Spanish oat latte and it was excellent - 12/10. I also tried their passionfruit Kouign-amann and it was really good- I would just work on making the shape a little tighter. I’m glad I came and I’d love to try their black milk treat one day.
Came buy to pick up some products and loved this welcoming shop! Decided to try their iced matcha (I do unsweetened and oat), and the two women working there were lovely and really informative! She brought the drink to my table and explained how they make their matcha. Excellent dedication to quality and the matcha latte was great! Wish I lived closer so I could come by more often 🫶🏼
I found this place on TikTok and came to try their banana matcha and I’ve been obsessed ever since. It’s an absolute must. Their coffee is good too, but the banana matcha has me in a chokehold. They also have cute little sleeves on your drinks that have a different quote every time! It’s a cute little spot inside to study and even when there’s a line out the door drinks come out super fast. Definitely worth the hype.
Found this place by accident. Was charging my car on the way to work. Then I was bored and walk along the street and found this nice coffee shop! The atmosphere is nice and warm! Drinks are good !
I promise this place never fails! Well, not yet, for me. This is probably my sixth time coming, but I never gave it a review. I came today early, right about when they opened, and it wasn't packed at all! It was super empty and nice to relax. The place was super clean, and everyone was really kind and patient while I was choosing what to order. I ordered the Oat-Based Spanish Iced Coffee. Cost: $7 Rating: 10/10 If you want a little more sweetness, you can add cream on top for $1.25, which I didn't, but I'm sure it would have been great with or without. My amiga ordered their seasonal drink, the Soulmate with heart sprinkles. Cost: $8.50 Rating: 10/10 You must also try their pastries. They have a great selection of different types to choose from early in the morning! I ordered their Passion fruit and Kouign Amann bread. It was really good but a little too sweet for my liking. Cost: $6.50 Rating: 7/10 All their drinks are amazing, and the quality of their coffee is amazing!
I had been seeing the fortunes on social media post and thought how cool of an idea it was! The general aesthetic is very clean, multiple places to sit and enjoy your coffee. The selection for coffee was a bit lackluster. Nothing really sounded like something I had to try. Luckily the vanilla with heart sprinkles was on the menu, otherwise I don’t know what I would’ve tried. The coffee itself does the job. Came out good, but I figure it’s hard to mess up a vanilla latte. For myself it’s worth trying just for the cute fortune, but nothing on the menu is unique to have me coming back often
I stopped by here when I went to Bellflower Courthouse, before and after jury summons or hearing. I usually have Macha croissant and coffee or Macha. Both are great and croissant is large enough for a breakfast.
Being a true Bellflower resident all my life I have been waiting for a good coffee shop to open up here. This is it. Great coffee and great tea so far. I’ve only tried 2 of their specialty drinks but will update once I go through the menu soon! Oh, and they have a vast selection of baked goods as well that I have yet to try. Overall, the aesthetic of this place is simple and clean. Pretty much everything you could want from a coffee shop. Glad a place like this exists in this up and coming city I’m proud to call home.
Cute coffee spot. Nice variety of items on the menu. Yummy passion fruit pastry, not too sweet. Got a banana matcha, super yummy. Light flavor of banana & light flavor of matcha. Yummy balance.
Great Japanese-inspired coffee shop. The Oat Based Spanish is really good. For plant-based, they have oat milk (.50 surcharge) and a vegan and gluten-free banana bread. They also have plenty of seating, street parking, and friendly service. The prices are super reasonable. The owner said they may add artisanal Japanese teas to the menu in the future. Can’t wait to see what they do next!
I recently visited this newly opened coffee shop, and I was absolutely blown away. The dark chocolate mocha I ordered was a flavor sensation, with its rich, velvety dark chocolate perfectly complementing the energizing espresso. The cozy and modern ambiance, coupled with friendly and knowledgeable staff, created a welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and the delectable pastries paired wonderfully with the drinks. Will definitely be back.
Great new coffee shop in Bellflower! There was plenty of seating and the space is super inviting and bright. Loved everything we ordered. Excited to go back! They officially open on Jul 8.
Very clean and pleasant from start to finish. Very friendly staff who will describe the texture and amazing taste of the coffee. Pastries are a must try. I had the matcha almond croissant and it was amazing. I also had the oat based Spanish; which I may say is really good. I originally saw this place advertised on TikTok and boy it didn’t lie when it said they were delicious drinks and pastries. Really enthusiastic about this place. Close proximity to where I live. Always look forward to going here when I want delicious iced and hot coffee
So good! I ordered a hot maple cinnamon latte and a matcha pistachio croissant. The latte tasted of high quality ingredients and the croissant was fresh and flakey. Will definitely be back to try more menu items!

I’ve tried matcha lattes from many places, and they’re usually inconsistent or too bitter. This spot is very consistent, and their matcha lattes are some of the best tasting. I love coming here because I am never disappointed with the taste of the matcha.
Ordered a pumpkin spice and it was perfect! The coffee and flavor balanced so well, I didn't have that wierd syrup after taste. I also tried a Spanish coffee and was left wanting another cup. Their sausage sandwich was my toddlers favorite

Wow, little gem in my backyard and didn't know it. 9.1/10 experience and the coffee is 8.9/10. I had the iced mocha latte with almond milk. Tastes very chocolaty. Not sweet but not bitter. Was going to try a cookie but it didn't look appealing, but it was big. Maybe next time. Location is clean, staff is nice. Just enough space for 25 ppl to relax in the shop. Will go back.
My favorite matcha place! their matcha is always amazing however their portions are so small 😭I wish they had a larger option and less Ice .
Decent spot for a matcha. This one had cinnamon in it, which I am a fan of. One thing I would like to mention is the fine balance between ice and drink. Some places add so little that the drink has no ice by the time your halfway done. Others have so much ice that after 2-3 drinks, your drink is finished. This one was the latter. I got 3ish drinks in and was done. Half of one if you consider the taste I gave my niece to try. It's a hard balance to achieve that middle ground, but the initial temperature of the drink should be considered when adding ice.
Love the place! We parked on the street , a bit hard to find though. I gave 4 stars because my friend almost got injured 🫣🤕; there’s a faucet placed right above the seat. Hard to explain, but you can see it in the photo I attached . I really hope they fix it soon!
I tried the soulmate matcha and was dissapointed. It had a good flavor with the cinnamon and maple syrup but i could not taste the matcha at all. I honestly really liked the vibe of place with board games available to use while you enjoy your drink. I wanted to come back to try it again, but seeing how the owner has responded to some critical reviews has really turned me off from the place. $8 for a coffee is definitely pricey and a fair critcism. The owner could have simply explained how the price of the drinks is reflected in the quality, but instead they essential called anyone who takes issue with the price, broke. Its a very unprofessional response and is why I wont be returning.
Always want to try their coffee because of the good reviews. I finally able to came by. There is a small parking lot close by, parking is easy. There was a line when I got here on Sunday morning, and I am excited. I like their minimalist style decoration. I ordered Spanish latte with oak milk and matcha lavender latte. It took them a little while to prepare the coffee. When I got my coffee, it was a big disappointment. The Spanish latte was very watery with a lack of coffee flavor. The matcha lavender latte was sweet. It did not taste like matcha or lavender at all. I highly suggest quality control on a busy day. Not worth the drive and wait in my opinion. Not likely to return.

I used to enjoy this coffee shop, but recently I had an experience that really changed my perspective. I bought a drink for a vagabond, just out of kindness, but the owner became upset and made it clear they don’t want that kind of person there. I won’t be coming back.
Matcha was watered down, waited 30 minutes just to get my drink. My cup was filled half way looked like someone took 2 big sips out of it. Not worth it! Not sure why they only fill up the cups half way
Lame corny “minimalist” aesthetic with the blandest coffee imaginable (perfectly matches the decor). Even worse, the owner is hella sensitive about any criticism of his place Lmao. I guess he’s insecure about his place closing down in a year or two? Ya good luck selling $8 lattes in Bellflower, homie.

Really weird coffee shop. Wanted houjicha unsweetened and they refused to provide it to me that way. I don’t like consuming added sugar. It’s not even like it’s in the mix, they add a pump of sweetener to it as well. They said they couldn’t sell it to me because the owner doesn’t like it that way. Absolutely ridiculous. Ended up getting nothing instead. My wife got matcha and said it wasn’t anything worth going out of the way for. She said “it was like drinking a glass of milk” and she even requested it with extra matcha. Disappointing and a waste of money.
I am super disappointed and shocked about my experience here. When I asked for the Wi-Fi password, a staff member told me I needed to buy something. I said, of course, I plan to! But I noticed the line was really long and just needed to hop on a quick 15 min first on my laptop. Despite that, he came outside three separate times to remind me to buy something, and even interrupted my call to say I had a 20-minute limit before they'd force me to make a purchase. I was literally on a zoom call and this staff member kept staring at me and saying YOU HAVE to buy something to use the Wi-Fi. What in the world? Such bizarre behavior. I have never been treated like this at a coffee shop. If you want me to buy something that badly, why don't you ask "is there something I can order for you?" or "I recommend ordering this drink, etc." That's basic customer service! Needless to say, I did buy a matcha right after my call LIKE I PLANNED TO. Its not like i was sitting there for hours, my call did run a little longer than expected but overall, I was literally there for 20 mins. I told a friend who lives nearby about my experience and she mentioned the staff is pretty rude based on a prior interaction she had. I will not be returning!
In Bellflower, we believe in community and looking out for one another. I chose to buy a drink for someone who asked for help, simply out of kindness. The way the so-called owner acted in response was disappointing and did not reflect the sense of compassion our community stands for. That interaction left a bad impression, and I will be supporting businesses that better represent the values of this city.
