I got a whole turkey sub yesterday. Pretty sure it's the best sub I've ever had. !! Thank you !!
Great food. Great view. Best and biggest friend bologna sandwich I ever had! About an inch thick!!
Really i love this place: The staff is so kind, the hamburgers are huge, and always a good soup.... I recommend this place 100%
Great friendly, cow-themed diner! I love this place!
Excellent store, people friendly, kind, caring, helpful. Reasonably priced with everything. I would go back all the time. 🙂👍🇺🇸

Nice place for breakfast or lunch. Good is excellent and prices are good. Nice country location. Highly recommend.
Limited hours, but Huge portions for very reasonable prices, the burgers are twice the normal size of a big burger!
Great little place to eat.. 17 inch subs and huge burgers and pancakes at low low prices..
Awesome food, reasonable prices and awesome service.. Definitely worth a stop
Wonderful place for breakfast. Great food and lots of it. Love the staff.
Excellent food and prices breakfast for 2 cost us 12 plus tip
Great local place! Coffee is still fifty cents. The food and service was great. Back again a year later. Still hard to beat! Great food !
Been going here since I was a little kid. Prices are great, food is always good. Wish they took credit cards. I can understand why some businesses don't but I would visit more often if I could, don't usually keep cash on hand
Quaint, rural atmosphere. Friendly people. Good sized portions. Great prices! Go there, they'll be glad to see you!
Great food!!!! Fun little diner just outside of town. Burgers, subs, ice cream and such. Glad we stopped on our way through New York. A+++++++++++
I miss The Cow so much. My Amish friends told me about the place. I live near Buffalo. It is/was a must stop in the Southern Tier. Americana between to buns.
No mirrors, no chrome, nothing flashy... just an open window, a fresh breeze, an unadorned table, great portions, great prices... real country fare with a vegetable stand just across the road... "Doesn't Get Any Better"
Friend told me about Ellery Country Cow, how good the portions, food and service was but until you experience yourself you will think you went back in time with the prices.
Burgers are always perfect! Service and people are so nice. Love going...took 97 year old aunt for her birthday...she loves it there!
EXCELLENT OPERATION. NEW YORK RULES
Local treasure you have to visit. Food is delicious and plentiful!!! You will not be disappointed. Very friendly. I highly recommend!
Love going to eat here. Looking forward to them opening for the season. Great food and great service.
Cute atmosphere and large food portions for the price! The Ellery Country Cow is pretty famous for everything being cow themed and the large amounts of cow toys, knick knacks, memorabilia, and other odds and ends makes it rather amusing to look at everything inside when waiting on an order. The food also comes in pretty large proportions, such as Elmer sized pancakes or their giant sized omelettes which are good for the price. The staff that work here are really nice and easy going people and on one occasion I was offered a free meal due to a messed up order. That being said, my only criticism is that the coffee here is consistently pretty weak. It's very cheap coffee (intentionally so), but it is so watered down that it doesn't really wake you up nor do you get to enjoy the flavor of coffee. Ive noticed this on a few separate occasions, and so while Im glad their coffee is very cheap in terms of pricing, I think making it a bit stronger would be a nice improvement. Either way, I definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast with friends!
Great mom & pop spot for breakfast or lunch. We had the Moo burger w/ bacon, cheese, onion & mayo. Flavor was great & the burger was huge. Affordable prices & great service. Family owned & could feel the love in the food. We'll definitely be back
Great Breakfast. Great Atmosphere. Just great everything!! a tiny mom and pop diner in the middle of nowhere, well near the lake! but great!!!!!!!!
huge burger, very tasty, great price. family owned, super clean....loved it.

This is a small restaurant with plenty of seating. Adorned with cow knick snacks and anything else cow everywhere. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. But beware. Serving sizes are huge. Be prepared to take home leftovers.
This is an interesting place, you might almost consider not stopping at. I had their burger (the smaller one) which was super filling and honestly was one of the better restaurant burgers I’ve had. Cash only, keep that in mind.
Good food good people good prices.. Bring your thoughts .. they don't stop
A true family restaurant. The owner sits at a table to greet and talk with tables. The daughter, and I think nieces were cooking and waiting tables. While I was talking with the owner ( can’t remember her name) she was telling me her nephew came up for the day to slice some vegetables and meats for her husband because he has been able to the past few weeks. In case you missed that , slice fresh vegetables and meats. Tell me a family restaurant that does that.
This place is just amazing! Such a home like atmosphere, super polite and accommodating staff, and prices so cheap its a wonder they make any money! You won't go hungry with the portions either. Absolutely love this place and I'm reminded why every time I go.
Greatest little country restaurant. Fast service. Wonderful staff. Owner is a little crazy with all the foster kids she has had in the last 20 years and still manages to find time to keep the cow running smooth. Please don't take my word for it. Stop by and ask any one the many regulars. Just be prepared for great conversation and a welcoming environment. You will be treated like a regular and family.
Best ma and pa shop I've been to. Coffee is cheap pancakes are huge, eggs cooked just right and the bacon is thick. What more can one ask for? I take my boys here and they are all trying to eat an entire 'elmer' pancake... None have succeeded so far!
Love to go for breakfast. I order Cindy (a pancake just a tad smaller than the plate) and a side of ham (enough to share). The ham is my favorite. They start with high quality product and prepare it perfectly. Oh, the prices are pretty darn good, too.
I first came here, not long after they opened way back when. Every time my dad was working in the area, we'd always stop there. Can't wait to come back again for the first time in over a decade next weekend!! The food speaks for itself, it's just plain awesome!
Great Burgers!! People are friendly...loved the decor.
Out in the country where service is good, people are friendly, and pick-up trucks rule. Always a good experience. My favorite: the chicken salad on whole wheat toast.

Lots of kitschy cow stuff, and a modest mom and pop's sandwich, burger, pizza, soup and salad menu that offers very reasonable prices for very huge portions.
Had the fried bologna sandwich. More than a mouth full and the bun was exquisite.
Excellent food and ample portions. Neat farm motif. Surprisingly reasonable prices for the amount of food!
Really big portions for super reasonable prices. Super quaint and very clean. Staff is very friendly. Food was very good and you can tell It is made with love in the kitchen.
This place is a little home in the wall mom and pop restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is very good. Prices are reasonable.
The food was just fantastic. The burgers were huge. For a sense of what that might mean, you can order a "small" version which is actually about the size you'd normally get at any other restaurant, haha. For my order, I was pleased the ham on the ham and cheese melt wasn't all fat and gristle like I've encountered at other restaurants. If you have a picky child in tow, I'll make a quick note that the cheese was white not yellow sliced cheese. So I can also attest to a delicious grilled cheese. They are a cash only establishment, which I am grateful we knew ahead of time. The only gripe this visit was the service. The family members that encouraged our visit said that the service was out of the ordinary, and as regulars they were unimpressed. To give you an idea, breakfast ends at 11:30a. We arrived after 11a but the waitress said breakfast was still an option as the menus got passed around. By the time she returned, breakfast was no longer an option. And by the time we got the check it was nearly 1p. And that's even after most tables cleared out. It's frustrating when bad service overshadows the excellent food. The cow packed decor did help to provide some distraction. Holstein cows with their black and white spots abound around every corner. We bought some distraction in our wait time having the five year old check out the cows, haha. I'd hit this spot again. The food was great and the I've been reassured the service wasn't typical.
This is exactly what you'd picture if I said: A small town restaurant with a cow theme. The food was plentiful, the prices were reasonable, and the hard-working ladies were really friendly. We left feeling stuffed (in a good way). In the photo, my husband had the full sub, and I had the half. Only complaint I had was that there wasn't air conditioning on a really warm summer day. It was tolerable, but air would have been nice. If I'm in the Chautauqua area again, I'd definitely go back!

I really like the Ellery Cow. This place is small but they were able to sit a family if 11. The food is delicious and the decor is quirky. I've never seen so many cows in one room before! We had just about everything in the menu between us. The kids loved the home fries, my husband raved about the beef hash, and I loved the "Cindy" pancake. The service was great.
Very nice service. You get a large amount of food for the price you pay, burgers are as big as your hand. Their ice cream is also very nice. They take cash only. It's a small, cute local place.

Could the owners actually pay their full amount of their bill at a restaurant they dine at, nope! Second time I've had to use my own money to pay for their dinner that they want for free cuz they complain about everything.
