We ate in the Beer Garden here (which has the same menu but is set up as a different dining area) and it was very nice. The staff were extremely friendly, and the food was very good. I particularly liked the French Onion soup, which was among the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend the Liberty Bell Gastropub or Beer Garden for a meal!
Our entrées were great, and the service was good as well. The cocktail I ordered was just perfect - the right amount of sweetness and alcohol content, but not overpowering. The pork chop was thick, tender and juicy. The fried chicken was on point and the creamed spinach was good. Not great, but good. I would’ve preferred for it to be a little bit cheesier, but it was a vegetable side dish and not a dip. The cheesesteak dumpling was different and delicious. I didn’t have high expectations after reading the reviews, but everything worked out very well for us!
Our server Jeremy very friendly . We ordered 12 oz Steak and chips ( good ) , fish and chips also good and yummy Pub shrimps as appetizer. Cocktail a-little water down. Better stick to the beers
First time visiting, burger & fries was yummy and Prime rib was delicious. Friendly people. Super fast service too. Everyone wore masks! OMG, the Lava cake is amazing!
We loved this place! Delicious food, fun atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. I tried the cheesesteak dumplings and the Asian chop chop bowl which were both scrumptious. Dejan and Kamari both knock it out of the park with fantastic service. We will definitely be back!
Food and service were great!
What a great event space! I was there for a PRLA event and was truly impressed by how great the venue looked and the great service I received from the staff. It was also nice that they gave me $45 to spend at the games inside Parx.
The restaurant was 60% full by the time we arrived at 9p. Our server, Kellina, was awesome! The black and blue burger and braised short rib are meals that I would definitely return for! Had to send back the scallion mashed potatoes due to them being cold but otherwise than that, a great experience for this first time visitor!
Excellent Food & Service by MHumor on December 4, 2021 Waitress was a little rude when we entered the unlocked door 10 minute’s before our reservation as we were not aware that they didn’t open until 5 pm. Otherwise our meals and service were excellent. My wife sampled the “Shepherds Pie” one of their specialities and I had the roasted chicken and both were exhibited with nice presentation and we had no problem finishing the delicious meals. We finished with the Tiramisu and Pumpkin Pie for desert and can’t wait to return again to try more of their deserts and specialties. Our server “Nicole Lynn the was very knowledgeable and attentive and was just another pleasant surprise that made our visit such a success!
What a nice surprise! We visited Parx for a bit of entertainment and discovered this interesting establishment. We returned the next evening for dinner and received outstanding service and enjoyed some really good food! I highly recommend the Liberty Bell Gastropub!
I visited the Gastropub after it reopened post Covid-19. There's really not much to say. The prices are fair, the atmosphere is great, the menu has some great options for everyone and the food was delicious.
Steak was fair but the soup was very good. Great service and cozy atmosphere!
Our bartender Kate was so great. The food was good and nice selection of beers. Will definitely be back.
Food was excellent and my waitress Liora was awesome! Very friendly and courteous!
I had the fish and chips my husband had the prime rib both were excellent and apple pie for dessert delicious
I had low expectations going to eat anywhere in Parx, and Liberty Bell Gastropub exceeded expectations. I got the crispy chicken burger (it's just a chicken sandwich), and the bun was very fluffy and perfect. The remoulade sauce was very flavorful and I'm not a big fries person, but the fries were also outstanding. Our waiter was cool too and service was quick.
Wife and I went here on a whim last evening and sat in the Beer Garden. Destiny Z was our server and she couldn't have been nicer and more attentive!! The food was impeccable as well! I have worked in kitchens and owned a restaurant for years and it is so hard to nail every aspect of a meal but the staff here did it. Every single item, proteins, sides, appetizers, and veg were all perfect!! It was a fantastic spot and you should definitely stop in! We're about 6 hours away but I promise we will be back sooner rather than later!! Thank you for a great meal!
Wow what can I say about our overall experience other than it’s was so fantastic i can’t believe I haven’t spent more time in this place. Our server Kevin absolutely made our nite. His enthusiasm was so welcoming and his spirit had us laughing our butts off. We will definitely be coming back with all our friends!!
Unexpectedly good food and excellent service from Aubrey! Location is inside the casino building but the atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. The free range rotisserie chicken dinner with green beans and scallion mashed potatoes was excellent! So is the seafood chowder, wings, hot shrimp appetizer and fried chicken. Everyone was more than satisfied with their selections...and the portions were very generous! Drinks were also pretty good!
Absolutely amazing service followed by even more amazing food! If you like poutine which is cheese curds over potatoes with short ribs it's the best appetizer in the world
We were up here for a comedy show and stopped in for dinner. We had some surprisingly great food! Oysters and wings were fantastic!
We had dinner at the Liberty Bell Gastropub last Friday night before seeing Larry the Cable Guy. Everything about our experience from start to finish was perfect. The atmosphere, the food, and especially our server Kevin who was so pleasant and friendly and very attentive. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back. Thank you!
The best employee at liberty bell gastropub is Damon. He is amazing. Always know my order always friendly always with a great story. The next time you go ask for Damon
Went to the beer garden on Sunday afternoon to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. We had an amazing time! The food was delicious the service was fantastic. Our server David T was the best!! The espresso martinis were so good! We will absolutely be going back!
Good pub, make sure you reserve the Pub (inside casino) and not Beer Garden. Drinks are on point. Decent selection of Draft, and cans. Poutine, Wings, Caesar salad, and Dessert are a winner every time Great for a quick stop, or a holiday family meal. Recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My wife and I visited Liberty Bell Gastropub last night. The burgers were terrific ! The fries were delicious and the cocktails were tasty! Aubry our server was great. The hostess was very friendly and the manager came to our table to make sure that we were having a good experience . We will be back !!
My mother and I visited the beer garden for the first time this evening for her birthday. The atmosphere was beautiful. Our waitress, Gina was on point and very pleasant. We will definitely be returning!
Great food and great service. Food was outstanding. Our waiter/bartender Damon was amazing. Prior to ordering he asked if we were attending a show. Since we were, he ensured that our dining experience was timely in order for us to make the show in plenty of time. He made great conversation and told us about the casino. We absolutely loved our dining experience. We will definitely be returning.
A couple weeks ago my wife and I stopped by the Liberty Bell Pub in Parx Casino for light bites and drinks before going to a show in the theater. We didn’t have a lot of time so we chose to sat at the bar, which ended up being a wise choice ans we were immediately warmly greeted by a friendly man named Damon. He was extremely helpful in making recommendations for our food, especially since my wife has to work around some food sensitivities. He followed up with a round of drinks, placed our food order and made us feel like he appreciated our visit. We totally did not expect this level of attention at a Casino bar! Our only regret is that we don’t live closer as we would certainly go back to try more of the menu and hopefully get a chance to chat with Damon again!
Chris P was the best waiter I ever had, polite, sweet and took good care of our group. Thank you Chris, you did an amazing job!
We had an amazing experience and highly recommend! I had the shrimp and grits and my husband has the salmon, both were fantastic! We both had Kentucky mules as well which were very good as well! We are definitely going back. The staff was wonderful!
Had a stellar experience last night at the Beergarden. We loved everything from the food to the service to the overall atmosphere. Our server, Jordyn, was phenomenal and really stood out as an exemplar of a consummate professional while dealing with the Friday night crowds. Food is a touch expensive, but portions are sizable and it’s to be expected at a casino
Liberty Bell Gastropub - Parx Casino - Was visiting the Parx casino and came here for dinner. Huge place with a full bar and an entrance to the beer garden. Service was great and very friendly. Food was very good as well. The rotisserie chicken hot and honey was delicious. The wings were great. No one left hungry or thirsty! #pub #beer #hashtagstevej #cocktails #parx
We've eaten here as a group of six on three separate visits. Overall food quality has been good on each visit but service has been mostly poor. Service was slow during each visit but on two of the visits we had servers that were just unfriendly and seemed to hate doing their jobs.
Service is a toss up at the tables better off sitting at the bar with a pleasant bartender -Damon. Good for prime rib on Wednesday. Decent happy hour burgers. Good selection of beer.
This place was calm, and clean. But…. The hostess looked so sad with a blink expression on her face, this carried over to her disposition. We ordered Rotisserie chicken salad, Salmon and mashed potatoes with the Jerk chicken appetizer. The Jerk chicken was brought out and after enjoying it we realized we were not given napkins. We asked the bus boy and he couldn’t find any and then reached over and grabbed some rough paper napkins from over the bar. These napkins that’s used to place glasses on smelled horrible. Our food was placed on the table and everything looked good but we were never given any utensils lol. We did enjoy the Jerk chicken wings, the Mashed potatoes were good and hearty, the Salmon and 2 Asparagus with 4 String beans weren’t bad even though it was cold. They gave very little Rotisserie chicken on the salad and it was diced up so small it began to taste like tune lol. Our waitress Destiny kept disappearing for long periods of time. Our food got cold while waiting and standing around looking for anyone to help. The atmosphere was nice, and perhaps our unfavorable experience may have been isolated on the wrong night at the wrong time. If you decide to stop by Parx casino check them out. Let us know.
We came here for dinner and sat at the bar and this was an okay experience. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. The food was poor to mediocre overall. The seafood chowder was quite tasty to be honest. However, the French onion soup was a touch too sweet. The fish and chips look great, but the fish was overcooked and soggy - not edible. The prime rib was okay - a touch overcooked and missing seasoning. Maybe it was an off night
While the food here is good, the draw for us was the happy hour, which has gone from great to good, to non-existent. They did away with it. Womp, womp.
Depending on the day, the food is either subpar or good(ish). The service is ok, some servers are better than others and some just never come by. The bar drinks are bad. I have *never* had a good mixed drink here *once*. Do not buy alcohol or mixed drinks here, avoid at all costs. I go to the Asian place next door and get warm sake instead.
Ever thing was fine till the bill , they don't give you no change based on the $0.60. I did not get back if they serve a thousand people and take $0.60 from them that is $600. Thank about that , I'll never go back
I want to start by saying my husband and I have been there many times and are usually happy. This time we went during happy hour on a Sunday. What a difference! The only reason I did not complain AT the visit was because the bill was so low that it wasn't worth it. First, the place was empty and the bartender was totally bored, looked miserable and seemed only concerned with flirting with another staff member. I ordered a bloody mary and was never asked how I like it when I ordered it. Normally, a bartender will ask, do you like it spicy or....It arrived and she did not ask how it was, which again, I am not used to. My husband, had to wait over 5 min. for a refill on his beer. The staff was all clustered around the bar chatting which is such a bad look (the place was empty) and our bartender never checked on us. I finally had to call over to the group to get her attention. Finally, the happy hour food was just plain terrible. I ordered the egg and burger slider. The burger was clearly an overcooked frozen patty. It had terrible texture and zero flavor. The chicken balls or whatever they called it had such a fake processed texture and taste. We both had one and that was enough. My husband, had the pizza and we both agreed that it had a sweet weird sauce that I thought also had a blue cheese flavor which was off putting. Bartender also never asked me if I wanted another drink and also never checked on us after the food arrived. Again, we have been there many times, usually on a Saturday and were super pleased. This was a first on a Sunday and I am not sure if the cook is different or what, but the bartender was really over her job and just didn't care. Shame.....Someone needs to work with this shift of people working on Sunday at 4pm as it was such a different experience. This is also maybe the 3rd time, I've ever done a review. That's how annoyed we both were.
What a disappointment. We had gone earlier in the day to the beer garden attached to this restaurant and had a great experience. But when we came back here to the main restaurant for dinner,, our experience was vastly different. Our server never brought plates for our appetizers, which were left at our table by someone else who just dropped them off and left. Our server came back once to take our completed appetizer plate (and didn't even say, oops, sorry I forgot to bring plates). The main dishes were dropped off by someone else and the server didn't return until our meal was done. She just didn't seem to care and there didn't appear to be any manager keeping an eye on the place. This place has really gone to hell.
We were told the wait time was 1 hour. We would get a text. Totally reasonable. After an hour and a half I asked the hostess when we would be seated. She said "let me go clear a table for you" she seats us and there were at least 15 tables vacant and already cleared. I asked for the drink menu, picked one and the waitress said that's not available (Saturday night 8pm) nothing was available on the drink menu except one vodka drink. Out of 10 listed options. And the $3.95 per oyster. I got 6. 3 of the oysters were barely visible in the shell. The size of my pinky nail at best. The other 3 were delicious. But I paid for 6...not 3. Very disappointed in this restaurant. Inside Parx were people spend a LOT of money. Never eating at any Parx again. I'll go to the diner instead.
The food was not good. Both meals were extremely undercooked. Service was extremely slow, and it wasn't busy. Staff seemed miserable, especially the 2 girls working the front desk. Will not be returning anytime soon. Overpriced for mediocre food. Parx really needs to get better restaurants!
Ordered the Short rib burger and my friend ordered the black and blue burger. All I received was a plain american cheeseburger and my friend received a smokehouse burger, not what we ordered. This wasn't the first time Liberty Bell messed up my order. I haven't gone to this restaurant in a long while because of that but decided to go before the show last night and my order was messed up again. I brought up my plate right away without waiting for a waiter to come around. Management got involved to make sure my order was correct. My friend decided to eat her smokehouse burger and she didn't like it, she wasn't expecting bbq sauce on her Black and blue burger that was ordered then I told her they gave you a smokehouse burger. Ready for receipt and paid with my players card to get 30% discount off your total and looking at my receipt there weren't any changes made to see I got a discount . Bad service at Liberty Bell Gastropub
I've never in my life experienced such terrible service. Unfortunately this will be the anniversary to remember but not in a good way. I had made reservations because I was seeing a concert this evening. Booking online was a breeze. I arrived and greeted by 3 women talkng at the podium and the one checking in still had her back turned to us as we were approaching. My first impression of the beer garden was delightful. A bright airy space with lots of windows and at sunset it was beautiful. Our server quickly approached but would then dissappear for the next hour. All that was was ordered were a salmon dish and a pizza. The salmon came out early and after 30 minutes and no pizza my boyfriend approached the host. He apologized and informed us the pizza came from a different kitchen. I was courteous and did not touch my dish until the pizza came. I look over and see a pizza being delivered to a table that was seated after us. At that point the host approached us to inform us that it would be soon delivered and I pointed out that the other table recieved there's first. Simultaneously the pizza finally arrived and he offered to warm my salmon but I didn't want to risk it and we were on a time constraint. It wasn't until that point we mentioned we were disappointed the host offered to take the pizza off the bill. In all my years of working in the restaurant industry and now owning my own customer service based business have I ever been so appalled. We were both very patient, polite and understanding but after waiting an hour I am so sad to say that this establishment needs a revamp, more staff and additional training.
Came into tonight for dinner. We usually have great food. We'll tonight was terrible from the waitress to the food. So disappointed.
Went there tonight for dinner. Mother’s Day. 5-11-25. 6:30 pm. Not a long wait (45 mins) considering the holiday. Sat down and ordered a roast beef sandwich and my husband ordered a rotisserie chicken. Waited at least a half hour for it to come out. As soon as he cut into his chicken you could see it wasn’t cooked. I called our waiter over immediately to tell him the chicken was pink and gummy. He went to get the manger. Should have gotten his name. He was so rude. Came stomping over to the table and informed us that it was just a “ popped vein” (in the chicken??????) and what did we want???? So my husband ordered a Cobb salad to replace it. Took another 20 mins to get it. During the time we waited the server came back over to apologize. Told him it wasn’t his fault but his manager is awful. Manager came back to say, sorry if I came off “some kind of way”… some kind of way was that he didn’t care at all. We ended up taking the salad home. It had taken so long that my husband had eaten half of my sandwich. Great server, horrible food and even worse resolution…
My boyfriend and I went here Saturday night and sat at the bar for dinner and drinks. The older gentleman bartender was miserable, didn't greet us at all while he was putting dishes away. Another busy bartender went to him and said "that couple needs service, they've been sitting here" he looked up and said "well I'm busy!" We waited over 20 min and no one greeted us at all. We left! I'm disappointed, and will not be returning.
We went tonight to the pub for dinner prior to attending a concert at the excite center. Had reservations for 6:15. We were seated at 6:18. Got to our table and waited 10 minutes before server acknowledged us. Ordered an app and 2 drinks from the bar. Put in our order and drinks. Sat for another 20 minutes before my husband finally got up to get our drinks sitting at the bar waiting for server to pick up. The manger met my husband at the bar and brought drinks over. We then sat for 35 minutes waiting for appetizer. They finally brought out the appetizer and my dinner but, not my husband's. I waited another 15 minutes to see when his sandwich would arrive. My husband finally got our server's attention and asked where his pastrami Sandwich was. She apologized and said manager was checking. 10 minutes more and no sandwich. We told the server, just get check, forget sandwich and call manager. He came over about 10 minutes after. He apologized and said so sorry. I have been in the hospitality business for 30 years. I am so disappointed in how our server and management handled everything. We were sitting in plain view of all of them and they just ignored. I understand the business and know when things are busy. But, they had enough staff and plenty of management on duty to support. I have been here before, was excited to go again and was shocked at how horrible the experience was. Will not return again!
