My partner surprised me here for our 2-year anniversary, and the vibe was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, there was live music playing which set the tone perfectly. We arrived a little early, so we sat by the bar for a bit and the drinks were delicious. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. They moved us into the romance room and we had the entire room to ourselves, which made the night feel so special. They always made sure we were well taken care of. The hostess, who was a bit older, was an absolute doll and so lovely to talk to. I really wish I had gotten her name. Our waitress was just as kind and attentive. I will definitely be back. I also never thought pomegranate, pistachio, and Brussels sprouts would go together, but it ended up being my favorite appetizer. Such a beautiful experience.

We had an incredible experience at The Grey Stone. I drive past this location several times a week for work and have wanted to visit but wasn't sure if I would enjoy it or not. Finally I decided I would give it a try. The restaurant was beautiful, the food was incredible, and our service was remarkable. We hadn't ever visited a restaurant quite like this one so we felt a little nervous and a lot out of place however our waitress, K.r.y.s.t.y.n.a (sorry my phone kept autocorrecting your name) made us feel incredibly welcomed. She was very knowledgeable about the menu both food and drinks as I had several questions. She really aided in making our night a success. My husband and I have been to other "fancier" type restaurants and were not treated the way K.r.y.s.t.y.n.a treated us. She really was an incredible waitress. Her hospitality and her way of putting us at ease really made everything come together. The food, the food was incredible, the steak was cooked to perfection. The mashed sweet potatoes were some of the best I've ever had, and the glazed carrots were absolutely delicious. I am looking to visit again for our anniversary, and I recommend The Grey Stone any opportunity I get.

Grey Stone is an absolute gem. The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the atmosphere was beautiful with tasteful decor that really elevates the dining experience. Mary, the owner, was incredibly kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel genuinely welcomed. You can tell she truly cares about both the food and the guests. Highly recommend Grey Stone for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a warm, inviting environment. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Grey Stone and it was a delightful experience. The restaurant offers a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, blending historic charm with modern elegance. The menu showcases creative American cuisine with seasonal ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the spring beet salad and orange tzatziki—it was both fresh and flavorful. The Truffle Tots with roasted garlic were a standout appetizer. For dessert, the Milk Chocolate Tiramisu with walnut caramel brittle was indulgent and satisfying. Service was attentive and friendly. Our server ensured we were well taken care of, and Chef Robert brought out all our dishes, which added a personal touch. The outdoor seating area is beautifully arranged, perfect for a pleasant evening. The ambiance, combined with the quality of food and service, makes The Grey Stone an excellent choice for special occasions, brunch or a refined night out!

Amazing food! Beautiful atmosphere and Excellent staff! The quality of food and drinks are excellent value for the price. They have an extensive craft beer menu, and list all allergens. Vallet parking on the day we came (Saturday)

Delicious fresh and amazing!! If i could give a 100 star review i would. Not only was the food outstanding but the customer service was also!! Courtney gave me amazing recommendations and was super attentive even with it being busy around us. Chef rob came out and greeted us answering all the questions about my boyfriends food allergies. The drinks were delicious. Over all a 10/10 experience!!

The outdoor seating was perfect! There is soft lighting, spacious seating on the outdoor patio, as well as beautiful scenery surrounding the indoor restaurant as well. The food was incredible. The chef definitely has a variety of expertise to have such a diverse and delicious menu! We will be back soon!

First time visiting and had a great experience, would definitely return. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. The fried goat cheese appetizer was phenomenal, the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The crab cakes were just ok, wouldn't say they were worth the money and the sauce should've been on the side. The corn bread had a great flavor, but was hard to get a piece that didn't crumble into tiny pieces. The chicken and dumplings however were fantastic, a perfect dish for a cold night. My party also very much enjoyed their drinks. Only negative was the noise level, it was hard for us to hear each other speak.

1st off the restaurant is beautiful. Chef Rob is a good friend and one of the best chefs in the region so it was not surprise to me that the menu was simple impeccable. I can tell you about every fish and how amazing they were, especially the Tartare. The big hit was the Duck Pot Pie. I was blown away on how amazing this dish was. Top 3 dishes I’ve ever had and I’ve been to plenty of top restaurants in the country. Chef Rob is truly an artist.

We had a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere is beautiful & the food was amazing. We went here for our daughter's Graduation dinner. Our waitress, Donna gave us a warm, family feeling, especially since her family was from Italy. She brought out a special dessert and celebration candle for our daughter. A night to remember! We have dined here before, it's definitely a hidden gem!

Our go-to spot when we want an elevated experience with outstanding food and drinks in a beautiful setting—without any pretension. We just celebrated our anniversary here, and the food was exceptional—beautifully crafted, full of flavor, and creatively designed. They have an excellent beer selection and imaginative, delicious cocktails. Everything is consistently fantastic. Our waitress was wonderfully attentive, never rushed us, and even gave us an anniversary photo shoot—without us asking. The owner also stops by to check on tables, making sure every detail is just right. Their outdoor area is absolutely gorgeous. We even had our wedding shower here, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, the space was stunning, and the food was just as incredible as it is today. Everything feels polished, professional, and special—warm and welcoming, never stiff or formal. Thank you, Grey Stone!

After driving by the Grey Stone hundreds of times, we finally got a chance to try it out for our anniversary dinner. We had heard good things, and we were not disappointed. We booked via OpenTable, and were happy to see that they had openings on a Saturday night. The interior decor was very nice…modern, yet classic and quaint; a nice balance. Service was very pleasant and professional. We were very pleased with the server, her helpers, and the management stopped by on occasion to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Always a good sign to see an involved ownership that cares about their service! We were very happy with our meals! The peppercorn steak was perfectly prepared and had ample sides provided, and the crab cakes were outstanding. They have a creative drink menu with cocktail options for everyone. And the beer menu is very impressive, even to a craft beer lover like me. Our only bit of critique is that when we ordered our second round of drinks when our meal arrived, it didn’t arrive until we were almost done our meals. But it was a Saturday night, and we understand that things can get busy. The service really was trying their best and were very accommodating throughout the night, so we didn’t let that sour what we thought was a great evening. We look forward to coming back when the weather improves and when the kids come back from college so we can eat out on their patio!

Here’s a refined review: This restaurant is an absolute gem! The food was not just great—it was exquisite, with every dish perfectly crafted and bursting with flavor. The ambiance is simply awesome, combining elegance and comfort to create a dining experience that feels both luxurious and welcoming. The service was impeccable; the staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. It’s rare to find a place that excels in food, atmosphere, and service all at once, but this restaurant nailed it. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy fine dining at its best!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Grey Stone and it was an experience that left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the ambience was captivating, especially the courtyard, which was so peaceful and serene. But as great as the atmosphere was, the food was the true star of the evening. Every dish seemed to be crafted with care and was packed with flavor! The staff seated us at the perfect table to enjoy the entire view. Then we started off with their fig flatbread and watermelon salad which went far beyond our expectations as it was our first time trying it. While looking at the dinner menu, I explained to the waitress that I had some dietary restrictions. After a few minutes of looking, the Chef came over to the table and went over a few of the menu options with me, which put me at ease and made my decision an easy one. I made the decision to go with the Bronzino and so glad I did as it was phenomenal. Cooked and seasoned to perfection! Having dined at plenty of restaurants across different states, I must say this is by far one of the nicest, most welcoming places I've been to. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff made sure we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. The service was impressive, with the staff being both attentive and knowledgeable, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Shout out to Chef Rob for taking the time to explain the food options and preparing an amazing meal!! Even though this was our first time here it will definitely not be our last! If you are thinking about dining here…. go for it! You will not be disappointed!! Yes this place is a 10 out of 10 !

We just had an amazing dinner!!! We started out with an amuse-bouche of Scallops that were out of this world. Then we had Octopus and it was so incredibly tender. For dinner we had the Red Snapper and it was cooked to perfection. We ended the evening with dessert and coffee. Well worth the hour drive in each direction. Can't wait to come back.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Gray Stone. The owners have created a beautiful restaurant from an old stone building. The interior is beautifully decorated and the food is always excellent. I had the Grilled Octopus appetizer and an excellent Jambalaya for lunch. My wife had the Mediterranean Shrimp Flatbread Appetizer and a large Chicken Caesar Salad as an entree, much of which we took home, as the portions were generous. The Gray Stone has an extensive wine list and an attentive staff. We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary and were given a gift card by the owner for a return visit. This is one of our favorite special occasion restaurants. On busy evenings, valets will park your car across the road in the overflow lot. In warmer months, there is outdoor dining as well. Right from the start a few years back, they have had large crowds of loyal diners and are often packed, which is a testimony to their consistency in quality food and service. Prices are comparable to many other restaurants in the Newtown, PA vicinity. Reservations are recommended.

We celebrated New Year's Eve at the Greystone! They had a special 6-course menu. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our selections. The dishes were creative and nicely portioned. The staff were fantastic and very attentive, especially Sara. What a great way to bring in 2025! Thank you!

Wow wow wow! Went for a late lunch and left feeling so pleased. Had two apps and a side and each was so delicious. Three way tie! Dessert menu was also inspiring but went with the lemon tart. All dishes were great portions and our server Lauren was attentive, friendly and professional. We ate on the outside patio and when done we walked around to look at the lovely grounds and the other outside patio eating areas and John offered to give us a tour of the inside. So lovely and unique- great place for birthday parties, wedding parties or a date.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time here today. Menu offerings were for summer. Started off with a Lion in the Sequel Cocktail which was refreshing. The appetizer of choice was Cantaloupe Gazpacho; Entree was Short Rib; Dessert Chocolate Raspberry Tart and Pineapple Caramel Rum Sorbet with a Cappuccino with Almond Milk. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was relaxing, beautiful and delightful! I cannot wait to come back!

Talk about class. This place is top notch! Our server Donna accommodated us from the moment we walked in and stayed open an hour later just so we could continue celebrating my grandmothers 80th birthday. The food was beyond excellent and we appreciated all that The Grey Stone had to offer! We will be returning customers!! From the Reinerts!

Great apps and service at the Grey Stone. The entrees and sides were a little less fantastic but still good. Drinks were good as well and there was a solid beer list. Additionally the place was mostly empty, could be a great location for company holiday party or corporate event

Just got back home from “dinner”(we got there at 4:30 lol) From the minute we walked in, the staff and the ambiance were excellent. From a very interesting bottle of wine,to the espresso at the end of the meal, food and service was excellent.

First time at this wonderful place. My son took me with his family, and my daughter to celebrate my 60th birthday. We dine outdoors. The weather was perfect. Blake was our waiter. He was amazing, respectful and attentive. He made the celebration more special, even with a candle on my dessert ! Thank you Blake for making the experience and my 60th birthday extra memorable. I totally recommend this place. The food is amazing!

Called last minute with a party of nine at lunch time - didn't hesitate, no problem. Twenty minutes later, Blake was taking our drink orders. Excellent service, really good food - ever get 9 people to agree on anything? Well, everybody raved about their lunch. Highly recommend.

We were a private event in the special dining room. We had a special luncheon with three plate options. Our event was on December 22 and consisted of 45 people. Grey Stone agreed to open for our special event on that day even though Grey Stone was scheduled to be closed. The servers and event coordinator were very attentive to all of our needs with dietary restrictions and young children. The food was prepared perfectly and arrived in a timely manner inside the scheduled timeframes during our event. When you have a party of 45 people you can schedule this type of event and have a three course meal with salad, three plate choice entre and a dessert. On a side note, we had multiple Grey Stone employees come up to us and offer condolences because we were there after a funeral.

Came in with 7 people..Dinner was so good, our table was quiet (and we had a bunch of generally noisy people). I should have taken more pictures, but this is what came out 1st. Highly recommended! I’ve been in many times before and they never fail to impress! Oh, and although their menu is outstanding…the creativity on the specials are great!

From the valet to the hostess to the server Cassidy, the staff made you feel welcome and like old friends. The food was excellently prepared (had eggplant steak and cavatelli lamb ragu). We were there for our anniversary and we're pleasantly surprised with a special addition to our desserts (special flare). We will definitely be back.

Why haven't you gone yet? Pennsylvania has its fair share of restaurants, but The Grey Stone is a GEM. Warm, welcoming, with a terrific staff. Jackie and Arlene were so incredible. Arlene and the owner made our anniversary so special. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. The food was OUTSTANDING. Kobe lettuce wraps, General Tsos broccoli, Kobe short ribs and a tangy lemon chicken. All delicious. WE WILL BE BACK!!

FANTASTIC food , service and atmosphere! The King Salmon, Crab Sliders and Steak Friti were PERFECT - the combination of flavors were absolutely tantalizing. Our very likable server, Blake, was friendly, knowledgeable and available just when you needed him. The atmosphere is GORGEOUS and the prices are more than fair for such incredible food. A perfect choice to celebrate our anniversary! If you haven't yet tried Grey Stone, PUT THEM ON YOUR MUST-HAVE LIST! Fabulous!

Everything was fabulous tonight — especially our server, Blake! Even though he was busy, he made it a point to ensure we and all of his tables were well taken care of. That level of attention and care is what makes someone a truly outstanding server. He was friendly, kind, and even surprised us with a sparkler for our anniversary — such a thoughtful touch! Well done, Greystone, for your beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and wonderful staff. I hope you continue to have more people like Blake and the rest of your amazing team. Thank you for making our night so special!

Update for 10/11/25..... we arrived and were promptly sat. Had the sweet potato poutine and general tso broccoli and the wagyu cheesesteak all were awesome ! Aeegice was fantastic. Glad we came came and will return again. Original review follows....We arrived with a reservation and for some reason had to wait while the hostesses seemed to be sorting out where to seat people. There was a couple ahead of us in the same situation. Once we were sat it took a very long time for anyone to come and greet us. But when they finally did we put in our entire order. We didn't receive our drinks until after our appetizers arrived. The food tasted fine. The drinks, once they arrived, were fine. We waited for the entree as well but also finally arrived. Our server was nice and apologetic but overall not a great experience for the money spent.

11/10 stars. The artichoke mascarpone dip was literally to die for 🤤 like I could’ve eaten the whole thing myself. Chef Rob is an actual wizard, every single dish was perfection. You can tell he puts his heart (and magic) into everything that comes out of that kitchen. The food? Unreal. The service? So good. The whole experience? Chef’s kiss. 👌 Already planning my next visit, this spot is an absolute must.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Greystone exceeded every expectation! The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful and made the entire evening feel special. The complimentary valet was such an amazing surprise, especially on a freezing night, and really set the tone for the level of service we experienced. The filet was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. Every staff member we interacted with was exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming. From start to finish, everything was flawless. We had an incredible experience and cannot wait to go back!

Came for a combined birthday dinner of myself & daughter and this was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff goes above and beyond regardless if you are celebrating anything special or just having a nice meal. The food is exceptional and inventive, which I think could be described as what dreams might be made of. They have an Innovative menu that never disappoints with more uncommon ingredients that make you feel exquisite but not out of your element. Makes you feel at home but if you grew up with a 5 star chef and the most hospitable people.

I came to The Greystone in March to celebrate my best friend's birthday, and everything was amazing. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere felt really cozy but still special. We took some pictures because the food looked just as good as it tasted! It was the perfect spot for a birthday dinner, and we had such a good time. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a nice place to celebrate or just enjoy a great meal.

First time here.. Very nice place...beautiful grounds. The dining rooms are spacious as well. The drinks were great and the salads and apps were terrific. Our server, Acelyn (sp?) was excellent. The entrees were very good. My wife didn't care for the short rib pappardell dish, but the others were all tasty. The prices were in line with expectations. I would definitely go back.

Grey Stone restaurant is an old mansion, converted into a sprawling restaurant .Clean fresh space ,well appointed Our dinner experience started by being greeted by three young ladies as maitres' de .The environment is very pleasant, bar area has a great vibe Wide TV screens at the bar ,with sports broadcasted We were seated promptly. Our waitress, Olivia was very pleasant. She knew the menu ,understood our questions and made good recommendations. After ordering wine, our appetizers came out : Chilled Cucumber soup and Dynamite shrimp. Portions were generous and delicious with nice presentation, plenty to share For main course we ordered Grilled pork chop and Grilled Salmon Both dishes were tasty and done to perfection.Generous portions again For dessert we ordered Banana Fosters bread pudding .Amazing sweet finish. Our experience Grey Stone was very pleasant, well paced and attentive. My only disappointment was the separate room we were seated, we felt isolated a bit, thats why only 4 stars I highly recommend Grey Stone for a delicious meal either Romantic or family outing with prices in line for fine dining the area

This is an amazing place, went for dinner with family on my younger daughter's 20th birthday. Service from beginning to end was excellent plus valet parking. Let's talk about food it was amazing everything we ordered was great. So you guys might wonder why not five stars well place is upscale as advertised however when you ask for water they bring you in plastic glasses yes plastic that was not cool. I couldn't resist and I asked the server his response was that we are worried about breakage and don't really have the room to store 🤔 so there you have it my reason for four stars. I will however say that you should visit they have done excellent job.

1st time here for a bridal shower. The food was mouth-watering. The service was superb. The drinks were not watered down. The outside seating area was relaxing. I will definitely be back.

I Ordered grilled octopus . Chewy and not delicious ( with way too much smoked sausage) second dish was an extremely greasy Atlantic salmon and salty . Returned my crème brûlée ( horrible) . Did not wanted to ruin my company’s dinner by returning everything . They thought food is good . I am not coming back and don’t recommend this restaurant . Expensive and not good. Waitress was sweet .

Went to dinner with a party of 6 -so we tried several apps and entrees and no one was excited with their food. The chicken pot pie was a real disappointment; tiny diced carrots and a couple pieces of shredded chicken and a piece of puff pastry sitting on top; I expected chunks of nice chicken meat and vegetables in a pie crust. One of my dinner partners had the bolognese which she said was good not great. Several folks had the wild caught salmon and questioned whether it was really “wild” and we’re disappointed with the portion size for the price. I think for the prices they need to up the quality of the food and also the wine selections.

Our experience was like sailing with strong winds then only to have them die and never return. We had a rough go of The Grey Stone and to be clear, there is no one to blame or fingers to point but it was our experience of the place on top of being our first time and it didn't paint a strong picture. Long story short, we came into a packed restaurant and service & food was good up until our appetizers which we were pleasantly pleased with. Then it wasn't till approximately an hour and half later when we received our entrees. During that wait, we saw multiple tables who were seated after us receiving main courses. After that a woman who never identified herself said that anything else we ordered was going be comp'd. Several things "wrong" with this as it implies we now have to stay even LONGER for retribution and we have to eat MORE instead of making things "right" with what was already accounted for. Here's the kicker, we ordered two deserts and a coffee and they NEVER comp'd the coffee; it was just funny at that point. The food was great but we were there for 3hrs+ and it sucked the life out of our night...we will never be returning.

S
Shane Bright

Don’t mean to be a debbie-downer because the service, atmosphere and staff, were all GREAT! The food was extremely mediocre for such a high price point. They are very close to being upper echelon but just not quite there yet. Which probably explains was it was close to being dead on a Friday night. Me & my girlfriend were not satisfied with either of our meals…Calamari was desperately lacking flavor. My Louisiana chicken sandwich was 80% bread which was very odd. My girlfriend got the smash burger which was a wet mess, which also was unpleasant. The cornbread had a distinctive taste that threw us off. All in all, with the right cooks/chef, I think this place has the potential to be excellent. If I give them another chance, I will try the outside dining area which seems to intrigue many others. Left this review NOT to bash their business but to give constructive criticism. I will edit my review if I happen to try them again.

Went there for Christmas Eve dinner. The food was OK, but the service was poor. We waited a long time for our main courses and inquired several times. A manager came by to check in on us and said she’d be right back, but she never came. I then tracked down another manager, who did the same thing. No one ever came to our table to apologize or ask if they could do anything to make things right. The food finally came out in increments, instead of together. The food was OK, but certainly not great and the service dampened the mood. At the end, I complained to one of the managers, who then asked what they could do to make things right. We had already paid the bill and purposefully skipped dessert. We were very unhappy with the experience.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to the hype—or the price. I ordered the chicken and prawn paella, which was listed at a jaw-dropping $60. For that price, I expected something special. What I got was a shallow, underwhelming dish with exactly four shrimp, barely any chicken, and absolutely no trace of the crab that was clearly listed on the menu. When I asked about the missing crab, the staff told us it was “mashed in”—which sounded more like an excuse than the truth. I tasted nothing that even remotely resembled crab. It felt like a lazy cover-up, not an honest explanation. For a dish that expensive, you’d expect transparency and quality. This was neither. To make matters worse, the drinks were clearly watered down. Weak pours, no punch, and no justification for the price point. It felt like we were paying premium rates for bargain-bin service. Overall, this place feels like it’s coasting on aesthetics or reputation rather than actually delivering a good dining experience. Definitely not worth the price. I’d recommend spending your money somewhere that respects both your palate and your wallet.

N
Nozima Kudrow

Very disappointed! I ordered takeout here for the first time and asked for their burger. They gave me a bun with just meat and cheese. When I called in, a group of teenage girls pretended to be the manager, didn’t resolve anything, told me I had ordered a plain burger, and then hung up on me. Will I be ordering here again? No, thanks! If you can’t handle the basics of being polite, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that do a much better job.

D
Daniella Jacob

I came here for a work dinner and expected a great experience. The food and ambiance were as expected, but I happened to overhear a conversation among restaurant staff that left me in disbelief. If you are a person of color, I would highly recommend not stepping foot in this restaurant. To put it simply, you are not welcome here.
