My husband and I really enjoyed our first visit here! We started with the hummus platter. The server also brought a delicious round bread, which we tried not to devour entirely so we'd have room for dinner. My husband had a lamb & chicken kabob with the avocado salad and rice. I had a lamb kabob with zucchini and steak fries. The kabobs were so flavorful and came with a delicious light tomato-based sauce. Our sides were also great. I couldn't resist the lava cake for dessert, but I was extremely full when I left! With such an enormous menu, we'll definitely return.

It’s become a tradition for us to stop by Samarkand whenever we go to visit our friend in New Jersey. We always start the trip here with a wonderful dinner and incredibly delicious food, then head off to enjoy time in New Jersey and the surrounding states. I truly love this tradition - the food, the atmosphere, and the experience never disappoint. Highly recommend this place!

Cheese cheburek was super tasty — fluffy, flavorful dough and lots of filling options. The samsa was also really good, a bit on the crusty side, but I still preferred the cheburek. The plov was excellent — juicy, tender meat and perfectly cooked rice. We also tried the Kebab Paradise platter, which was a great mix of everything — every item was packed with flavor. Service was amazing, and the food came out quickly. Definitely a place worth revisiting!

We’ve been here a couple of times, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently excellent, and the service matches it. The kebabs are an absolute must-try. We came in for dinner recently and were seated right away—no wait, which was a nice surprise. The front desk staff were welcoming, and they quickly brought out a high chair for my son, which we really appreciated. For our mains, we ordered the Plov Samarkand, Lamb & Steak Gyro, Assorted Shish Kebab Platter, and the Halloumi Kebab. Everything was outstanding, but the kebabs truly stole the show—flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The chicken, beef, and lamb kebabs were all incredible, and the halloumi added a salty, savory twist that worked beautifully. Gyro was quite delicious and filing. The fried cauliflower made a great side—lightly crispy and full of flavor. If I had to choose, the beef and chicken kebabs would be my personal favorites. The Plov Samarkand was also a standout—the lamb was so tender, it fell apart at the touch and melted in the mouth. We wrapped up the meal with a chocolate lava cake, which was the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic dinner. I highly recommend giving Samarkand a try—you won’t be disappointed! IG: journey_man16

The service was great, I had made a reservation to ensure I got a table on Saturday night, I know they can get busy. Food was delectable and drool worthy. The presentation, smell and taste was phenomenal. Thinking about it makes me want more. We were eating upstairs. The decor was nice and simple, we had soft lighting at the booth area. Highly recommend.

First time here. Enjoyed the appetizers so much we asked for another (Spanish and cheese chebureks) the sauce that comes with it was awesome. Stan had the kebabs (chicken, lamb and salmon), they were AWESOME!! I had the beef and mushroom with 3 cheese sauce....it was ok but not thrilled by it (wanted to try something different), the sauce was good. I highly recommend this place!!

The food was great but I do think the sides quantity should be more for the price. The service was great until a waiter mistakenly gave my son food to someone else & we had to wait all over again but it was made up with a free dessert lol & the atmosphere is very nice except the customer kids run around the restaurant like it’s Chuckie cheese they kept bumping our chairs & know one said a word & a family brought in two small dogs. I have never seen that in a fine dining restaurant. Other than that it is a nice place & our waiter was very busy but did a great job !!!

I’m in the area from California on a business trip, and I stumbled upon this restaurant for a late dinner. I’ve never tried Uzbek cuisine before, but let me tell you, I am so blown away by how delicious all the food was! Uzbek cuisine is now in my top 3 go-tos, and I am not exaggerating when I say I would fly all the way back to this town just to eat here. The restaurant itself has rustic wood furniture, a spacious floor plan, and an overall really cozy & welcoming vibe. The staff are really nice and attentive. Shoutout to my server Laziz! He was really friendly and his service was 5/5! Made the experience really great. The food - amazing! Seasoning was perfect, meat was tender, flavors were rich and creamy. It felt like a warm hug. I wish I could go and the back and shake the hands of all the kitchen staff because WOW! Y'all turned me onto Uzbek food! Yum!!

Tasty food and fun place downstairs, however our waitress upstairs was not very “happy”. I think it’s important to have a waitress who approaches you with smily happy face and appropriate attitude for her position. Music downstairs could be not what you like dep on crown. Otherwise I still recommend this restaurant especially if you visit with good friends!

Great, authentic, fresh Uzbek food. Very extensive menu with plenty of ethnic and non-ethnic options such as steaks, burgers etc. Wonderful service and ambiance.

We had to try a variety of dishes since the appetizers (samsa and manti) were excellent. The lamb steak was especially good, served with thinly sliced onions and fresh dill.

Always delicious food. I recommend the Tandoori Samsa, Plov, and Manti! The Avocado Salad is always fresh and tasty. However, the service could be improved — it’s usually slow and makes us wonder if the server is also the one cooking. Desserts are just meh.

Samarkand Steak House is an absolute gem in the Feasterville area. If you’re into bold, grilled flavors and Central Asian cuisine, this place is a must. The vibe is fun and lively, and even when the place was packed, the service was impeccable — there’s even a button on the table you can press for immediate service (and yes, it works!). Now, let’s talk food: I’m a huge borscht fan, and the version here was out of this world. I added a little sour cream, and it was honestly worth stopping in just for that bowl. If you’re a borscht lover, do yourself a favor and try it. We also had an assortment of shish kebabs — chicken, steak, lamb, and shrimp — and every one was perfectly grilled and flavorful. The boiled pierogies were delicate, soft, and full of flavor too. Everything we had was delicious, and it’s clear the kitchen really cares about quality and detail. Can’t wait to go back.

It is without a doubt the best restaurant in America that I have ever been to. We were a group of 20 people for dinner, and every single one of us was greatly satisfied with our food. The staff are incredibly nice and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. I am not generally a meat lover, but here it is different. The quality and flavor of the dishes are exceptional. Highly recommended!

The steaks and kabab board for $300 was so worth it. Everything was super juicy, fresh and well cooked. The presentation just blew our mind. The ambience is very nice with indoor and outdoor seating. Beautiful ambience. High chair available for kids.

Authentic Uzbek and Central Asian cuisine with succulent food. A must-visit gem in Feasterville. 🥩 **Juicy Lamb Chops to Die For** The lamb chops are perfectly seasoned, grilled to tender perfection, and bursting with flavor. Great service from front hostess and Pavlo, who helped us select delicious dishes as first timers and to celebrate our special occassion! Will be back!

The restaurant itself was clean, well decorated and comfortable. The waitstaff were sweet, punctual, and attentive yet gave you space to enjoy the experience and didn’t hover. The food came out quickly. The food was SIMPLY outstanding. The Compot drink was flavorful but not overly sweet. The Greek Salad had a lovely dressing and the veggies were all fresh. The bread was incredible and had a wood fire flavor. The meats were INCREDIBLE. Honestly the best restaurant in the area and a must try for everyone.

It is my wife and I first time to come here. Service is amazing and friendly. But the food, wow!!! Highly recommend the Tomahawk steak. It’s the best. I’m adding this restaurant on my favorite list. Next steak to try “cowboy”.

This place is amazing! I made reservations at noon and was able to reserve a table for 3 sameday. We were greeted by very friendly hosts and the scent of the food when we walked in was intoxicating. Our waiter was very attentive and cordial, he timed our courses perfectly and the food tasted out of this world and was nice & hot! Lovely decor and wonderful experience altogether. Management was very friendly and genuine, they even brought a pretty red rose over for me for national womens day. 100% recommend this establishment to anyone looking to try something new, great selection and descriptive menu.

Amazing Central Asian food. Seriously everything is authentic there. Crazy amount of options in the menu. Good price for this quality. Server Bokhtiyar was also super kind and friendly. Big portions and fast service. Also restrooms are super clean, the whole restaurant is clean and smells amazing.

We came down here from Delaware for my sister’s birthday and had a great time. Kristina was amazing and everything she suggested was delicious. We loved the food, atmosphere and service. Will recommend this place 1000% and will definitely be back.

Top ten restaurants I’ve ever visited. The meats were super juicy and flavourful. We got only the uzbeki food and now we want to visit Uzbekistan!! The pulou, manti, hand pulled noodles and Kabobs were all 10/10

High-quality restaurant with high-quality food and outstanding service. The whole dining experience here was superb! My favorite was the beef tongue with mushrooms and a Turkish style liver. Make sure you leave some room for Medovik!

Went here for my brother’s birthday. The lamb ribs were absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed the Mediterranean combo. The pumpkin samsa was so good and the sauce just added an extra kick. The manager was one of the nicest people we’ve ever met! Our server was very attentive. We will be back many times!

This was our first visit, and it was nothing short of impressive. The interior was extremely clean and beautifully designed. The food was incredible and definitely authentic. I gave 4 stars for the service, as it was just a bit slow, but nothing too concerning. That being said, it's a 5-star experience overall, and we’ll be back again.

Came here for Valentine's Day for the first time. We'll definitely be coming back. The food is all amazing and generously portioned, especially the appetizers that we had. Service was very friendly and the live music was at a great volume for talking, even sitting two tables away from the stage.

We had a family dinner after the movie night so we decided to explore the Samarkand cuisine. We were late so missed our reservation but the restaurant manager was kind enough to arrange a table for us outside. We loved every item we had. It’s a great experience to enjoy the Uzbek food!

I had a great experience at Samarkand Restaurant. The shish kebabs were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. The steak was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the high quality of the ingredients in every bite. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall, the food and service exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great grilled meat.

Samarkand Steakhouse is a great spot for authentic Uzbek cuisine. The food is flavorful, portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh. The plov was especially delicious - aromatic rice, tender meat, and perfectly balanced spices. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Definitely worth coming back!

First time here — and wow, what an experience! I’ve never tried Uzbek food before, but this place completely blew me away. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can tell the chefs really care about what they do. The interior is warm and stylish, creating a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel at home. A big shout-out to the front desk girl — she was super friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was perfect. Service? Super super! Fast, polite, and full of smiles. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing friends next time.

Atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. The bread is amazing, salads are a perfect size before dinner. The steaks were perfectly cooked and delicious. The flavor of the steak was by far some of the best I’ve had. Pricing in my opinion is appropriate to the quality of the food and service.

This place is a hidden gem for Central Asian cuisine. The menu has a wide variety from grilled meats to salads and pastries, and the authentic Uzbek dishes are rich in flavor. It’s become one of our go-to spots for a fun dinner out, and the friendly staff always makes us feel welcome.

Overall, Samarkand Steakhouse is a fantastic choice, largely thanks to its exceptional food and inviting atmosphere. The grilled meat is the clear star here—it was incredibly juicy and yummy, cooked perfectly and clearly a highlight of the menu. Combined with a great environment, the dining experience felt very pleasant. The staff also deserves praise for being friendly and nice, contributing positively to the mood of the restaurant. The only minor point needing attention is the service, which could use a little improvement to match the high quality of the food and setting. If you're looking for delicious, perfectly grilled meat in a lovely space, this place is definitely worth a visit, perhaps with a slight allowance for slower service times. Did you try any specific cuts of meat

Nice halal restaurant. We tried the ribeye, Plov, and fried ribs. Decent flavors but nothing stood out except for the fried ribs and chips.

I had such a great time at this restaurant! The Plov Samarkand was an absolute showstopper, boasting an incredible depth of flavor that had me savoring every single bite. I also thoroughly enjoyed the King Burger, made with a super tasty blend of ground beef and lamb—it was so good, I got one to eat there and another to take home! The entire dining experience felt incredibly warm and welcoming, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their bold and delicious offerings. This place truly has something for everyone, with a menu that spans various cuisines. I particularly recommend trying their exquisite dishes and exploring their wide array of teas. The restaurant itself is clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. Even though I'm not Uzbek or Tajik, I absolutely adore their food; it's so delicious! The dishes are flavorful, tender, grilled to perfection, and best of all, halal

The Baba Ghanoush was outstanding, the Caesar salad was really yummy and the Prime Rib Cowboy Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. Fries were really nice and crispy. If there’s one area that could be improved, it would be the presentation, which didn’t quite match the quality of the food but overall the food was excellent and I’d definitely return.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. We stopped by with my husband for a nice dinner and almost everything was quite delicious. Menu has fantastic variety for everybody. The only concern is their desserts. They were not good, I didn't even touch it after the first bite. All I felt was tons of sugar, which was upsetting because a dessert I ordered costs $14. Prices are expensive. However, portions are quite big. Also, good for sharing. Service was fast and very decent. Place has its own parking lot.

**Mixed Experience – Great Flavors, But Overpriced with Some Issues. I ordered the kabob platter, and while the kabobs themselves were tasty, they were extremely oily and had large chunks of animal fat** between the meat. The lamb chops were the highlight—perfectly cooked and delicious. However, the chips underneath the kabobs were also drenched in oil, making them unappetizing. For a $150 platter, I expected more. The portion of grilled veggies was small, and there were no fresh salads, lemon slices, or pickles to balance the heaviness of the meal. That said, the bread was outstanding — truly out of this world! One major downside was the 20% service fee added to the bill. I wasn’t sure what it covered (perhaps a tip?), but since I couldn’t find my server to ask, I left an additional $5 tip anyway. Better transparency about this charge would be appreciated. Final thoughts: Good flavors, but the excessive oil, lack of fresh sides, and unclear pricing make it hard to justify the high cost.

Samarkand Steakhouse has a nice ambiance and a welcoming atmosphere, which initially set a good tone for our visit. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. The customer service was disappointing. Our server was not very friendly and didn’t check in to see how we were enjoying our meal, which made us feel a bit overlooked. As for the food, it was hit or miss. The lamb dumplings were delicious, and the sweet chili shrimp was the standout dish of the meal—definitely the best thing we ordered. However, the ribeye steak was quite tough despite being cooked medium well, and the charcoal-grilled trout was just okay, lacking seasoning and real flavor. Overall, while the ambiance and a couple of dishes were enjoyable, the service and consistency of the food would need improvement for us to consider returning.

T

The Beef Kebob was amazing…the plov was extremely disappointing, rice was tough and not much flavor. The meat in it was good but that’s about it about the plov. Pretty sure they are focused on making excellent meat but would not recommend plov.

S
Steve Qiu

We chose this place from many options with high expectations, which may be why the experience felt disappointing. Even my younger kids rated it only 3.5 stars. Service is good , the plov and chicken wings were good, but the lamb and beef were very dry and difficult to chew, which is our whole purpose to be here. Another issue was with the bill. A 10% service fee was added to the meals list, rather than clearly listed under the total, which I don’t think is a good practice. I admit I should have checked the bill more carefully, but this felt misleading. I think it’s reasonable to add a service charge (even 20%) for large groups as long as it’s clearly shown, not hidden within the itemized meal list.

A
Angela Arzu

We visited on Valentine’s Day with a reservation. While we didn’t want to leave a low rating, we did feel disappointed by the service. Despite having a reservation, we were asked to “sit anywhere,” which was surprising — if we wanted to sit anywhere, we wouldn’t have made a reservation. We also waited about 30 minutes before a server attended to us. A simple welcome or acknowledgment would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, the hostess at the front desk did not greet us and seemed unfriendly, which set the tone for the evening. We understand holidays are busy, but better communication and a warmer welcome would greatly improve the experience. We hope management takes this feedback into consideration.

Many times, I travel a considerable distance and drive for about 45 minutes just to enjoy the delicious food, rich flavors, and the unique taste of everything. Unfortunately, this was not the case yesterday. I do not know why, but the quality, taste, service, and even the prices were not the same. First, I will start with the Ribeye Roulette. Unfortunately, it was rancid and had an unpleasant taste, even though it has always been one of the best dishes we regularly order with the grilled items. Second, the size of the samsa was smaller than before, yet the price remained the same. Third, I do not know why the waitress made a mistake with the grilled order. We informed her, but when it was time to pay, she said she could not remove it because the manager would not allow it. Since she told us she was new at her job, we felt sorry for her and did not want to cause her trouble, so we paid for two skewers that we did not even eat. Fourth, I do not understand why extra charges were added to the bill, such as service and table cleaning fees. These are truly things we should not be required to pay for. Perhaps this is a new way to cover losses due to the rising cost of living and inflation. For these reasons, this will be our last visit to Samarkand Restaurant, after being loyal customers for no less than 8 years.

M
Maria Ryabinski

We were customers of this restaurant for years because it used to be the best place to enjoy authentic food. Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality of the food has declined significantly. The rice in the pilov now has a very strange aftertaste, possibly due to the quality of the oil. The meat no longer has the rich flavor it had before. The chicken hearts were undercooked, and the lamb shish kebab was dry and unpleasant, as if the meat was not fresh. The Turkish liver has become a lottery: sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s overfried and dry. I usually order the same dishes and everything I used to order has lost its quality. The only dish that remains consistently good and tasty is the chalagach. I kept ordering from time to time, hoping these were just temporary quality issues, but unfortunately I have to admit that I don’t want to come back anymore.

M
Mandy

Instead of a rich, hearty borscht, there was a thick layer of oil that had to be skimmed off with a spoon. The meat didn’t taste fresh either. The borscht was not tasty at all. It used to be good before, but this time it was honestly terrible.

N
Nishat Tasnim

Horrible food and service I've ever had in my entire life. From the start the waitress didnt understand and despite other english speaking waiters present, nobody helped us. We asked for a simple well done steak. What we were given was a medium rare steak with blood coming out on the plate. Trying to recoupe the situation, we ordered a chicken kebab and that was also a letdown. The chicken was slimey and extremely undercooked also. It was served with raw onions which we did not ask for and the chicken just got the weird raw onion flavor on it too. Take my advice and do not come here for any occasion and look for a better restaurent. In addition to this experience, there was loud club music that made it extremely unbearable to communicate with my spouse.

М
Максат Омуралиев

The kebab contained too much fat and lacked seasoning. The steak was tough and smaller than expected. The French fries were overly greasy and served without any sauce, and the fruit drink had an unpleasant taste. The prices did not match the quality of the food. This is my honest review.

N
Nakerra Lewis

My friends and I are very disappointed with our experience at Samarkand Steakhouse. The food was overpriced and overrated, and the quality did not match the amount we spent. The only decent item was the bread, it was warm but even that came with butter that was rock hard, so I had to wait several minutes before it was soft enough to spread. I ordered the veal liver, which was misleading. The menu does not state that it’s a kebab, yet it arrived that way. What I thought would be about 8 pieces of meat turned out to be only 5 actual pieces, with the remaining “pieces” being large globs of fat. For the price, this was unacceptable and poorly described on the menu. Service was also lacking. When it was time to leave, we tried calling our server over three times. This was before the restaurant got busy, yet no one came back to us. Overall, the experience did not justify the price, and I wouldn’t return.

B
BERKAN KAYA

I had a reservation for two people yesterday. I made it online, but the restaurant was closed when we arrived. I even called before I went, but no one answered the phone. When I spoke with the manager, she simply apologized and said that was all. You should learn how to handle customer complaints. If a customer tells you they drove there for 40 minutes and drove 40 minutes back home, and they’re still hungry and frustrated, you should make it right. You can’t just use a common sense solution.
