The wait staff are very friendly and helpful. They served us complementary sauteed carrots because we were special, but everyone else also got it, everyone is special. We ordered a couple of specials, a bit pricey, but very nice. My wife liked the Calamari, I am psychologically allergic to them. The room was full, but not noisy. All good.
After watching the show “Family Restaurant” on HBO my husband and I loved the story so much we decided that we had to go check it out. We drove a little over an hour and a half from the Bronx to the restaurant with our kids, and let’s just say we weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious, the environment was inviting, and the service was exceptional. We can’t wait to go back. The icing on the cake was chatting with the owner and our waiter. If you’re on the fence, try it! We’ll be encouraging other to go as well. And of course, don’t forget to try their special pasta dish “the handmade purses” in a Gorgonzola sauce with walnuts!!!
Quality and authentic Italian food with an amazing and attentive staff that treats you like family. We had a delicious large family meal this evening - Roasted Red Peppers & Mozzarella, Eggplant rollatini, Caesar salad, calamari, Fusilli alla Polpa Di Granchio, Rigatoni alla Vodka, Pollo ai Limone, Veal ai Limone, Tiramisu and Cannoli. We are an Italian family and our standards are high - this place ticks all the boxes. If you haven’t tried this restaurant, go, because if you don’t then you’re missing out!
Having dined at a couple of hundred restaurants all over the country, Vecchia Osteria is probably the most customer friendly and attentive staff of all. Our server Diana was fantastic and co-owner Gennaro expressed his sincere appreciation for our patronage. On to the food. Being an avid cook and as previously mentioned, I appreciate good food. The Sacchettini (Pasta purses) filled with a pear and ricotta filling in a Gorgonzola sauce were amazing. The clams casino were a bit small but the flavor was wonderful. My wife is a conasoure on eggplant rollatini and was impressed with the quality and flavors. Her veal parmigiana was very tender and the portion was huge. My seafood fettuccini with a full lobster tail, mussles, clams and shrimp was unbelievable. Both deserts were very good. This place is a gem that we only recently discovered and can't wait to go back. Kudos to the owners for setting the high standards for both their staff and food.
We had the most beautiful shower here for my sister recently, the venue was amazing and the staff was even better ❤️ everyone loved the food and the variety of dishes.
Went to Vecchia Osteria for the birthday celebration of three family members in August. We had a table of 7. Service: 6/5, Stephanie, our waitress was amazing, and the bus lady assistant was great. Short staffed, and they managed us well. Atmosphere: 5/5. Homely vide in small Italian town. Food: 6/5. Appetizers: Eggplant Rollatini - 5/5 fresh and light. Caprese Salad - 5/5. Arugola Sardegna - 5/5. Salad, fresh goat cheese. Long Hots 4.5/5 - got it without meat. Has nice kick. Amazing fresh bread with butter and olive oil. Suprise Carrots. Amazing! Main Meal: All made family style for sharing. Cavatelli con Broccoli 4/5. Great garlic taste. The cavatelli need another 90 seconds to cook. Rigatoni alla Vodka: 5/5. Classic made to perfection. Gnocchi Sorrentino - 5/5. Best Gnocchi that is pillow soft and not heavy. Fusilli alla Polpa Di Granchio: 5/5. Fresh crab meat that you get in every bite. Special order pasta - Spaghetti with fresh seasonal vegetables a Fra Diablo sauce. 5/5. Spaghetti was cooked to perfection, and sauce had a nice spicy bite. Had side order of Rigatoni Pomodoro 5/5. My nephew finished - he loved the sauce, rarity for him. We celebrate birthday by having two house made desserts: Limoncello Cake 6/5. Amazing fresh. Espresso Tiramisu 5/5 - amazing taste. This great family Italian restaurant. You need to experience a large group of friends and family.
The antipasto was absolutely delicious, and the fresh made pockets of dough stuffed with pear and ricotta in a delicate cream sauce, topped with warm walnuts, were unforgettable on Valentine’s Day. And the limoncello cake was simply divine, especially paired with a perfectly made cappuccino. Every bite was pure indulgence. ✨🍷☕️🍰
Was looking for a new place to try in the area, and so glad we found this place. Service by Giovanni was top tier. They’re a family owned place which is always the best. Literally everything we ate here was AMAZING. We ordered apps, dinner, and dessert. Definitely coming back,
This local, family-run Italian restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like family, and that warmth carries through the entire dining experience. The food is authentic, fresh, and clearly made with love—every dish tastes like it came straight from a traditional Italian kitchen. The service is attentive without being rushed, and you can truly feel the pride they take in their restaurant. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right: incredible food, genuine hospitality, and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. This is one of my favorite spots, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
After weeks of newborn snuggles, sleepless nights, and adjusting to our new normal, my husband and I finally had our first night out. My best friend had recommended this spot & we couldn’t have been more happy. From the moment I called to make the reservation to the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a calming, cozy atmosphere that instantly made us feel at ease. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for, which meant the world to two new parents finally catching their breath. The food was absolutely incredible & authentic! The ambience was everything we didn’t know we needed. The soft string lighting outdoor, inviting décor, and just the right amount of buzz to make us feel part of something special without being overwhelmed. It was the perfect mix of elegance and comfort. Our waiter was a twin brother (I won’t butcher the spelling of his name) was phenomenal, he was attentive, personable and very professional! This experience truly refueled us. We left feeling full, grateful, and even more connected. We were able to connect with a family who are regulars here & they shared their delicious orangecello. We’ll always remember this evening as our first step back into the world—and we’re so glad it was here.
On a mini tour with our band, The Scooches we found Vecchia Osteria on our way to performing a concert for Friends Village, Paxson Campus in Newton, PA. Vecchia Osteria is a real gem in Newton! As soon as we walked in, we felt like we were at a restaurant in Italy with their wonderful decor and vibe! Our waiter Toti really added to the atmosphere as he eloquently, went through all the specials of the evening. He served us this wonderful unique carrot appetizer on the house; I really enjoyed the Bronzino and Betina (vocalist/composer for The Scooches) had and a delicious clam seafood dish. We both shared a delicious salad and enjoyed an espresso! Toti is such a professional waiter, sincere, down to earth with warm vibes! Pasquale, the owner and I had a wonderful conversation together about music, Italy and a bit of his restaurant’s history. Observing Pasquale and his staff interact, I got a feeling they work well as a team! A+++ 5/5 stars
My husband and I came here tonight for the first time. We were celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary. Our server, Alex went above and beyond. The restaurant is cozy and cute, the food portion were great, food was delicious. They even offer gluten free options. We definitely recommend this place for some good authentic Italian food. Make sure to ask for Alex. You won't be disappointed. *picture of food was not gluten free
We held our daughters wedding shower here and Vecchia Osteria was no doubt the perfect venue choice! We needed to make some last minute adjustments to our set up and they could not have done a better job accommodating our needs. Our private area was very nice and beautifully decorated. The service was second to none and the food was outstanding!! Well done Vecchia Osteria and a special shout out to number V & number IV for their exemplary hospitality!!! If you're thinking of holding your private event here, do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed!
Growing up in an Italian family from New York who since lost all its traditions Vecchia Osteria put me right back in my childhood. First time there last night and can not say enough about this place. The food was phenomenal! One of my best restaurant experiences!
We used the lemon room for a wedding shower and it was lovely. The staff were so kind and helpful, they actually helped us set up all of our stuff! The food was fabulous from the salad to the different pastas and finally the most tender and delicious chicken parm I have ever had, their sauce/gravy was to die for!! Then there was desert… Two different tiramisus were served, amaretto and espresso, they were both so delicious I couldn’t say which one I liked best! I will definitely be booking my next occasion with “hopefully a baby shower” these folks! They are definitely the very best!
We had a get together here following a funeral and Vecchia Osteria was the perfect place for it. The owner had the side room near the outdoor patio set up beautifully to accommodate our large group. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the service was consistently attentive. Staff came out frequently to refill drinks, bring new courses, and check on us throughout the meal. We started with fresh Caesar salads, warm bread, and bottles of wine. The oil and seasonings on the table made for a perfect dipping mix. From there, the food just kept coming. Eggplant rollatini was served in delicate spirals, the crab-stuffed pasta was rich and flavorful, and the rotini in vodka sauce was absolutely amazing. I couldn't get enough of it and ended up forgetting to grab a picture. We finished with coffee and a unique almond tiramisu that had a really nice nutty flavor. Every part of the meal was fresh, delicious, and made with care. Vecchia Osteria made a hard day feel comforting. Thank you to the staff and owner for a truly wonderful meal and experience.
Little too crowded for me. But food worth it!! Fresh authentic and delicious. Plates well served plenty of food. Great place for especial occasions. Excellent service!! Highly recommended. (Leave space for desserts )
My birthday dinner at Vecchia Osteria wasn't just a meal; it was a pilgrimage to authenticity that left me questioning every Italian restaurant I'd ever called "good." Mom and Charlie treated me to an evening that transported us straight to southern Italy without the jet lag. Upon being led to your table, you're enveloped by sunlight streaming through latticed windows onto lemon-adorned tablecloths, creating the kind of atmosphere that makes you forget you're in Newtown – this is the cliff-side café of your Mediterranean dreams, complete with weathered blue doors that whisper stories of Napoli. Perhaps it was my grandmother's Neapolitan roots calling to me, or memories of my own visits to Naples flooding back, but everything about this place felt like coming home. The Pasquale family has recreated not just the flavors of their homeland, but its very soul. The culinary journey began with revelations: paper-thin carrot ribbons that had been coaxed into silk through patient marination, draped over crusty bread and kissed with olive oil. Then came grilled calamari that achieved the impossible – tender perfection – nestled atop arugula so bright with lemon it practically sang. These weren't appetizers; they were love letters to the sea. My entrée redefined what a salad could be: warm goat cheese crowned with a drizzle of honey, dancing with fresh onion and fennel in a composition that was both rustic and refined. But here's what sets Vecchia Osteria apart: when Mom wanted something simple – just ravioli with butter – they didn't blink. No eye rolls, no "that's not on the menu." Just pure hospitality that speaks to the Pasquale family's Napolitano heart. Our waiter Liam exemplified this spirit perfectly, remembering Mom and Charlie from their previous visit and making them feel like treasured friends returning home. Every staff member we encountered shared this genuine warmth – they may have been managing numerous tables, but when they were with us, we received their complete, unhurried attention. This is what happens when a restaurant operates as an extension of someone's home. The amaretto tiramisu paired with cappuccino was the crescendo this evening deserved – layers of coffee-soaked poetry that made every birthday cake I'd ever had seem like a rough draft. The Pasquale family has created something rare: a restaurant where technique serves soul, where "The Soul of Naples" isn't just a tagline but a lived truth. Their motto "Vedi Napoli e poi muori" – "See Naples, and then you can die" – speaks to the transformative power of experiencing something truly authentic. They've brought their heritage across an ocean and somehow made it feel like you've discovered a secret that's been hiding in plain sight. This is dining as it should be – honest, generous, transformative. Vecchia Osteria doesn't just feed you; it reminds you why food matters.
Had a family birthday here today and it was outstanding! First off, the service was absolutely incredible! Made reservation ahead, and the staff were ready for us when we arrived. The food was hot and all of our entrees were extremely delicious! The bread before the meal was also hot! Desserts were top-notch. Decor was authentic Italian with a cute "lemon theme" throughout. Photos of celebrities who have eaten there can be found on the wall. Check this hidden gem out! Fyi: its BYOB.
Seriously, the BEST Italian meal around! The family that owns the restaurant is so welcoming and the staff is beyond accommodating! It’s a busy busy restaurant for a reason. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I always get the grilled salmon and get capellini pasta with Alfredo sauce. Sooo good! Not to mention, my toddler that is a super picky eater CLEANS her plate every time!
Loved our experience tonight at my cousins rehearsal dinner. The staff were all so polite and professional. The food was incredible and they kept bringing more. It was such a lovely evening. I would recommend double the salad with big starving parties! It’s cheap and will go a long way. Overall 10/10 tho and absolutely loved it.
We went here on a whim because we are from out of town, so glad we stopped in. The food was delicious, and the family was delightful. This was very authentic Italian. It really felt like we were back in Italy! We hope to make the hour and a half drive again sometime. Well worth it.
Amazing!! Authentic!! My husband and I went for our anniversary and fell in with this place. The atmosphere of the restaurant has that small Italian town feeling. The food was so delicious and homemade. I already told my husband that we are going back for mother's day, my birthday and our anniversaries.
Absolutely amazing place. The food. The atmosphere. The staff. Never disappoints. Family atmosphere is always inviting to all. We’ve been enjoying their food for more than 2 decades. Can’t recommend enough!!!
I have known Pasquale and family since Pasta Al Dente. The Palino family is always present, greeting guests with warm smiles, checking in to make sure everyone is happy, and creating an atmosphere that feels personal and sincere. You’re not just another table here — you’re treated like part of the family. The service is outstanding: attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and full of heart. You can tell they truly care about their guests and the experience they provide. And the food — absolutely incredible. Every dish tastes like it’s been passed down through generations, made with authentic recipes, fresh ingredients, and real passion.
We celebrated our brother’s 50th birthday last night. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and we had such a great time. The restaurant was extremely busy for a Thursday night and they didn’t blink an eye with our large party. We ordered appetizers ahead of time and everyone was able to order what they wanted on the menu. The best part was they had gluten free ravioli and it was very much enjoyed for the first time in many years by a guest with a gluten allergy. The limoncello cake 🍰 is a must try!! Thank you and we will “all” be back!!
Have been to Vecchia many times and it never disappoints. The food is fantastic and the staff are great! The owner is personable, friendly, and really shows that he cares about his customers. When the parking lot was filled last night the owner saw me looking for a space, came out of the restaurant and moved his vehicle to allow me to park. No one’s ever done that before. The Sacchetti is a must have and it’s what my fiancé and I look forward to every visit.
who seemed to be the owner was very kind. our server was fantastic and we didn’t have too much waiting time despite it being a busy day. the service was spectacular from the entire staff, lovely place and amazing menu.
I have been here twice and both times have been great! The food is amazing. We all had different dishes and each one was better than the last. I really liked the Fusilli alla polpa di Granchio and highly recommend it to anyone who is having trouble deciding between all these great options. Our servers were Hannah and Alex who were both wonderful, attentive and friendly. The deserts are fantastic and a great way to end the meal! I’m excited to come back again and can’t wait to spread the word about my new favorite Italian restaurant!
Vecchia Osteria by Pasquale is an amazing local byob in Newtown Pa and is family owned. Pasquale along with his wife and their children work tirelessly to provide authentic Italian dishes in a casual and pleasant restaurant. I have never been disappointed in the food or service! Holidays are always a specific menu but the kitchen can and will accommodate your needs for allergies and preferences if it’s within their means every time. Additionally, Pasquale is one of the most generous restaurant owners I have ever encountered. When you go to Vecchia’s you are family! And you’re cared for like family! I truly cannot recommend Vecchias enough! If you have not done so yet, do so soon! And if you have stopped by before, go back again!
I cannot speak highly enough about Vecchia Osteria! They graciously hosted my brother's 50th birthday dinner with a small gathering of family, and it was wonderful from start to finish. Giovanni was so incredibly kind, attentive, and patient. The food was the best Italian food I've ever eaten (and that's saying a lot, coming from an Italian-American family; sorry, Nonna!). Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and plated beautifully. The restaurant itself is breathtaking; we were so impressed by the ambiance. There is so much to look at, but it gives you such a comfortable, at home feeling, while at the same time being so clean and tidy. We will absolutely be back! Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!
We absolutely LOVE this restaurant for so many reasons!! The food is always delicious, the family that owns and runs the restaurant is amazing and so accommodating (shout out to our guy, Gio). We have been there on a Saturday night with young kids and have hosted parties there for special events and it always exceeds our expectations. The cherry on top is getting a chance to chat with the owners as they make us feel like family every time we walk through the door. Give this Newtown staple a try, you won’t be disappointed!!
We recently dined at Vecchia Osteria by Pasquale for a Christmas Eve dinner and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! What truly stood out was the quality and freshness of the food, paired with excellent portion sizes and great attention to detail — every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel right at home. Our server Hannah absolutely crushed it with her service — super sweet, quick, and made the whole experience feel special. If you go, ask for her!!!
This place is a hidden gem and a must try if you’re in Newtown. You can feel that this place is truly family-owned the second you walk in. It’s warm, welcoming, and full of heart. The food was unreal… everything tasted fresh, homemade, and straight-up authentic Italian. You can tell a lot of love goes into every dish. The service was just as amazing. Everyone is so friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind without feeling rushed or over the top. They make you feel like you’re eating at someone’s home, not just a restaurant. Easily one of the best Italian meals I’ve had. If you’re looking for real Italian food and great vibes, this place is a must. Me and my family will 100% be back.
Vecchia Osteria by Pasquale is our family’s favorite Italian restaurant! 100%! We drive three hours because it is the best family and food you are looking for authentic Italian! There are always delicious appetizers, pastas, seafood, Italian meats and desserts. Their attention to detail is associated with delivering amazing authentic Italian food to Newtown PA,. This restaurant is truly something special, This restaurant is family owned and everyone pours love into everything they do. Enjoy! 🙏🇮🇹❤️
My husband and I absolutely love it here. The service, the food, and the people have always been top notch to us. We always leave there feeling satisfied and ready for our next visit. The lemon-chello cake is my favorite thing on the menu. Definitely visit this spot if you’re in the area.
Our server Giovanni was amazing, very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was incredible, great portion sizes for a great price. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be back
Vecchia Osteria is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with that warm, authentic Italian hospitality that instantly makes you feel like family. The food is outstanding: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish tastes like it came straight from a kitchen in Italy. I especially loved the homemade pasta and the perfectly cooked seafood. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, yet still casual enough for a relaxed dinner with a friend. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always happy to make great wine or dessert recommendations. If you’re looking for a true Italian dining experience in the area, this is the place. Highly recommend!
I was there with a large group and had a wonderful time. Every dish was delicious. Service was great. Definitely enjoyed the meal and experience. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola was my favorite don't miss it.
Having dined at Vecchia for years and always having amazing meals, we chose to have a brunch to celebrate our wedding with our immediate family (about 20 people) in December ahead of the Christmas holiday. During this busy season, Pasquale and Ana openly welcomed us to celebrate at their restaurant. Incredibly accommodating, they let us reserve a private room on relatively short notice. If you have been here, you already know how the family exudes warmth and makes you feel at home as....added value to the dining experience!! Their daughter was our main server making sure we were satisfied throughout the course of our brunch. Her team provided an unparalleled level of service. All of the appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts were outstanding. Whether it was grilled calamari, chicken parm, or salmon a la griglia; each dish was absolutely a joy to eat. We had a memorable experience celebrating our wedding with family, great food and the most hospitable restauranters you could know. The family atmosphere and great food having had us coming back over and over for 20+ years. Pasquale/Ana/Family: thanks for a wonderous experience!!!
For the last couple years, my girlfriend and I have made Vecchia our go to for Valentines and our anniversary. Today we went as a “late” Valentines celebration, and had our reservation for 6:00p. It did take us around 30 minutes of waiting, and people who got in 10-20 minutes after us got seated before. Ashley (I think that was the hostess name), was extremely well composed handling visibly upset customers for the “wait”. We eventually got seated, and service/food was amazing. Giovanni was our waiter, and we have had him a couple times before never had a single issue. Gonna keep coming back for years to come, thank you for the great service every time we come to dine.
So many family memories and so many great meals. Milestone birthdays, engagement parties, food to go on a wintry night-- Vecchia has been the clear choice. Nothing like reliable, delicious food time after time. I've never had a dish I didn't like from here. The pasta dishes are the standout of course. Most recently, I've been enjoying their creamy pasta with salmon or crab. Food is so good that I haven't wanted to try any other restaurants in town.
This family-owned restaurant is incredibly welcoming and truly caring. My family and I dine here often because of the consistently delicious food, attentive service, and warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff always goes above and beyond—especially for our young children—by thoughtfully preparing off-menu items like homemade chicken fingers, which my kids absolutely love, especially when paired with the house-made marinara. Every visit is a great experience. I rarely even look at the menu anymore and instead trust the server or owner’s recommendations, and I’m never disappointed. The Branzino is a standout favorite of mine, and all of the pasta dishes are exceptional as well. I highly recommend Vecchia to anyone looking for outstanding Italian food served with genuine hospitality in a comfortable, welcoming setting.
Typical Italian osteria. Cozy interior and warm, friendly service. The homemade pastas and gnocchi are a must-try! We tried six different dishes—three appetizers, two entrées, and one dessert (the cannoli was to die for!). While most of the food was delicious, I think the clams and the eggplant Parmesan could use some improvement. Overall, a lovely dining experience with a charming atmosphere. Would definitely come back!
A ridiculously popular BYOB. Finding a parking spot can be an epic challenge. A good sized crowd of people were waiting to be seated when we left before 8 PM on a snowy Friday evening. Seating is tight and dining room noisy, but that’s part of the fun. Wait staff are very friendly and efficient. Eggplant Rollatini over arugula appetizer was very good. Grilled Calamari over arugula was mostly tasty, but some pieces were slightly bitter, maybe because of the charred bits. It was not at all too chewy. We also had a stuffed red pepper appetizer special that was also very good, though there were a lot of barely cooked slices of garlic. Fusilli alla Polpa Di Granchio – “Fusilli pasta with jumbo lump crabmeat, onions, cherry tomatoes, & a touch of hot pepper in a light pink cream sauce.” This was not light at all, except in color. It was overly rich and cheesy for a seafood dish, in my opinion. It did have an enjoyable flavor, and the crabmeat chunks were large and tasty. We also enjoyed the spaghetti and clams in red sauce. My dining partner did mention that there were many empty shells and some broken shells as well. The thin spaghetti pasta was cooked appropriately al dente. I avoided the many large slices of seemingly raw garlic. The sauce was light and very flavorful. Gnocchi Di Mare – “Shrimp, clams and grape tomatoes in a white wine sauce.” This was pretty good, though it did have a very strong taste of garlic, like the spaghetti and clams dish. The shrimp may not have been the best quality, or maybe just slightly undercooked. They just did not have the firmness and sweetness that I associate with really good fresh shrimp. Tails and last shell segment were left on the shrimp, so of course you’re going to get your fingers sticky if you want to get all the meat out. Clams in this dish were good; no broken or empty shells. dessert was a house-made Ameretto tiramisu. It was delicious. Better than your typical tiramisu.
As a transplanted New Yorker, I'm always chasing the elusive great Italian spot outside the Philly city limits. With a 4.7-star average, Vecchia Osteria by Pasquale had me hopeful—could this be the holy grail? Sadly, no. The pros: The outdoor patio was lovely on a pleasant evening, and the ambiance—though bustling—had charm. The service was extremely slow, which might be a plus for a leisurely Saturday dinner date, but with a kid in tow, it definitely tested our patience. On the bright side, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The eggplant parm? Very good. And I appreciated how accommodating they were with my son’s off-menu request for buttered spaghetti and shrimp—big points for that. The cons: To start, the bread was served cold—and with no oil or pepper. Really? Isn’t that Italian 101? The caprese salad was underwhelming. As you can see from the photo, it featured a lonely basil leaf and tomatoes that lacked punch—no vibrant, juicy flavor you'd hope for. The Pollo Donatella was a letdown: rubbery chicken and a white wine sauce that added little to no flavor. For a dish that reads so rich on the menu, it just fell flat. Overall, a mixed bag. Some highlights, but not enough to justify the hype—especially if you’re venturing out with high hopes. won't be worth a second try, but I left disappointed.
Vecchia Osteria is what looks to be the neighborhood BYOB. Their paper reservation book is large and full, and staff hugs show that there are many regulars. This is not a fancy place, but offers large portions and an extensive menu. The sautéed garlic carrots starter they bring is a nice touch (and delicious). We ordered the grilled calamari which were large pieces over dressed arugula. The arugula was dressed minimally and the calamari was over cooked and chewy. For mains, we got the pappardelle bolognese (homemade pasta with an average sauce), chicken francese, and veal funghi (3-sizable pieces covered in mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes). All dishes were good— not great, not bad. We ended the meal with the limoncello cake. It was good, despite it not being recommended by the waiter (that was an awkward exchange). It was a decent meal at a BYOB, but nothing to write home about.
Carpaccio was still frozen Waiting disappeared for a little while Chicken was chewy on the verge of being dried out, mushrooms seemed like they were from a can Marsala wine sauce very delicious!!!! Pasta special was a little expensive for only having 2 shrimp in it.
Our food was sub par at best. I’m not sure what others like about this tent dining experience. My pasta was ok but my wife’s vodka sauce was “broken “. This is unacceptable and we’ll never return to this restaurant again. Shame on them for serving this vodka sauce.
Was at this restaurant last evening (2/7/26) for an engagement party. We were seated in the back area which was a tent added to the restaurant. Even though there were some heaters, the cold air was blowing in the tent. I realize it was very frigid that night, but more heat should have been provided. The food was rushed coming out and we were barely done with our coffee and dessert and the owner was chasing us out. He said he had a long line waiting in the cold to get in the restaurant. Not our problem, we had this room pre-booked. On top of all of this, the room was so crowded we were on top of each other eating. I think the fire inspector should go there on a Saturday night and check out the occupancy. Owner was very rude! As we were leaving he was begging us not hold this against him. I and many other people at this party will never step foot in this restaurant again!
