My boyfriend and I went to the Hawke as a last minute reservation for New Year’s Eve/ Anniversary. We had an amazing time with wonderful service. The host was welcoming and accommodated us with a more private table. Our waitress, Donna, was very friendly! She took our picture for us and surprised us with a sparkler, with our dessert, to help celebrate our anniversary. Our meal was delicious. We had oysters to start and the bacon wrapped filet special for entree. We have been here in the past and will most definitely continue to come back. The staff took care of us very well and the food never disappoints!
Randomly found this place googling and wow what an amazing find! Food was absolutely amazing and such a great welcoming vibe. Donna is a 10/10 server! Will be back for sure :)
We had a delightful birthday celebration dinner with our daughter. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. We ordered Ravioli, Chilean sea bass, and Scottish Salmon. We also ordered sides of red wine mushrooms, crispy brussel sprouts, stuffed mushrooms and oysters on the half shell. Wow! What a gem this place is. Our server, Donna, was very attentive and offered suggestions. We ended the meal with a slice of carrot cake and Donna surprised her with a sparkler! We chose the perfect place that exceeded our expectations in every way!
Went with my daughters for lunch on Mother’s Day and couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. Our server Christian was very attentive and friendly. Food was excellent, drinks were potent! A little pricey, but I feel it was worth it. Definitely recommend.
This was our first dinner at The Hawk, but it won't be our last. Great food, great service, and although very noisy on a Saturday night, we love the place. I began with a "perfect" Vodka Martini (see photo) followed by some delicious Stuffed Mushrooms (photo) and an entree of Chilean Sea Bass with Rissoto and a side of Mushrooms in Wine sauce (photo). Our server, Donna, was calm and cheerful despite the noise and all our requests for changes.
Had a great late lunch/early dinner on a Friday at around 3:30. It wasn’t busy yet. The service and food were very good. Scallops were huge but delicious and perfectly cooked. We shared them, some truffle fries that were also good, not oily, actually truffle flavored. Nice job.
Cute place for both date nights and family gathering. Solid drinks and foods, friendly staff, pretty ambiance with valet parking out front. We got a table outside since we had our newborn with us. Appetizers could use some improvement. Brussels was fried too much and a little burnt. Portion was small. Tasty calamari although the Thai chili sauce was a little lazy straight out of the jar with nothing to jazz it up. wish they could have added some personal touch from the chef like squeeze of lemon, sour plum sauce or something. I’d order the calamari again but expect more from a very nice restaurant in the sauce. We throughly enjoyed our mains (Chilean seabass, steak, and the special of the day monk fish). Protein cooked to perfection and delicious side dishes too.
Had a fabulous time at the Hawke for dinner, this was our last big meal together in 2023, so we wanted to do something special. The valet was complimentary and took great care of our car. We were sat within a few minutes of our reservation and our server was delightful. The food was delicious. We had the Chicken Parm Pizza, and sticky wings to start. I would 1000% recommend the chicken parm Pizza, it was incredible. The wings were fair, compared to the rest of the menu, (I would go somewhere else for wings, personally). My husband had the burger for his main dish and I had the Ahi tacos, which were awesome. For dessert, we had the house-made, mint Oreo ice cream cake, and it was the best thing ever. I wonder if you can buy the ice cream cake as a whole for birthdays? Anyway, the meal was not too expensive compared to what we were expecting to pay. I think for the quality and quantity of food, the price was perfect. It would have been a lot more had we ordered steak, but we were not in the mood. But the lobster tail special they were offering that night sounded amazing. I would recommend this restaurant and will be going back! Edit: We have been back a few times since my 1st review. They have had specialty days where they offered all-you-can-enjoy crab legs. They are amazing and we can't wait until it's offered again in the future! Service was wonderful as usual on these occasions and it makes us want to come back over and over again. Great experience all around!
Everyone there was so nice. Excellent customer service. The food was fabulous. I got the wedge salad and added shrimp. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. My friend got butternut squash soup with crab and she loved it. We sat outside on the patio, which was perfect. The inside was somewhat loud.
We had the most pleasant experience tonight. We arrived almost an hour early for our reservations and were graciously accommodated with seats. This was our anniversary and we were offered champagne as soon as we were seated. We ordered the all you can eat crabs which did not disappoint. The cherry on the cake was our waitress, Donna, who was attentive, considerate, and made sure everything was to our liking. We will definitely be back and requesting Donna for sure. Worth every dollar and every star.
Nice cozy restaurant, friendly staff. Mediterranean cocktail was excellent and loved that they asked what brand of vodka I wanted. Brussels and calamari apps were delicious. Truffle fries were tasty but would be better if they were thicker, not a fan of the shoestring fries. Pappardelli with crab and lobster was amazing!
My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose The Hawke for Lambertville, our 105th town. Located on the "west Jersey Shore" on the banks of the Delaware, Lambertville is often overlooked by its touristy neighbor, New Hope, Pa, across the river. But you shouldn't miss out on the great dining choices in Lambertville, especially The Hawke! We had a late lunch with friends on The Hawke's outdoor garden patio on a beautiful summer afternoon. Service was average for an outdoor patio, but the food was top notch. It started with our well-crafted cocktails, including the beautiful, purple-hewed drink named after the restaurant itself, "The Hawke", & a bright red hibiscus & blueberry concoction. Next came the starters: Eggplant Burrata with Roasted Peppers, Coconut crusted lobster tails, and Ahi Tuna Wontons. All were delicious and well plated. We thought about getting a second round of the eggplant burrata, but this was supposed to be just a "light lunch" and the main dishes were next. The Filet Mignon sandwich was perfect on fresh semolina bread, and the Lobster Roll on a toasted brioche bun was refreshing delight. If you're headed to Lambertville, we highly recommend The Hawke. If you time it right, be sure to stop by the Goat Hill lookout (just up the street from The Hawke) for a perfect sunset over the Delaware River.
Excellent atmosphere and service! My husband and I had the filet, truffle onion rings, brussel sprouts and salad. Yum! If you like dirty martini’s you must try The Dirt. Blue cheese stuffed olives are a meal in and of themselves. Donna was our server and she is amazing!
My husband and I were told to try Hawk restaurant and I’m so glad we did! Lobster bisque was delicious along with the lobster blt. Service was wonderful. Very friendly and if you decide to try it - definitely do. Ask for Donna she was so sweet and very attentive. Thank Donna for your service and telling us about Doylestown.
The Hawke – A Post-Ride Gem for Cyclists and Food Lovers! We stopped at The Hawke after a long bike ride in the area, and wow, it easily became one of my new favorite spots. Hands down, the best steakhouse around! The burgers and steaks were cooked perfectly, juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you want after logging some miles. But the real surprise? The mahi mahi tacos, honestly, the best I’ve had in a long time. Fresh, well-seasoned, and just the right balance of flavors. What really makes The Hawke a winner for cyclists (and anyone exploring the area) is the convenient parking with valet service, a rare and much-appreciated touch when you’ve been out riding all day. If you’re out on the trails or roads nearby and want a great place to refuel, The Hawke is absolutely worth the stop. Great food, great atmosphere, and a well-deserved reward after a ride!
I tried this place for the first time and was really impressed. The food was tasty and well cooked, and the portion sizes were just right. The staff was helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. I also liked that the place was clean and the music wasn’t too loud, so it was easy to talk. Overall it felt like a place that’s run by people who actually care about the customer experience.
Always amazing food and service! Donna is the absolute best host! She is so caring and incredible. She also offered to take a million pictures of all our friends! Thank you so much! We will definitely be returning!
We had to wait a minute or two to be greeted at the door but the hostess was very friendly when she arrived. Our server, Thai, couldn't have been better, attentive but not intrusive. The food was okay, the music through the speakers was very loud and distracting. We ate inside but the patio area looked quite nice.
Very nice atmosphere and vibe. All you can eat dungeness crab legs on Mondays. Restaurant got really busy around 6pm but still a nice vibe. Food was really good. Lamb chops were smaller then normal but overall, food was good. Waiter was great. It was my birthday and they gave me a free drink. I will definitely be returning for all you can eat crabs.
Food was okay. Filet mignon sandwich was pretty bland. The sausage stuffed mushrooms were drowning in butter. My girlfriend got the lobster bisque - that was good. Maybe I should've tried some different menu items, but the ones we did get weren't blowing me away. I see the vision of the menu, but I don't think I'd find myself returning.
