Oltre ad avere visitato il museo e in parte la storia di Bergamo Alta, ho trovato un pub che da il giusto gusto Bergamasco ma anche molto Irish. Personalmente ho preso il Bergamo's Burger, cottura ottima della carne, con tanto di funghi e salsa di essi con tanto di contorno di patatine fritte. La mia ragazza ha preso delle costine ribs e con un contorno di patatine fritte. Cibo molto squisito. L'atmosfera del locale ci stava, personale sempre in aiuto e cordiale. Consigliatissimo! Prezzo per tutto: 45€

Se vi piace la buona birra (non solo irlandese) questo locale non può mancare fra i consigliati. Locale veramente carino, con l'atmosfera unica che solo un pub di qualità può dare. Personale simpatico, preparato e professionale. Ambiente pulito ed ordinato. Il servizio, anche in una giornata festiva con veramente molta gente è stato impeccabile. Il cibo servito è di ottima qualità, notevoli i sandwich, ma il re del menu, per quanto mi riguarda è senz'altro l'irish stew, che non sfigurerebbe servito in un ristorante. Speciale anche la location, nella magnifica città appena scesi dalla funicolare.
Irish stew e BBQ ribs spettacolari! Servizio rapido e cortese, ottimi anche i dolci. Locale arredato in stile, ogni dettaglio è curato. Prezzi modici, proprio di fronte alla funicolare.
Vero pub in stile anglosassone con diverse birre spillate come Dio comanda, soprattutto la Guinness era eccezionale, morbida e spumosa un particolare che non si riscontra nelle bottigliette che importiamo in Italia e in Europa continentale. Serata poi allietata da una degustazione di ostriche che contemplava addirittura la qualità Belon, un' ostrica particolare e molto prelibata, poi le Gillardeau hanno fatto il resto. Tutto ottimo a prezzi contenuti, grazie a Silvia grande padrona di casa.
Trovate un angolo d'Irlanda nel Cuore di Bergamo Alta ottime birre irlandesi e ho provato il Tucan's burger davvero buono. Tornerò per assaggiare qualcos'altro ne vale la pena.Personale gentile ed efficiente e un cuoco veramente bravo.
Tipico pub in stile Irlandese molto accogliente e caloroso, ampia scelta di birre irlandesi e non,sia alla spina che in bottiglia. Molta varietà di cocktail e di stuzzichini e per non farsi mancare nulla anche di primi piatti,antipasti,insalate,panini e dolci. Titolare davvero in gamba nella spiegazione delle varie tipologie di birre e davvero accogliente e solare. Scoperta e consigliatissima la Kilkenny, una birra creamy, leggera, non pesante e soprattutto molto gustosa. Ci ritornerò parecchie volte perché mi ha stupito l'organizzazione e la qualità dei prodotti rispetto ad altri pub nella bergamasca.💪🏻

Pub molto spazioso e con un piano interrato questo locale offre le birre più conosciute ma non so se servono anche quelle artigianali. Il locale ha una sua atmosfera ideale per le coppie gli amici e gli asociali al banco.

Ambiente molto carino, con possibilità di mangiare all'esterno. Il menù è abbastanza variegato: panini, hamburger, piadine e quant'altro. Ampia scelta di birre sia alla spina che in bottiglia. Posizione davvero comoda specialmente per chi sale a Bergamo alta con la funicolare, a pochi passi dal locale.
Ambiente davvero particolare. E che dire del cibo! L'hamburger è gusto e abbastanza grande per chi ha particolarmente fame come me 😆 Anche la birra è ottima e puoi scegliere tra una bella selezione di birre. Ottimo posto per una cena casual a Città Alta
Locale sempre pulitissimo e accogliente. Cucina di qualità, non precotta da pub standard. Eccellente ovviamente la scelta di birre e drink. Personale professionale, gentile e paziente. Per curiosità mi son messa a leggere le recensioni e posso assicurare che quelle negative sono per lo più false e ingiustificabili. Una dice “aria condizionata alta”… ahahah è un palazzo storico e non c’è!!! Quindi andate e divertitevi!!!
Bellissimo Pub stile Irish nel cuore di Bergamo Alta. Vasta selezione di birra e cocktails serviti da uno staff molto accogliente e preparato. Anche la cucina è assolutamente da provare! Consigliatissimo

An authentic Irish pub, right in the heart of Bergamo's old town. The drinks are cold, the selection of beer and alcoholic drinks is very huge , and the owners are incredibly genuine and friendly. The prices are more than reasonable.
Stumbling along in citta alta, me and my sister were about to head back but found this Irish gem. Home away from home should we say, we always make sure we go to one Irish bar when visiting a new place. This spot was perfect!!! As we first walked in we loved the ambiance and giggled at how amazed we were with the Irish memorabilia, definitely felt like a pub from back home. We didn’t get any food but we opted for drinks of course and we aren’t big Guinness gals but we will never say no to a baby Guinness. You can find them everywhere though but one thing you won’t find in every Irish pub is “GREGS baby Guinness”, it was much lighter and didn’t give as much of w chocolate milk taste which we can’t deny the original but Greg’s take on it is a must have!!! Definitely wish we could take him home, his hospitality was top tier and can’t find much service skills or chat like that back home. Also just think that Ireland should give it a try. Wish we could go there all the time but sadly had to cut it short, we didn’t leave without testing his photography skills and are very grateful to have stumbled across such a gem in such a beautiful place.

Been to a lot of bars/restaurants in Bergamo but never felt as welcomed as The Tucan! Gregorio was an absolute gentleman. Made any cocktail we asked for on the menu or not. 10/10 would definitely come back just for the bar itself!

Loved this place! Good vibes even when I went at 1 am. The bartender spoke amazing English and was super nice and sweet to me. Their food is AMAZING. Loved their veggie sandwich (without mozzarella for the vegans) and their fries are amazing! Got a drink too and spend 13 euros.
To be honest I didn't want to go there as my frirnds have asked me to buy some pizza and bring them to hotel. It was quite late and somebody diverted me there. I have ordered some paninies. Waiting for there some drink. Sandwiches were unexpectedly tasty and my friends very happy.

Locale molto carino adiacente a Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe di Bergamo Alta. La ragazza è molto gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo mangiato comodamente all'interno, il locale non era affollato. I tavolini all'esterno erano tutti occupati. C'è una buona varietà di piatti e birre a prezzi adeguati. Abbiamo assaggiato i tipici canederli: buonissimi! Tutte le scelte del menù sono state graditissime. Lo consiglio. Norme anticovid rispettate.
Nonostante abbia letto qualche recensione negativa non me la sono sentita di dare meno di 4 stelle! E' vero che non ho mai mangiato in questo posto, ma per tutto il resto sono davvero il top! Locale molto bello, sembra di essere in Irlanda, birra favolosa e personale gentile e disponibile, atteno alle richieste e pronto a dare consigli mirati sulla birra che più rispecchia i propri gusti. Ogni volta che vado a Bergamo alta è una tappa fissa!
Difficult to know how to rate this place. Needed somewhere to stop off for refreshments after walking up to the old town. This place was conveniently situated but was dead, literally nobody else came in the whole time we were there. They do have an excellent selection of beers, I had a pint of la chouffe and everybody else enjoyed their soft drinks. The bowls of chips also went down a treat. Maybe locals just don't like going to Irish bars at lunch time.
Watched the Champions League final here, and it’s a good spot. I only drink Guinness in Ireland, but thankfully they had Magners. The staff are great, and while I only had some chicken fingers, the rest of the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good.
Good food, fast service. They serve food from 11h to 02h (in the night, yes), so that's great if you're craving something in the middle of the afternoon ! The piadines are great, they also have some "typical irish food" and some burger that aren't dry like everywhere else in Italy. The insides are like a pub, with italian music and it's a bit dark. I recommand the fish burger :)

Il locale è caratteristico, ma attenzione al caldo! Il pub si trova in un'ottima posizione, quasi di fronte alla stazione della funicolare. Premetto che ci sono stato solo durante un evento, quindi non ho potuto provare il servizio standard. L'unica informazione importante che mi sento di condividere è che, se ci andate in estate, potreste davvero soffrire il caldo: il locale non è climatizzato ed è poco ventilato. Immagino ci siano delle limitazioni legate alla struttura storica, che non permettono l'installazione di condizionatori o impianti simili. Tuttavia, se questa recensione dovesse arrivare ai gestori, consiglio almeno di installare dei ventilatori a soffitto. Comunque, durante il periodo invernale sembra essere un posto accogliente! Il personale si è comportato bene, nonostante fosse messo a dura prova dalla folla presente in quell’occasione.
My friend and I visited on New Years Eve for some food and drinks before going out for the night. We wanted a simple, enjoyable meal and were hoping for a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. unfortunately, while the food was delicious, the service was blunt and the two servers we had both share a shitty attitude. Not to mention, the pub’s menu was something out of this world. There was an extremely restricted menu and no salad or vegetable of any form! I don’t see the point in serving greasy food accompanied by more greasy food! Anyway, the fries were good although very pricey, just like the drinks.

The worst place I’ve been in Italy. If you like a good service and nice waiters, this is NOT THE PLACE for you They are rude and they don’t care about the service or their guests. And we were going to their bathroom, they say we can not use it, because we weren’t customers (after paying). They didn’t even remember us. If I could give ‘0’ I Would.
I normally avoid Irish pubs in foreign locations as they tend to be awful. However, on this ocassion after 3 weeks of travelling I just fancied a little taste of home. We ordered 2 pints of Kilkenny, the Tuscan Burger and the Irish Stew. The burger was completely raw. When I mentioned it to the staff, they asked If I wanted it well done. It's not a fillet steak! It's mince. It needs to be cooked through. It was completely pink and raw. Totally inedible. The stew was also terrible. Nothing like an Irish stew and full of salt. Again it was inedible. The food was that bad, we left our (mostly full) pints of beer and walked away. I definitely do NOT recommend this place. It's truly awful.
