Somewhat unique food selection. Great beer choices. My only issue is that it's a little small so it can be tough to find a seat if there is a crowd.

Simply Awesome! I came here Saturday night with a group of 7 because we had heard great things about it, and boy did they not disappoint. From the amazing "quality" craft beer selection, to the great drink list. Add to that as busy as they were and to actually get bartenders who actively looked to give service, truly a great place that I can't wait to go back to. They nailed it! P.S. Get the shrimp sliders, high grade shrimp, and delicious!!!

Good beer selection but you should really be showing up for the chicken tenders. The Nashville tenders are spicy! The regular tenders are juicy! Overall a great spot to stop after work.

Had a great time here with friends! Ordered a couple cocktails which were all delicious, and they had a ton of very cool beers on tap. We also got the tater tots and fries, both of which were delicious. Would definitely recommend checking this bar out if you're on the UES.

Love this bar! Great beer, cocktails and food. Always have something on tap that isn't anywhere else! Absolutely can't miss brunch on the weekends- always ask for extra green sauce on the breakfast tacos, and spicy ranch on homemade tater tots. Wish they would communicate what the happy hour special is though.

After a bitter experience at somewhere else, we followed the Best Fries in NY list on internet and ended up at Bondurants. Oh my! We were so glad that karma brought us here 😂 beers, fries (BEST FRIES!), house sauces, burger, etc. Everything was incredibly delicious! The waitress was so friendly and attentive too. It was just a very pleasant experience and definitely coming back to Bondurants with more friends.

Good service, very kind guy who attended my table. I only had a small draft beer (an American stout, quite nice) and a VERY LARGE bowl of hand-cut fries. $22 including 20% tip. Standard Manhattan price, I guess.

Bondurants is almost everything you want in a bar. The food is a cut above normal bar food, but still bar food; the beers are great and a good selection; it’s almost always medium crowded but not packed. Getting a table will take you a few minutes at most if one isn’t available. It’s everything you want and nothing extra that you don’t need. 10/10 bar.

I came in for a Sunday brunch. Ordered the Smash Tot Skillet. Everything was perfect and delicious. The tots are divine. The egg was just right. The staff are fantastic and polite and friendly. Love this place and I plan on doing by every time I'm in NYC.

Awesome whiskey bar with a variety of beers on tap as well. The kitchen isn't too shabby, either! It offers slightly upscale bar fare that is delicious especially if you're grubbing late night. My only complaint is that it can get VERY loud in the space when it's crowded as people talk louder and louder to hear one another over the reverb of other peoples' voices bouncing off the walls. I tend to stay away when it's this crowded and choose to hit it either earlier on or later on in the evenings when it's less crowded.

Met me wife here in 2014 and bonded over their delicious cocktails and extensive selection of whiskey/bourbon and beers. Came tonight for our 4th anniversary. Forget everything you just read and listen up! The tots and chicken tendies are knee-slappingly delicious.

Discovered this gem last night and will definitely be back! I was having trouble choosing a cocktail so the bartender made me a customized one, which was delicious. The chicken tenders were also some of the best I’ve ever had—clearly homemade and so tender. My only complaint was that the biscuit that came with my tenders was raw in the middle, but I didn’t care because I was so full on tenders. I also appreciated the atmosphere, which is hard to come by in Manhattan. It was lively but not too loud and dim lighting but I wasn’t squinting to see my friend across the table.

I love this place - oh my goodness! The chicken tenders were the best I’ve had in the city. The sauces were amazing. Biscuit was flaky, with honey butter!!! Fries were so hot, fresh, and full of potato - delicious! Food was reasonably priced for the portion. Good selection of draft beers too. Can’t say enough good things!

Ok so the chicken tenders are AMAZING! Very fresh and hot and crispy. It’s s small menu that has a lot of southern inspiration. The biscuits with the honey butter are melt in your mouth good. The cocktails are nice and they are strong. If your in to watching sports games this is the place for you. If you just want to sit in the corner and do your own thing, this is also the place for you.

I only went there for beer, so I didn’t get to try any food. Definitely coming back on my next visit and will get my grub on. I was able to chat with Harry, who is super friendly, attentive and passionate. We were able to talk beer and bourbon. They have a great variety of whiskeys, a killer variety of craft beer, and their can selection is not to be trifled with, they even have Foam Brewing! Great spot to relax and grab a pint or two, they even have vintage beers.

I like the atmosphere and the bartenders are friendly. You have to go at the right time if you want to sit down and eat as sometimes it's very crowded and seating is limited.

Totally cool, laid back bar. I was there on a Saturday afternoon, so I can't speak for the night vibes, but it was a great place to have a couple beers and some good food. They have 24 beers on draft, all craft breweries. Plus more bottles and cans. The bloody Mary backs a nice horseradish punch. The homemade tater tots are great, but don't go in expecting your standard tots. Great place to just hangout for a few hours.

The food is amazing! And of course, the best bar in New york has the best bartender, Mauro! The place is small and friendly in a great neighborhood. Went out barhopping on a Thursday night for my girlfriend's birthday and ended up here for about an hour (1am-2am). Place was cool, very mellow, had decent music, and an attentive bartender. Drinks were great (nice beer selection and good cocktails). Not the cheapest joint but not completely unreasonable either. It's a little small so if it got more crowded on a weekend I might not want to be crammed in there but if the crowds were small and chill like tonight then it's a great little spot. Also sorry the picture isn't great but it's the only one I really took 🤷‍♂️

I don’t normally write reviews, but the food here truly blew me away. I’m not saying it’s Michelin, but it totally delivers for the price. For me, when it comes to food, value matters as much as taste. A few buddies and I came here after a movie just looking for bar food and drinks. At this price point, especially in the city, I was expecting frozen tenders and tots, or just nothing out of the ordinary, but these tots are the best tater tots I’ve ever had. These are so clearly handmade in-house. It’s like potato arancini. And the seasoning??????? This has ruined tater tots for me because no other tot will live up to this. Same deal with the tenders. Homemade. The breading flakes off the meat when you bite into it. NOT FROZEN. They put care into the dishes. They get major points from me for surpassing expectations. A bar in the city, with these prices, could probably get away with re-frying frozen bar food. These people choose not to. Hell. Yes. The cherry on top? They messed up and accidentally gave us an extra order of tots. Didn’t charge us.

So, unbelievably good. Stopped in for a late lunch. Excellent service. Chicken tenders, buttermilk biscuits, shrimp and grits, homemade tater tots and brunch burger for our group. Food was well seasoned, cooked perfectly, fresh and homemade!

Food: 5 - Amazing burger. Fries as well! The other sandwich is the pulled pork which was excellent. The pork came with huge tater tots as seen in the bowl next to the sandwich. Great beer selection Service: 5 - Quick, friendly and attentive staff! Atmosphere: 4 - Pretty secluded, seems like a local spot. No tv's and music isn't blaring. Would be a 5 if a little brighter, but it's essentially a bar that serves food, so the lighting makes sense.

This place is something special! ********** There is just something about a good burger at a cozy neighborhood bar on a cold night. Bondurants is perfect for this, loved every moment. Nice and full on a Friday night but we managed to snag a table and each got the burger and IPA fries. Not a bite was left behind! The service was also impeccable, our server was so friendly and gave excellent beer recommendations when my boyfriend's first choice wasn't available. I also got the Fizzy Lifting Drink and thought it was the best cocktail I've had in awhile. Yet another gem on the Upper East Side! Can't wait to come back!

What a hidden gem on the UES! Great place for craft beer and classic grub like wings, tater tots, and fried pickles (all pictured), which are made with a twist and all made to perfection! The atmosphere is just right as well, with nice wide circular seating and old school tunes playing in the background.

Bondurant's is a great spot just off the corner that simultaneously feels vibrant and populated but also subtle and calm. It is dimly lit and romantic (everyone looks cool by candlelight), but still feels modern. They have an excellent craft beer list, and the food is great. Seriously look at these burgers. You're going to write to your mom about them.

Great local spot for wings and burgers! Wings are tasty and smoked, their steak fries are big, hot and tasty also. Strange though, they dont seem to have a wait staff and you order food from the bar, seat yourself and I think the kitchen staff brings em out to you, lol. I know its a small spot, but 1 wait staff person would help A LOT.

Great place to go with a group of people. It’s usually a little loud so I wouldn’t go there if you’re on a first date. Otherwise it’s a lot of fun if you’re just looking for a normal bar to watch a game with friends. Prices are pretty decent as well compared to other places in the neighborhood.

Came here for brunch, solid offerings. "Best breakfast sammie ever" didn't quite live up to the name but the beer options made up for it. Had a "wake up dead" from Left Hand, delicious. Cozy environment, would come back to try different beer offerings. Similar to The Jeffrey but with better food.

I visited with some coworkers to try out the selection of IPA beers. I'm not a beer drinker (I prefer wine/cocktails) but I was pleasantly surprised to find 2 varieties that I enjoyed. The overall atmosphere was laid back and it was cozy, yet spacious enough for us to talk, drink and enjoy each other's company.

The menu is very hit and miss. Breakfast taco is revolting, burger is excellent. Wings are mediocre, tater tots are great. If you order the right stuff the food is great and at a pretty competitive price for the area. Beer selection is pretty solid. Service is sometimes sub-par. The crowd is younger and it is a very fun place to hang out.

I rarely hang out on the UES but I was visiting my friend Scott who lives around the corner from Bondurant’s and the reviews and website intrigued me. Turns out they were spot on. The bartender was both friendly and efficient and the food (we had the hummus, onion soup, and fries) was surprisingly tasty.

I really like this place! A nice locals spot with staff that really makes you feel at home. A HUGE selection of draft beers and knowledgeable bartenders to help you make a selection. I have had several different beers in my visits and have always been well informed to make a good choice. The food menu is great, many items from snacks to burgers and shareable plates. Everything I have eaten was great and fresh. There are many bars I like in the neighborhood, and this is a solid choice.

Bondurant’s on the Upper East Side is honestly the cutest spot! The bar seating is perfect for grabbing a drink and just chilling with friends. The vibe is super cozy and low-key, but still feels a little fancy in the best way. Their cocktails are amazing, and the small plates are perfect if you’re a little hungry.. Bartender was great too!

Ate here with a friend who was visiting in the UES at around 6pm on Friday. We got one of the last seats, at the window bar top and enjoyed a few drinks at Happy Hour prices which ended at 7pm. We got the French fries, the bahn mi pork sliders, the blistered shishito peppers, and the fried green tomatoes. The bahn mi pork sliders and the shishito peppers were good. The fried green tomatoes were so-so— the breading overpowered the flavor. The fries were thick cut and a little soggy, but it’s hard to hate fries. Overall good and we were happy with the portions. The waiter had to check in with us twice because he forgot a few things but was still very friendly. Four stars all around.

We have been twice now as friends of ours live nearby. The food is tasty and they have a great selection of beers. I was dubious about the mac n cheese with blue cheese, buffalo chicken wings and hot sauce but it was truly awesome!! Have been thinking about it for 2 days now and am sad that I won’t get a chance to go again before we fly back to London. The tater tots were also really good and the wings delicious too. The coffee beer was pure genius... will be booking a flight for the Mac n cheese again soon!

Bondurants excels with its beer selection and laid back atmosphere. Definitely a neighborhood vibe. The food - I’d pass on. I got the BLT chicken sandwich which, for the ~$15 price without fries, was more like a slider. I have never before complained about portion size and, when I brought up that my chicken breast was nugget-sized to my waiter, he said “yep it’s small” and walked away. I’d return for drinks but you can get much better food close by.

First off the food and atmosphere is great. The tall blonde bartender, however attractive and hardworking, needs a lesson in customer service. No smile, no how's your day going. Nothing. You don't have to be my shrink but give some minimal form of effort. It's literally your job. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were having a bad day but I didn't get that vibe. Noticed three girls behind me waiting for seats at the bar so I closed out quicker to give them a spot. As I'm leaving he sees the girls approaching the bar and lights up like a kid in a candy shop...so maybe you really like the ladies. Fine. I felt completely unappreciated. I wonder if I'm alone. The other bartenders were lovely.

The service, music (playlist) & drinks were good however, the food was not. Don't order the wing sauces until you've sampled them first. Our server tried to rectify the situation absolutely no ambiance. They obviously have no storage space because their supplies are stacked against the walls with the guests.

They are also one of the most homogenous establishments I've ever seen. And that's a tall order in New York. If you like beer, in a quiet setting with zero customer diversity then have at it. They could least play some elevator tunes though.

This is an honest review after having given Bondurant's a chance four (4) times total over ~3 years. Unfortunately, I have decided that I can't, in good faith, spend money at Bondurant's again or recommend it to any friends and family. Starting with the good: the hostesses have always been decently friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is nice. The bad: the hanger burger was possibly the worst burger I've ever had in NYC; limp, cold, overcooked. The fries were flaccid, cold, and greasy. The green tomatoes were borderline inedible. The deviled eggs seemed as though a child made them for a school project. I ordered a Guinness and it was served in a weird, small glass that didn't appear to even be a beer glass. I would recommend trying a different place for bar food.

Was there the other evening. Male bartender with facial hair, his name started with a J I believe. He doesn’t seem too friendly and not much social grace going on as a bartender. You should be social a bit and friendly when working directly with people. He doesn’t seem happy at all. Maybe he was having a bad day. The drinks he made me were decent.

With a very heavy heart I leave this review. I brought my friend here who is going thru a difficult separation. I imagined this place would do wonders amongst a handful of other great late night spots in the city. But as soon as we arrived the tall handsome Caucasian bartender was unnecessarily curt with us. As soon as we ordered our drinks he closed our tabs even thought 1) we did not say we wanted our tabs closed 2) none of the patrons did not seem in a hurry to leave 3) we happen to be the only non Caucasian patrons in the venue. I wish I could chaulked this up to us being rowdy and a bit too tipsy but alas this is too much. Bondurants does not like asian men. Please do better for your own sake.

I am absolutely horrified from the service my friends and I received tonight at Bondurants. My friends have been coming here since they moved to the UES and have only said wonderful things until tonight. My friends and I were cut off after one drink after showing excitement for seeing friends we haven’t seen in a long time. When we tried to talk to the bartender about the misunderstanding he basically told us to leave and his tone was very aggressive and made us feel extremely uncomfortable (this was Ben the bartender). Very unacceptable

The heavily tattooed female bartender here has a horrible attitude. Must have personal issues that she takes out on patrons. Drinks are seriously diluted and the food is below average. If I could rate this place a negative 5 - I would. Don’t waste your money here.

Came here with friends from work and everything was great until the Bartender Nico was a total jerk to us for being loud (at a bar, imagine that!). He was unprofessional and rude. We promptly left and went to a nearby place that was more welcoming. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the city that you can spend your money without encountering a Nico.
