Opinions de Gracie's Diner Bergenfield
Our waiter Jose was the truth. I haven't seen anyone take more pride in their work than him. Our food was great dont get me wrong but customer service means everything. I will wait to be seated in his section always. He's magnificent. Three cheers for him.
I’ve been to the brownstone diner physically once and ordered food via Ubereats another time. Both times the food was great— flavorful, filling & classic. The pancakes were super delicious! I’m definitely going to be a repeat customer. The eggs could use a little more salt but nonetheless all was good. Each times I ordered the buttermilk pancakes combo which comes with eggs, bacon & sausage. I also ordered a (blueberry) muffin which was buttery and moist.. it didn’t taste much like blueberries but it was still good. The menu is large, I’ve only gone twice for breakfast menu items but I’m definitely going to return to try their other lunch & dinner options. The food is also priced pretty well! They do have free parking in the back but it does seem like it gets packed periodically.
I have so much to say about this place I am overwhelmed with where to begin. The service: absolutely top notch. First time or hundredth time you’re treated as if you’re a regular. So welcoming, so accommodating, no request is too big. The food: sunny side eggs cooked perfectly every-time. Every. Time. The reliability is incredible. I also swear by the pancakes. The pancakes are served with whipped butter that manages to hold its shape and consistency when refrigerated overnight. The only downside is the menu isn’t available online. That’s it. The only downside. Oh, and you pay by the door so it gets a little congested with people waiting to be seated & waiting to pay.
I come here every Saturday with my kids, it's a tradition we started. They love the food, as do I, but the service they have here is fantastic. I always look for my waitress, a very friendly latin woman, I don't remember her name. But I will make it a point to find out when I go again.
I stumbled across this place while on a morning drive this past Sunday. My girlfriend always wanted to visit the Englewood Cliffs location but never got around to it. We decided to give it a try. Well we couldn’t be happier. She got the best French Toast she ever had. I was a little jealous. I had my usual a Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe with a side of brown gravy. It was excellent. Many people think a burger is a burger. OH NO! NOWAY even close to being correct. Everyone massacres the birder and are usually gray and tasteless. This burger was perfectly cooked and very tasty. The fries were nice a crispy and they were plentiful. The service was excellent and our server we very friendly and prompt. Both of our dishes were scolding hot, PERFECT. When we paid the owner was at the register. He was a pleasure to talk to and really took pride in his 6 locations. I never knew there was 6 of them but it’s great to know. Oh yeah and it was 26$ hahahaha. How can he provide such quality food and service at this price. It just proved all theses other diners and restaurants are gouging us because they feed their greed. We will definitely be back to try dinner.
Skirt steak and eggs with sauteed spinach with garlic....delicious and top quality steak. Best I've had since moving to the area.
Delicious. Ordered takeout for the recently open Pancake restaurant. The online order process was very easy, no sign up, Google payment at the end and no surge!!! Very nice!!! Food was ready on time and hot. Well packed and followed the special instructions. Friendly front end hostess brought me my order. Quick and painless. The pancakes were really good. I gave them a test of the Standard Buttermilk Pancakes. Delicious. Not as sweet as other places but a good size and filling. I will definitely go back.
Exquisite food and service. Prices were much lower than I expected. I would expect prices like these to yield inferior food.....update. visited today. The service was not just poor, but remarkably poor. I'm a very low maintenance guest. It wasn't that he didn't care. He actually felt terrible about how I was treated. The problem was that he was not properly trained on how to handle a busy station. Poor guy.
Was unsure about coming here at first cause I'd been attached to the diner that had been here, but honestly it was great. The food was so good and the vibes were still there. Really enjoyed my time and would come back
Decided to get some lunch to go from this place. It came highly recommended so I figured "why not?" I have to admit this place delivered in the flavor department. My gyro was cooked perfectly and the pita bread was toasted just right. I also had disco fries with it and it was very delicious. The only slight issue I had was with the Tzsiki sauce being a little thick and the price point was a tad high. However....given how much they serve you and the great service, im willing to overlook that. Overall I great place with a rating of 4.8. I recommend this place for some good eats.
Great food, great prices, big portions. My favorite server is Mo.. tell him I said Hello ❤️
Very lovely place to dine for breakfast...Staff friendly & courteous..Itcwas not packed for a Sat afternoon..Food was delicious..
When my daughter lived in Toms River we ate here often. Good food and generous portions
In a world of inflation and overindulgent appetites, this place is breath of fresh air that hearkens back to the days of classic diners. Service was very friendly and attentive, food was simple and healthy, prices very reasonable, and even though it was a Saturday morning, they let us sit there for two hours and just keep chatting and drinking free coffee refills. On top of this, parking was convenient. Thank you very much for your service to our community!
Our waiter, Moe (older gentleman) was friendly and had a great personality. He checked on us several times. You could tell he enjoys his job.
Atmosphere was your typical diner. In terms of service and food it was very good. Quite a lot of food for the price and it all tasted good. No disappointment with any items ordered. Server was friendly, prompt and food came out well.
Today was my first visit, but was so tasty I had to write. My friend and I had breakfast here...cofee was smoking hot and very good...and refills were plentiful. I had a very basic scrambled eggs, bacon, homefries and whole wheat toast w/ butter. I like my bacon extremely crispy...they were happy to oblige (I think they may have even deep fried it). Getting crisp bacon is usually a hit or miss at most diners. Food was also nice and hot. Butter on the side was whipped and easy to spread. I tried my friend's pancakes...super delicious! I hadn't been here since it was Mathews Diner, and whatever remodeling they did really brightened it up, was very open and sunny. I'll be back! Would be nice if they were open for dinner too, but they typically close at 4 PM.
The food was amazing, and our server fonzo took great care of us! 10/10 would come again!
Awesome food. Great staff. Bring cash for valet parking.
Everything was absolutely amazing! The food, the staff, the whole experience!
Food is excellent and our server Destiny was the best, so friendly and informative about the menu.
I've always liked the Brownstone franchise in Edgewater and Englewood Cliffs and the one in Bergenfield did not disappoint! There is usually a wait during the weekend brunch time, although I think it's probably less than the other 2 Brownstones. Was expecting an hour long wait but they said it would be 15 mins. Got my usual Eggs Benedict and was happy with how it came out!
Went with my family and we all loved the food and service. We are planning to go back soon
Moe Preformed lovely services are outstanding. Definitely professional, very genuine. I love it here all around.
Food is what you would expect in a diner. The omelette came out great. The fries were even better and my friends also agreed that they enjoyed their food! Service was great. The waiter was really attentive and the atmosphere was very cozy! We definitely recommend coming back not sure why previous reviews said otherwise!
such an amazing environment with lovely staff! the food here is fantastic—I personally recommend the turkey club and chocolate chip pancakes! me and my mother had destiny as our server, and she was incredibly sweet. she gave us great recommendations, and took great care of us! she also made sure our glasses were never empty. such a great experience. will definitely be coming again soon! (p.s definitely try the pink lemonade!)
I was a little nervous to give this place a try, with all the mixed reviews, but I'm so glad I did! Picky daughter had no complaints over pancakes, short rib Benedict was incredible! Staff was extremely friendly! We will definitely be back before heading home!
This place was an epic experience for me and my wife. We got an omelette and chocolate, peanut butter pancakes. I’ve got to say I was SOO happy with the portion sizes of everything. The omelette was so big! When I asked about it, the waitress said most diners do three eggs in an omelette and they put six. The food was good. I literally stayed full until like four or five after eating around 10am.
Excellent place to spend a good family or personal time. The employees are friendly and very courteous. Thanks to Vicky for such great customer service. The food was excellent. I would definitely return to this place unlike another location where there is never anywhere to park here, it was easy and there is a small mall in front 😉 in case you can't find where to park.
Ordered Belgian Waffle with bananas and walnuts, perfectly cooked. We also ordered French toast it was delicious. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. Portions are large. The place is spotless, not like the one in Englewood Cliffs, everything feels gooey. The wait staff very attentive. 3% charge is added automatically to check, if paying in cash deduct from check.
Getting in the place is a hassle cause the parking lot is located in the back of the place and is on a busy street, I asked the people if they could give me what I saw in the google review photo for this place and they delivered. I’m very satisfied with the vista and I do plan on comming back. The waiter was extremely kind and attentive and the food was made relatively fast. It’s not that busy in there on weekdays I bet. 10/10 great pancakes and service and cleanliness.
Ordered pickup and found parking with no issues in lot. Food was promptly ready for me at front desk. Service on the phone and desk were very hospitable. Food was high quality. Including breakfast sandwich and pancakes. Only thing notable is onions were not included on sandwich which I ordered.
This restaurant was a bit pricey, but the food made up for the cost. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavor was top notch. Although, my waitress was a little distracted because there were so many customers, she still got our orders correct and served my table with a smile. That smile makes all the difference in a crowded restaurant. We all know that a crowded restaurant means darn good food, and the Brownstone Diner & Pancake Company did not disappoint.
We stopped for a late Sunday breakfast. The service was quick, food delicious, service was impeccable.
*PLS DONT GET THIS MISTAKEN AS BROWNSTONE PANCAKE FACTORY* The place inside looks very pleasant. Staff greeted us so friendly and everyone looks happy. A lot of food in the menu so take time at looking at it. There was a little problem when we came in because there wasn’t enough people in the kitchen, but Charlene, our server, took care of us professionally and explained everything. I am happy that food went out delicious and great! The only problem i’m giving 4 stars is because they close so early. They should extend the store hours!
Service and atmosphere is good. I ordered a tuna melt which was sub par.
Waiter never came by to ask how everything was. Prices, quantity and quality was good. Pancake egg combo.
Went with a friend on a Sunday morning practically as soon as they opened and had a great experience. We were easily sat and received dedicated service from an older gentleman. He was friendly and attentive with us. We ordered a cranberry spritzer, the jack combo and a pancake combo both w some modifications. All were delicious, could've used slightly more salt but I prefer the option to add more salt than the opposite. Overall, this was a solid choice and for pricing it is very fair; we paid $38 all included for the two of us. Would recommend and return!
Thought I'd give this diner a try as they recently opened. I just ordered a breakfast sandwich which, was okay but nothing special. I had ordered Taylor ham but they served it with bacon. Also, it came with cheese ($2.00 extra) that I didn't order. I didn't bother sending it back as I also like cheese and bacon. Their menu has lots of choices. Prices struck me as a couple dollars higher than for most diners. Service was good for me but I noticed other tables seem to be waiting quite a while for their order to arrive. Clean and bright atmosphere.
Horrible parking experience. Cars parked at the entrance of lot. Not safe. Food prepared in rush. Not an experience I planned. Traffic noise. Inside is full of loud people plus music.
Are these new owners? I'm curious because my last visit was great. My most recent visit was marred by really unfriendly service. It felt like I was in a DMV. Nasty, curt, rude, unfriendly, passive aggressive attitude from everyone, including the owner/operator guy. Food was good, probably even slightly better than diner average. Prices also slightly above average. I won't be back though, just due to the poor customer service vibe. Down graded what could have been a 4 star to a 3 star.
I should have ordered pancakes! Got typical diner food. Burger, fries, garden salad. Not impressive. SO disappointed with the cup of coffee I added. I put a pic. Look at all of the coffee grounds! Disgusting!!!! That wasn’t even the worst part- the waiter was so bad. He was courteous enough, but the most impatient server I have ever had! He started to walk away twice, before I was even finished ordering. He stole the sugar and sweeteners from the table for no reason, so I had to take sweeteners from another table to help the disgusting coffee. Ugh. The diner was very nice visually and I would like return to try the pancakes, which is what the restaurant is known for. If I return, I certainly hope I get a different waiter. :(
I was very disappointed today in my visit when two of the female workers repeatedly threw a wet bleach rag in front of me while I was eating at the bar top. My server told one of them the first time she did it, and she still did it a second time. Might have to find a new breakfast spot after church on Sundays. Any suggestions?
Waitress had bit of attitude as we reminded her things she forgot. Omelet was not the greatest. Pancakes very good. First time there. Parking is very limited.
It was busy but had available parking spaces. It's a staple go at the border line of Bergenfield & Teaneck. First time thought the ten years it wasn't stellar. I actually looked forward to dining here & live out of state. The waitress was not listening to our order & got my diner partner's order wrong. We she was informed she insisted that she gave the correct order. When she went back to the kitchen she discovered she had brought out the wrong order. My strawberry crepe were thick which is NOT a crepe. Some version of a crepe pancake which was not tasty. It didn't even taste like a crepe either. The food was just okay. The strawberry shake was a 3.5/5. Before we finished I requested a container & the check since we were in a hurry . The waitress gave us the wrong check! We immediately informed her but she failed to bring us the correct one. I raised my hand to try to get her attention but she remained assisting newcomers at their table & then went to in the back/kitchen for a while. We waited so long I suggested we get up went to the cashier. The owner called her & it still took her a long time to produce the check. The owner apologized but the wait was unnecessary. This experience will have me seeking a new dining spot in the area when I visit again.
Terrible hours. Matthews diner was open late night. But 4pm? They're not even open for dinner. Otherwise they'd have 5 stars. The whole purpose of diners was good hours. People could go to diners late for good late night dinners. But 4pm is no good. I'd rather see 12pm to 12am or even later. Have to find people willing to work late. That's what NJ diners are known for. These are the shortest hours I've ever seen in NJ diner history. Sorry. Otherwise great food and great service.
I was planning to dine here for a month.. was really looking forward to be WOWED! Honestly no future plans to come back to this location.. The place smells mold.. climate is horrible the temperature outside was 93 and the AC was barely working.. and finally and most importantly the taste of food was below average. On a positive note, the staff is working hard and cleaning to the best of their abilities.
The service was awful!! This was our 3rd time going there, trying to give them a chance. Each time we go there, there's an issue. This time was with the waiter. The dish my wife ordered, the corned beef hash omelet, she sent back because it didn't look right. She apologized. The waiter was very upset! He tried to make her take the dish, even after she made it clear she did not want it. The manager said no problem, give her what she wants. The waiter, at first, refused to do as the manager said. Not till we threatened to walk out, did he put in her new order. And EVEN THEN, the new order came out wrong!! My wife just kept it to keep cool heads. Needless to say, he received NO tip!!
The food was good but the customer service was terrible. I asked for a table for two and the guy in the bar just nodded his head to the direction of the tables and implied us to seat, Which was rude. The waitress didn’t even let us get settled and Immediately asked what we wanted to drink and I felt rush and couldn’t think. I wouldn’t come here again just cause of the service.
Went today july 29, saturday around 2:30. Sat down, no waitress for about 10 to 15 minutes. There was only 1 waitress, extremely slow. She took our order after waiting now 15 to 20 minutes. I was with 3 adults including myself and my niece who is 5. My nieces food came first which is good followed by ours. The waitress had no clue how to place our dishes on the table. We had to grab it from her hand. Food was good but the curly fries that came with the entree was extremely salty. Omg. couldnt finish them, very salty and not healthy. I asked the waitress for water and waited for about 5 minutes. It doesnt take much time or effort to pour water in our glasses. Had to ask her twice. She said "oh yes".Plus she had no tables to wait on. Overall, first and last time to come here. Either hire more waiters, waitresses or fire the one you have. Adios. Good Luck Brownstone Diner. I cant believe this place is still in business.
I really wanted to like this diner as it’s located in my town. The food is ok with a good variety but the service is subpar. Upon arriving, the owner wasn’t too friendly and didn’t do a good job calling people in the order they arrived. Our waitress, which I believe her name was Vicky, was very unprofessional in many ways than I can describe. She was very rude in the way she spoke to us, had an attitude as if we were bothering her, rushed us and brought us the wrong orders. This is not the way to treat your customers. I hope management improves customer service, which is vital to any restaurant.
I wish they edited the hours so I would know it was closed for vacation before arrival
The food at The Brownstone in Bergenfield is really good—no complaints there. But when I was placing my order, the person helping me came off a little rude and didn’t seem very understanding. When I asked for clarification, he said he was too busy, which made the interaction feel rushed and dismissive. Great food, but the customer service experience left something to be desired.
This will be the first and last time I go here my thought is if you are a regular person that goes here all the time you will get service ASAP but for us it took about 10 minutes to get water or get acknowledged. My eggs were cold and I was not going to send it back because we all know what happens when you send food back no thank you and then I have a person sitting across to me with her feet on the chair with no shoes on absolutely not I will not go back there again
Gave this place a 2nd chance, didn’t have a good experience the first time but tired again today. Burger wasn’t bad but being “the pancake factory” the specialty pancakes weren’t good. Ordered the Oreo pancake and it was dry and the “Oreo” was definitely a cheap imitation. My son didn’t like it so I got another order of regular pancakes and half way through, pulled a LONG hair out of the middle. Nope! That was it for me. I told the waiter and he obviously took it off the check but no manager came over, just business as usual. The overall environment was very nice and the place and tables did look clean.
I do not recommend this diner. My mushroom omelette had no flavor and smelled bad. The only two ingredients were eggs and mushrooms, no flavor or veggies. Even the fries were bad which is hard to mess up. They tasted stale. Nothing had salt or flavor. Turkey bacon and pancakes my bf got were good. Plenty of other good diners in this area.
The clean, bright appearance of the newly opened Brownstone Diner was a welcomed sight when we walked in for our first visit. Unfortunately, the owner was yelling at a server behind the counter as we were being seated. The mobile restaurant phone remained on the counter next to our booth and rang no less than 15 times during our meal on the highest volume. It was answered only a couple of times and after multiple rings. The food was okay but not great; egg not poached and toast barely toasted. The servers were scurrying around to try and keep up with the demand on a late Sunday morning. As we were checking out, the owner was barking rudely at another employee about where he wanted takeout orders placed. The menu is very diverse and the servers very attentive. We will try it again for a weekday lunch in the hope the owner has improved his behavior and the dining experience.
Wish we could give no stars but there is no such option. We order an avocado toast, coffee, coke and Pete’s omelet. After taking first bites, we were highly disappointed on the quality of both dishes, how poor it was. The avocado smash toast was officially “worst avocado toast” of my life. It was not made of real avocado, more like a spread from supermarket and not the freshest one, the tomates tasted off, the omelet and hash brown had a strange after taste. The most decent part of our order was a coke, I guess. The waitress was nice, the place looks nice but the food was terrible. Left the place hungry. Unfortunately, will not be coming back.
The service is horrible, I had a simple order they got my whole order wrong didn’t get to eat my food all together as how it should be my pancakes and grits were cold as I waited another 20 extra mins for my food. the manager did not care did not take nothing off the bill. I don’t recommend coming here! At all And all the manager said is to come and see him next time it will never be a next time!! Please do not go to this establishment.
Missed my order via Uber, wrong order, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Could NOT reach anyone by phone !! Horrible, kids didn’t eat pancakes that day…. Customer for years…. No more, don’t bother calling… no one answers
I ordered two eggs, corned beef hash, I got three eggs ,corned beef hash and home fries and a bill that was 5 bucks higher than the items that I ordered. When I complained to the waitress she gave me some B.S. and said the extra egg was free. When the check came I Saw that the cost was not for what I ordered but included the additional items. I spoke to the manager and he basically told me "so what"
The food was good but the wait staff is horrible. We had a waitress who was just so rude and has no people skills. Firstly we were sitting down discussing the menu and she came over asking us if we were ready 3 times in the middle of our convo.. and we told her please give us 2 min. Then when we told her we were ready after a few min.. she blurted, well now that you are ready so is everyone else. A little unprofessional for her to comment. But then the worst part was when we asked what kind of sodas are available she told us to turn to the front of the menu and when we figured it out she would come back. Not to mention she rudely removed the menus off the table and striking my elbow in the process. What kind of services is this? By looking at the reviews it seems that the staff has a history of this. Thanks but no thanks. Better off going to your local diner.
The man in the register around 12:57 pm today was very dismissive, no explanation why we can't dine inside, we ordered the food 10 minutes before coming so we don't need to wait. Said we can't do that ordering ahead of time in a very Rude manner and dismissive! I explained to him that may be next time put that in Google or in your website . No ordering in advance. The food is great and affordable 👌! Customer service bad !
Horrible experience and on Father’s Day!! I went with my family and was greeted nastily and told: are you sure you want to stay?? It will be 45 minutes wait (the place wasn’t even full). There were many upset faces waiting for their breakfast and they were more concerned with their deliveries than the customers in the house. The manager came out to reprimand the employee who was showing us to a table. We did not stay. No apologies. Nothing. Really awful customer service. We won’t go back nor recommend it to any of our friends.
To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. Went here once before and received a nasty attitude from our waitress for showing up 70 minutes before close, (ended up only taking 45 minutes and left sooner than people who were already there). Gave this place the benefit of doubt considering maybe she was having a bad day and the food wasn’t bad. After today, I will not return and DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE. Went with my partner and little sister. I ordered the drinks for the table exactly as mentioned: 3 waters & a mudslide for me. I was in the middle of telling the waitress (same person from our first ever visit here) we were ready to order our food as well, but she ran off in the middle of me talking (once again gave benefit of doubt thinking she wanted to put the drinks in really quick). She comes back with 3 waters and 3 mudslides. We never once were carded. She placed the mudslides infront of all of us, infront of my PRE-TEEN SISTER. I mentioned we did not order 3 and was beyond shocked. I tasted it and confirmed it was indeed with alcohol. She immediately tried stating that I ordered 3 (which I did not), brought back the 2 we did not order and began gossiping with her co-worker about it. I took my sister to the car as my partner spoke with the manager because there’s no way in hell we’d stay after this. This woman should not work here and is a poor representation of this company. She should be fired. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION
Went there because is was closer than the other Brownstone. They sat us at a dirty table. Waiter eventually came with our main course and instead of removing the appetizer dishes, he’s pushing the main course plates into the appetizer dishes and one fell into the seat. So at that time the children’s pizza was never delivered, a few minutes later I waived him down and asked for my child’s pizza, he said it’s coming. We finished our meal and still no child pizza. At that time, I canceled the pizza and he continued to say it’s coming and that it was not his fault. I asked for the check and the pizza was on there, eventually it was removed from the bill. Funny thing is they were never in a rush to remove our appetizer dishes, but at the end we were getting up and putting our jackets on and our sons too. The female worker was on our a#% waiting to get the dirty dishes.
The latina server there didn’t wait for us to finish our food and abruptly walked off as we ordered 3 waters and a mudslide without even letting us finish our entire order. When she came back she brought us 3 waters and 3 mudslides without checking for our ID’s. Me and my partner are old enough to order however my other guest was my partners sister who is 12 years old. That server should be fired for not only terrible service but not even checking for our ID’s is so negligent it’s unbelievable. She even went to the back to bad mouth us to her co workers for not listening carefully. She should be fired
Ordered online from this business. Order (1) gluten free pancakes and (1) regular pancakes. They never marked which one is gluten free and when I called to confirm how am I supposed to tell the difference as this is an issue for a person with an allergy. They had no answer and replied " it should be a little pinkish". That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. They are both the exact same color. Had to give them both away as I could not take an allergy risk. Horrible customer service. Horrible business practice. If you have any allergies, DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS!
Gluten free waffle was gross got charged 3 extra dollars and I might have been okay if it wasn’t so nasty also virgin pina coloda cost the same as one with alcohol. Staff seemed nice.
Ordered takeout breakfast on Sunday May 18th and made this review on Monday the 19th because as I sat and ate the breakfast I made I couldn't help but to think about the horrible, dry, burnt and tasteless breakfast I had the day before. I never had food from here before but my friend did because he lives across the street from the diner, but he hasn't eaten there in over a year and he said he never will again. His French toast was burnt on one side and his over easy eggs were fried hard. My hash browns were dry, dry, dry, crumbling apart dry and you cannot tell me they don't use powdered eggs because my omelette was dry and burnt and tasteless, crumbling apart and thick and dense. I will only assume if you dine in they wouldn't bring such horrible food like this to your table, but I'm not willing to try. This experience was enough for me.
All hamburgers include french fries! That’s what your menu says, more than once it says it! When I questioned the server, who was a gentleman, he brought my question to the manager. Despite what the menu says the VERY RUDE IGNORANT manager, Pete, got loud with me, dismissed me and then turned his back on me and walked away! That is no way to treat people, yet alone customers! Hey Pete, I don’t give two σκατά how many diners you own you δύσοσμος γέροντας!
I have ordered and taken out pancakes from here on several occasions and loved it. So we decided to give dine-in a try. I must say I regretted the decision within 5 minutes of entering. I have never seen such an unprofessional and rude waitress in my life. She was visibly irritated and gave us such an attitude while taking our order. She didn’t even listen to us and kept rushing us. She brought the wrong drink and when we tried to call her over to correct it, she tried to ignore us. And then she came over after a long time, took the drink and gave us the one we had ordered. Not even an apology was made. The whole time she gave us an attitude as if she was feeding us for free. She was slamming plates and cups on our table. Not once did she come over and ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything. But there were one or 2 tables she was so nice to. Even though the food tasted good, my family was completely disappointed. And I was disappointed that I had brought them to such a terrible place that wasn’t even worth it. And on top of all this terrible customer service, she was forcing me to pay a hefty tip. There’s no need for me to pay a huge tip when I was far below satisfied with the service there. She was shaming us for not leaving the tip she wanted. And the guy at the front was also standing by her side and talking about us behind our backs. It was really disgusting and I will never step foot it into this place again. Learn some manners.
Google doesn’t have the correct closing time listed here.. they had the doors locked by 3:25.. so I assumed they must have closed by 3pm on a weds afternoon. Be aware.. it sucked that I drove all the way over here I would have chose a different place for lunch if google had the correct closing time in here
Seats and utensils dirty with food. Home fries tasted like day old potatoes that were recooked and burnt. We couldn’t finish our breakfast plates. Went to the man at the front desk to ask for the bill and let him know respectfully that we could barely eat our plates with the old tasting potatoes. He was rude and didn’t care. I paid my bill (in full) and left.
If you are Asian or against racism I would not spend your money here. Walked in while my family was waiting. Owner points to the section where my family is sitting and says some gibberish in what he thinks is some Asian language. I’ve seen him behave in this type of way before. Do better buddy. We all live here.
There were 2 BUGS in the food. We ordered a burger, and it came with lettuce and tomato on the side so you can put it on yourself. When we went to add the tomato on our burger, we noticed there were 2 bugs on it. We notified our waitress about the bug, and she offered no help. Saying she can’t do anything and that the manager had already left for the day. Poor service that doesn’t care about its customers and doesn’t seek to resolve conflict. Will be reporting to our local health department.
Ordered toast bagel with cream cheese and a side of brown gravy- was brought a nearly burnt cinnamon raisin bagel- waitress said to me you didn't say plain. I said if ordered a pizza would a pizza place randomly give me a sausage pizza? She said we don't have any plain only seeds, I said ok but you didnt offer me that you just brought me cinnamon raisin and says talk to manager. So, I did. His response was so send it back. I just turned and went back to my seat with my elderly mother. a few minutes later, waitress shows up with a plain bagel! I took one bite and it was doughy and not cooked. I get up to pay the bill and ask if I use a debit card (i had cash in my pocket) do I get charged the 3% because its illegal to charge on a debit, I am told no- I pay the bill get the receipt and boom 3% charge on it- I point it out to manager and I'm told to get out and not come back. Another man (who was sitting with manager) follows me out and asks me to explain, he has a retail business, and he isn't aware of it am I sure- I told him to look it up himself. The charge was only 64 cents and certainly I wasn't looking for the 64 cents, and as bad as the experience was, I still gave a 15% tip (normally in a diner I tip $10 minimum) because someone's still working and relying on a tip. Awful experience and I was the one kicked out (though the guy who followed me out offered me to come back for dinner on the house) because how dare I just not eat what I am brought. Also, another patron who walked out 2 minutes before me stopped as he walked by and said, it isn't you man, that was unbelievable. So, buyer beware and if you are using a debit card, dont let them charge you the illegal fee.
