Opinions de Taco Mix Bergenfield
I have been to fiesta yesterday, the chef and owner is very down to earth ever seen in the past times. No need to mention about the food the guacamole is made fresh and the chips are too yum, the grilled chicken burger is juicy. My friend and I loved the food everything is made fresh
Gustova was great and very friendly. Definately will come back. Thanks
Loved the place. So much variety in the menu. Mexican,Italian,Asian, Even had gluten free. Plus HMS approved. The service was friendly and efficient. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great place to eat near Bergenfield. Plenty of parking available outside and a clean restaurant. Newly opened so give them a try.
I rarely post restaurant reviews, but this was an exception. (I'll add that, while I specified 'Dine in' below, I've also gotten takeout.) Usually, there is a fear with kosher and halal restaurants that they aim to coast on simply being an option for people who have the dietary restriction in question. Fiesta is a genuinely excellent restaurant, across a wide range of items that I've tried. The beef birria is particularly good, though I've really enjoyed other proteins as well. Service is excellent, from food recommendations to even help with pickups. I don't live in the area but I've starting coming by here every time I am passing through, which says something because there is no shortage of great food here.
I spotted this place after finding out a nearby restaurant was closed. I was desperate to get some food after being out in the sun all day. I'm in the area often and have never heard of this restaurant before. I later found out this place is brand new. It was empty when I walked in, and I believe the owner greeted me. He’s a lovely guy. He’s full of energy and gives excellent hospitality. The food looked and tasted fresh. He told me to relax and take a seat. He brought the plate to my table and asked if everything was okay. The burrito I ordered was super delicious! Way better than going to Chipotle. I will be returning. Thank you for the excellent service!
The food was fresh and not oily! The rice was flavorful and not overcooked. Personally, I appreciate how the spices and herbs from the dish came together. Service was impeccable as well
This is an undiscovered gem in Bergenfield. The food is truly delicious and the workers have always been extremely nice, attentive, and accommodating. They take great pride in the menu and the portions are generous. The birria tacos are the true stars here. We also like to splurge and get the gelato from the freezer. Absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is modest. Clean but nothing fancy.
The best- listen to me- the BEST Birria Taco pie in NJ AND NYC
Food is good almost everytime and fulfills your cravings. There are so many options to choose from and have a unique menu plus it’s Halal!! Can’t beat that. The owner is great and the chef Gustavo is such a genuine and an amazing guy.
The ibirria tacos amazing. It was crunchy and the sauce was fire. The green enchiladas were amazing and it tasted fresh with great flavor. I do think this small spot has good great tasting authentic mexican food. I gone here a total of two times and both have been great flavor and good quality food.
Today we went to the restaurant and was amazed. They really blew out my expectations. I felt I was eating in Chipollo Mexico. Thanks to the Chef and team for the awesome taste. Definitely recommend.
Amazing place and even better customer service. Gustavo is the best mashaAllah. Food was 10/10 definitely top 3 Mexican halal places I’ve tried.
The staff member was SO nice and so welcoming. Easily one of the best customer experiences. We ordered the beef birria, the hard shell tacos, and the chicken quesadillas, and the were all delicious.
I was amazed by this restaurant. The food was exquisite, the plating was wonderful and the customer service excellent. The prices are incredibly affordable. Definitely a gem of a Mexican restaurant. 10 out of 10.
Amazing customer service! Gustavo and the owner were amazing. They went above and beyond for me and my family. They have authentic Mexican food plus more. I would recommend anyone to go! Food was amazing and fulfilling. They care about their customers. Halal meat is a plus
Great service! Love the food! Erick is the friendliest waiter and very efficient! Birria is a must try! Very nice place! The music was very pleasant while dining!
I want to share that I have been here several times. The first time we were treated very well by the owner and educated us about their menu and quality of ingredients. Every time my wife and I have come here.We have been treated very well by the service.Especially by Erick. For me, Erick is such a valuable person for this establishment and always makes it a great experience.
Gus was Amazing food is fresh we will be back again Thank you
Food was excellent! Highly recommend the birria empanadas. The owners were also lovely, accommodating people. Will definitely be going back!
Outstanding food! Everything was so fresh, delicious, and flavorful!!!! I found this restaurant by searching for “gluten free tacos” which they had as well as nachos and some other menu options. They are certified halal, too! The waiter (who I think is also the chef?) was so sweet and gave such a pleasant experience. They also have other ethnic dishes besides Mexican (such as Mediterranean). Highly recommend!!!!!
Great service and great food! Definitely coming back and bringing others with me!
Great burrito and Birria Tacos. Definitely get the horchata, it was like a delicious ice cream smoothie.
I went with my family and we all really enjoyed the food. Everyone and especially the owner was so nice and hospitable. And of course the food was delicious and authentic. You can taste the freshness in every bite.
Amazing food, amazing people. Totally recommend trying their pies always hits the spot!
Service was great and the food was delicious, birria tacos were my personal favorite. The owner was also kind and friendly, will definitely visit again!
This was such a pleasant experience. I was craving Mexican food, but as a Muslim, I was thoroughly surprised and pleased to see that this place was halal. The owner and his daughter were so kind and hard at work to make sure every customer was satisfied. The birria burger was amazing and left me wanting more despite being full. I will definitely be back here.
Really nice place, good atmosphere, and great food. Honestly the hospitality was absolutely beautiful and the care for customers was on top. Very clean and tidy place as well. Food was amazing, authentic, and of course zabiha halal certified.
Very simple place. Extremely clean, very friendly staff, nice music and ambience. Tried many things form the menu and everything was super fresh and tasty. Big portions for this money. Very pleasant experience, definitely recommend.
This was an incredible and unique place that serves halal Mexican food among other cuisines such as Italian. The Bowl with spicy chicken was so filling and delicious and they really packed the meat and toppings. The owner and his daughter were very friendly. I would definitely come back again.
The menu offers a wide selection of authentic Mexican and Italian dishes for Muslims to experience! I have tried other halal Mexican restaurants but the flavors do not come close to what they have to offer here. I was able to speak with both the chef and owner who are so kind and knowledgeable. They truly to care to bring good eats to the area. They also use avocado oil and extra virgin olive oil and that’s a big win in my book! I highly recommend all to come and try their nachos. Super satisfied with the service and food.
Finally a good and delicious Halal Mexican food restaurant. Very neat and clean. Friendly staff. Easy to order. My husband loved the halal roast beef sandwich. We ordered the Mexican pie and Birria Pie and both have extremely great taste. Excellent Burris Taco. The broth is the kicker. Definitely recommend. Will be back soon.
This place is amazing!!! Very tasty food and halal as well! Brought some friends with me who are Muslim and they enjoyed the food! Super good, servers were nice and the service was great! Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to explore some Mexican halal
It was a bit hot inside, maybe close to 80°F. However, it was clean and not smelly. Surprisingly, even at 8pm, almost all the seats were occupied and it took 15 minutes to start making our order because of the pre-existing orders. The food was fresh and tasty, not greasy at all. It was very lightly seasoned but came with sauce to let you customize your experience. There is a good amount of meat in the tacos and burritos. Everyone was nice. Overall, a good value, although it may be better to order ahead of time if you're in a rush.
Excellent food at a very reasonable price! We had 4 different dishes and two appetizers and we all loved it. We'll definitely be back soon!
This place is a gem, the food was perfect, spicy authentic Mexican food and more importantly halal, you don't see that very often, the owner was welcoming and friendly, he explained everything perfectly without being condescending, the chef makes everything from scratch and he's such a master of his craft, I had a bowl and asked the owner to make the way he would have it, came out great, 100% recommend, you will not be disappointed.
Best Mexican place in NJ and PA combined. I’ve had lots of Mexican food from many places and this place blows all others out of the water. Genuinely a perfect 10/10 authentic Mexican food restaurant. The employees are also very kind and willing to converse.
I am so happy to have halal food beside mediterranean or pakistani close to my home. I just try them yesterday. I ordered taco iftar and burrito iftar (both are with shredded beef) but instead taco, he gave me quesadilla.. good thing it was delicious. The burrito also sooo good! The place is very clean, I hope it stays like that. I really want to try the burrito bowl. I will definitely come back regularly.
We had a late lunch at this place. So we ordered their lunch special and it cost $10 each so the lunch special had the fries, Burrito, quesadilla and a soda. What I liked about this place was that it was neat and the staff were friendly like Gustavo and Odc and the other guy from the kitchen. They were accommodating and nice. They were caring for my son if he was ok to eat spicy. Thank you for your good service. What I missed was the fresh tomato salsa. Anyways, overall, it was a good 👍 place to eat.
Ordered: 1) tofu empanada, 2) torta milaneza de pollo, 3) chicken burrito All food was excellent!! Ordered for pickup and it was done within 20 minutes. Fresh ingredients cooked well, flavors were great! Met someone who seemed to be the owner (Sahih? Zaheed? Sorry for spelling) and he kindly gave us info on the origins of the restaurant. Will definitely be returning!
The Birria tacos are among the best tacos I have ever had. The enchiladas are made with homemade flour tortillas that are amazingly delicate and soft. All the sauces are homemade, too, and extremely flavourful and unique. Not fancy inside but very welcoming and friendly. Definitely worth seeking this place out.
The best tacos I ever had. They are bigger tacos and very flavorful. They have some delicious authentic sangria soda that paired perfectly with the food. Would recommend to everyone!
Wanted Mexican but wanted to try a new to us place. Found this on Google and did it deliver! First off, the service is phenomenal. That's the first impression right? Well.. Well done! We ordered the Birria Tacos as recommended by the staff. We also tried their chicken empanada. Sooooooo good. We will be back!
Honestly never post any food reviews. I found this place by looking online and found this place. It’s a nice environment with music and decorations. The food was amazing and delicious and amazing worker. 10/10 recommend this spot to eat they offer a variety of options for every person.
Good food, desert and drink selection. I had the Birria tacos and the chicken tacos. They were all great but the Birria tacos were damn amazing! I believe the owner was there when I ordered. He let me taste a few things before ordering and mentioned they make the broth for the Birria in house over several hours of cooking. He was very accommodating, shared a lot of information about their food, and especially the Italian deserts. I'm definitely coming back to try more options. Everything was spotless clean and looked very fresh.
Finally a great حلال Mexican 🇲🇽 spot. Would definitely recommend to try it out. Staff was friendly, especially Mr.Gustavo who greeted us well and explained the dishes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Parking 🅿️ can be a bit challenging. Prayer matt also available. Dishes : 1. Flautas De Pollo 2. Birria Tacos 3. Chimichanga 4. Burrito
I have a pretty sensitive palate when it comes to food and this place was able to satisfy that. I ordered the mixed Fajitas and a Horchata beverage. Meat was cooked perfectly and the seasoning is on par with what I would expect at a Mexican restaurant. Food did not sit with the heaviness you normally get with these types of food and the service was superb. Eddie provided the best customer service and made sure I had the best experience possible.
Nice Mexican restaurant in Bergenfield. Lots of menu options, even a few things that a picky eater like me will enjoy. Prices are in a good range. Employees are friendly. The dinning room is in an interesting layout where the right side is divided by an old Deli counter glass case. If the owner can afford to do so, I would recommend a slight remodel to remove this glass divider to maximize the floor space for easier walkways and seating. If the divider provides a little more privacy to the dinners, then a slight redesign would also benefit by removing the old glass and putting up a simple, wood wall. Maybe even use real wood. It would be a nice feature to have maybe 10 real tree trunks sprouting from the floor in a row. Or horizontally to make it like a log cabin. Then sprinkle the wood theme all over the restaurant to make it a complete theme. Other ideas could be to make it appear to be an exterior wall from a traditional Mexican house.. complete with a partial terra cotta roof just high enough to give privacy to the guests sitting at the tables on the right side. A less expensive redesign would be just a more modern glass wall, maybe frosted glass on the top half and trim it in metal or wood painted to the main theme of the restaurant. Currently one wall is decorated with the George Washington bridge with silhouette wall stickers showing both the Fort Lee NJ and NYC sides and painted clay fish randomly mounted in different spots with a nice mariachi hat up high. Also there is some stone masonry themed area on a column that looks good especially with the hard wood floors. Overall everything looks pleasant... but for me it doesn't reflect a Mexican theme very well. I am including one photo of a Mexican restaurant I ate at in Florida near Daytona Beach. Note the real wood chairs, the walls and ceiling decorations which also include the traditional Mexican flags hanging by stings.. it adds color to the theme, it stands out as something special and definitely Mexican. Anyway I think this is a nice place and it is in a good location. Plenty of parking and free parking. But just a caution, the restaurant is on a 1way street, so park in the large free parking lots on the left or right before you turn onto the street where the restaurant is located. It's a super easy walk from the lots to the restaurant.
If you are craving Mexican food then this place is a must visit. We read some good reviews on fb and thought to give it a try and man it was an awesome experience. We were greeted by the staff who were very humble and offered us a plate with corn chips and 3 different sauces which were spicy and amazing. We ordered Chicken Birria pie and we loved it . They also have new Bengali Biryani menu which I am very eager to try. Awesome Mexican food and that too halal is a cherry on the top. Highly recommended 😋 Update: Tried their Bengali Biryani menu. I ordered Beef Tehari ,Kacchi Biryani and kheer. Everything was yummy and flavorful. Only disappointment was that the Beef Tehari did not have meat . There were just 2 bits of meat which was a let down. Owner Zahid was very friendly and gave me complimentary samosa and Shami kebab which were good too. Overall happy with the taste except for the lack of meat in tehari. Kheer was awesome 😋
I had a fantastic experience at this halal Mexican restaurant! The combination of Mexican flavors with halal ingredients was a delightful surprise. The dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, showcasing the richness of Mexican cuisine while adhering to halal standards. Gustavo's service was outstanding friendly and accommodating, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a unique twist on Mexican food without compromising on halal requirements, this restaurant is a must-visit!
Food was delicious we had the shrimp tacos and Burris tacos and churros. Service was also very good. Clean place, the music was pleasant not too loud.
My family and I stopped by for a quick bite after school and were pleasantly delighted with the delicious food, great service and attentive environment. We will definitely return and make it our Mexican Food restaurant going forward. We loved the food and very attentive waitress who paid attention to every detail.
Excellent food and great service. Soft drinks are a little pricey, as are the menu prices, but you get large portions of really exceptional food. Their Birrhia tacos are the best I've had in NJ.
Service: Gustavo man, Gustavo. This Brother gave us top tier service, Masha Allah. He was extremely patient as I was really undecided on what to order since it was authentic Mexican and he really kept our interests in mind. I kept calling him over and over again but he kept smiling and you can tell he was genuinely understanding. He greeted us with Salaam and was so courteous through our whole time there. He also checked in on us to make sure things were going good. Great customer service is something that I never overlook and this customer service I received was one of the best. Food: And the food was so good. It came out one by one so we had stuff to eat from the moment we sat down with the tortilla chips. Had all of our food within 10 min or so which was great. We had Birria tacos, steak bowl, the special quesadilla (forgot the name as it's in Spanish but it had maiz in the name), and tortilla chips. Everything was delicious and legitimately tasted like an authentic foreign cuisine. It is not your average Mexican bowl place. Heavy props to the chef for the amazing flavors and textures of the food! Halal: I mostly eat at HFSAA or HMS Halal certified locations. So considering they were also certified is always my first step to going to any restaurant. I wouldn't have even come if they weren't certified. Remarks: All in all, food and service was great and I definitely recommend others to give it a try!
I love Mexican food and to know there's a Halal Mexican restaurant a few minutes away from my home is everything! The food tastes absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the shrimp empanadas and beef birria tacos! My son had the chicken enchiladas! Chef Gustavo is kind and cooks authentic Mexican dishes! Can’t wait to go back!
Extremely delicious and authentic Mexican food! Such a hidden gem, especially considering this is HMS-certified zabiha halāl which makes it perfect for Muslims. The birria pie is so perfect to share with a group. They have other authentic Mexican food too like mole poblano which I have to try next time. Great and friendly service by all the employees and chefs as well. Will definitely be back here again with family and especially for takeout as well!
Always good to have more halal Mexican options in the area. The chimichanga was delicious, and they give free nachos which is nice. The restaurant itself was spotless and I was impressed and quite satisfied with the immaculateness. It was clear that the premises was sanitized often. Overall I truly enjoyed my visit to Fiesta Healthy Mexican Grill. I will most certainly be returning. I look forward to introducing my amigos to this wonderful Mexican business.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fiesta and I can't stop raving about it! The Mexican birria tacos were a standout, bursting with rich, flavorful meat that melted in my mouth. The burrito bowl was equally impressive, with perfectly spiced rice and tender beef that transported me straight to culinary bliss. I also tried the chicken tacos, which were fresh and vibrant, loaded with toppings that enhanced every bite. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the entire experience even better. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious, authentic flavors!
My Family & I finally made it to try this establishment! And it was an AMAZING experience Gustavo was so welcoming and greeted it us with a huge smile & salaams... The food was fresh made to order & delicious with generous portions. And best of all it's Zabihah Halal 🙌🏽🙌🏽👏🏼 We can wait to bring more of our family & friends.
Found a new local gem! Felt very welcome and the service was excellent. There’s tons of options on the menu with but I went with the steak taco arabe as it was one of the Mexican specialties. My food was delicious and it was such a generous portion I had to take the rest home. Really enjoyed the smoky flavor of the spicy sauce and it was served with fresh avocado and onion. Definitely coming by again!
I like trying new tastes and Mexican kitchen is also new for me. I discovered this place in Google and want to give a try. And I got really happy 🙂 There are many options in their menu, hard to choose one and I got help. I tried Birria Tacos (2 pcs chicken and 2 pcs beef) and Tostadas. Both were delicious 😋😋😋. Eventhoug they warn me, I tried their hot sauce and it made me cry 😃😄. My hot level is low ☹️ Any way, i liked this location and their foods. Will visit again. By the way, I was welcomed very kindly and smily faces. Bathroom was very clean (it is important for me) And lastly, all their menu is Zabiha Halal😍🤩
Authentic Mexican Halal food. This place is really nice and clean. Owner is was super helpful and offered us different sauces to try. Food was too good with authentic Mexican taste. I met with Chef who is Mexican guy and knows his craft well. Everything was fresh, all meat is halal. We had Birria Pie made of of beef and different types of Nachos. Everything was very tasty, meat was very tender. I would highly recommend this place
Overall a neat halal place. The service was a little slow but they only had one guy. The food was decent but way overpriced for the portions for three people.
If you are livingbin north new jersey and looking for good Bangladeshi foods like Biriyani, beef curry, chicken curry, different types of Vorta and many more. I think you guys can try this restaurant. Beside the Bangladeshi items you also be able to try halal Maxican and Italy's dishes.
Picked up food yesterday from Fiesta. The place started few months back. The owner and the chef are very friendly and provides details of the food. They gave us a Mexican drink while we were waiting and that was good. The beef in the biria taco could have been a bit more tender for my liking. Chicken quesadilla was good. Place is very neat and will give it a try again
The birra tacos and birra burgers were great. We got guacamole and chips on the side and the guacamole was fresh. We ordered rice and beans as well but it never made it to the table. The waiter forgot about it and we decided we already had enough food. Service was a little slow but everything was made to order and halal. Overall, food was great, fresh and was homemade style. Just need a little better service. Parking is on the street or in a lot behind the building. The dining area is small and cozy.
Boyfriend was craving good birria tacos so we found this place with such high reviews. The place was empty for a 3pm on a Saturday. The place is such a beautiful mix of cultures and they serve Mexican, Italian, Bangladeshi, and Japanese food. I wanted the albóndigas but they were out that day. I got the shrimp a la Diabla and it was pretty good. Would come back to try out their other dishes for sure.
I really wanted to like this place and was so excited to try it out. Ordered the nachos with chicken and received the spicy chicken when I ordered the regular. The chips tasted like store bought, but the chicken was sooo dry. Crumbled and felt like sand. The birria tacos were just okay. Tasted bland and I did not find much flavor, even with the dipping sauce. The man at the counter was nice and raves about the food, but it was a bit of a let down.
Expensive. Not sure about the entire Halal presentation. Quality not as promissed. the manager/owner took some time to explain that the ingredients are coming straight from Mexico, that they take utmost care of food quality, and recommended the birria tacos. The owner seems to use his personal approach to customers, which is easy because the place is empty, this seems to sway people to post good reviews after they felt that they were personally taken care of by the owner. Quality isn't as great as promissed, radish slices had spoilage marks, French fries are some of the worst I've ever tried, it was just a taste of bad oil and 0 potato, and it was $8-10 for a small portion. Have you tried Five Guys French fries? Birria tacos were way off base, not sure if that's how it is usually prepared, my first time trying it, and it actually looked good, but Oaxaca cheese that was melted over the taco completely blocked all the flavor, and just filled the taco with oil+ birria juice was just a leftover beef grease that would make the taco even more greasier together with cheese, 1 taco fell apart from all the oil from cheese alone. There is reason why tacos don't usually come with cheese, especially excess of cheese. Horchata drink was the only thing that actually enjoyed, but it was only a small cup for $8, when I was told that it was a large cup. I paid $36 for 3 tacos, French fries, and horchata, that's a robbery for a meal that didn't even taste great. The entire approach to Mexican food is way off, unfortunately. I think many people would be put off by Halal in Mexican food instead of embracing it. No reason to reinvent the wheel. Not surprised I was the only customer there. Why put " healthy" in the name of your restaurant when it has nothing to do with the food served there? Lots of deception on many levels. update after owner response: changed the "pork" to "beef", that was my mistake. theres nothing really to address with the owner when the owner talks up a storm and then doesnt actually make sure that the food comes out perfect. I stand by my comment about deceptiveness: no good reason for high prices (I asked the owner if its because of Halal, he said "No, its because of high quality meat and vegetables"), french fries shouldnt even be on the menu when they are that bad, small drink is not a large drink, theres nothing healthy about a menu that serves so much grease especially in Birria tacos, Halal doesnt make it healthy.
This is a new tiny place in Bergenfield area. It's halal and it has vegetarian options as well. The service was excellent and the space itself was clean. Now to the main point. My boyfriend ordered the chicken tacos with cheese. Sadly the chicken was pretty dry and no flavor and the cheese was not it. I ordered the birria ones and although they were better than the chicken ones, they weren't my taste. The main point here is that the food is cooked previously and set on the counter with the hot water at the bottom, but for this kind of food you MUST cook it and serve it, if not will overcook and dry. Another problem is the price. The portions are average but the price is expensive for this kind of place and I'm saying this with the knowledge that they gave us the drinks for free. So I don't want to know how much more expensive that could be. Like I said, the place and service are good. It has potential, but for me and now my rate is average as well.
I visited this place with my husband, and it was one of the worst experiences we've had. The waiter was completely clueless. The food we received was not what we had ordered, and when we pointed it out, he made excuses instead of correcting the mistake. After several attempts to clarify our order, we still ended up with the wrong dish. At that point, we were so frustrated that we didn’t even want to argue anymore. To make matters worse, we weren’t provided with utensils, even though our food had been sitting on the table for about 10 minutes. We had to ask for them, and only then did the waiter bring them to us. Do not recommend this place
I hate to do this on Eid but I recently purchased a Beef Burrito from Fiesta at the MCMC Eid Prayer vendor station. The advertised price for the burritos was $10 so I decided to purchase. As I was scanning to pay I saw they were charging $12. I was thinking maybe it’s a mistake. Luckily my card declined due to it being Amex but then when I paid for a different card they charged $12 again. At this point I was like whatever and not trying to debate, just trying to leave and thinking it’s Eid might as well help a fellow Muslim business. The burrito it self was 95% rice and beans with maybe 4 piece of beef. I ate the beef in one or two bites and then rest was all rice. That was the main reason I’m writing this post lol. Atleast give reasonable portions in the food if you’re going to charge that much. Pic 1: burrito after couple bites. Nothing but rice and some beans. Pic 2: half burrito deconstructed, just all rice and beans.
