This place really does seem like a bar you would visit in St Louis: it's dark, it has pool, cool rock music, a patio, and cheap/strong drinks. The only difference was that it was more spacious and had more Mexican food/beverages. My boyfriend and I felt right at home. Try the nachos. They're delicious, but didn't seem too greasy!

Best dive bar in the area!! Plenty of seating in the back, and everything you could want from the neighborhood bar. Pool table, live music, a photo booth, TVs, a $5 beer and shot combo, and a great bar kitchen in the back! Love the vibes, Molo never disappoints.

Amazing prices, especially the weeknight specials. The outdoor patio fosters conversation and meeting new people. Music inside is great for dancing, usually playing retro hits. So many great memories at MoLo.

I have always loved this local bar. BUT. I had never been so disrespected by a bartender in my life before last night. As someone who works in the service industry, your bartender Norah should not work there. All other staff from Matt to Jason to sarah are AMAZING. I was coherent and kind to Norah. After ordering drinks, I pleasantly asked her her name. She would not give me her name and was rude to me in front of customers. I found out her name from my partner who knows the majority of the people who work there. It set a very bad tone to the evening and I left sad and angry because I had zero disrespect towards her. I tried shaking her hand when I left, and she would not. I will not be returning until this is rectified. I will speak to the owner Ali. As a native to Berkeley, In addition to working with the top promotional company in the bay area, my opinion matters. I am going to pursue this matter further because of how terribly treated I was, and for no good reason at all.

One of the only, if not The Only true people's bar in Berkeley. Berkeley is beautiful albeit gentrified, and I'm happy that The Missouri Lounge still stands. Real people, relaxed atmosphere (w/ smoking area outside) normal prices. This place rocks.

Awesome dive bar during weekdays, decent dance floor on the weekends. Best thing about this place is the hamburgers out at their patio kitchen, decently priced, kitchen open late, and the potato salad is chunky and creamy good.

Dive-y but not bad in terms of staff or clientelle. Decided to host a D&D campaign there for a few hours and got some free nachos that someone never picked up. ^_^;; Generally had a great time as always. A neighborhood staple!

Excellent old school Berkeley Dive watering hole. Fantastic Nachos, be sure to get them "loaded". Nice selection on tap, dog friendly patio too!

Love this place! But you have to pick your parking spot wisely, drunk people+ limited parking=getting your car hit. Other than a little hit and run, the bar is great and The bartenders have a good attitude and are efficient. I really like the back patio.

It's typical no-nonsense dive bar. They have great burgers, absolutely love the food. Do keep in mind that it's a 'dive bar' so don't expect anything fancy!

It's a classic dive bar. Cheap drinks and cheaper patrons. Nice outdoor space. DJ was playing more "modern" music. The crowd included a mix of folk from the area, but did not have the "college bar" feel.

Great dive bar. Kinda smokey. It is what it is. Nothing fancy. Smells funny inside, but the outside is better. Dog friendly. Runs a decent grill. If you go, be ready to share a picnic table with others.

Shot and a beer for 5 bucks? Get outta here!! Kinda sucks to be inside but the outdoor section is nice and that's where all the cool folks are as far as I can tell. The veggie burger tastes straight up like a well done burger. Seems like this place is always open. I have come here to drink at 3pm because my life is bad.

A friend suggested Missouri Lounge and said the owner is such a cool guy. It is a place where all kinds of folks visit and spend time. Food options were limited but really tasty and there is a big yard on the side of the lounge for chilling outside and sip on your drink.

Nice place for a night out with friends, I've seen dogs around and to smoke is allowed in the outside seating side. I love the music and the prices. Also you can fill your stomach

Casual neighborhood dive bar with a friendly vibe. Good drinks, reasonably priced. The patio out back has tables. Citizen Pizza had an oven out back and was serving their original recipe pizzas. I can recommend the Don Ho which is a Hawaiian pizza with jalapeños, and the Outside Voice which is a combination style with tater tots on it. This was my first visit there, so I will have to update this review as appropriate. Parking is on the street, but it's not a bad neighborhood as far as Oakland/Berkeley standards go. The bar is about 50 yards from the Berkeley Chess School, so I will be going there after class on Thursdays for awhile. The bar's name is an homage to the USS Missouri battleship.

Drinks were strong but only tasted okay. The back patio is a great place to hang out. Music was excessively loud inside.

Love this place. Dark loud and cheap drinks. One issue. Waaaaay too many cigarettes being smoked out back. You don’t want to sit on the patio or order food when they have tobacco alley going on back there. At its worst you can’t get away from the smoke inside. Seems like it’s all less than the recommended distance from the doors and the kitchen. I’m going to hope they change the cigarette smoking patio to non smoking. Until then I’ll go when it’s slow.

A little slow with the food (30 min.) and the veggie burger was super spicy despite no warnings. Lots of seating in the back. However it got pretty chilly and it would have been nice if they could have lit the outside heaters. Things look pretty worn down too overall. Friendly staffed and tipped well.

Went here for the Impossible Burger (Google it...yummy...and only a few places in Berkeley offer it), but just couldn't stay. The bar inside is not a very welcoming place to eat...you can sit at the bar, or on a long and ancient vinyl couch against the wall that was so torn and worn that I wouldn't let my dog sit on it (if I had a dog, which I don't, or if you could bring dogs in a bar, which you shouldn't...except in Berkeley). So I went outside, where they have a large patio with ample seating on picnic tables. But it reeked....seemed like everyone out there was smoking something...clove, weed, tobaccy.... So I left. The Impossible Burger, had I stayed, would have been $9...very reasonable for Berkeley! Instead I ended up paying $16 at a cafe near campus. But at least I could breathe.

PLEASE READ!! This place is not too friendly if you're black!!!. I've seen the difference in the way they treat customers Whites compared to blacks. Is sad because it always hasn't been this way. But now it's so blatant you can see it in the majority of the bartender's eyes. The drinks are cheap that's the best part about the place. I had a birthday yesterday which was March 18th I turned 46 years old. I was ID and had to remove my hat so that he can tell if it was me or not. All my friends are over 40 years old and where ID. One of my friends hadn't gotten his new license sent to him but he had his old one which was expired 2 months expired and they refused to let him in. I have been going there for 4 or 5 years and used to bring all my friend and brag about the place. Since I couldn't get in all ten of us left. We went to Kip's and had a great time. The owner name is Ali and is of an non European background and you would think that this place would be more ethnic conscious unless you want the redneck image. What a lot of the bartenders do is serve and talk to a lot of the white customers which you should do any customers. But with most of the bartenders there, they serve black customers and continue on doing what their doing. Some people might not feel it is important but I don't care what you do just make it consistent and fare to all the customers. Treat all the customers the same no matter their race.

So so so bad!!! The service is so bad, People not nice. Not talking nicely. Never go here to spend good time. Very poor service.
