From beginning to end the service was exceptional. All staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. We would certainly recommend a visit here to anyone.

Absolutely top drawer and very reasonably priced for the quality of food that comes out of that fantastic kitchen. We didn't opt for the fixed price lunch menu so I can only comment on the main menu, and the servings are truly hearty for fine dining. I found myself having to leave half of the bread, and our side of crinkle cut chips (which were utterly delicious) were barely touched. I seriously felt like asking for a doggy bag but it's not that kind of place. The menu has been creatively crafted by a very intelligent kitchen. It is reassuringly restricted on choice (my pet hate is a vast menu) so you know that every dish will have been afforded a huge amount of attention, and that the produce is spot-on. Every dish was faultless. Service was utterly lovely. I am so jealous of the residents of Beverley and those close by, I truly wish it were closer to my home. I would go quite regularly. Beverley is a delightful place too, so next time when it is better weather we will arrive early, have a walk round and enjoy another amazing lunch

If there is a better restaurant in East Yorkshire I am yet to find it. This place is special the food is always delicious and the service exemplary! Highly recommended and never fails to deliver and we have been visiting since it opened its doors.

Our favourite place to celebrate anniversaries. The food is just like magic in your mouth. All flavours are so well balanced, even for the unexpected combinations. Every single dish is spot on. We tried the wagyu steaks during our last visit and were not disappointed. Can't recommend this place highly enough! Congratulations to the chef and all staff for the great food and service!

A fantastic meal out for a birthday treat! Although more expensive than the pipe and glass I think it was worth price tag. Great atmosphere and decoration, fantastic food. Would highly recommend for a special occasion.

This is one of our favourite restaurants and our go-to for special occasions. A fantastic atmosphere with lovely attentive staff and is always been busy when we go, which is no wonder as the food is exceptional. It's on the pricey side, but you really do get what you pay for.

A chilled glass of champagne and a delicious dessert to celebrate my mums retirement. Enjoyed a lovely meal on an early Wednesday evening. Lovely setting and ambience although not warm enough to choose an outside seat. Quite full inside very early. You really do need to book. The service is very good and the food is excellent. We rejected the set menu as rather mundane which I suppose is no surprise. We had Lemon Sole for our main course and it was delicious. It looked beautiful, tasted great and was easy to digest. Good for old folk but I think younger diners would be better choosing something more substantial. For our starters, we had scallops and the terrine and can recommend both. I had a limoncello baba: rich, luxuriant and tangy. Update: The Westwood is conveniently situated and very accessible but it can get very crowded at busy times. We booked for am early Tuesday evening and experienced no problems parking. My wife had no difficulties getting in with her frame, so disabled guests should have no trouble. The service was first rate, friendly and very helpful. The interior has a modern, comfortable, roomy and relaxing ambience and was nice and warm on a cold January evening. The menu is extensive but we chose the prix fixe section and were very happy with this. It is available Tuesdays to Fridays inclusive. You can have two courses at £22.50 or three courses for £24.50. The choice looks a tad limited but there is some flexibility. My daughter didn’t fancy the soup of the day option but was able to choose an alternative. Just ask! The family rated the soups: thick, warming and very tasty. I chose the celeriac and apple risotto with blue cheese. It was first rate – an absolute delight! The fish of the day was sea bream. It was beautifully cooked with a crispy skin. The duck was also rated. It too was tender with a crispy skin. Side dishes are not included in the price but are available for those with a hearty appetite. The passion fruit cream with raspberries and pistachio was a great combination of texture and tastes that we can recommend. All the dishes were beautifully presented and an extensive list of drinks was provided from which we chose and can recommend the crisp and fruity New Zealand sauvignon blanc.

We don't often go for fine dining restaurants so were a little unsure of what to expect. But the staff at The Westwood did a great job of making us feel comfortable. The service was amazing and the individual waiters all made us feel welcome. We went for the venison, lamb and wagyu bavette. Each of which was so good. But we really enjoyed the venison. We were celebrating our anniversary on the night, and this restaurant really made it feel special!

One of the best restaurants in the area by far. Always phenomenal food, service and atmosphere. The W bar upstairs serves excellent drinks before your meal. If you like your steak, you must try their signature bone-in prime rib steak marinade in bourbon, molasses and thyme as it is absolutely delicious!

We had such an Exelent eve .. celebrating a special occasion an was well worth it, from the delicious cocktails, amazing food, wine and complimentary macaron for my partners birthday was a lovley gesture, very relaxed atmosphere

A very enjoyable meal. I particularly liked the crispy fried green olives… so good!

High-class restaurant with great food and friendly quality staff. Only slight niggle was it was somewhat noisy, but that is an issue with our fellow patrons. Good parking, very stylish decor.

Terrific birthday dinner for my hubby. We were visiting the super pretty Market town of Beverly for the weekend and booked here for dinner so we had no expectations other than hoping it would be good. Well, it certainly didn't disappoint! The place is beautiful appointed and annexed to a stunning building which houses a Spa. Outside of London, waiting staff and service can be very hit and miss but not here!! Our waitress was superb, from the moment we arrived to taking g the orders, serving, advising, very attentive without being over the top or intrusive. The meal was exquisite and could easily rival some Michelin starred places! My tuna tartare starter was the best I had the pleasure to eat anywhere in the world. They also did a mini birthday surprise for my husband which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. What a wonderful unexpected experience it was! The restaurant along with its lovely town must belong to England's best kept secrets! We hope to go back again soon!

Everyone who goes loves it, great food and service. Been a few times, if there is a group of you, use the private dining room. It’s special.

Though a smidge expensive, a visit here is worth every penny. The staff are exceptional, it's a lovely venue to eat in whether dining with friends, family or on a date, and the food is out of this world. If I have one, tiny, criticism, it's that the vegetarian options are quite limited and not as exciting as the meat based (though this is a common theme in most restaurants, so it would be fantastic if they added more - but not necessarily expected)

Popped by for lunch with the girls, the food was divine (steak with bone marrow jus and crinkle chips, totally divine. And the baked bone marrow side. Ohhh but the pudding was the winner, peanut brittle chocolate fondant!! Say no more!!) Loved it, the staff were fabulous, and even got a little birthday surprise!!

Absolutely wonderful evening from the moment we stepped trough the door. Warm greeting, upstairs to the bar for drinks, menus then food orders, had a nice chat with the host about local gin. Taken down to the restaurant, lovely table setting with tables nicely spaced out, very professional but friendly service with just the right amount of time between courses. There was a warm relaxed atmosphere, busy but not overpowering. The main reason we were there of course was for the food which was excellent, well prepared and presented, and, very very tasty! Overall, a fabulous, faultless evening. This is how restaurants should be!

We first visited Westwood last year for my dad’s 50th birthday and said we couldn’t wait to come back, yesterday, my husband and I returned to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. From the moment you walk in, the staff make you feel so welcome with their warmth and genuine friendliness. The energy is just brilliant. Everything runs at your pace with food and drinks, we never once felt rushed or forgotten about. The whole team is so attentive without ever being intrusive. The food is absolutely fantastic, an amazing balance of flavours, beautifully presented, but still with those hearty Yorkshire portions. Westwood really has its own identity, we’ve been lucky enough to dine at many lovely restaurants, but this one is by far the best for us. The atmosphere is fantastic, top quality yet still completely down-to-earth and relaxed. We honestly cannot recommend it highly enough!

Everything overall was first class from arrival to departure. The evening was a family dinner to celebrate my 70th birthday and I can honestly say it was the best night out I'd had in ages. In particular I should like to thank the young lady who looked after us, I am sorry I didn't get her name but she had blonde hair in a pony tail and had attended Beverley Longcroft school. She was excellent, efficient, knowledgeable, polite, very personable and nothing was too much trouble, she went way above what most like staff provide. She is a credit to your restaurant and should get an immediate substantial pay rise. I do not get out much as I suffer with cancer but will certainly make the effort to come again when I feel up to it.

Had dinner here last night and was surprised at how busy it was, until we had our dinner!! Superb food and service at a reasonable price in a wonderful building!! We will be going again soon!!!

We visited yesterday afternoon and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was simply incredible—fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared, and it was clear a lot of care went into each one. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, perfect for a leisurely afternoon meal. Truly a gem of a restaurant—we can’t wait to return

I had the Wagyu special and it was cooked to perfection. It tasted like it had been barbecued on the inside and yet the middle was lovely and rare. There were 6 us at the table and they still found time to pour our wine. Great food and service. We all had different things and everyone had a good meal
