Despite my flight being delayed, I decided to try the chipotle chicken sandwich to stave off my hunger. It turned out to be worth every cent! The large, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie was a delightful bonus, filling the concourse with its delicious aroma. The staff were incredibly friendly, helping me navigate the menu and recommending their favorite sandwich.

Very busy place. Tiny little place. The decor is contemporary. Expensive place. They would charge employee wellness fee of .49 cents. Basically a 3% employee wellness will be applied on all guest checks. I guess it’s similar to “tips”. This is the first I have encountered something like this. They also toasted prosciutto sandwich with fresh tomatoes in it. Nevertheless the prices are way high.

I recently grabbed a quick bite at Naturaly Break while waiting for my flight. Overall, it was a decent experience for airport food.

Pros: • Convenient Location: The shop is conveniently located near the gates, making it easy to grab a sandwich on the go. • Speedy Service: The staff was efficient and got my order ready quickly, which is great when you're in a rush. • Fresh Ingredients: The sandwich I had was made with fresh ingredients, and the bread was soft and tasty. Cons: • Limited Options: The menu is somewhat limited, so if you're looking for a wide variety of choices, you might be disappointed. • Pricey: As expected with airport food, the prices are on the higher side. I felt the sandwich was a bit overpriced for what it was. • Seating Area: The seating area was quite small and crowded, making it difficult to find a place to sit and enjoy the meal. Was a solid choice if you need a quick and fresh sandwich before your flight. Just be prepared for the typical airport pricing and limited seating.

This is the only food offered at the satellite regional terminal for American Airlines. They actually have a pretty decent selection of things, but since there is only one place to choose from the line can be quite long.

Only location, long line, one cashier, oh and ridiculous prices but if you’re hungry be prepared for $5 drinks minimum and $20 breakfast sandwich.

We grab a mix danish (cherry & cream cheese). I'm a big fan with danish & croissant. When I look all food here look so yummy buttttt!!!!! Nooooo🙄😔....not really .. when I try a danish here taste is good but... It didnot seem fresh, it s too dry like eating paper 😮‍💨😟😢 make me feel not enjoy eating this danish... Anyway this time lucky for me because make me ... not done with this danish 🤣🤣 then I will get more slimmer thank you this time to not delicious not enjoy eating lol. Couple things here is good that is 1. they show all price on food to tell you then you can design and pick food for you 2. Cashier & coworker reply and explain some food when you have some questions 3. ♿ Wheelchair Accessibility: ✅️ but tiny!! So I didnot buy more any food or any sandwich here ... I just take picture all the price on food & drink for everyone. 📶 Wifi: ✅️ (use airport) 💳 Debit / Credit Card: ✅️

Don't show up at LAX hungry. I was going to grab a bite or a coffee while switching planes in terminal 5 at LAX until I saw they were charging $6 for a plain coffee and $20 for some sandwiches. I decided to keep my money. I'm only here for an hour. The fruits and sandwiches do look good though. Do Californians realize how much they are paying over and above most of the rest of the country? I suppose New York is probably just as bad. If this is an indication of prices in the local economy then I understand why many people are fleeing the state despite the natural beauty.

Very pricey. A bottle of juice costed me 14$. This is the only location where food is available for gates 52A-J. I would suggest getting food from outside or if coming through other terminals then from there if you want more options.

T
Trevor Dahl

Gas-station food for Erewhon prices. This place takes full advantage of their captive clients at the remote AA terminal. They know they're the only option if you forget to get something in Terminal 4. I paid $90 for two seltzers, two lattes, a sandwich and a breakfast wrap. Everything was mediocre.

k
katrina guzman

While the food looks decent, the cafe was only accepting cash when I was at the terminal. Super annoying when you're at a satellite terminal. I'm only giving the place 2 stars because The cashier was very nice.

A
A L

Overpriced since only thing in terminal at 52. No personality. LAX and American Airlines needs to do better.

M
Masahiro Ono

A sandwich costs $20, exploiting the monopoly at the island Gates 52 where there is no other competitors. I hope the employees here are paid well, rather than receiving the minimal wage while all the extra profit goes to the greedy owner. Live long capitalism.

R
Ricky Ninh

Worst, overpriced sandwich ever. The bread is hard as a rock and isn't edible. They almost forgot my cappuccino as well until another employee asked what else I ordered and gave it to me. I can't cook to save my life, and even I can make a better ham BLT sandwich.

J
James

What a joke. 25 hours for chips and a ham sandwich. not even close to what their image is Advertiser going to receive. I literally paid $25 for some kid to grab my sandwich throw it in the microwave and hand me some ketchup and mustard packets. I could have gotten the same service at 7-Eleven.

F
Fran Brown

Only food option in the “terminal” and this was their $22 Chicken Caesar “wrap”. Overpriced and dry

L
Lo

$20 for an egg and cheese tortilla… I understand we’re in the airport and food is going to be more expensive, but that is insane.

O
O R

I ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap and honestly, it was one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. The taste was awful, the quality was extremely poor, and I can’t believe a place can serve something like this and still stay open. Truly disappointing and shameful to sell food like that. I would never recommend this café to anyone.

J
Jon Fross

Overpriced because they have no competition in the American Terminal. Bagel wasn't toasted just microwaved. QR code to review or comment directly doesnt work cause too cheap to pay for plan.

P
Peter Montgomery

Absolute scam. They trap you in this satellite terminal and this is the only food option. $20 for a chewy microwaved breakfast sandwich and 8 for a coffee. Garbage. And the staff is always pissed. LAX do better. Flying out of these gates is a terrible experience.

I purchased coffee and some breakfast sandwiches. After a very long wait in line and then for the food; I find out that someone else had taken my food. I found that odd because I was waiting for my number to be called and it was never called. After 30 minutes waiting to be called I walk to the gentleman that was at the counter and ask him for my coffee and food. He ignored me at first. After several attempts to be heard he responded extremely rude. I don’t know your number was called someone took it. I know that my number was not called because I was very attentive. He said wait and we will prepare again. I let him know that after waiting for so long I couldn’t wait. My flight was boarding. I asked for a refund and he ignored me. The bill was $110 for 4 coffees and 3 breakfast croissant sandwiches. I understand that there was only 2 people working there and they are busy but that does not give you the right to treat your customers with so much disrespect. There was also another customer that was trying to get assistance from the gentleman at the cashier . He was also rude to her and she made sure she voiced her concerns

S
Sopa Doodles

This is the only food stop in the terminal, so obviously their prices are ridiculously expensive. Paying with cash takes about ten minutes. The fruit was not ripe, and the cinnamon buns have a sour taste and leave a film in your mouth. A cup of juice costs $10.

Y
Yi Heng Feng

They charge $23 for a premium sandwich. I understand with airport mark up, but this is worse than gas station sandwich. The chicken has no taste and rubbery. And they have the audacity to ask for a tip. Just bring your own sandwich next time.

M
Mark Carter

Food wasn't terrible but the price and service certainly were. Got a bacon and egg croissant and a coffee. Ended up paying $32 after tax. The cashier started serving someone else as I was getting cash out so I had to wait before I could hand it over. Sandwich took ages to be warmed up and, while ok, was NOT worth the price or the service.

J
Jordan Roberts

Deliberately incompetent and overpriced as it is the only food offering at this section of the terminal. Called our order number 15 minutes after we ordered and they tried to hand us entirely incorrect food. Then had to wait an additional 10 minutes at the counter and tell them each specific item of our order 1 at a time to get it made. Food is the lowest quality I have seen. I do not think the staff was capable of reading the receipt or our order.

J
Jordan

AVOID! You've been warned. $30 for a sandwich and drink. The most disgusting airport item I've consumed in over 20 years. Eat in the main terminal before coming here, or starve. This place needs to close down asap. Just disgraceful. Once again, avoid...you've been warned!

R
Ryan Peters

Absolute definition of consumer price gouging. The rest of the airport and the vending machines are far cheaper. Run by a guy who didn't give a crap about anyone. They got my wife's food order wrong. Please avoid this place at all costs. They need to be driven out of business by a failure to sell. I personally decided to go hungry vs paying the price for this food. $20 for just half a wrap. Absolutely insane.

T
Tess

Truly just not worth the cost. Feels very predatory to have the isolated regional terminal charge at least $2-3 extra on every item compared to the main terminal (which is 20 minutes away, not allowing for a ride back) because this is the only a place to buy things in this small terminal.

A
Andrew Kantner

I ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap for $24, and the croutons were soft and the lettuce was slimy. It went straight into the trash. Avoid food at all costs. The only thing I would buy here are sealed beverages. What a waste of food, money, and time.

g
goob

Great customer service but you’re ripping people off. But why is beef jerky 14 dollars? And also, I wanted a yogurt but the tiny cup was 10 dollars :(

A
Alan Nieczyporuk

$15 for a beer and $17 for a premade tuna sandwich? This should be illegal. $23 for a chicken sandwich?? It is also premade, they just pop in the microwave for you. This is preposterous, especially when that is your only option at the gate!! I’d give 0 stars if I could.

J
John Carpenter

It's the only food vendor in the Eagles Nest terminal at LAX and they engage in price gouging. If you have to use that terminal, get food elsewhere first.

G
Gabriel Turek

Lower your prices, price gouging isn’t nice! You trapped us in the gate with no other option and sell bad food for top dollar. The employee was nice though.

P
Paul Frost

Absurd price gouging for any chumps unlucky enough to be stuck in the AA term 5 regional annex. 25 bucks for a sandwich that should be 3 bucks anywhere else. I hope it's featured in a future textbook as a shining monument to late-stage capitalism.

J
Jason Eggleston

This place is overpriced and just not very good. The breakfast sandwiches are $20 and a basic medium size cup of coffee is $7, which is twice what a much superior large one costs at Starbucks. It also was really bitter and sour, and I dumped half of it in the garbage. They don’t offer you any options for creamer except the small generic crappy ones. I finally convinced the employee to add a little bit of milk to mine, which should be standard if you have to pay that much. I would avoid this place.

K
Kristal Anderson

Ordered the bacon croissant with a 12oz coffee. Coffee came out quickly before I left the register. But the bacon crossiant took forever, I had to remind staff I was still waiting past 10 mins. I finally got my order after other bacon orders got theirs after I ordered. Super expensive (pre-made) bacon croissant sandwich @ $22 and coffee is $6. If you have time to stop in the main terminal before getting to this smaller terminal, I highly recommend you eat there before coming here. Wish I could take back my generous tip. 😒

Below is a picture of a $22 HALF WRAP of the driest Caesar Chicken you’ve ever seen in your entire life. It is also so full it can’t fully wrap which you can’t tell at first because it’s wrapped in paper. I was too scared to open it so I poured the dressing on it little by little, I did ask for more dressing and it was promptly given to me (shocker, no charge!!!!!) With every bite the tortilla tore a little more. Lastly when I did peel back some of the paper and realized it’s not even “wrapped” at the bottom I almost tossed it. I get it, airport food is pricey but seriously!!!!! Make it edible for $22

J

Eat inside main terminal 5 before you take shuttle to regional gate 52. This is definition of price gouging.... didn't read other reviews until already here .,.. other reviews that main terminal is much more reasonable. 22.00 for a sausage, egg and cheese croissant and 8.00 for a coffee. The croissant was not fresh, it is prepared earlier, then microwaved-too long for the cheese and not long enough for sausage. I can't even describe what was wrong with the egg. Flying companion got just a soft drink since I was riding, $7.00. We did not see vending machine tucked away at one end that was $3.00 less for same number of Oz's. American airlines appears to be only airline at this regional terminal operating with some other like Skywest. THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO ALLOW THIS TO THEIR PASSENGERS. I GUESS IT SHOULD NOT SURPRIZE ME. THEY REMOVED ANY SIGNS OF COMFORT, SERVICE AND CONVINCE FROM THE PLAN YEARS AGO.... This experience is not the fault of Airlines but of LAX and Los Angeles....AS A REPRSENTATION OF ONE OF AMERICAS LARGEST CITY IT IS A DISGRACE. This restaurant is only option for 10 gates. Review asked if dine in or take...you can't dine in...small table area for maybe 3, good luck with this

Why no salt and pepper? I ordered a cheese and egg croissant and it had no flavor but was nice and warm. When I asked for salt and pepper the server smiled said they had none. Why? Next time I will get GOOD food in the main terminal before making the trek to the add-on terminal for American’s smaller flights. What a ripoff for a captured audience! And way too experience To boot!

M

This place was highway robbery. Jacked up the price of a simple egg and cheese sandwich I could get at McDonald’s to $25 - and it was about the same quality. They take advantage of the fact there is no other food in the terminal and should be put out of business or at least faced with some price regulation or competition so the unfortunate people laying over for hours there have another alternative.

M
Matthew Brondum

$33 for breakfast sandwich and a coffee is simply unexplainable. The employees seemed quite overwhelmed from the line of 40 people they were handling. This was a tragic experience even for the low standards I hold airport restaurants to.

D
Dan Davis

The price was insane. $71 for two sandwiches and two drinks is ridiculous. It would be nice if prices were clearly posted. I also don’t appreciate that they have the card terminal set up where you have to leave a tip. Wait did they do to deserve a tip? Nuked my sandwich and handed it to me. We would have went hungry had we known the prices ahead of time.

C
Chris Gray

$7 for a crappy drip coffee short of the 16 oz advertised volume and $22 for a breakfast sandwich in the only "restaurant" in the terminal. I will avoid booking American in the future if this is the level of service and price gouging that they promote.

B
Becca Eisenberg

This place is insanely overpriced. $8 for a DRIP COFFEE. $17 for a basic sandwich? This is highway robbery just because they are the only option in this terminal. The “lattes” come out of a gas station style machine and cost $10. Could have gotten an equivalent coffee out of a vending machine tbh. The employees were nice and that was the only redeeming factor. I just spent $22 for a drip coffee and a bad latte.

M

This place is so ridiculously overpriced!! It's the only option in the regional airline terminal, and they sell everything literally at 5 times regular price. Every sandwich is at least $22 dollars. Worst sandwich and worst value for money I got for anything, in a long while. This place is outrageously overpriced and offers horrible food. As others said, taking advantage that this terminal has nothing else in it. Of course, American Airlines sending people to the worst locations on the airport.. never gonna fly with them again.

N
Nina Paul

The service was fine. Those people don't set the extortionist prices… They just work there... I'm giving this one star because I didn't want to pay $22 for a small sandwich…so I didn't try the food. I paid 7.75 plus tax for a mediocre cup of coffee. Regular brewed coffee. Then they wanted to charge me another 1.69 if I wanted non dairy milk. This is outrageous as they provide dairy milk for free. Disgusting extortion. Profit margin must be to the moon and back. Shame on them. Never will I ever buy anything from this place again.

J
Jared Hastings

It's the only option at the American Eagle terminal and the prices are either the modern day equivalent of being mugged or the tariffs are hitting the airport economy hard. Was hungry, but not hungry enough to spend over $20 for a $2 sandwich. Drip coffee was about $7 and my wife's latte (from a machine, not a barrista) was $10 for a small. Avoid unless you're desperate and ok being hospitably shaken down for your proverbial milk money. For what it's worth, the staff was at least friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience. American Airlines transfers some passengers to Terminal 8, where the food court effectively has only one option: Natural Break. There are no alternatives, which creates a completely monopolized situation for travelers. Given that passengers have no other choice, one would at least expect reasonable quality. However, the food quality is very poor, while the prices are extremely high. There is absolutely no balance between price and quality. What makes this even more frustrating is that passengers are taken a considerable distance to this terminal, only to find that the sole dining option available serves overpriced, low-quality food. It feels less like customer service and more like taking advantage of travelers who have no alternatives. I truly hope the airport or airline management addresses this lack of choice and poor quality, because passengers deserve much better.
