F un diner with jukebox, nice employees and good food. They have lots to look at ( the funny saying behind the counter, the bar stool with Drew Carey’s name, variety of tshirts). The food was really good. Although it is mostly diner food, none of it was greasy. My only complaint is the lack of parking.

Such a cute retro vibe in here, complete with a photo booth! Loved their cappuccino and vegan Cobb salad. Service was great too. Highly recommend for vegans and non vegans looking for a brunch place since they serve break da set and lunch all day

Amazing place! The food here was absolutely delicious! We had no issues with the dishes. Pancakes was delicious and I liked the Steak and Fries. The food was cleanly made and nice. Vibes of the place was amazing as well.

Swingers it's always great but I was just trying to get there the other night and there's just no parking. There's just no parking. You can't find street parking. They don't have a lot so we left and we went to Canter's that is 10 minutes away from them on Fairfax. Both are 24-hour reliable delis, but there's just no parking at swingers So eventually you have to leave. You won't find parking and you'll go to the more reliable deli which is cantors. That's on Fairfax because you will get parking for sure. They have a free parking lot

I would say the nostalgia, great service, and ambiance are the main reasons to go here. Food can be a bit hit or miss. Jerk Chicken was solid-- chicken was a little salty, but overall good! Well rounded plate, loved the plantains. They gave a hefty lemon wedge which is always appreciated ;-)

Swingers is the kind of place that feels like it was cast in a Tarantino movie, and I mean that both as a compliment and a mild warning. Neon signs, checkerboard floors, servers that look like they moonlight as bassists in punk bands — it’s got character, no doubt. The problem is, the food only sometimes does. Breakfast? Solid. Pancakes and eggs come out looking like they know what they’re doing. Coffee’s strong enough to reboot your nervous system. But anything beyond brunch gets dicey — like they forgot you can season food after 11 a.m. Prices lean “gentrified nostalgia,” and the crowd is a mix of struggling screenwriters and people pretending not to be tourists. Service is friendly but a little scattered, like everyone’s running on vibes and espresso fumes. Still, it’s open late, always weirdly comforting, and feels like one of the last surviving alt diners in L.A. But yeah, it’s more of a 2 a.m. idea than a destination dinner. Three stars — come for the aesthetic, stay because it’s too late to find anything else open. ALSO definitely get the edwin’s breakfast pasta.

Yeah. Iconic. Vibey. On the surface a fun place, but you gptta bring fun people to really enjoy it. Got all the energy to support what u bring tho... all kinds of unusual types, at least by looks.... The only thing is the food is just good, but not amazing. And Im sorry to say, but unless yer a cheap diner, your food has to be really great. Because after paying this huge bill, you realize yer only paying for the atmosphere, and that feels like being punked. I guess what Im saying is just make the food a bit better so we can experience the awesomeness this place could be (wishful thinkjng cuz its been pretty much the same 4ever, maybe added blech vegan options.) oh... and if yer getting the rocket shake, ask them to triple mix it so the coffee bean pieces dont stick in ur teeth

Updated 2024.12.15. Their diner has a retro theme from the 1950's but with 2024 prices. Their food quality is good, service decent, except for their breakfast potatoes which are bad, opt for their fries instead. Atmosphere depending on when you're here, it's been fairly quiet and fairly loud. Their small Swingers salad 8.95 is small, order their regular size for 10.95. Their California Omelette, Eggs Benedict were okay, their steak and fries were quite tasty.

This is their $17 stuffed grilled cheese. Need I say more? A 7 year old could make a better effort at a grilled cheese than this. Not a single spice, cheese that takes up only 60% of the bread, 2 tiny slices of tomato. Garbage. 🗑️

Hey so when you poach an egg, the yolk runs. It’s what makes it poached. It’s essential to a Benedict. It is also a very quick process. If you ordered a steak rare and it came out as a solid black burned brick, you would be upset. If you order a Benedict and get an egg where the yolk is chalky yellow like a hard boil, you’d be sad. The restaurant closed at 3 and we ordered at 230, even though it would take 90 seconds to fix the egg, if they were that egregiously bad, I don’t trust you to fix it. Now on to hollandaise. As you can see by that goopy infected splooge consistency, that is SPLIT. The whole batch is ruined. Not one bit of creaminess, not a hint of citrus tang. It was hardly a sauce. Milkshake was amazing. Home fries were good with ketchup. Would’ve added salt and pepper and fixed them properly but they weren’t on the table. If you’re drunk and don’t respect yourself, this is indeed a place to eat food. I’d highly recommend just getting a milkshake and reminiscing on a time when diners weren’t small hate crimes against your taste buds.
